1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Could Be The Key To World Peace on: March 12, 2020, 12:05:57 PM
Imagine bitcoin being the legal tender of most developed countries in the world. it will go a long way in bringing the world together.
but that won't be an easy task cause some countries won't still concur with the idea.

I mean why would they even make it that way when the price can be controlled by the whales, that is just a short cut of saying whales control the world, right? Another thing is the volatility, the decentralization and the anonymity of bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I am not being negative here but it might not even happen since they know all of this.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 12, 2020, 12:31:58 AM
It was easy to say that we can escape from addiction but then, it is really hard to do it.
We cant say that there is no chance of being untied into addiction but of course, it needs to work hard on it and most probably it takes months (not days) before we are finally out from the circle.

Not just days, we are talking years here. Despite you realizing that you are already addicted, despite you prioritizing other things than gambling, you will never get that out of your system. Gambling will be a part of your life, and to get that out is something like stopping yourself to pick your nose or to clean your years (IK, that's weird but you get the idea). Addiction is not a joke, and it is not something that we could just take lightly.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 11, 2020, 11:53:57 PM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

No, to be honest, I can't. Despite the problem I am facing, despite the crisis I am still gambling. It is hard to stop, I can limit those times that I am gambling but I can't really stop it. Being said, I know my priorities; I know what should I do but I just can't get that out of my system, it is just there. It is a problem of mine but I can say that I can stop, limiting myself is just the start of it.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 11, 2020, 09:50:03 PM
I think the usual reason why online gambling is the best is that because of the fact that bitcoin offers anonimity or pseudo anonimity. That is the best advantage of it since you can gamble without judging eyes looking at you, no matter who you are, you can keep on gambling since they will never know. Some sites also offers auto-rolls or bots that we can use so it can't really bother our jobs and don't waste our time being in front of a PC for a long time.
1365  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: March 11, 2020, 03:51:03 PM
KYC does not diminish the decentralization of blockchain technology. These things are mostly done to conform to the regulation within the jurisdiction. Besides, there are decentralized exchanges that don't require KYC and you can remain anonymous but the percentage is very small at the moment.

That is so true though. Despite people using bitcoin so they can stay anonymous, KYC is beneficial for users, investors, and exchanges and in the community as well. I don't like the idea of KYC since it is the opposite of what crypto currencies goals are but still, the existence of it is not to kill decentralization but to take care of it.
1366  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19: Do not worry the market worry on people. on: March 11, 2020, 02:23:44 PM
I think people are overreacting since they thought that if people are having a hard time dealing with transactions and money because of this epidemic, they might sell their bitcoins and affect the price negatively. We should not be affected in terms of our crypto currencies, this virus is not directly affecting the price of bitcoin if it was the reason of the dump it should've dropped earlier when the virus is just starting.
1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever lost access to your Bitcoins? on: March 07, 2020, 11:44:52 PM
I did lose access to my bitcoins one time and that is because of my stupidity. I forgot where I put my private key, the same with my altcoins since I accidentally deleted the JSON file and just realized that after clearing up my Recycle Bin. Take care of your bitcoins you guys, especially private keys, seeds and files like JSON. IF you have a lot to hold better buy a ledger.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: March 07, 2020, 11:20:51 PM
Those screenshots look like they are photoshopped.  Grin
I don't think i've ever seen a team open up a game with 20-0 run either, but in Rockets defense, Hornets played a lot of zone d which as you all know can disrupt a someone's offense (7 TO in 5 minutes). They just got make their open corner 3s, if Hornets continue to stay in that 2-3 zone.

I think Warriors scored 20 in a row in the finals this year (don't remember which game it was).

FH: Hornets 57 : 43 Rockets

Apparently, this really happened. Maybe thyey are just heating up but they are playing against Hornets. Maybe they are missing shots again like the game against Clippers or maybe teams really know how to shutdown Rockets with the small line up they have.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: March 07, 2020, 02:09:00 PM
What I can recommend in this situation is that never to do it. I can't find the thread about gambling always being compared to trading, I want to show that to the OP so that he can understand the difference between those two. As trading and gambling is a risk, gambling can lose all your money while trading can just lose the percentage of the money you have. Saying this, if you really want to do something about the money your friend lend you, better choose to trade than gambling.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 07, 2020, 01:42:33 PM
To be honest, no.

Reputation might be important but I think it would not stop me. I might stop for a while but after some time it will go back. It is not something you could just stop, it is something that became part of you for a long time. I can control those gambling urges but I can't stop gambling, there is a difference in those two.

This depends on the person. This is the reason I am reducing the time I am gambling since as a teacher, you need to build up your reputation. In our country, reputation will be hitting the ground once someone found a bad side of you. That is the reason we usually call the society we have cancerous, a lot of cancers destroying a good community.
1371  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: March 07, 2020, 01:00:30 PM
Well, we can't really say that bitcoin will have no value at that point. Another thing is that the government will not be accepting this so, despite the fiat's value going down, that just means the conversion of bitcoin to that currencies will be going up. When there is no fiat, then bitcoin will be the only currency, no conversion, no other things just bitcoin and other crypto currencies.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Start investing so you can quit your job and retire early. on: March 07, 2020, 12:31:05 AM
FOMO can be dangerous sometimes, but you don't need to rush things since you are missing out and there are these people that earn thousands and millions in their investments. Everyone wants to earn huge amount of money without working 6-8 hours a day, that is everyone's dream. Though you don't need to sugarcoat everything here, investing does not mean you can have a profit every day, every week or every month. You are still wanting these people to take a risk and you should let them know that.
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Could Be The Key To World Peace on: March 06, 2020, 03:45:47 PM
Guys, you have to be a little realistic. Bitcoin cannot be a cure for all. World peace is a utopia. I personally can see it with my eyes every day.

We expect blockchain and Bitcoin to be the solution to everything. I don't think this is possible.

Well, that is so true. A lot of people wanted it but it is so impossible to achieve with a lot of conflicts that are engraved in the history of this world. Crypto currencies have a different goal and it is usually circling around decentralization and anonymity. World Peace is quite impossible but who knows, it might start a peace in a country in some way.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: March 06, 2020, 12:38:39 AM
For that case better seek a doctor's help or a life counselor since they are the one who can help you get out on that messy life, remember addiction can be stop but it needs the participation of the affected person since if they still insist then all the efforts given will be useless, and also don't forget to go to church always and ask for guidance so that you will give a clear mind to man up.

That is what I need but as a teacher, I can't usually do that. Planning the lessons ahead, checking activities and usually checking up on them can really eat my time. To be honest, you are more busy with your job than your personal life and I still find time to gamble take note of that. I think I can do this, I am not that weak mentally so I have some ways to do things.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: March 05, 2020, 10:29:17 PM
first we should not be addicted to gambling

But that is not easy! I was addicted in the past so I know how hard it is. I just cried every night at that time since I don't want my wife to leave me. I can't stop gambling, in fact until now I am still gambling despite the fact that I am addicted in the past. I just can't stop though I can control myself the thing is that I can't remove gambling that easily in my life, that is how hard it is.
I hope your wife is still with you.

I feel the pain you must have gone through but I am really puzzled how despite knowing all the negatives about gambling why are you still gambling, I mean you know the pain and the suffering caused but you cannot just leave it? If such is the case I strongly recommend you to visit a psychologist as soon as possible please.

I cannot imagine how additive gambling has become now days that despite knowing the true facts we cannot detach ourselves from it, I too was a gambling addict but never too serious and never had to take too much stress for it.

I already did and I can't really say what they told me since it is a bit of a personal thing. The last time we did it was half a year ago and what I need to do is to face it myself since they've done their part and the problem is with me, not theirs though they are still giving me tips and suggestions to be done. I can stop when I am gambling but the thing is that I can't stop myself going on gambling places. She is still with me and I so blessed that she is.
1376  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 05, 2020, 12:52:20 AM
I think Coronavirus issues is too much emphasise compare to other deadly diseases that still has no cure. Well if this types of epidemic continuous to spread globally then it could probably threaten the economy and banking industry, but it is timely that crypto exist no contact, no problem and financial system can still continue despite the global threat.
It's sending the path to digital market, if this epidemic will continue to spread out probably it will take impact to banking industry, physically speaking people will be scared to be compromise and it will giveaways to other forms of digital currency where transactions can be done without any intercourse.

It can affect the bank but I don't think it will collapse it. Banks have ways to do things and they can also do online transactions even without using bitcoin or other crypto currencies. The impact of this epidemic is so huge to the country and it is not the only bank that is affected here but other establishments as well especially their economy.
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: March 04, 2020, 11:53:04 PM
I think that FIAT and cryptocurrencies will coexist in the future. Cryptocurrencies will be used by countries to use online transactions and cash will be used by people to exchange daily.
Using cryptocurrencies for online payment will ensure better security because Blockchain's security technology is better.

Well, it is the only way that bitcoin could survive since bitcoin might never be accepted by the government as a payment method. They wanted to control everything that is circulating in their country, and with bitcoin and other crypto currencies that will not happen. So I think they would create a digital currency of their fiats nad either they will accept bitcoin and other crypto currencies with it or not.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 04, 2020, 10:56:24 PM
So in your opinion, if a porn site accepts payments with bitcoin can make bitcoin more popular or will it be dangerous for the future of bitcoin
because it brings negative effects?

I agree with OP where a lot of people are needing anonymity with these porn subscriptions. I am a guy and I am also disappointed when I can't access some of their videos where it needed subscriptions. And for me, I think it will positively affect the price like in the past where it is said that a lot of bitcoins are being used in the dark web or for criminal acts. I am not saying iI am supporting those but a lot of people are using bitcoin and that is what I am wanting to say.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: March 01, 2020, 11:52:02 PM
Of course, halving should positively affect the fate of Bitcoin.
Personally, I think that the price will reach the mark of 50 thousand dollars by 2021.

Well, we don't know. All we know is that after the halving, it cuts down the supply then it might increase the demand that will also increase the price of it. In the past, as far as I know, it did well in the last halving and I hope it will be the same. $50K is a bit higher for me, maybe another ATH before we reach that kind of price, right?
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people compare betting and investing in bitcoin (in terms of risk)? on: March 01, 2020, 11:25:27 PM
Thanks for that explanation. To be honest, I am one of those people that thinks that gambling is the same as risky as investing and with your explanation, I was cleared that it is not so thank you for that. I never view that point in the past and no one is really bothering me to explain that. It is somewhat embarrassing but still, I learned something and that is great.
