1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *El Salvador To Start Purchasing Bitcoin Everyday* on: November 17, 2022, 09:45:36 PM

Once you get into crypto, you will be addicted to crypto. And this is probably what happens to Nayib.
He bought when the price was at $50K+, it shouldn't be surprising for Nayib to be more bullish. It's a good time for DCAing even if the price is dumped to $13k, there were users who said we're up to go bull run after 5-6 months.

But he will have the last laugh when the bull run comes very early.
Nayib is just like any ordinary addict that keeps on chasing on his addiction, but good thing his addiction in bitcoin will never benefit only himself but eventually all the people in his country. So I believe everything Nayib does in this bearish season, it’s a well planned from the start. And yes, when everything is perfect with bitcoin, El Salvador will be the first country to rejoice because of the billions of profits probably they will surely gain.

Someone that once Richer than the richest man in Africa and become a poor man within a week. Are you sure crypto is the best place to invest?
It is very unfortunate what has happened to SBF and it will definitely be a difficult period for him, but SBF is very familiar with the crypto, he knows the potential it has to make one rich and also make one poor very quickly. I believe SBF will find himself, maybe not back to billionaire status quickly but he will not stay at this barest minimum for long.
I was also saddened about this sudden news but I believe SBF has also prepared for this and he must have been into other investments as well aside from crypto. So he’ll still get back to his own feet in time. And knowing he has been doing a lot of charity donations with crypto, so definitely a lot of people are very eager to help him in times like this.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 16, 2022, 09:45:14 PM
I know this is likely not to happen in real life. But let's say it did. What would you do?

1. This is not losing 350k, it's.. not winning 350k.
2. This cannot happen because afaik nobody is allowed to touch your chips, even if that one is with you/your friend. An I wrong?

Let's not confuse movies with reality.
Precisely. You have the full control on your chips, and nobody is allowed to touch it other than you. So if you bet correctly, you’ll definitely win. And not that others are responsible if ever you lose. And if this scenario will happen in reality, that friend of yours will definitely be banned and not allowed to play again.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 16, 2022, 09:25:36 PM
Menh it is no easy to be a gambler. Well that the life
"NO RISK NO GAIN"

recently I placed a bet on different soccer games and I  staked it with about $70 on accumulated odd of 10.36 which came out a total of $725.

After placing my bet I later check back on the games in my account to monitor the success of my predictions and I opened the betslip and I  was given a  cash out of about $389 and the matches remaining was just one game  so I decided not to take the it...i decided to be a  brave gambler and wait for the last game to be concluded and then collect the full money

But the last  game didn't turn out the way I wanted it and I lost that $389

I have faced similar situation before and most times I often collect the cash that comes as a  cash out then the result of the Last match turns out correct and instead of having the whole money I miss out and get a  little chunk of it..

So what would you would advise as a gambler? is it better to collect the cash out or wait for the full cash
Well, it’s not all the time that you may get lucky and came out with your last bet correct, most of the time  our last bet might be somewhat regretting because it will only make us lose everything we have. So always secure your profits first and foremost, and you can only do that if you stop betting and cashout your funds so you can go home at peace and enjoy your profits.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 16, 2022, 09:09:33 PM
Theymos' advice wasn't anything concerning bullishness/bearishness or about market prices at all. It's just the fact that there's a good chance that some exchanges/platforms are insolvent, or the fact that some will be insolvent/hacked in the future; hence why we should be using non-custodial wallets, to eradicate that risk.
This is not a threat for us that crypto is heading to destruction, instead this is just a constant reminder that we should not rely on existing online accounts since there are chances that they may prone to hack in the future. So no need to worry, everything in crypto is still in its proper place. We just need to keep safe all our money by not putting it in non-custodial wallets.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: November 15, 2022, 09:49:55 PM
Knowing the rules is an obligation, it's the same as; eating, drinking, and breathing.
Indeed. We don't want to be put in a situation because of our negligence to know their rules right? Thus it's a must for us to do our part before playing to avoid having inconvenience because if you already face a problem on their platform (and you're at fault), it's not an excuse that you don't know the rules.

Anyway, nowadays there are many casinos existing already, that means plenty of choices for gamblers to look for a casino that they prefer. As we know, some gamblers are still not fine to comply if there's a kyc requirement and this is a common issue.
Issues like KYC is never that big because in the long run, all centralized casinos will obviously require KYC to be compulsory, so there’s no escaping from it really. But when it comes to withdrawals, I think that will be a big issue especially if the company itself is neglecting your concern, and it takes long hours of waiting before your problem gets attended.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 15, 2022, 09:30:06 PM
There isn't much to be done honestly, as the gamblers themselves should know whether or not they're already crossing a point of no return. All other people can do is to warn them of the possible negative effects of too much gambling. Ads advocating against gambling won't stop any gambler honestly, similar to how negative ads are already placed on most cigarettes yet people aren't deterred in using them. It's a mental and psychological disorder that the gambler themselves, or anyone close to them, should know before any action can be done—at least in my opinion.
Definitely, the only way to reduce gambling addiction and its related issues is through the gambler itself. No other people can stop him or prevent him from gambling addiction if he is also determined to continue what he’s been doing. Maybe the family members can offer some help but it’s only up to there, because at the end of the day if the gambler refuse to accept the help, then he will continue ruining his life with gambling addiction.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are those people that you don't want them to know you are a gambler on: November 14, 2022, 09:43:16 PM
luckily in my case i don't need to hide from anyone that i do sports betting and whenever people ask me about gambling i make it a point to clarify to them that i do sports betting just for fun and not with the intention of winning a lot of money, now We have to understand that the reason that I am free to talk to everyone about gambling is due to the fact that in my country, on any street, on all TV channels, newspapers talk about gambling, most people that I see on the streets are betting on the lottery so there is no wrong thinking about gambling so it is easier for me to talk about the sports bets I make on the internet. but if a person lives in a place where people who like gambling are criticized then the ideal is for that person to avoid talking about gambling unless they win a big prize and it is necessary to talk to the family
There’s no need actually to hide your gambling activities if your country is gambling friendly. In fact, people are even invited to gamble in legit casinos. But for some countries that have not accepted gambling completely, and that the people are still sensitive when it comes to gambling, of course I would have to hide my gambler’s identity so that the people will not think of me badly. Like my parents who always tell me to stay away from gambling because it will only ruin my future, so I never have the chance to tell them that gambling is not like that and I am a casual gambler that sometimes made good profits and sometimes lose them too.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Quitting only a break on: November 14, 2022, 09:23:15 PM
Gambling is a habit so difficult to stop

Through out my days as a  GAMBLER  I have seen and had  so many people who for some reason have decided in their mind that they want to stop Gambling but in the latter of things said I eventually  see them again  involving themselves in gambling acts.

So many people actually tell themselves lies and intend to keep going on with those lies and continue saying this popular quote "this time no more I have quit"

Except for  people that take the act of gambling for fun who are really not affected by gambling so many people have uttered these particular quote noted above

It has come to my notice that these people don't actually know what to do. instead of saying that they have quit they should know that they are actually  going on a gambling break..
Quitting is always a choice, and while some gamblers stick to their choices and leave gambling behind, others could not stand it so they only take a break and gamble again when they think they can do it again. So if gamblers want to quit, of course they can, but maybe most of the gamblers still want to take every chances to make more profits by chasing their luck and hoping to win this time despite of their huge losses. That is why some have quit gambling successfully, while others end up gambling more and become drown with their huge losses.

Another exhibition fight for Manny Pacquiao is brewing.  As the former UFC featherweight world champion Frankie Edgar is ready to call it quits from mixed martial arts after he takes on Chris Gutierrez at UFC 281 on November 13 at the Madison Square Garden. He left his door open for an exhibition match and would take the opportunity to face Manny Pacquiao in an exhibition match.[1]

Quote
“This is my last UFC fight, MMA fight for sure. I’m most likely, one hundred percent, it’s my last fight,” Edgard told MMA Junkie.

“But if there’s some boxing, maybe [Manny] Pacquiao wants to do an exhibition, I know he’s doing exhibitions now. I can be open to something crazy like that, but it would really, really have to be a good one,” Edgar told.

[1] Former UFC champ Frankie Edgar open to fighting Pacquiao as MMA retirement looms

This might have a chance and his declaration will surely reach Pacquiao's camp in no time, so let's see it soon if Manny will give some of his thoughts about facing Frankie in an exhibition fight. For now, the legend himself is quite busy preparing for his return in the ring against DK Yoo in an exhibition bout and that means that Frankie will have to wait if ever there's a chance because after DK Yoo, Pacquiao has another exhibition fight with his former sparring partner in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this coming February of 2023.

And that is the legendary Manny Pacquiao, even on exhibitions matches, he is being called by many ex-UFC and wanted to give a taste on how it's like to face Manny in the ring. But we will have to wait, he has to face the Korean face and see how it goes.

Not just the taste or having the chance to share the same stage with the legendary Manny Pacquiao but they are also viewing Pacquiao as a good ground to make a good money and possibly the biggest payout in their whole career. Can't blame them to try and call Pacquiao to have a bout with them because of those benefits they could have if they're given the chance.

Bucks +1.5 vs Spurs
This is risky my friend. Injury reports says Giannis and Jrue will be out for the game, that is why the odds are questionable.
Good luck though, we cannot tell what could happen as games these days are truly unpredictable.

I have Phoenix Suns -6.5 versus the Orlando Magic.
And New York Knicks -8.5 versus the Detroit Pistons. After a bad defeat against the Nets, this young team will be hungry for a win. I hope so.

Good luck to everyone.

I thought they can still duplicate what they did last time and will still get a win even without Giannis, Holiday and Middleton Grin this time they didn't made it and clearly, they struggled against the Spurs. But my Grizzlies bet went through and defeated the Timberwolves.

It was a tough match for your Phoenix bet too, they lost the game with the Orlando Magic even though Paolo Banchero wasn't there. Booker was having a bad night which gave a way for the Magic.
1552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 12, 2022, 04:25:10 PM

Can't imagine how it will going to be like if Manny converts a solid combo with Yoo chin, might be a KO sleep for him..

That would happen if there's no script, but if there's a script that will be followed, Pacman is not gonna hurt Yoo in this fight for this to be exciting to watch. We know already who's gonna win, but for the sake of entertainment, they should make it a fight that is fun to watch, and that means no one will be seriously hurt.

Yes, certainly that won't happen at all because this is just a mere exhibition fight highlighting Manny Pacquiao's return on the limelight. If Pacquiao wants a pure challenge in the name of exhibition match and entertaining the audience, he would have seriously picked a more interesting fighter or boxer and not DK Yoo. This Korean coach or whatever he is, he should still be careful on choosing his words because Pacquiao might give him some free taste.

Lebron will be missing the game against the Kings. Their opponent isn't doing well either but I don't expect them to win without their best player so it's a likely 2-10 standing later hehe. Handicap anyone - Lakers +5.5 or Kings -5.5?

Well, you got it right! The Lakers are now 2-10, but did you bet on the Kings though? Anyway, seems that they are now back on the drawing board again and it's kinda expected that they will be defeated without James's lead and AD cannot possibly carry the team alone as there's no other player in the team that will step up their performance in cases like this.

Their next game is against the Brooklyn Nets, this is quite interesting to see. I hope both stars of the team are complete, though Irving still cannot play.

1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 11, 2022, 04:39:08 PM
^ Yes, that's the thing when fighters are under contract, in this case Spence under PBC. He can't do anything if the management says that he needs to fight boxer A. So even if he doesn't want to, for sure he will be force to fight Thurman next as they have been mandated.

As of now, Spence is still blaming Crawford for their fight not happening.

And with that, both fighters now have move on, they will have their own schedule fight. Not sure though if the doors is still open for another set of negotiations if they win their respective fights as Crawford make it public as what is the reasons.

I think you mean Crawford's blaming Spence including Al because they are the main factors on why the unification fight suddenly become hard and impossible for Crawford. Well, it's understandable that Spence cannot do anything because Crawford was in that same situation too when he was still with Bob Arum. I just pity Crawford because he waited long enough to the point that he was already inactive for a year, and this is what he received.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 11, 2022, 03:53:15 PM
I don't think Bivol can decline the fight if Canelo activates it because he signed the contract containing that a rematch will happen if the losing side chooses to, but the situation now is different and if you saw the post-fight press conference, it was said that Canelo can't throw a punch currently because of the injury he sustained for about 2 months. So, we might see a unification first before Canelo-Bivol fight.

Well, Bivol vs Canelo should be a good fight, no need for Bivol to fight another champion in his division yet if he can make a lot of money fighting Canelo. His style in the ring is very entertaining, just like Canelo he starts slow but ends the fight well.

The fight between Zurdo, his opponent only won 2 rounds, I think that was only rounds 2 and 3, the rest was dominated by Bivol.

A good fight for sure but not an interesting one anymore for the most avid boxing fans out there, including me. If you'd ask me why then my answer is quite simple, I have respect for Canelo and for what he achieved but I don't see that he can make a difference in their rematch, that is why it's not that interesting anymore.

But for Bivol, he is different because he is not into money fights and the only things, he cared the most is to carve his name in the industry and make his own legacy. That's for sure! A rematch is not on Bivol's list for now and it looks like it won't happen anytime soon because of Canelo's injury.

I think so too! I mean, Canelo Alvarez himself seriously knew that he can't just keep up with Bivol in his own division and their difference is plain enough to know that Canelo is indeed at the disadvantageous side. That is why if Canelo will call for a rematch, it wouldn't be a redemption fight as I know that Canelo already know his chances, but it will be a big money fight. While for Bivol, he has to wait for a bit because there's a long queue ahead of him before he can have that unification fight.

. Also, I'm with the Blazers against Pelicans, that's ML because they are rolling.

Great win, Blazers upset the Pelicans in their home. Pelicans were the heavy favorite but Blazers keep on surprising us, even without Lillard again, they still win games, so congrats to you mate. By the way, you lose your bet on Dallas but that ML on Blazers is big enough to give you a profitable night.

Thanks man! I just got lucky with that Blazers ML, and I thought it won't go through because I haven't expected that Lillard won't be playing in that game. But that Dallas bet though, they only won a single quarter but then everything was already fallen into pieces because of Kuzma was on the loose and achieved 36 points alone.

Moving on, here are my top picks for the game tomorrow.

Bucks +1.5 vs Spurs
Timberwolves vs Grizzlies -5
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 11, 2022, 12:02:33 PM

It appears like the Atlanta Hawks is on rhythm once again. After a 3-win streak, then defeated by Jazz, but now they got a win again versus the 76ers.
Their big challenge to start a win streak again will be Bucks and Celtics.

As of the moment, they are a strong playoffs team and surely will gonna be a problem in the NBA playoffs if they remained to play such a high-level performance. As of now they are in the top 4 and strongly keeping that rank by defeating competitive teams in the league. That's right! if they can show that they can defeat these next teams with their current strategy, they will gonna make them play hard in the NBA playoffs this season. Both are Eastern Conference teams which is more likely we will see a preview of what would gonna happen when they face each other in the playoffs.

Hawks are good but Sixers owned them in the playoffs, well, hopefully we will see some big improvement but Sixers play well in the playoffs especially if Embiid is healthy. Lots of teams that would be a surprise this season, good example is the Jazz in the West, and maybe the Bulls will make a huge surprise, who knows.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copying Bet From Other Unknown Bettors, Is This a Good Practice? on: November 10, 2022, 08:35:10 PM
It's still better if you know the game first. Not a good practice if you are doing it blindly.
It will still pop out in your bet slip and will have time to review it, that means you know what you pick and who are the possible winners of the game.
It's not different with picking it on your own. It just gets the job faster rather than choosing yourself.
Now, there are instances where gamblers do follow people and their bets, in this example if I am right, it is Drake who is mostly sharing his bets to the public and in social media.
Yes. There’s always an advantage if you know the game personally because that means you know where to bet with bigger chances of winning, and not just following random bets out from unknown bettors. Although there are instances that you get lucky too out from copying from those unknown bettors, but it’s rare to happen because most of the time, copying bets will only make you lose more especially if you only copy from those beginners in gambling.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 10, 2022, 01:25:06 PM
They're doing a good job and their standing is 10-3. They're up against the Wizards on Sunday while against the 76ers on Monday. So, starting today, they'll be having a good rest for the weekend until Sunday and be prepared for two straight games. Kessler did a good job for his entire playing time. These big men of Utah Jazz really are doing well whenever they're being used. This how it should be for the other teams that has big men.

I'm really giving them my support because even though they almost left with nothing, it didn't change the way they care for each other this how strong their chemistry is. And with their newly added teammates who also can play well, they are hard to beat and continue to hold the number one spot in the western conference. Since they are capable of doing such things without Gobert and Mitchell, I hope their NBA playoffs this season have also more positive results than the last 2 years.

There's nothing the Jazz have to prove now as they already have proven that they are a legit team and a playoff contender. Surely they will reach the playoffs as long as they stay healthy, Clarkson and Markkanen will have to remain consistent with their contribution so this team will have more wins than their losses.

Do you think  Clarkson and Markkanen and be an all star? or just one of them?
