No. People like you ruined it  in the first place and now you want to "make it a better place". Yeah right.

Question : How exactly does a 51% attack work?
This might be a hard question to answer but take your time, as long as your answer is correct and you are the only one who has answered, you'd be declared winner. Get your things going.
I'll update the other posts in 24 hours.
1463  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex or Bittrex on: February 24, 2018, 02:49:25 PM
I am currently a trader in poloniex. Very unhappy at the moment because of the trading volume being steadily decreasing. The liquidity for “smaller” altcoins is quite low indeed. I should transfer all my funding somewhere else like binance or bitfinex soon. Any advise?
Bittrex -> NO. I love using bittrex but they all of a sudden they reduced my withdrawal limit by 86.6666666667%,(they reduced my daily withdrawal limit from 3BTC to 0.4BTC Angry),they also locked thousands of accounts. So beware!
Binance -> YES. I don't use it much/use it all,but from what I have heard and seen, they have a lot of supported altcoins(except DOGE Cry) and they don't have any accusations yet!
Poloniex also has so many deposit issues off late and their support system....is shit. Even sloths are faster..

There was an unwanted tag(td,/td tag) in the code. I think this should work now:

1465  Other / Meta / Re: Authority moderator on: February 24, 2018, 01:10:56 PM
Since Theymos and Cyrus didn't prioritize recovery account then maybe its better to give Global Moderator that authority so waiting recovering will be faster than now.
Can moderator ask Theymos this idea? Thanks
You can't expect theymos/Cyrus to work 24/7 just to help everyone recover their accounts. They try doing their best whenever they get the time to do so. They prioritize whatever is best on the community's interests.
This means that many accounts will be able to access to the "Security data".
The best thing will happen is a new manager added for this purpose.
Managers have a different context here in this forum. It usually means campaign managers. Maybe another Admin might help but that's not very important for now.
I think hilariousandco (a "Global Moderator") already has that authority (based on few of his/her recent posts):
-Snip-
No, he doesn't. He can only unlock accounts he can't recover them. Apparently unlocking and recovering accounts are not the same.
1466  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase Segwit Update on: February 23, 2018, 10:16:45 PM
I'm not familiar with their platform, is the send/receive options the only thing they have? because If they have separated features for their exchange like withdrawing etc. then this may not help much.
You can withdraw from Coinbase. But from what I have heard,if you use GDAX,you don't have any withdrawal fee.
Some interesting stuff about GDAX: https://hackernoon.com/beginners-guide-to-gdax-an-exchange-of-coinbase-to-trade-btc-eth-and-ltc-e418fd1acd1b

They are officially supporting SegWit now (released a blog post one hour ago). It's currently functional for 25% of their customers, 100% by next week.

1467  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance have only 4 base currency? on: February 23, 2018, 08:50:14 PM
But what is the difference between going"
LTC to ETH and convert the ETH to ZEC VS
LTC to BNB and convert the BNB to ZEC?

In both cases I do 2 conversions and pay twice the standard fee, or am I wrong?
Case 1: 1 LTC=0.24226 ETH=0.498 ZEC
Case 2: Not possible because you can't buy ZEC using BNB
But yeah if you make 2 trades you do have to pay the fees twice. You can check the fees here: https://www.binance.com/fees.html
In regards to Shapeshift, it is my understanding that the fees are higher and the price you can get on Binance is better.
Your choice. I like shapeshift more than binance.

1469  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance have only 4 base currency? on: February 23, 2018, 03:41:35 PM
Yes.
Wait for it...image is loading
From the above Pic you can see that only four base currencies are there. But that shouldn't affect your trades. You can always convert your holdings into the base currency of binance and make your trades
If you want an exchange which accepts any currency supported in that exchange to be your base currency, you can then use Shapeshift.io .
1470  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How long is shipping time from Ledgerwallet.com? on: February 23, 2018, 03:25:16 PM
I bought one during the month of December, and it took like less than a week to arrive. Though it(the ledger wallet) is good, the buttons are annoying sometimes but totally worth for the amounts you're going to save..
No one has bought recently as it is out of stock. Anyway I haven't used UPS but I have used DHL express a couple of times and yes in terms of on time delivery they are top-notch based from my experience. But it depends per country I think?
The number of days does differ depending upon which place the buyer is buying from.
@OP,it shouldn't take much time for your ledger to arrive.
I just checked out Amazon and here's what I found out : https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01J66NF46/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519399424&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=Ledger+nano+s&dpPl=1&dpID=41aVYqN2oeL&ref=plSrch
1471  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Please I am needing assistance in retrieving "Private Keys" for "Watch Only" on: February 23, 2018, 01:48:03 PM
I just read about this form of scam just this morning and I even commented about how so many people would have fallen for it not knowing I would read the same thing here in the PM. Op will be the first victim I am seeing. Its obvious greediness has gone the wrong way which is one key reason why this question is asked with a new account now he is looking for a private key to claim what does not exist. My advise, just count your losses and move on. Take it as part of the lessons you have to learn in crypto world and again, nothing is free even if it seems so.
Apparently not. Y'all must see this:
It's a scam. Let me show you how they intend to dupe you:

1. They convince you to hand over your Blockchain wallet's login credentials. With that information, they access your account and click on the settings tab:

2. Within the settings tab, they click on addresses:

followed by + import bitcoin address:

3. A pop up box appears, prompting for a public address or a private key:

In this example, let's use the dormant address 14WWrJMGPo43mAoLXoH53pREAEUAFFW66T

After pasting this address in the box and clicking on the light blue import button, you are prompted to confirm the import process:

Notice the extremely believable balance:

If you verify the balance, it does exist:

https://blockchain.info/address/14WWrJMGPo43mAoLXoH53pREAEUAFFW66T

A scammer who, for example, offers Skype video proof can use this as evidence of having bitcoins. If you are not aware of the watchlist feature, you might be convinced and if you are one of the gullible ones, might even proceed with paying first, thinking along the lines of Hey this guy has millions so he can't be a scammer?! Let me quickly send him that 1 BTC!

Do not fall for this scam. Ask for signed proof of bitcoin ownership.

OP, don't be scammed. Think! Why would they put money on your account and risk losing it, given it's YOUR account and not theirs? Go ahead and follow the above steps. Stopping scams is most effective when you understand how these thieves do it.

1472  Other / Meta / Re: They just keep coming again & again? Why doesn't Mods ban them? on: February 22, 2018, 08:47:47 PM
Mods do ban them(depending upon each circumstance) and yet these people appear yet again with alts. I'd say either keep reporting them or ignore them. Choice is yours. Even mods can't do anything sometimes. People do abuse the forum's policies as in anonymity and multiple accounts creation. VPN and tor help them too.
1473  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty Topics - please stop it. on: February 22, 2018, 06:26:48 PM
Boy it doesn't end there. Couple of weeks ago I ran into a user/s who had like 10-20 pages of posts, and all of them were only related to bounty campaigns. Users like these are the ones who have a legion of alt accounts and abuse bounty campaigns like hell.
I'd like to know what mods think of such users? Should we report them? Should we just let them shitpost because there exists merit system to take care of it? So ultimately they won't be able to rank up unless they post quality posts or they use their alts to send and receive merits.
1474  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: February 22, 2018, 04:56:04 AM
A'right here's another question :
Question : What is the Difference Between a Blockchain and a Database?
This is yet another easy question but again people don't know about this. I am looking for some main points, basic explanation is not what I am looking for!
1475  Other / Meta / Re: question and thanks on: February 21, 2018, 06:58:56 PM
If you say you don't know about the rules then it is your fault.
Wrong. Buying and selling is not forbidden as per the rules. The community despises such activity and think account sales should be frowned upon in this forum.
I do not know if it's a mistake, but if the moderator gives me a second chance, then I will not repeat it again. I will give more priority to helping many members here and also I will give full good contribution for forum and crypto world.
Moderators cannot do anything about this trust rating because it is not moderated.

I only just noticed myself - as killyou has been all high and mighty recently, I thought I would check it out - and the total dumbo has sent Merit to his own publicly known alt.. I mean how retarded can one person be?
You should also see this then if you haven't yet:

It's up to the community now to decide.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=408367

OP  - giving merit to himself from his alt.. this is blatant merit abuse - this user should be banned and burnt at the stake.

or kicked in the gonads by a donkey.
I dont see why people are reacting now? The OP sent his alt merits at the very beginning, I think of it to be suspicious but I didn't say anything because I also had noticed that both killyou72 and killyou73 are there in the same campaign (?) too by seeing here :spreadsheet. Admission of killyou72 and killyou73 to be Alts :
Wait for it... image is loading

Thinking of this to be an exception , I probably let go of it. Also I don't see why lutpin hasn't mentioned any rule of alts enrolling in that campaign is not allowed.

1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron launching platform. Do you think trx will rise up now? on: February 20, 2018, 03:38:52 PM
Tron may launch a platform and do many more things to manipulate its real background. The price of TRX rises only because of whales like the dumbfuck McAfee. What has actually happened is that Tron is a big time ponzi scheme. Look at the proof yourself. https://blog.bestrate.org/is-tron-a-scam-4daf031b91a1
Tron has claimed a lot of bullshit caused by the horrible aftermath of the proof being released online.

did you get this resolved? I have the exact same issue.
Did you contact the support?
You can contact their support here: https://c-cex.com/?id=support
You can also try sending a PM to the C-Cex account on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=220467
Soon enough your issue should be solved as the C-cex account is a bit more active than most of the exchange's accounts.
I have same problem and got same reply last week, they asked me if I want to remove my account  Huh but then they told me to go to this link https://c-cex.com/?id=remove2fa but I still can't remove 2FA from my account and support always full  Undecided
If you be patient much, your issue will be solved. Don't ya worry. Smiley
