You must paste this in the window that pops up when you hit windows+R
And you must change "c:\path\to" to the real folder where the file pywallet.py is located

BTW before doing anything, please backup your wallet

Edit: you can also use a new software I'm developping (it will replace pywallet soon)
It's just an exe to double-click

I'd need some Windows testers.
Normally you will be able to update later so you would only have to download it once.

b!z get lost, don't you have anything better to do  Huh  Why don't you find another thread to put your smart comments in and work your way up to the full member, so you can add a link with your own scam to your signature.  I write this for I surely know that people who participate currently or participated in the past in obvious scams are more prone to accuse that to others.

1658  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wrong bitcoin address on: September 24, 2013, 11:21:51 AM
I understand for valid address coins are gone

For invalid address coins wont go through right ? Will the transaction fail in that case ?
The client will tell you the address is invalid and will do nothing
Similar to what happens if you try to send an email to

và"(ç@fzà"oé"*'$@"_ézf!e:;/.23!"é''(

If you are using a poorly written third party wallet, and it doesn't validate addresses, will nodes refuse to relay a transaction that attempts to use an invalid address?

Rather unlikely that an implementation would not validate the address, since validation is simple.

There is no way to recognize "wrong" address at the protocol level, at that level it is no longer a string with checksum but just uninterpreted data, therefore the transaction will be relayed and coins lost.

As I said just above the coins aren't necessarily lost. ~15% of typing errors don't change the recipient.

  • Hit
  • Type "c:\python27\python.exe"
  • If you see something like the following then continue. Else stop and write here what is written.
Code:
Python 2.7.4 [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>>
  • Type "exit()" to exit Python
  • Type "c:\python27\python.exe c:\path\to\pywallet.py --web"
  • Write here what you see

We can also teamviewer a bit if you want

FWIW I'm developping a new pywallet where you just have to run a .exe
It's coming soon
