how often does the check list of the burned coins update... I want to verify a test one before I move more.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Staking, CRISP Interest, DNotes Pay on: October 18, 2018, 12:01:02 PM
Just a quick question.

If you withdraw dnotes from the vault to your local wallet how long does it usually take? more than 1 hour?
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 reasons why future ICOs will use Byteball instead of Ethereum (+screenshots) on: October 18, 2018, 11:26:56 AM
Very interesting points.
this project is very undervalued in my opinion just a few things they can fix should result in a huge rise in the near future
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚽ XFCCOIN ▐Fantasy Football Manager Revolution!▐Release of mobile app ⚽ on: October 17, 2018, 08:36:27 PM
We can happily share the news that XFC, the official FootballCoin currency, will be listed on a new exchange, Exrates ->https://exrates.me/dashboard

It's part of our ongoing mission to continue developing the project and to create a bridge between the worlds of sports and cryptocurrency.

We would like to thank the FootballCoin community for their continued support and their honest feedback.

Exrates offers the opportunity to trade numerous cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin or Ethereum. The exchange aims to charge the minimum amount of commission fees and make trading easy for both beginners and experienced users.

Also, don't forget to join our free FootballCoin contests that will be starting this weekend, for a chance to win XFC prizes.

Reminder: XFC is currently available for trade on the following exchange services: Digital Tokens, BiteBTC, Exrates

That is great news. This will get this on CMC at last.

Well done guys.
1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | POW/POS | 0.10.6.3 - New Self Moderated Thread on: October 16, 2018, 11:13:02 PM
after upgrading to the latest wallet i see there is no unlock option?

wallet is locked and the only option is to change passphrase?

why do i need to change it to unlock it?

You can find a way to unlock the password below

To Stake:
1. install the latest update. 0.10.6.3     https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3
2. select help - debug window
3. select console tab
4. enter into console text field:     setgenerate true
5. enter into console text field:     walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000
                                                            ^                          ^                      ^
(command)        (your passphrase)     (number of seconds for unlock)

6. press ctrl L to clear your console.
7. close debug window and watch your coins get minted if they are 30 days old or greater.

Happy staking!!!!

Item 5. is the unlocking procedure to stake and mint your coins. This is only required if your wallet is encrypted.

hi,
Yes i did it like that in the end.

cheers.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: October 16, 2018, 10:51:32 PM
Hi all. We have a very busy week ahead so I just wanted to let you know what we have planned...

Early next week we are aiming to release the Android app and web wallet upgrades so we'll be testing these two thoroughly this week. Both wallets will be using our new custom block processor meaning faster transactions and more reliable balance reporting.

We are also planning to release the live wallet feature and a new light theme for the web marketplace demo. If you are a demo tester then we’ll let you know more about this in Slack.
And finally we will be updating the desktop client and Qt wallets this week with some new features in preparation for the next phase of dynamic peg testing.

Any questions, feel free to ask here and thanks as always for your continued support Smiley

Shorn, Project Manager

Great news! Also great that Bay is now on Blockfolio, keep the signals coming! Just bought up a few million more, most promising project out there that will actually work as designed.

A few million more??

Is that for real?

Also agree lots of great news coming out.

One thing I have noticed is I am getting a blackcoin alert message flashing in the bitbay wallet? is this meant to happen?

Have i got some older bugged qt running? or will all pos3 based coins have this flashing?
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China can destroy bitcoin on: October 16, 2018, 10:38:07 PM

algo change could take care of that

shame it wasn't kept to gpu mining asics are annoying
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LET US- LIST - some old established projects where the dev team is highly active on: October 16, 2018, 02:46:10 PM
I have been following SYScoin from the very beginning I started following crypto. It is a complete mystery as to how its value is lower than half of its last year's value. This project is bursting with ambition and potential, there's constant and impressive development, transparency and good communication. It consistently appears in the top hit lists and blockchain leaderboards, yet it fails to raise. That is, of course, if you assume that value reflects content.

That is exactly what we should assume but with the wave of noobs being scammed into buying trash it sadly does not work like that.

The resons for de-listing PHS from Cryptopia are low volume and lack of activity in developing and marketing.
There are no security problems.

If somebody have more established relationship with Cryptopia team than me, maybe you can asure them that PHS is not dead.

But we strongly need somebody who will take responsobility for PR and marketing of PHS: negotiations with exchagers, writing articles,
advertising, organizing donations for listing fees and marketing expence etc. Somebody who is native English speaker.

I can handle technical questions and continue to develop the wallet and web applications for PHS, but I can't handle marketing and PR.

It is apparently quite easy for a coin like this to get listed on komodo and blocknet also it is free.

however there person doing it needs some tech chops which i don't have

I heard wdc is next for the chop for cryptopia

I hope not because that is going to be hard to get back on if it happens
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: October 16, 2018, 01:10:07 PM
someone just asked me how to receive blocknet to their wallet

I said to them just click the receive button and give me your address.

They told me their wallet has no longer got a receive button???

I haven't received any coins for ages so I didn't notice this.................... but now that i look at the latest wallet .............where is the receive button HuhHuh

seems a strange design

Rob (Hex) Dawson and Adam Clark are the owners, good Kiwi blokes I reckon!!

aye, but they've made their millions, and handed over the reins, AFAIK
Exactly...
Cryptopia is under "effective management" now, it's not that nice friendly exchange it used to be anymore.
They are delisting a lot of great but low volume coins now, not only PHS.

I heard they got hacked for about 20btc on megacoin so that i probably why they want rid of shit low volume low interest POW
However i suspect phs would be quite secure the dev seems to think so too.

are we saying cryptopia is under new management now? and its going to go full polo anytime soon?

1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 15, 2018, 11:39:47 AM
where did anyone get the idea that world coin grid or any other folding was going to help byteball in any way other than to crush the value lower??

i am a big investor in curecoin since the start - that has not worked out well at all.

But where do you get the idea that this is what is crushing the value lower? Have you noticed that Byteball price drops when rest of the cryptocurrencies drop, especially when closest technological competitors (IOTA and Nano) drop? Latest $50 to $40 drop was exactly at the same time as Bitcoin dropped from $6600 to $6300, since Byteball is low marketcap coin, it is more volatile, so gains and drops will be bigger.

I am following this thought process...

folders tend to not care about other projects - they care about folding and being able to sell what ever coins they get to pay for their electricity to fold ... this is highly evident with cure coin actually.

other coins - you buy them so hold for profit.

folders tend to dump quickly and have no loyalty to the project.

most folders dont care at all about crypto in general.

this compared to rewarding holders of bb monthly with more bb is no comparison.

In summary folding for bb is a terrible idea if you are interested in increasing community size or starting to get more holders and investors.

I think it is shame to delist such and old fairly distributed project that is still secure.

Anyone know their board user name here?
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 13, 2018, 01:01:48 PM
Byteball is clearly undervalued compared to many other projects out there.

However this was always going to happen due to the initial distribution of giving HUGE amounts of the minting free to other ico managers.

This was compounded by the messing with the distribution plans over and over.

I agree stopping byteballs based on bitcoin linked but people who bought byteball on the understanding of getting a kind of bb pos payout on full moons should have got them.

All of this folding and steam and other social media is doing nothing. Nobody gets enough to have any real stake in the project and just dumps their dust alsoI  believe most of it is just gamed away since we can seem to muster no votes to get on any exchanges even though we have apparently given some to 1000's of people.

I mean may be better just to give 10% to binance or kucoin directly or some other large exchange.

Best plan = tony keeps 5% and burns the rest

or

tony gets some team together of developers that can push this design to full potential and give them some stake in the project.  I think a total of 15% is more than enough to secure long term development for that.

burn the rest or airdrop it all to currenty holders who more than deserve it for clinging on this long

this project does not deserve to be knocked out of the top 50 and to see it kicked from the top 200 is insane.

I am still accumulating for long term but tonych needs to get involved with the community a lot more.

I would advice taking a more David zimbeck approach. This dev is very active in coding but also answers and listens to his community on many things and takes times to explain his actions so that the community has a lot of faith even when price tanks with all the other alts.

Byteball needs a team not just 1 or 2 people in almost complete isolation.

1600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 13, 2018, 12:53:47 PM
It's just impossible to download a full node, same problem as Ethereum.

On chain scaling has been proved to be impossible. ^

This shows why we need small blocks and a second layer for scaling.

unlike ethereum byteball has no blocks

Sure, but it still has a chain of transactions which has become so massive that a full node can't be downloaded on a desktop computer.

it depends on your connection speed, I think most full nodes use remote servers

Actually, it mainly depends on your drive. Even with a fiber optic internet connection, if you don't have an SSD, then syncing just gets insanely slow at some point. If you want a full node, you must use an SSD.
so basically byterbak get rid of blocks and get relativity fast, cheap transactions and finality in exchange for decentralization and ddos resistance? Is this worth it?

Requiring an SSD isn't really sacrificing decentralization; having one dude run all twelve validating nodes is though. And having one dude hand pick a replacement for four of them isn't solving the issue.

This is certainly a major issue.

which? if you mean witness selection please see my previous comment, first time round team is working on it, but network will decide in the future who witnesses will be

well that is promising news anyway.
