1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 23, 2020, 01:11:49 PM
I would go with anonymity and privacy. As you said, the goal consumer of this game is just normal people that do not know what bitcoin or crypto currencies are and they prefer to keep their personal information to themselves. I think only a group of people will be interested in a story-driven game that you are planning if you ask me you should aim for something addicting, simple but addicting games. Though that would be hard to pair with anonymity and privacy, I don't know. Here's the thing, I played a game in the past where you buy something and while you leave the game the profit is going up and up. I don't remember that game but that is amazing since while you have a lot of money or profit, you could upgrade your house, your PC, your room, etc.

In that game, you could start the player as one wanting to mine bitcoin and maybe 100 to 200 sats are enough profit of it per hour. Then there is this upgrades in his PC where it would speed up his earnings or profit. He could upgrade his PC, his house, he can even buy a miner to more develop his earnings. He could switch to solar so he could reduce his payment in electrical bills. You could add a feature where a hacker can hack his computer, if you will be doing it online, you could match up to other players hacking their PC in that game with a simple mini-game. This is just an idea of mine, hope it gives you something helpful.

Some really nice feedback. Thanks. To be honest, I started last year to think about a bitcoin game that looked like what you are saying. However, I changed my mind over the year. I'll try to explain why.

The persistent online games you describe do make the game studios a LOT of money. When I set out to design such a game, I found it got very complicated for a game designer and even for players. I wanted something that my friends who are not into fantasy games to be happy to engage with what I am building.

The second game you describe, kind of exists, but I found it not informative at all. The description of them game calls it an "idle clicker".

There's another one that helps you build a mining operation. However, I think it focusses on one aspect of bitcoin.

In contrast, I really want to build a tool that solves the problem I have. The problem to let my friends understand at a high level, what is bitcoin and why bitcoin is such a useful thing to have.

Now I remembered, thank you for that. In idle clicker though you need to tap the screen so it will give you profit. I don't know the other game but sorry to give you a unoriginal idea. If that is the case though, then you need a high story based game. How about something like an interactive story game where the player will be the one who will choose what happens to the story and the ending will also be based on that. I think you really need to stick in a story based games, so I think an Interactive game can be good too. I know some ero-games as an example like Summertime Saga and Love Esquire, sorry for that examples, that is the only games I could think of right now.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or Casino gambling? on: February 23, 2020, 12:12:08 PM
1. Less communication - When you play online, you cannot communicate and socialize with anyone because there is no interactions happen.

I will disagree with this one. When I usually gamble, I always open two tabs; one for the game itself and one for tracking the chats of the people since I like to read what is happening and whose tipping who. A lot of kind gamblers are just always there tipping you so I always lurk in there waiting for a good Samaritan. I guess this depends on the gambler but for me, I don't gamble without the chat box open.

1. Time Wasting -It is not like online games that you are responsible when and where to play the game, so in a real casino, you need to go to the casino to play the game.

Another thing is that if you will be gambling, you went to a casino, you never go there just because you want to gamble but you want to spend your time in there. How is that a waste of time? You should be responsible so if you want to gamble in the casino, go for it. It is not a waste of time, you want to gamble; that means you want to spend your time either in a casino or a online gambling site.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 23, 2020, 02:53:22 AM
If gambling is done for fun then its a threat , if we do gambling correctly knowing risks then everything is good , short answer but its true

Why is that? The reason that it is even a threat is because of us gamblers. We are mainly focussing on getting a profit than have fun. We can't even blame gambling for that since we all know how it always go when we humans hold unto something.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: February 22, 2020, 11:51:56 PM
Do you spend the money you gain with the service you are working for?

This is hard for me since the payment is already being sent directly to that gambling site. Most of the time, my wife do the withdrawal so that I could avoid using them to gamble. It is hard to have that btc in your account and you are just a click away from gambling. I did gamble some of them but after some time, my wife found out that I am doing that so she changed the PW and do the withdrawal. It is hard to not gamble that, to be honest.
1425  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: February 22, 2020, 11:36:51 PM
It have good side and bad side. If the government creates its own currency then there will be more publicity about digital currency. More and more people will know about digital currency. But the government will create a centralized currency. Which will be controlled by the government like the paper money. The government can increase the supply if they want. One of the big problems here is this. Government will never create decentralized currency!

Obviously, they won't. Why would they create something that they won't have control of? Where they usually want to take mostly everything and take control of it. It may be an opportunity for a lot of people but the main idea of crypto currencies or bitcoin which is anonymity that is free from control will not be the same with their crypto currencies.

1427  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: February 22, 2020, 10:07:10 PM
Some country like for creating their own coin than use what have ready before in bitcoin and altcoin market, look many countries want to get much profit with cryptocurrency world by creating their own coin.

What do you mean? Obviously this is backed up by their country's fiat or other assets in their country. It is not something that they created, make a whitepaper and start an ICO in the market. No, this is different. They will not be earning any of it because of the coin, they are just adapting to these digital currencies and I think you should be happy about it since it can strat the world without physical currencies, though that will be a long year ahead of it.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A cryptostar in a galaxy far far away on: February 22, 2020, 09:44:44 PM
Ok, that is cheesy.  Grin

2. the star is far away from earth thus secure from earth violence

This one is the worst. Let's use what you've said. Even though this star is so so far away, people know about this and want to make a life of their own. The problem is that some of them take advantage of it. Saying that they can access the star through them but it was a ploy for them to take away the money of that person. Despite the distance of this star, they are taking advantage of it and I cann see that it is being violated already.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 22, 2020, 01:05:25 PM
It's still a lot of money honestly.

I've heard many success stories of gamblers that became rich but the next act would be the most interesting part of their lives. It's how they will handle the money that they've won.

And usually, many that came from gambling or quick profits can easily be spent in trivial things. But that person is one of the few that spent it which will change his life forever.

The problem with those poor people that won the lottery is that they can't manage their winnings well. Even before they won the lottery, they would always imagine themselves having this and this and this and when the time comes that they actually win and spend their money into anything, speaking of winning, we actually forget this guy, this janitor that won in Canada from our country. What happened to him now?

You went to a professional, he told you to go back every time there so he can check on you. Do you think you can stop gambling if you still want to gamble? It all starts with you, and I think you should realize to yourself that you need to stop. Approach your friends, your family, someone that is close to you so he can always check on you. In terms of addiction, the first help you should get is the people around you. So the process will always start with you, with your family, friends or loved ones, lastly to the professional. Most of the time it would not end up with a professional since if people really care for you, and you care for yourself, it would just stop right there.
1431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 21, 2020, 10:42:27 PM
I knew a guy/bi, that won a lot of money by betting on the lottery. I can't say his name but let's just call in under the nickname "Rowena". A lot of people knew about it and the proof of it, well, he had a lot of stores in our town. A parlor, a shop which is selling a lot of stuff like clothes, bags, shoes but not branded, he has these stores like 4 or 5 of them and that is because he won in the lottery.
Can you disclose how much he has won in the lottery? looks like Rowena was wise with the money that he has won. And I think the majority that have won and became rich with gambling was through luck and that's with the lottery.

To be honest I don't know the exact amount. In our country, we have this lottery called PCSO lotto where we predict a combination of numbers. There are also modes like ez2, swertres, 4 digits, 6 digits, and others. As far as I know, he won at the 6/42 or the digits, nowadays the prize money for that is 9 million pesos or $176,850.90. As you said, I think he did not really become rich because of gambling but because he handled that winnings very well.
1432  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus is a Fake Flag to destroy China! on: February 21, 2020, 09:57:29 PM
I don't think they are connected at all. Why would be the US competing with China in terms of making its own digital currency is they won't benefit from it? If there will be a connection here I see the trade war to be more probable than that since China would be closing down their dock and will not be able to export for some time while the US will be doing the tradings while China is out.
1433  Economy / Economics / Re: GOLD and BITCOIN: What is their similarities? on: February 21, 2020, 02:17:25 PM
Bitcoin is a good store of value particularly if you invest it in a long term wherein its price keeps on rising every year.

That is true. We should not believe on those person saying that bitcoin is not a safe haven investment since it is. If you keep on holding your crypto currency from 2013 until now, that is a huge huge profit. Another similarity is that it is being supported by a lot of investors, with the profit it has given to them.

they can say that because they  experience to loose  . they loose because they enter on wrong time and exit on wrong time but for some liike you that done it right , you dont have complaints yet

It is not that I've done most of my investments right since there are a lot of movements I missed. Despite those misses, I still earned a good amount of profit since I kept on holding it and I am patient. I don't have other investments other than some of my bitcoins and some altcoins that I am waiting to grow.

Exactly! Gaming industry becomes widely known specially in Sea Games wherein they included it as a sport, specifically e sport. In this matter we can see how influential gaming industry was that is why there is a big chance for mass adoption if we apply blockchain or crypto with this platform. Also, in this way we can enjoy the feature of blockchain or crypto for we are just playing a normal online game.

It is great that is added in the SEA Games but I am kind of annoyed when someone says in the social media that these "esports" are just added so that the Philippines can gain more medals in that series, oh well. I am trying to find games posted by the OP especially that one related to Minecraft but my laptop can't handle it so I need to play it on computer shops, how about you guys?
Even before sea games happe Esports are already popular worldwide and this even having events in every parts of the world with high percentage of participants, prizes and expectants so why would whis only favor Philippines?when each people worldwide already playing this games?not unless they will accept that Philippines are dominating them in this field? So this is their losses because they are not competent in thosw games.

Well, we are talking about SEA games not the esports as a whole. It will favor the Philippines because they are the host of the said game, which means they will have more players, more medals and they will have a higher chance of winning it, and they did. It is not that other countries will be able to fund all of the players in all of that areas since they will just focus on sports they can win while on the other hand, the Philippines has a lot of players to choose from. Get it?
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 the year of Bitcoin technology getting accepted by governments on: February 21, 2020, 01:02:53 AM
Well, we don't know. All we know is that there are a lot of people that want bitcoin to be that main thing but the thing here is that it is not that easy to do. I read some articles about people or companies wanting to develop and the blockchain technology and it seems not working since until now we are still not seeing any updates or progress about it. I think we should step first to blockchain-based softwares or applications before we go to that step. It is a hard step and a long one but still, as long as bitcoin is there, the possibility of its technology to be used is still there.

Just keep a cool head and it shouldn't become a problem for most people.

Well, it is not that easy. I've been there, I know a lot of people that's been there, it is a hard thing to do.  As you are gambling not thinking that you will be losing but will be having fun and then the wins/losses roll in, that is when you will be making a decision that you will not believe you did. It is a risk/threat gambling, a lot of people say like it is easy to do this and to do that but they do not know how hard it is.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 20, 2020, 09:56:52 PM
I agree to those people that are saying gambling is mainly for the purpose of having fun, that is true. It originated as a recreactional activity and not a money earning activity. Though I don't see it as a threat but a risk. A threat is  something that is a word I might use for terrorists or the mail bombing that is happening but in terms of gamblimg, it is a risk. The risk of being addicted to it, the risk of losing your money, the risk of being depressed, the risk of broken family. I can go on and on and there are a lot of risks you are taking when you are gambling.

These two generated a huge amount of profits for investors and it keeps on increasing. As Gold is said to be one of the best investments, bitcoin is also a good investment but with higher risk, since we all know how volatile bitcoin and other crypto currencies are. As gold is a natural one, bitcoin is something we mined from the internet using these miners or ASICs.
