1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The world’s first blockchain toothbrush lets u mine coins by brushing your teeth on: February 13, 2022, 01:49:41 PM
atleast the tooth brushing idea thought outside of the box to reduce risk of fake 'mining' by having ways to check a task is actually done by a sole individual

seems better than an idea last year about a fitbit 'jogging' miner.. which ended up with people just selotaping their fitbit to their ceiling fan to fake movement for free 'points'.
Didn't heard about this fitbit cheat but good thing that they've discontinued that product because that's unfair although in a technical sense, they do spend some energy which is the electricity for operating the ceiling fans. They might've been able to prevent this by doing a tracking to see if there's any movement to indicate a jogging. Regarding the toothbrush, it's actually a pretty nice idea especially to those that have problems with brushing their teeth, with a financial motivation, they will be able to move.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 13, 2022, 12:50:39 PM
It is true that Internet access or coverage in Africa is poor compare to other Western countries. But it is not only the Internet that is the problem of Africa people to adopt bitcoin. Another problem is information and mindset. When the government has spoilt the mindset of the people and the people does not get good information.
I am saying this is because the number of people using Facebook in Africa is high. You cannot use Facebook without Internet. That mean some people use their own internet to do other things.
Not all countries in Africa don't have a poor Internet access, it's just that Western ideas and perspective are drilled in our heads that it's what we think. Corruption and civil unrest might contribute to that problem but other than that I think that if we see more African countries improve and grow, we will eventually see more crypto growth in the country because it already has a people that uses crypto there.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Cryptocurrency Was Honest | Honest Ads on: February 13, 2022, 12:09:56 PM
There's definitely a lot of truth in it, pretty sure that they did their research before doing that skit, I really like that Hanest Ads series, makes you aware of how you are being exploited in this capitalist world that sees you as a profit and not as a person. Regarding this video, I think the slaughtering in the environment isn't true anymore but I can see why they still say it, not every miner uses solar power as electricity source.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if crypto mining is outlawed ? on: February 13, 2022, 11:33:48 AM
If there's a possibility that mining gets banned, then that can only mean that bitcoin would go up in prices and with mining being banned, a lot of the equipment for it is going to get expensive because people will still mine no matter what and they will find a way, if you make something illegal and there's a big demand for it then expect that the prices get affected.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 13, 2022, 10:59:35 AM
You also need to do the math though, 2x or 3x is still a big amount, it's compounding so the multiplier gets small. We can't go much higher because this is going to shock the market, if you don't like bitcoin then probably you should sell your bitcoin and exchange it for Ethereum. Just don't regret it when bitcoin starts pumping again.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Users Accused of White Supremacy on: February 12, 2022, 12:33:36 PM
The only thing new with this is that bitcoin has some white supremacist in it, now I'm not to deny that fact but that kind of thinking that puts bitcoin in a bad spot isn't really the best thing for me because I believe that we can't just put something in pedestal and mock it and call it names without seeing all sides and weighing whether which one has more gravitas. I wouldn't really pay attention to this kind of biased media, they only want to make things look bad.
1547  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The impact of NFL lobbying the SEC on blockchain technology on: February 12, 2022, 11:08:53 AM
What kind of outcome do you expect after this lobbying?
Do you think the SEC will change the way it treats crypto?
If the lobbying (fancy word for bribery) is successful then we will probably see cryptocurrencies and crypto related stuff being advertised in the Super Bowl which is going to be a big win for crypto because Super Bowl always garners billions of viewers. I don't think they will outrighr change the way they treat crypto but back to the lobbying, if it becomes successful then SEC might impose unsung exceptions to crypto.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: February 12, 2022, 10:27:30 AM
well, maybe at the time he asked, it was the right time. because of that, many people say that when you are ready to buy or invest, it is the right time, because you don't know what the potential will be in the future. well, even right now, if the person is ready, it could be a great time. it could be that the bitcoin price is back at $50k a few weeks or months later, and the altcoin price has gone up too. So whenever you're ready will be a good time.
It definitely was the right thing to do at the time and I am proud tro say that I am one of those who bought at that time, to be honest I have doubts at that time and thought that the prices might go even lower but alas it didn't and I was able to made a profit. I still have to get back in though but I think it's a waiting game for me right now.
1549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 12, 2022, 09:53:41 AM
That depends on how long you're going to stick around, if you're in it for the short-term then it's not probably the best time because the prices still has a possibility of going down and you don't want to be losing money because you got in at the wrong time, if you're the other one which is a long-term investor then you're probably going to be getting in right now because short-term fluctuations in the market shouldn't faze you because you have a goal and you want to stick to it.
1550  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2022, 09:20:04 AM
I don't think this is the best time to buy bitcoin for the long term. Though there was a recent bounce from support to 32к, I would rather wait for a correction. I agree with those who say that the price is still going to fall. But in the long term we might see 100k.
Your only problem.is that you don't know when will the correction happen and also it's worth mentioning that if you're going for long-term then it's not really your problem of how much is the prices currently because if bitcoin were to grow then you're still going to get profit and you will look back at the time when it was at this price. Don't be too indecisive when it comes to getting into the market, we don't know if this is the last time that we're going to see that price.
1551  Economy / Services / Re: Offering on: February 11, 2022, 01:54:35 PM
Really? I thought that the members of Mensa are intelligent people who know how to use the forum, and not spam with new threads every time he wants to ask a question ... I don't see any intelligence there, do you see it?
Being intelligent doesn't mean that you know everything though, so that's not a valid reason to invalidate that they're from MENSA, pretty sure that a proof of membership would rather help with that but I would say that OP is innocent until proven guilty. Maybe it's OP first time to use a forum, pretty sure there are people out there that has that case.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: February 11, 2022, 01:10:51 PM
Bitcoin is really controlled by its users. Bitcoin users and traders control Bitcoin and Bitcoin company only maintain server and develop its stability.
That's the gist of it, some people think that it's the whales but no, they create the fear and greed moments that moves the people so that can only mean that they don't have the power alone to move the market because they're influencing a large amount of people just so they can move the market at favorable circumstances.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a truly censorship resistance, Tallycoin raised fund for Canadian trucks on: February 11, 2022, 12:05:04 PM
That still doesn’t give anyone the right to force someone to inject something in our bodies
What's exactly the connection of that in this thread though. I mean it's about bitcoin being anti censorship so what part is the vaccine. This is probably the only time that people bave rejected vaccine because they think they're woke when they're actually just being a burden to a society that's ravaged by the pandemic. We would still have this pandemic in a decade because of people like you.
1554  Economy / Economics / Re: Caentral banks rate rise could be biggest bluff on: February 11, 2022, 11:07:30 AM
since its inception until now the central bank really doesn't like crypto because there are many factors that can affect the circulation of paper money as it is now, even a lot of news in the media that campaigns for bad things against crypto and I believe it is part of a conspiracy by the central bankers who feel scared.
I am sure that when the fear of the bank becomes a burden, they will also enter crypto to be able to revive FIAT in a systematic way.
Nope, they are hating on crypto because they can't control it. People can convert their crypto and then use a bank to deposit the money without the bank having any benefit from the client. They know that they're system is obsolete so they continue to berate bitcoin as inferior even though they've had similar origins.
1555  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Bitfinex hack on the economy on: February 11, 2022, 10:22:59 AM
I think that the impact wouldn't be felt, that much isn't bitcoin around 800 billion USD in total market cap already? Then that means that even when those stolen bitcoin gets reintroduced then it's not going to be adding that much effect and those bitcoin seized won't be reintroduced straight away, they're going to be auctioned and those who wins the bid will have the final say.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: February 10, 2022, 10:00:36 AM
Do both is better, I mean combination between normal spins and buy feature. What I used to do first is buy 1-2 free spins and look at the result, if the result is bad then I'll try 100-200 spins. If I get no fs in that 200 spins, I'll back to buy 2-3 free spins. If the result is still bad, it means I have to change to game.  Wink Obviously, it is preferences but I'm not recommending anyone to do too many buy bonus in a row.
That's not a good test though, I mean you could be lucky in free spins but not when you buy more spins and vice versa but that one is hard to prove since they might not move to that point because they start at an unlucky streak. You might find some slots that bait you into playing more by letting win consecutive times at a lower prize money and then when you move to higher prizes then that's when they start taking profit. Just be careful playing slots as that is the game that favors the house more.
1557  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: February 10, 2022, 09:25:10 AM
194.9 mbtc in #10 spot in daily wager competition and still 2.5 hours to go! $8000 in 21 hours and that's just the 10th place guy, what a show!

Man, this place is really heating up every time. Gone are the days when I felt I could challenge, but I guess this is just a signal to me to build up my balance very slowly and then when there's enough to maybe reach 200 mbtc with 10x wager, that's when I can go test the waters again.

Awesome stuff, players!
Make sure that it's a surplus money because you're going to be spending lots of money and you don't want to end up broke when you're gambling, know what I'm saying? I really can't fathom how people spend that much amount but hey, probably because I am not a rich man and I can't afford to spend money on leisurely activities.
1558  Economy / Gambling / Re: Paddleboat Mississippi, new poker site with low fees and good privacy on: February 10, 2022, 08:21:51 AM
My place here seems to be for your site and if you want to get acquainted with the players as a part, then the first thing you need to do is to make your design a little better because the mind of your lips is a bit normal  I mean, you have to improve the design a little bit, and you have to take a good look at the ones that are gambling and present them to everyone.
It's not that bad for me but yeah, if there's a room to improve in the website then I think that you should take time to consider improving or changing the overall vibes of the website. If you don't want to go to all the trouble, then you can probably hire people to do the designing and coding for you. Paddleboat reminds me of those boat casinos so it's pretty cool.
1559  Economy / Gambling / Re: MysticBets.io - Community Owned Sportsbook on: February 10, 2022, 07:11:27 AM
Do we have to register first to be able to see the sportbook market? because when trying to check there are no events available specially in the live bet.
BTW, welcome to the forum, you should add image too so your introduction more attractive.
It's the same for me, probably that's the case for this website, we need to register first before viewing anything else. This is a first for me, a new betting website, not a lot of them are popping up in this forum compared to casino websites. Anyways, welcome to the forum and hope that you're going to get the utmost experience here and you at the same time give them back to the people.

No answer still from Lightlord or from the complainant now this is dragging on too far, Just a heads up Lightlord did log in today if he is taking care of business he should do this right away, he could have posted, we'll work on it or the issue will be solved, we should get it straight from the horse mouth, if it's coming from him, then it ends after he gave assurance, is he really ok I hope he is.
Give the person some time and I agree that this issue has been dragging on for far too long without the reply from the complainant and I think that we need to be more considerate because to be honest, we're making a big deal out of Lightlord's absence, as if he's not a human that doesn't get sick or tired doing the same ever increasingly mundane task, sometimes we forget that those are real people behind those Internet facade. I am sure Lightlord will be solving this issue when the time comes.
