- A DEX literally gets hacked somehow with all our privkeys too getting leaked to hackers and they move all the funds (that's what the least they can do)

What kind of DEX records the private key of their users?

Well TBH, I'm not trying to play oversmart here but I've used some old DEXs and a few of them got hacked and I came to know that the ETH private keys that we used to login to our accounts, got compromised. That was one such incident which proves that some DEXs do record our privkeys entered to use them.

Where in a centralized exchange it's guaranteed that you don't hold any control over your funds.

I understand that CEX also possess the same risks (or even better or maybe less), for me it's less stress to use a CEX because even if a reputed CEX gets hacked, they'll do anything to get us our funds back or they'll pay them back through their own efforts. But DEXs rarely help in these cases as there's lack of support and they need to bridge this gap in order to provide better customer service to us.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question: pre market bitcoin. on: June 09, 2020, 04:45:27 PM
Whaaaat? Did you just say 20 years back?
Are you Satoshi? Or Patoshi? Or Faketoshi? Whoever!
I mean, Bitcoin recently completed its decade and you made it 20 years old, wow. And please show me a proof where you've bought something on eBay using Bitcoins during its early days?

I'm glad you already got too many great replies here!
Anyways, you sound greedy enough that you don't even know how much BTC that hard disk possesses? And someone mailed you the private key? Then why the hell don't you open up that email? You'll get your privkey and so your BTC too. Cheesy

Steve, you guys at SB have outdone yourselves. Looks like the top guy so far already has 100 points+ so that's something to catch up with! Question though, what's the rule going to be for parlays? I mainly do accumulators, and they often go across some of the same matches, so would I need to avoid betting on the same match across parlays to maximise chances of winning parlays counting to this contest?

P.S. Moonmanmun: chill it brah, Sted wasn't dissing SB at all. It's all valuable feedback to improve the experience for us all;)

Thanks for clarifying this to him in a cool manner, bud! Grin
And I'd also like to let you know that you can't parlay such bets so to get higher odds, as you just need to make single bets with odds of 1.50x at least and win 10 in a row. Smiley
Anyways, I'm looking forward to some great Bundesliga games, I believe we can win Under/Over bets more rather than betting on teams because as there is no such cheering on the grounds, the good teams will probably feel down and some underdogs are already cashing in good odds by winning some unbelievable matches.

(I mostly experience this lag in my phone but still, why should I?)

Maybe you need a new phone or internet connection-  not many people complain about lagging on phones

Stop your stupidity right there, I use OnePlus 7T 256/8gb variant. Now tell me whether I still need a new phone, huh?  Angry

My maximum bet size that I play on your website, is just 0.1 mBTC

$1?  Are you really bashing Sportsbet over a $1 bet?

Just like everybody else, I'm a valuable customer for sportsbet and if I'm facing something that others don't, doesn't mean I should just STFU and stay calm but to let them know about the issues I'm facing. I'm sure the maintenance that happened yesterday justifies my statement here. Stop being my dad, dude! And no, I'm not bashing over sportsbet, it was a friendly comment - READ IT WITH FRESH MIND AND OPEN EYES. And btw, whatever bet size I have over there is none of your business.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should never become fully anonymous- don't fool yourself on: June 08, 2020, 11:52:03 PM
I think that the best time to anonymously spend was when all those now defunct exchanges like BTCe were running. You could really use Bitcoin and then get all the information wiped when the exchanges disappeared. Cheesy

First of all, not all exchanges will disappear FYI.
Another thing, such exchanges which disappeared still have your KYC on their servers and they can, at any point of time, either misuse or just sell your data (grouped into a zip file) through darkweb and even earn through it no matter how the opposite party uses our data. So don't just think that if it's wiped out on your end after the exchange being vanished, the exchange also wiped it out at their end.

While we are talking about DEXs, I have a question here:
What IF:

- A DEX literally gets hacked somehow with all our privkeys too getting leaked to hackers and they move all the funds (that's what the least they can do)

Another thing, a DEX doesn't really give us a much better experience compared to CEX be it in terms of trading or providing any sort of support to their users. The worst part of using it is that, we don't get that much liquidity over there and so, not enough volume is available to trade.
1467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: THINGS THAT CAN'T BE TAUGHT IN TRADING on: June 08, 2020, 11:23:32 PM
I've got a new one here - controlling your emotions.
Controlling your emotions while setting up a trade is one of the major aspects a very few people know and this thing can't literally be taught to any person as it needs to be conquered on our own. I believe that OP should compile a list of such opinions and put the best ones in the first post so to give a glimpse of the points that are needed to be taken into mind and learnt on our own before jiving into trading.
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Continue to Hold your bitcoin on: June 08, 2020, 11:13:24 PM
I believe BTC has given us an opportunity since the day it is being traded over leverage. I think holding will just breach that opportunity as even not selling means the chances are, a pump up can shake the entire market volume. If miners are not selling, a huge storm is about to take place, be it on the upper end or the lower direction. There are 2 probabilities:

- If miners don't sell, BTC price will be sideways and rise in a few days
- If miners sell, they'd sell just to survive as it's not so easy now to be able to survive after this pandemic. This will trigger a big sell-off.

Whatever it will be, I believe we should take the advantage of this opportunity because if the price rises, this opportunity will still be there but the gain % that we are getting nowadays will be much lesser.
1469  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: OTC Bitcoin Service WTB 1000+ BTC on: June 08, 2020, 10:58:52 PM
I believe you need to have a time machine instead in order to go to past (just go to 2010-11 period and grab your 10k BTC at just $500 or even less). /s

You are expecting a huge discount of around 18-20% considering the current value of BTC to be over 9650. Give a reasonable offer and maybe I can find you a seller and please don't PM if you are going to negotiate the way you did here (in this thread).
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling operations begin in Latvia on June 9, & in UK it’ll begin on July 4th. on: June 08, 2020, 10:50:01 PM
I believe it's the gamblers' decision in the end, a gambler's choice whether to go out and play while still knowing and properly understanding the situation going on outside. Being a responsible gambler, I'd suggest not to get out from your home till this pandemic settles completely because just for the sake of some fun and entertainment, you'll be risking your family members' lives. You can just play online at your home for some time and take advantage of earning some BTC while it's still cheap (by saying earning, I mean for those gamblers who win a lot). I know the casinos will be having all sorts of sanitization done to ensure cleanliness and that the virus won't be there (maybe), but who knows if someone (a gambler) is already infected!
1471  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: June 08, 2020, 10:22:04 PM
@sportsbet,
I'm willing to know why the website goes dumb whenever a match/game is at its peak? Too much lag and my bets doesn't even confirm sometimes due to this lag. I always bed to refresh to check my latest "total bets" number. Please do something about this lag (I mostly experience this lag in my phone but still, why should I?) My maximum bet size that I play on your website, is just 0.1 mBTC which shows I'm not even a high roller, then why am I experiencing all these problems? I even played deal or no deal on your web and had a lot of issues while trying to watch the live game.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should never become fully anonymous- don't fool yourself on: June 08, 2020, 05:22:52 PM
--snip--
Based on the whitepaper, Satoshi made it peer-to-peer transaction without the use of middlemen obviously the government agencies and third party services like banks so most likely he is trying to do what is beneficial for the people, but then with our society structure our taxes is just as important as everyone's lives because it is not the money of the government only but to our public servants. It will be blockchain in the end.

Sorry, what will be Blockchain?
And yes, I do understand that Governments need taxes in order to maintain the country well, but then, they are also just giving our hard earned money that we pay as taxes - to big venture capitalists and business tycoons who just scam and run away and what do we get? Hopes, and nothing else.
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should never become fully anonymous- don't fool yourself on: June 08, 2020, 04:38:01 PM
@OP,
I believe you are already overthinking the situation here. When you already know and see that Bitcoin is at pseudonymous state currently, then this debate doesn't make any sense. I truly believe that Satoshi made Bitcoins to keep our finances in our hands and stop the loot that Governments are running on us since ages through their shit currencies, by printing enormous amount of money and going under huge debt already. I believe BTC can be traced via Blockchain and there are almost 95% of the users who either don't mix their coins at any cost or just have their traces findable through many sources online.
1474  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign on: June 03, 2020, 01:39:32 PM
--snip--
I still using first sig. code and waiting for manager decision about a new signature.

I believe the old signature (the first one) has been highly attractive and the best one actually with almost all the needed things involved, and there's probably no need to change the signature to a new one (else, a better option would be to give us all the choice to decide whether to use signature A or B). The only thing I'm liking in current signature (the latest one modified by coolcryptovator and/or sujonali) are those social icons with colors instead of gradient greens. I believe that this should be added in the old signature that examplens is wearing ATM.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: June 02, 2020, 11:46:59 PM
@OP, You forgot to mention the most important thing. While it's being spread, it taught us a few good things like washing hands every single time we eat, go outside or come in, use lavatory or going to cook food. It also taught us to wear masks which not only saves us from Corona virus but also saves us from the UV rays as well as the ultimate dirt that can stick on our face whenever we are outside. I know it didn't bring in anything good, but taught us a lot of good things so to remain safe.

In short, it taught us how to be aware of your surroundings and how to protect yourself from others.
We will see that the new normal is social distancing and use of face mask.
We won't be seeing much of hugging and hand shakes for a long time.

I've been an anti-social animal since my birth and I hated to be in parties, meetups or any kind of gatherings unless it's with good old friends. This fake world had been showing its true colors since I lost my dad which is why I never wanted to be a part of any society. I believe what Corona did is somehow good (I'm not saying this about the infection, but the social distancing part it taught us). I hope we'll get through this situation very soon and everything will be alright. Smiley
1476  Economy / Reputation / Re: multi account questions on: June 02, 2020, 11:33:12 PM
I believe (my personal belief is that) if you are interested in signature campaigns, you should join them with your main account only or maybe even your alt account can join another signature campaign but not the same, maybe  Huh
I'm confused on that part, but yeah, if you want to do signature campaigns with your main account and use an alt account for bounties and all, so to keep your main account's post history clean is totally acceptable in my views unless you cheat any bounties by using both the accounts in the same one (or even more accounts if you have done account farming).
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good news from Ohio - Sports betting will be legal now. on: June 02, 2020, 11:11:37 PM
What about those countries where gambling is illegal? Will such countries categorise as well as consider sports betting as a different and somewhat responsible way of gambling and legalize it at their own place? It ain't no easy task considering that even US took this longer to come up with such decision.

Not all would really be that equal in terms of government decisions if you do try to compare US to smaller countries. It doesnt really have the difference yet they can make their own laws and prohibitions as they like.

No one can tell if when they would give out that consideration and totally open up gambling industry to operate into their vicinity. It all matters with their decisions and they might changed up their minds now specially
into this current condition and they do know the possible benefits that it can give out if they would decide to open doors.

Why do you believe that other countries' governments (small countries I'm talking about) would allow gambling during this pandemic situation when they know that people are out of money and are even taking moratorium on loans to extend their repayment dates, when they know that they are helping people by sending some specified amounts in their local currencies to their citizens' bank accounts from the government treasuries? Do you think they'd allow people to probably gamble and lose all that money that they got from the government itself for their own welfare during this situation?
1478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is bitcoin not anonymous? on: June 02, 2020, 11:06:42 PM
Bitcoin is not anonymous so not to allow hackers hack your coins and get away with them through exchanges by dumping those coins on innocent people's money.
And how exactly are hackers not hacking peoples' coins and then dumping them?

By simply buying it low and sell it with full pressure (I'm talking about whales who are considered hackers in my thinking because they hack the markets by moving it towards the way they want to, and earn a lot of money doing all that shit). Another way the real hackers go through, is by looting exchanges and going for OTC deals where some big whales get trapped by these thieves.
1479  Economy / Reputation / Re: multi account questions on: June 02, 2020, 10:53:11 PM
Not just limited to self vouching and abusing signature campaigns, but these accounts can just play merits-merits and send their sMerits to each other just to reach their desired rank if they've got enough activity. No matter how they engage in the community, they will just try to merit each other's posts.

@OP, you asked whether we are good at hiding? I believe that even if some veteran members may be having an alt, they have already exposed it here and they themselves warn on that profile not to trade with it as it is an alt just for some other small work (which doesn't include participating in sig camps at all).
