1621  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 23, 2022, 06:50:34 PM
Russians are unique. They have survived most of the wars. They will survive this war as well.
Putin has been judo learner since childhood - he only believes in military solution but one thing is for sure they are very aggressive and they do what they deem right.
It is a bit about "how" and not "if". I mean sure they did survived a lot of wars, they survived WWII as well, by losing millions and millions of people, a bit of a Pyrrhic victory wouldn't you say?

They had a "cold war" situation where they spent so much money that people were basically starving to death, just so that money would go towards fighting against USA without ever firing a single bullet to each other, meanwhile all through 60's and a bit of 70's, people in USA lived probably the best economical period. Right now as well, maybe the economy in grand scheme looks good, but look at how much people make monthly, you will see who loses in this war.

Many a gambling site is doing their business without posting their announcement thread on the forum and also not doing any marketing on the forum. And they are not facing any issue at the same way if the admin of this gambling site are offline from the forum then that will not affect their business too much if they still manage everything perfectly.
Exactly, people are misunderstanding an ANN (Announcement) thread,  as a customer service center. This casino has those features on the sites that you can utilized instead of clouding their Ann thread. These days it's even hard to get an information on this thread as that's their main purpose of created. Information here are supposed to be less of what is currently going and more of discussion on events, contests from the casinos to info the forum members.

That the admin is online or offline on the forum shoudn't affect your using of their platform. The forum isn't tired to their casino. If everything is working fine then we shouldn't raised unnecessary attention which might lead to fud. Understand that this a is a business official ANN thread and anything you say here might bring business or chase away potential customer.
Honestly that's not really that wrong, because there is no "customer service topic" here, plus they can't really reach out to anyone else in any other place, so that leaves them with two options 1) write here which is the one that makes the most sense and 2) write to twitter which would not be seen or cared about by enough people. So, that is why everyone writes here, that makes more sense and I understand it, that's logical.

Here you get to get your voice heard by so many gamblers and thanks to bitcointalk and this topic, we have learned that LL hasn't been caring about his websites so much anymore and without here I wouldn't know about it until it happened to me as well.

Now I know how cash circulates into the crypto markets. I know fundamentals are the most important part of a project. I again could do mistakes in the next bull season but I will be more mature than to handle the situation. I do take some losses but the lesson it gave me would save a hell lot of money in the future.
Good for you that you started with a laptop but majority here have only started with just a mobile phone so you are considered to be lucky already but thanks to the cryptos because of the profits that it provides, many of us here have now bought their own laptops.

This is important especially for a trader that often check the charts and do some technical analysis, anyway I agree on the 2 items that you list but about the 3rd one? no that's not true. What about other big projects lke btc and eth? Do you still think that they can go to zero? It's important to learn from your mistakes because if not then you won't improve in the path that you choose and you will only lose a lot of money.
1624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 17600$ was the bottom ? on: June 22, 2022, 08:26:05 PM
Quote
It has been speculated that the BTC price will hit US$10k in 2022-2023 as the worst-case scenario for the entire community of crypto investors and tech companies relying on this cryptocurrency for payment transactions. The prediction is that after hitting the rock-bottom level of US$10k, Bitcoin may turn around for a comeback while reaching the US$50k zone.
From the data above, I assume Bitcoin will go even lower than the current price, the bottom line: I hope, if it happens $10k, hopefully I can do something in Bitcoin for the future, I really lose, if the opportunity goes by and it's useless knowing Bitcoin has reached the level of $ 10k, without doing anything for sure and always in failure.
Yeah, it would be a shame if the price goes down but we do not take advantage of that. I still think that we reached the bottom, but that is something I have been saying for a while so I am not going to act as if I know everything about bitcoin, it could still go down, but we should be taking advantage of it right now, so that we wouldn't be upset if it goes up without ever going down further, but we should be ready for another drop at the same time if it happens.

Maybe do not use all of your money and use some of it, and then go in even more later on? That seems like something that could be done if you ask me. Definitely a challenge, but could be done.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 22, 2022, 06:02:06 PM
I still stand by my point of view, my favorite is Argentina.
I don't understand how England are placed in second place, as we saw England's game was not impressive. I prefer if the second position is in place by Spain or francis, I think the game of these two countries is better than England. Even England's UEFA nations league tournament had to finish last in group 3.
There are mostly things done by Bookmakers we call this trap, and they are doing same thing in England case because I am also have feeling England has no chance for win in this world cup, and they are second in favorite list which is something suspicious for me and many more around us, or we can call this just like in case of Champions League we have two teams in hot favorite, and they never achieve this honor like PSG and Manchester City.

About whom is going to win this world cup it's too early because right now we have five months remaining in this even and many changes can happen like injuries or some other factors which can play vital role in any team's performance from here any team can go through to win for me Brazil, France, Argentina and Germany are teams to watch.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 21, 2022, 09:10:24 PM
I did not see any improvement from the Mercedes especially in this track full of straights where usually the Mercedes engine excels in.It did not do so in this race, they only got to the podium and 4th because of Leclerc starting 19th and Perez having a power engine failure otherwise they would be 5th and 6th which in this season seems like their natural habitat.I am starting to doubt now Totto Wolf words before the beginning of this season when he said near Silverstone or after Silverstone we should start to fight for a win,we are now near Silverstone and I have not seen any fight for the win nor I predict one.
I mean they are failing to fix that bouncing problem, and that is the main reason why they are not at the top anymore. If they race with 100% and go full blast then the car bounces a lot and they stop being fast, when it goes down because of the wind, it should stay low, but it bounces back and slows them down.

He assumed that they would fix this by the time Silverstone came, but they haven't so far, maybe they will until that race, but when they do, they will definitely be close to the top even more, not saying that they will win anything or not, maybe a few races but Max is already 2 wins ahead of Charles, so I am assuming that Perez would be a bigger risk to Max this year than any racer from any other team, even if they end up winning a few times.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 21, 2022, 07:48:49 PM
Maybe this is one of the reasons why cricket is so popular in South Asia. It can be played in narrow lanes and alleys. On the other hand, other sports such as football and field hockey requires a much larger space. In my childhood, we had some open space near our home and we used to play cricket there. But all those open spaces are gone now, replaced with concrete jungle. But still cricketing activity goes on, as the kids make use of whatever space that is available. Once in a while we get complaints of broken window panes or the ball hitting someone's head.. but apart from that everything is fine.  Grin
But that same thing can be said about football in this region. Football doesn't take either a lot of money or a lot of space so by that theory football should have been the most popular sport in this region but that is not the case.

I think it's just because people's tastes can vary because of different regions. The people of this region simply like cricket a lot. And you know that with football at least a good amount of open space is needed but with cricket that is not really necessary. So, that can be a reason why cricket is generally a lot more popular in this region.
We can play any sport at any place but sadly here in South Asia media play a vital role for spread of cricket so now its most popular game media never give any good intention to other sports like Soccer, Hockey, Tennis and Rugby, so we bounded with this cricket too much. Few years back we have places for these all games but sadly now as @Sithara007 mention we are living in concrete jungle which is killing nature beauty and now our kids are mostly enjoying with indoor games.

Sometime back we were fully enjoying with all outdoors activities but right now mostly peoples love to stay indoor specially in South Asia they have no good schedule like peoples have in European countries.
In childhood, we mostly group of six or seven guys able to enjoy cricket in very small place now just feeling this all in thoughts and dreams.
1628  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: June 21, 2022, 07:01:01 PM
Indeed bitcoin is in a downward price trend that has been going on since the last few month where the bitcoin price is currently trading in the $20k-$19k area. This decline could be a reaction to accelerate a significant up move. Therefore, I am optimistic that bitcoin will breakout again in the resistance area above $30k.
This is very true, when people are selling bitcoin, that means there are a lot of bitcoins in the market that is unsold but being sold at the moment, and that means that anyone with just a bit of money could bulk purchase plenty of time. Remember, there are companies who bought billions of dollars worth of bitcoin, and that is a lot, like tens of thousands of bitcoins.

If anyone wanted to do the same, 10k bitcoins would worth only 200 million give or take, and that is very cheap, when it goes to 60k again one day ,that is 600 million so a 400 million dollar profit. You can buy even more and make even more profit and there are many companies in wall street that is looking to do exactly just that.
200 million dollars cheap? No way mate. There are big companies out there but I don't think they can invest that huge for a highly unstable asset/investment but I think they can allocate more funds on traditional investments. For btc maybe they can only invest hundreds and thousands of dollars and max would be a million or two.

@StreakW if someone wants to accelerate the increase of btc then they should buy not sell. Selling will have an opposite effect and that is the price can go down but even if they did that, there is still always a chance that btc can go back to its previous level, I am talking about the higher price only and not the lower ones since we are already in here at the moment.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge coin in trouble? on: June 21, 2022, 06:12:49 PM
I came across a news today that Elon Musk was sued for pumping doge coin and rumour of the pyramid scheme in doge coin isnt very clear to me yet, if you want to read the news here you go

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-16/musk-tesla-spacex-are-sued-for-alleged-dogecoin-pyramid-scheme
There's so many twitter influencers and youtubers that are doing the same thing but why Elon Musk is the only one that is being sued? Is it because they think he is the mastermind? LoL and they know that he as a lot of money but that if they can win this case because I don't think Elon will just believe on it instantly and do a negotiation by paying them a good amount.

I don't think Elon is that easy to get but he is a smart guy. People already knows that dogecoin is a meme coin and its being manipulated so most of them already left the coin. Don't worry I don't think the price of this coin can dump heavily but the news can only have a small impact on its price.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is being too nice. Most people don't deserve the chance to buy it so cheap. on: June 20, 2022, 09:48:41 PM
The ones who will miss this train also might never see another. Do you really think BTC will be so cheap for the next years to come? Once it goes in the $1xx,xxx zone you better get used to it.

BTC is being too nice because most people don't deserve another chance after they had thousands of chances to buy it cheap and did nothing.
But in real life, the ones who misses the train can still ride on another train as trains don't remain on one position but they keep on moving, the same scenario can be applied here in cryptos. Btc/price being the train and is volatile.

Btc in the future might not be cheaper as its price now but at least it can still fall right after an all time high and people can still buy it and be able to make a profit once it recovers and reach another new ath but I think a bigger dumps is still possible because if we look at last time when btc hit 69k, it then falls up to this point. It can mean that the higher price gets, the heavier the dump can also be experienced.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lido Staked ETH (stETH) is depegging, is this another disaster? on: June 20, 2022, 09:04:11 PM
I've heard about it and learned that the crypto market has had a topsy-turvy week when a flurry of negative news about Celsius and Three Arrows Capital's performance caused a "chain effect" on the market. The market panicked, sending the prices of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major altcoins to their 2022 lows. Perhaps these are not the last victims we will see, as the situation is not very good for the market. general economic markets as well as crypto.
Well, this is not new but this is always the case that happens whenever there are set of negative events, it will then impact the market also in a bad way making the prices plunge. It's only sad though that these negative events come when we are still in bear and this had totally worsen the situation. I think that even the experienced ones are now starting to doubt about the credibility of the cryptocurrencies but let's just hope that they will hold on because we still believe that this poor market can recover.

The price of the sETh was still at 0.95 and I think that was still close to 1 eth so people shouldn't panic immediately as what they think can be wrong and it is already said that " 1 sETH is always 1 ETH redeemable after the proof of stake merge" and I think the merge didn't started yet?
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: From Sideways to Downhill on: June 19, 2022, 09:41:50 PM
The inflation has made the life difficult for everyone. So the life is going downhill for everyone.
Not totally for everyone because there are ultra rich people and I don't think they are affected with it. There are inflation and crypto prices are going downhill but it does not mean that we will follow it and our life will go downhill as well, that's wrong but instead this should give us a lot of motivation to stand up. People are often challenged once these negative situations come.

Are we in a "now what" situation? Or do you think this is as far down as it goes? Even the week chart looks bad for BTC. Any suggestions what to do?
A now what situation is not true for someone that is well prepared and know that these things can happen but for some that aren't they can end up thinking like that but in case they didn't know what to do, I think the best thing to do now is to continue buying or doing a dca. Hodl is also a must thing to do after that. Charts looks bad but don't despair too much as there's still a chance for the market to recover.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 18, 2022, 06:08:22 PM
A few years ago, BBL used to be popular in India as well, but in recent times the TV viewership seems to have taken a hit. Most of the foreign players, and many of the Australian national team members avoid BBL because of the unreasonably low salary cap. BBL is relatively longer when compared to other leagues such as the PSL and the BPL and there is no logic for players to participate in this league will earning a lower salary. If they want to attract global audience, then they need to involve the star players such as Babar, Pollard and de Kock. But that is not possible with the current salary cap.
If Australian own players are not playing BBL because of low salaries then overseas star players won't come to play this league. Attitude of Aussie players with overseas players is also another reason why big players are not interested in joining BBL. Remember how Shane Warne behave with WIndies player in BBL.
There is nothing new in this we have a history that most Australian players did not like to play their domestic cricket and they prefer English domestic and now IPL because of salaries which are very low for them and for BBL their time and system is not good for many players around the globe so mostly they have players for some matches and then they prefer other leagues or their national duties. Agree with this statement as well their behavior with other players is also not acceptable mostly they are rude and their body language is also never been good which is another reason most foreign players did not like to play here.

Even the Australian cricket system is one of the best in the world and they are producing too many great players but now it is time for them to do something good in this way also because this is also very important in this game of gentlemen.
1634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A single trading tool is not enough on: June 18, 2022, 01:46:38 PM
This is the simplest question I've gotten in trading.
In trading, understand the indicator. If all your indicator point to the same direction, then you can enter the trade. Please note, you MUST check the news update before using this indicator. A typical list of indicators and their values can be viewed on https://m.investing.com/indices/bitcoin-real-time-technical . All indicators such as MACD, WILLIAMS e.tc are there.
You have a good point, and It’s quite similar to what the OP is saying though – making sure that we are applying or making use of different indicators at the same time so that we can be very hundred percent sure that we are entering the market at the right time.

Using different indicators can be helpful for us as traders to clear every doubt that we may have. Originally, we all know that the market is volatile and risky, but that’s not to say that we should lack discipline.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High odds or low odds, which do you prefer? on: June 17, 2022, 08:15:10 PM
Sports is a different matter, much harder to look at gambler wagering samples, in a lifetime a sports betting for me maybe hits thousands of bets, while dice I probably played half a billion bets lol.
Although many people think that dice is a game that doesn't make sense because it only relies on luck, I think many people also like it. Another game that may be the same is slots, so dice and slots are two popular games that are most liked by gamblers in general.

It's true that sports betting is a different matter, but it seems like it would be more realistic and fun to have a good experience in this game. The probability level in sports betting is much better in my opinion compared to slots and dice but these are my assumptions which may differ from yours.
Well, if he focused more on dice over sports betting, his number of bets will be much higher than the other one but if he focused on sports betting then, it's the one that can get a higher number of bets.

Those that think that dice game is only a game of luck are maybe not a true player of this game but avid fans knows that it can be both (a game of luck and at the same time a game of skill). In fact starts like martingale did originated on this game and there's also dice bots which you can use to create different strategies but for a slot game, I don't know but I think this is the real one that is only based on luck and this is a great source of pure entertainment.
1636  Economy / Economics / Re: World are going to WEB 5.0? What is WEB 5.0? on: June 17, 2022, 06:02:16 AM
So web 5.0 is just the same as web 3.0 with only a little difference and that is the "extra" decentralization. That may be important to those who are too conscious about their privacy but for me im already contented on what web 3 has to offer but im wondering why will they jump to web 5.0 in an instant when there is still web 4.0? Are they trying to copy the internet technology that we have now which is 5g? But even that, there's also a 4g internet before 5g came out.

This is the sad reality and there are reports that our identities/data's are being sold by these third-party companies but what can we do? We already agreed on their terms and conditions the moment we signed up and use on their platforms. It's also our fault anyway.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your take of NFTs? on: June 17, 2022, 05:19:56 AM
The amount of NFT projects spreading to all over the world, makes it cheaper too, which is a problem. I agree with you that there are a lot of NFT projects right now, but doesn't that poses a threat to each other? Think about it, when there is 10 million dollars to go around, if it is 10 projects then each get 1 million equally, if there are 100 then each get 100k.

Of course it is not equally distributed, btu that’s the logic, whereas we are not even investing as much as we used to, which means that NFT projects are getting even less. I do not think that it is really a big deal, I feel like it should be considered as a bad thing and not a big deal anymore.
I would guess that there will be a point where people could still come back though, and when people come back, those projects will comeback too and there will be some big ones. There was always a lot of people in the NFT market that wanted a piece of it, but none of them really mattered, even while cryptopunks got hundreds of thousands of dollars, there were projects that went for 50 dollars a piece at most, some went even lower.

I have seen ones that failed to sell for 20 bucks during ape period for example. So, when investors come back, there will be some new stuff and they will get some attention, while all the others do not get the same level of attention at the same time.
1638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2022, 04:40:10 AM
What do you think will be the bottom for Bitcoin, from which it will begin to recover? Another question is whether now is the best time to invest or whether waiting for more dump is advisable.
I think I've seen someone predicted that btc can still fall under 20k. There's also one that I see where he predicts 13k is the bottom. None of them is guaranteed though because they are only just a prediction. The only thing that you can do is to trust on yourself if which do you think because in the end it was still your own money. We have hit 20k last day right?

But, now btc is spotted recovering at 21k but it does not mean that it can continue. Movements of btc is totally unpredictable. Can't say that this is the best time to invest because there might be more dumps to come but this is a good time to invest since price is cheaper than last time.  You can do dca.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PoS vs PoW later this year on: June 16, 2022, 09:10:48 PM
ETH is below its 2017 ATM. And all this due to the stETH depeg. If this was a bull market it wouldn’t of been a big deal but on a weekend when liquidity is low it’s crazy how fast it has fallen.

If the stocks have a bad week, you can see it fall closer to the $1000 area. Most likely won’t be the bottom. Too much bearish news out lately and I wonder when we will get some relief. The CPI numbers certainly made things much much worse.
ETH and stETH are not linked together, dude. Only one way from ETH to 'voucher' stETH that I really don't understand why people trade their ETH for that shitty coin and the empty promise of staking. stETH can drop down to zero for all I care and ETH still stand. Maybe when people start to understand that, ETH can stop being fud by some shitcoin trying to link and peg to ETH.
For a potential to make more money? I do not know why they do it, I have zero idea why anyone would give the real thing and take the fake thing and be okay with it, hell IU do not put my money into stablecoins with the same mindset.

However, I could sort of understand how people are making a mistake with the current situation, everything is chaotic at this point and that is why they are making these radical moves so that they could protect at least a bit of their money. For me, I would only come up with "making more profit this way" as the only solution, all the others are looking like it would be a bad decision and I wouldn't really invest any other reason.
1640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dubai: FIVE Hotels Unveils Support for Bitcoin and Ether Payments on: June 16, 2022, 08:59:08 PM
I think this is correlated with CZs decision of having their team of operations in Dubai. I've read from someone that crypto meetups are made in Dubai because it's a crypto friendly country.

And by that, CZ has made Dubai a better crypto friendly country because AFAIK, they've got a license there. For which, this is going to make most of the companies there to be easy and adoptive with crypto payments.
Not only CZ but there are other crypto personalities and companies that are also going on this country to do a business. It's not that this country is crypto friendly but because Dubai is a good place and known for businessmen to do a meeting. It has to do with the ambiance I guess? But other than Dubai, there are also other countries that are involved sometimes.

It's important that there are hotels that accepts crypto payments just in case there are business/meet ups that are going to happen again for crypto enthusiasts all over the world and it's a good thing that they only accept the main crypto which are eth and btc, not dogecoin and shib which are also being planned to be accepted on major services.
