1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: April 28, 2022, 11:39:26 PM
Before I started cryptocurrency trading I have always hard this friend who is a pro cryptocurrency trader and have always shown me his profits but never told me how long he has been into cryptocurrency trading,
(.......)
It's very normal. Especially influencers who are just collecting some referrals to some people.
You should be aware if you want to start trading, you should identify your goal, you should not say you are only trading because someone told you or for easy money, you should expect some negative too, trading can make you bankrupt too.
Maybe its his own way of influencing you, by focusing more on success, the reason why you end up being influenced. But if you decide to enter into a new endeavor, make sure to anticipate all its positive and negative aspects. There could never be success without failure at first, and there could never be wins without losses. Now, you already know what trading is all about, that its never an easy job, but if you always look the positivity on it, i think success will come to you in the end.
1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get rid of useless tokens on: April 28, 2022, 11:17:50 PM
Is there any way to stop unwanted tokens deposits in my wallet? I have used two different types of crypto wallets and I keep getting tokens I know nothing about, I read that those tokens are scammers trap and moreover I never worked for it.
That mostly happens once you lack privacy and you have posted your address publicly, so definitely its one way of scammers to get into the real contents of your wallet. So just ignore everything about them, useless tokens will forever be a burden for all of us. However, its good if you can create a new wallet, just make sure to keep your address not to share it publicly.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give Your Feedback About Bitcoin Today ? on: April 28, 2022, 10:26:27 PM
Bitcoin is indeed in great demand from year to year, whether it's new or old investors/companies they continue to adopt bitcoin if the price weakens. Regarding the current price not as low as 5 years ago or before, we can still enjoy sell above 40K and buy when below that price. But if you want to know why the value of bitcoin is weakening, you can look at Speculation just read first there are many very interesting posts and discussions.
I don't see bitcoin's price so low today as its currently priced at $39,762. In fact, its a lot higher compared from its previous months. But either way, i cannot also say that bitcoin is at its peak today, i guess its still in the process of reaching its new ATH hopefully this year. But maybe you think that bitcoin is so low these days because the current value is lower than the price when you bought it. Just keep hodling it, bitcoin value will sure to increase in the next couple of months.
1524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 28, 2022, 09:44:57 PM
If you are coming with the assumption that crypto is going to "multiply your money" then you have a very wrong mindset.
The only truth is that crypto won't make you rich.Crypto trading isn't for you,if you are in a bad financial situation. There's aren't any well paying jobs in the crypto industry for unqualified people.
Just forget about joining the crypto world and focus on finding a real job.I know that 9/5 jobs suck, but you don't have many options.
And forget about Coinbase and any other websites that are giving away free coins. This simply isn't serious.
Well, if you don't have the real skills in crypto, and all the qualifications that a good trader needs, then look for a real job that will certainly give you a fixed income so you will be able to provide your family's needs. Yes, crypto gives an opportunity to everyone, but not everyone get the same opportunities, so there's always an exemption. And if you just want to enter crypto because you think this will make you rich in few years, you are very wrong. You will be more rekt in crypto if you don't have the means to succeed from it.
1525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 28, 2022, 08:22:04 PM
I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. Or maybe a slow gradual push up. Maybe in 20 years it will be worth half a mil.

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|

Will btc ever hit a million? Or hundred million?

I kick myself so hard every night going to sleep that I didn't get in earlier. Liek I'll literally have dreams of being in 2013 when I first heard about it and buying some... T_T
Well, its true that the market has changed nowadays. Bitcoin has not made significant moves in the market so its value remains to be in the process of still reaching its peak. But i know bitcoin will not stop here. Its value will always appreciate, the reason why majority in the market is giving priority to bitcoin. So its never too late to enter into crypto and invest in bitcoin. But do no expect that bitcoin will make someone rich instantly, otherwise you will always end up selling bitcoin at a lower price.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 28, 2022, 07:50:34 AM
It makes me smile how the poll here has equal votes for both George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney as possible winners in their match while the odds on betting sites are favoring Haney over Kambosos Jr. with a significant margin. No doubt that Devin Haney is indeed a good boxer. He's the more athletic between the two. He's got the reach and could effectively keep the distance with his far-reaching jabs. But Haney doesn't have the power to end the fight early. And since this will probably end up in a decision, I think Kambosos Jr. can very well make points and win.

I broke the tie now, LOL.

Well, both boxers are good, so it's not a surprise to see a close voting competition in the poll provided by OP. I love this fight actually because the playing safe vs the aggressive fighter is going to meet, and let's see if Haney will be able to effectively use his strategy against Kambasos, if he could not KO Kambasos, let's also see how the judges will score the fight.

I thought you broke the tie in my fighter's favor. Lol. But you voted for Haney. Let the better boxer win.

Since this is going to be a match that will probably end in a decision, I think Kambosos Jr. has the advantage. First this is going to be fought on his land so he has the home court advantage. The crowd will be on his side, cheering for him. That would at least give him a boost. Another is that Haney is the challenger here, flying to his opponent's country, so whenever a round is so close it could be given to either fighter, it might benefit Kambosos Jr more.

If you believe that he has the advantage, then you are in a great position to put your bet now as on the updated odds, Kamabasos is the underdog. Both boxers are good, but of course, bettors would choose which is better and majority believe that Haney will win.

updated 3 days ago.
https://www.givemesport.com/87999809-george-kambosos-jr-vs-devin-haney-odds-favourite

The odds would never, Haney will remain as the favorite but it doesn't matter if you are backing on Kambasos to win because you believe that he can win in front of the home crowd, and that will only give you an odds that you will enjoy because Haney is a heavy favorite.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 28, 2022, 07:13:13 AM
Celtics - Bucks series should be a close one and I'm looking forward to it.

Agree, I hope we will see a game 7. Middleton might still be out in the series but it doesn't matter, Bucks have been playing great basketball even without him and there are some who contribute a lot on the win, so yeah, the Bucks should have a great chance of winning.

The good thing with the Bucks now is everyone is contributing, unlike before that they rely on Giannis so much.

Let's see, and hopefully, Bucks would be able to still play like their usual even without Middleton. Besides, he is not a big factor in the games that he was still playing, and Bucks have improved when he was out, so hopefully, this would say that the Bucks could win this.

The advantage of the Bucks is when the Celtics cannot stop Giannis.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: April 27, 2022, 11:48:36 PM
I see that the topic of bounty has recently started to gain new popularity, it feels like I'm back in 2017 on the forum. Indeed, as you correctly noted, the bounty has long since ceased to bring tangible income, so that it can be called a reward. It hasn't been making money for a long time now, it's just pampering. Earning in the crypto industry has long gone beyond the bounty and is concentrated elsewhere (I'm not referring to websites, but specifically token earning methods). Bounty for tokens, it's already like faucets for bitcoin. It's nothing if you spend a lot of time, and it's not a fact that you can cash out anything.
The golden days for bounty has gone already. What was used to be profitable has become the source of scams nowadays and so people do not see it still reliable these days. Although there are some quite number of bounties that are giving decent income, but most of them have totally gone into thin air. There may be trying to launch new projects but we can see it with our own two eyes that it will never be the same valuable and reliable way back then, and that projects nowadays have no more long term impact on the community that its trying to convince.
1529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I think its time to start my crypto trading lessons on: April 27, 2022, 11:25:48 PM
Learning everything certainly requires time and only some people can live it while others will not be able to survive in learning.
Therefore, if you really want to learn the Crypto trade, you need to mean it and take your time to get the lesson.
Don't forget to practice what you have learned because it is one way to improve your ability to trade.
And always be patient in studying the crypto trade and rest assured that you can do it.
Everything in crypto trading takes time and efforts to learn, as it may even take years for you to finally able to understand trading and all its pros and cons, its advantages and disadvantages. This is why a lot of newbies prefer to do investing and long term hodling than chose to trade as its definitely a very tough job. However, if you succeed in trading and is consistent in doing good market analysis, then you'll always get the best rewards you deserve. Just be patient and persistent in trading, as everything do not come easily in trading.
1530  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 27, 2022, 10:40:10 PM
We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.
The only way to increase financial stability in this time is by either increasing your income from the source that you are making or increase the number of income sources that you have, apart from that there is no 3rd way, i feel it's unfortunate to see how inflation has panned out in recent times and is clutching savings almost entirely. I feel no matter how much you crib about it eventually there is nothing you can do about it, you'll have to surrender youself against inflation and remain financially stable by increasing sources of income.
If everyone receives the same opportunities, that will be possible. But the sad reality right now is that rich people are given lot of opportunities to invest and increase their sources of income, while the poor people tends to become poorer as inflation hits them the most. But i believe if we want to be stable financially, then we should think like rich people and do extra efforts, even if it means going out from our comfort zone.
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: April 27, 2022, 09:41:33 PM
Understandable. They probably do not have the technology yet to fully implement this.
Central African Republic is the 2nd poorest African country, having only $988 GDP per capita, and only Burundi being below them so yeah, its safe to assume that they don't have the technology yet to properly implement this. I mean, its of course a good news to hear countries being more and more open to bitcoin but it would be nice if those countries have the basic things sorted out before they move on bitcoin otherwise its nothing but a cheap gimmick imho.

I guess the government should be responsible about that and should provide mass education first about bitcoin to avoid scenarios like what we heard about El Salvador's citizens on refusing to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender. There is still a long way process to go before everything will be set and before people will be totally convinced. But i know, the country itself has anticipated all of these before they come up to adopt and legalize bitcoin.
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon and and how this "dude" could effect bitcoin in the future? on: April 26, 2022, 11:20:38 PM
He can shill all the time Dogecoin.

But still, no matter how hard he shills it. The market will still speak for itself. We're in an assuming bear market and it might continue to dip for some more.

Even how hard he shills his favorite coin, the market will still be the one to be followed by everyone no matter how good things he says about it.
Let him manipulate and shill on his favorite coins, but we won't let him manipulate our own thinking. In the future years, Elon will always influenced the people in the crypto market, but he can never manipulate bitcoin because bitcoin price will always follow its supply and demand. Although he can bring big effect in the crypto market in the future once he succeeded on Twitter, but we all know how deceptive he is, and that he will only do things for his own selfish desires.
1533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason people join bitcointalk forum on: April 26, 2022, 10:57:05 PM
There is one good way to check the real interests of the people who join the forum. Cancel all subscription companies and bounty companies. How many people will stay on the forum? And how popular will it remain? But those people who joined the forum in the first years of its existence are the real bitcoiners. Their history and lessons should be valued and constantly studied. It is they who today create educational materials that must be read by beginners in order to correctly determine all the advantages of bitcoin.
New forum members are not really here for knowledge, but their main motivation is to earn an income that they immediately participate in the bounty campaigns even if they have no sufficient knowledge about bitcoin and the crypto market. This is the reason why the forum now is full of spam and do not seem very informative, like it used to be in its early years. Good thing there are still early bitcoiners left in the forum as they still contribute valuable ideas that newbies need to learn and reflect.
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: April 26, 2022, 09:55:34 PM
It is fairly obvious, but there are people out there that have written 200 pages self-help books and made a fortune out of them by simply stating this simple fact of life: "you can invest your savings. If you ainīt got any, you ainīt gonna invest". (I admit you could argue that you can borrow but still nobody ainīt lending ya if you ainīt gonna givvet baksh).

The basic concepts that will save you a 15 bucks book:

- you invest so that your money works for you. Even if you cannot drop your job, you can still live a bit better with extra income.
- Investing is sacrificing something today to get something tomorrow. This is just a definition. You save x today because you want 2x tomorrow or in year or whenever.
- The first step to invest is saving part of your income. No savings, no future.
- If you have credits unpaid (other than mortgages or other asset backed credits), you pay those first because they charge you a lot.

And from here we could start speaking on how are you going to save regularly, if it is going to be 10% of your income, or 5% or 50%, how are you going to learn about investing, etc...

Even if you don't have the intention to invest, i think saving is still very necessary because that will back up you when you ran out of funds in the future. But it will be more advantageous if you have something to do with your savings, specifically iinvesting it, as it tends to double your money once it starts to profits. However, investing will not work if you started out from taking loans. Remember, there is no certainty in the outcome of your investment, whether you make profit or not, you will still be paying your monthly amortization plus interest so that it won't cause you troubles in the future.
1535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: avoid scam telegram groups , find useful tools and channels on: April 25, 2022, 11:57:56 PM
Talking to avoid scam telegram groups, but you offered anyone to join your groups since you claimed it's legit group.

Yes, we should avoid all groups including you.
I guess that's the first thing to do, avoid all groups that could only lead us into future losses, and even the one that you are listing OP, if it shows red flag from the start, then it should also be avoided. However, newbies could always be an exception from this since they ought to do what they think are right, and that relying to telegram groups hoping that it could offer them some valuable help. When in fact, it could be the reason that they'll lose everything they have.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Widespread adoption may result to lesser anonymity, one of my biggest fears. on: April 25, 2022, 09:56:55 PM
The biggest issue limiting most government consider and majorly the reason why bitcoins adoption has been slow is in my opinion the anonymity involved and the inability for government to directly be a party to your transaction.
If there were no such issues, gaining widespread adoption will not even be a topic for discussion as it would have happened already or almost done being adopted I think.

Can the governments of the world let bitcoin become fully in use in their respective countries without pushing for lesser anonymity and a way for them to monitor the system?
No government will approve that they can't get to control or at least regulate it. Everything will have an eye from the government, so most likely its anonymity will be lessen eventually. As from being decentralized going into being centralized, that will always be the case just like those decentralized exchanges that are forced to ask for KYC, otherwise they will not permitted to operate. Same thing with bitcoin, if it aims for its widespread adoption, then the government should always take part on it.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 22, 2022, 09:15:01 PM
^ I think it's all about the money, and Canelo might think that he will beat GGG because he is old already. I'm not saying that he waited for GGG to get old, but with no potential fighters except LHW, but it won't give him the money that he could get from fighting an old GGG in a trilogy? Why not? And after this fight and he declare as a winner then he can tell everyone that he is the best fighter in the world right now and stop the discussion about their infamous fights.

Well, if it's not about the money then what is it about? I would not believe if Canelo would say that he wants to end that discussion once and for all because if he really thinks that way then he should've fought GGG long time ago. Anyways I agree that defeating GGG again on their trilogy will make him the best fighter in the world in todays modern age and no one can doubt that.
I guess that will also clear everything the issue, as he will get to prove that he's tougher and quicker than GGG when it comes to boxing. But as to when the trilogy will happen, for now its still uncertain. Hopefully, after this fight with Bivol, if he wins this game, probably the trilogy will be given clear date as it will be another day to remember.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Basketball] Golden State Warriors 2022 NBA CHAMPION campaign discussion on: April 22, 2022, 08:25:40 PM
Good odds. I might place a hundred dollars on the Warriors just and forget about it in the next few months. They seem to have been strengthened and reinvigorated with most of their star players on the floor and with the addition of Jordan Poole. They don't have any problem in the scoring department, but it's typical Warriors, they lack something on the side of defense. If they can work something out and carry it until the end of this season, they have a huge chance of winning and taking the championship in a convincing fashion.
Well, its even reasonable to bet a hundred bucks for Warriors as we are now starting to see the real champion in this season. Though they still lack on their defense, but everything can be worked out as it will improve their performance in their upcoming fights. As long as they keep those brilliant moves from those star players, its certain that they will always have an edge to the rest of the NBA teams.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 22, 2022, 07:36:47 PM
I still think the New Jersey Nets are the most like I to win the championship though the Celtics knocking them off in game one does give me a little bit of pause. If the Nets aren’t going to win it I think I’m placing my money on the Golden State Warriors. I just feel like when it comes down to it they’ve got too much fire power. The best thing though is that this is all debatable being that there is no clear cut best team like so frequently there was in years past.
I've seen how these both teams played well in their last game but most likely, my bet will go on Warriors as they become exceptionally good in their defense and created a very good atmosphere in their previous game. Somehow, the Warriors has become one of the most dangerous in the NBA today. But of course, there are still more way to go before they can be considered the champion, not to mention changes may happen so quickly when the last day of the playoffs comes.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 22, 2022, 06:28:44 PM
Quite surprised to see consecutive high roller of above 20BTC on a single wager. Have any of you come across such big wagers in real-time. Came across this while spending time watching the high rollers on the bets tab. Have anyone came across such big bets, and I don't whether this player have managed to make a win or not. Shocked

That was really an impressive bet to see and I think it won't hurt that much to them. Surely, while doing that kind of bet, they already win in some cases. These are high rollers in the first place and expect they have a big bankroll, to begin with.

We just have to watch them as no high rollers lurking at this forum or maybe just a silent.

Want to see real feedbacks from real high rollers and I hope they will bother to response here to share some of their views. Smiley
I think high rollers prefer to stay in silent than to admit that they are one of them as high wagers also mean big winners, winning in mostly huge amount. For sure, everyone is surprised on how high they are betting, but i think they have already made significant gains in the past that is why they have the high nerves to bet such huge amounts. But even so, losing such huge bets are still painful and this is something that they have to accept.
