1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2022, 08:20:20 AM
Anyone else watching this Suns golden state game.  For game 4 of the year its super chippy.  Klay and Booker were talking shit all quarter to each other and klay finally got chucked.  I know it's insanely too early but if this is what it's gonna be lime I need to see a 7 game series with these teams.

I am. Klay was having an off night and ended with 2 points. Booker seems like he likes to rub it in whenever that sort of thing happens. I can’t imagine the Suns are going to enjoy their next meeting. It looks like Golden State might be throwing in the towel now. I wouldn’t be surprised if they met up in the playoffs.

No Zion and no Ingram but the Pelicans still pulled out a win against the Mavericks. The Pelicans are going to be good…

Yeah pels are deep.  Book has it going this game and don't blame him got under klays skin.  It was a tight game until klay got booted then the Suns blew it open.  Smart move honestly.  Can't wait for the next one.  Don't know if there will be a more fun matchup to watch than these 2 squaring up.  Memphis mid year shoukd be a good one too.  This game didn't feel like an October game.  Seasons gonna be good.
Yeah, and Booker has been giving it out and at the same time, receiving the end of it. Remember him and Luka trash talking during their series last year? When you thought that Booker will be the one of top, Luka raises his game and then they were upset that time.

So I agree that this is the competitive spirit of this players and for sure Klay Thompson won't forget this one. I'm starting to believed that the Pelicans could be a real contender this season specially the way they played and with Zion back in their future games, they could be in a run here.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 26, 2022, 04:37:28 AM
Now, such fight is far from happening as Casimero has no more belts to boast for.
And as he is in the new weight division, let's see if they will still cross their path.
A lot are saying that Inoue was really scared of Casimero, but I don't think that was the real deal before.
If only the fight happened, we should have known now the level of Casimero as compared to Inoue.
This is why it is so disappointing they did not got to fight each other, because even if I think Inoue would win a potential fight between the two of them, we also know that anything can happen in a fight and a single punch is more than enough not only to change the trajectory of a fight but even of a whole career, however while I do not like champions losing their titles over the table Casimero was given enough chances and he simply wasted them, so I cannot say I disagree with the decision.
Casimero will still have the opportunity to have a crack against Inoue but it will be in the next division. But it might take some time because he doesn't have the belt and he has to go a lot of fighters and maybe his height could be a disadvantage in this weight class. What a waste of opportunity in this career, he trash talk his way and almost got the fight he wanted against Inoue, but his own issues bring down the fight.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 26, 2022, 03:26:49 AM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.
Posting your own wins isn't bad on its own and it's possible that it could encourage you to chase losses but I don't think it's always the case based on the winning posts that i've seen. Others post their wins as a way to promote the site then there are some that post their wins so they could share their experience. Every winning post doesn't always show how much they've lost before hitting that win but I just think it depends on the person's mindset for example if they require themselves to post their wins in every session.
Yes, I do agree here, sometimes you need to share your experience and post your winnings and your bet before hand. But I don't think it will led to gambling addiction. Maybe the gambler itself is already addicted that's why he keeps posting.

But for those who are not, I'm sure posting will not be an issue for them. And I don't think that they are also going to chase their losses, it's just the experience that they are sharing.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could 17.5k BTC actually be 13-14k pre-inflation? on: October 26, 2022, 02:23:55 AM
So i'm basically just thinking out loud but with inflation going rampant and last 2 years everything went up at least 20% in price and value do you think that 17.5k
(which could be a bottom in current bear cycle) BTC could actually be 13-14K preinflation and 17.5k as of now a bottom adjusted for inflation?
Possible, but what is the point of thinking it that way? I mean prices is going down, we are in the bear market, it went from $69k to $17.5 or whatever price you think. So that's basically what happened in a long hard and grind bear market.

We will definitely have to bottom in this cycle, right now it's $17.5k. Maybe next year when the market is still in the negative in could be in $13k-$14k like your price pre-inflation, but it doesn't mean anything to bitcoin investors.
1805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I know about Bitcoin on: October 25, 2022, 09:52:54 PM
I came across Bitcoin on Facebook ads but Ido about it
until a friend of mine who knows about cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) agreed to teach me everything about Bitcoin and how to trade and have my own wallet.
Hopefully you are making money in trading, because it is very difficult specially at this trying times. We are in a bear market if you are not aware of it so the price could stagnant for a while and I will assume that you are a beginner and so very hard to squeeze and make profits out of it.

He  taught me Bitcoin as digital currency or online cash that is used for buying products and services and so on.
Bitcoin has been existing since 2009 but I was not aware of it untill 2021.I was having no money to invest after my friend taught me about Bitcoin time and also I was not having a concrete knowledge on it so in the month of May 2022. He has been teaching me. I have gotten small knowledge on it and now I have my own Bitcoin  Wallet.
I guess my advise is just to continue with your journey and learn like everyday. As for your bitcoin wallet, secure it, keep your private key and mnemonics phrase, do not share it to someone not even to your friend who teach you bitcoin.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto Twitter reacted to Kim Kardashian’s $1.26M SEC fine on: October 25, 2022, 09:39:27 PM
All these media stars are almost always promoting outright scam and garbage.

the question I ask: what is really missing for so many celebrities to have promoted shitcoin?

because celebrities are rich people, they don't even need the money these shitcoins give, but how is it possible that celebrities don't have legal advisors and people who are able to do research on these scam projects and alert celebrities?

They are paid huge royalties for promotion, which allows them to make money on that coin, as opposed to the crowd of naive investors who believed the Influencer. Influencers have always gotten a lot of money for promoting a product to their audience. I think if there were any modest sums involved, these celebrities wouldn't cooperate. If they're spending their time and their media resources, that means there are some extremely lucrative contracts out there.
Yes, and I would add that this superstars are not going to look at what project it is, and who is the people behind. As long as they are going to make money out it and tons then, they will ride and promote it whatever they can on their social media.

It's that the SEC really caught on her, and setting some examples on that the next celebrities who are going to be approach by this project will have second thoughts whether to endorse it or not. And I so I say this is a good move by SEC to promote future investors from getting scam again.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 25, 2022, 12:44:03 PM
Speaking of Loma, he has been vocal about Tank Davis and he said that Tank needs to face tough opponent so that he can be recognized. I think we all agree to that, he just face Isaac Cruz and then Rolly Romero in his last 2 fights and not all of us are familiar with that name. And also Loma praises Shakur, and admit that they have sparred in the past at 126-130 but admit that Stevenson is very different now as he is bigger and poise to make it to 135 lbs and which he is trying to get all his belt back. And if Loma wins here, we expect a fight between him and Haney next year and that will be big. As for Ortiz, even if he losses this fight, this is still a good experience to put under his belt and he could be a champion later down the road.

The expectations from the fans really into the side of Loma, knowing that he's on a mission to bring down Haney after this fight, chasing for the belt and regaining the hype will bring loma more money fight. Still too early for conclusion, but the upper hand and the favorite already been eyed to Loma, it's more on Ortiz exposure and how he will try to upset the heavy favorite.

We might see a more interesting fight once Loma starts winning. Fans will love to see him holding the belt as they will expect
more challenger to chase fighting him.

It's already interesting seeing Loma vs Haney, so let's hope that Loma will win this fight as he has not fought a real champion since he got defeated by Lopez. It's his comeback fight, a win is a must for him to face Haney, otherwise, he has to start over again which we don't want to see.
He fought a very tough opponent in Nakatani though, and the former champion Richard Commey, so I would say that is already a impressive comeback fight from Loma. However, we all know what happen next, and then he is on another comeback trail against Ortiz. So everyone is expecting the Loma will win here so that he will fight for the belt against Devin Haney.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 25, 2022, 10:45:59 AM
As far as I know his medical condition last year in December was now being controlled and since this is super bantamweight, Casimero should also not have a problem with weight. If I'm not mistaken he was 10 lbs over the required weight during the supposed Butler match.
Yeah, and the control is not that hard since this is 122 lbs already, as opposed to 118 lbs wherein he really have to lose a lot of that extra pounds if he comes in or walking around 130 lbs.

If ever he's still playing at that weight, burning around 5 lbs should not be a problem for him before the official weigh-in of this match. Casimero although inactive on the ring for some issues he faced, should not show any ring rust, especially on this opponent.
If he has really a good team, then they don't have to wait till the actual weigh in to burn that excess weight. They should be at least in target days before the actual weigh in so that it won't put a strain on his body trying to lose that baggage in his body. No need to go to sauna.  Smiley
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 25, 2022, 10:25:30 AM
So as a parent it is our responsibility to set good examples to the kid.  If we want to maintain their trust and respect to us, we must be a good example for them and stay true to our words and promises.
There are no other people that will correct the children and wants the best for them but only their parents. The first to correct them are their parents and they're the reflection of how they've been grown by them. Being a good example is what must be shown to them and your way of parenting will reflect when your children grow up. The hardest part is that even if you're considered a good parent but when your kid has his own way and has grown up already as a man or woman, they have their way and free will of how they do it on their own.
i am agree as parents we must show good example to our children ,althoug we were gamblers but we must give them knowledge about the disadvantages about gambling.  Our child will duplicate our behaviour so show them the best behaviour one ,let gambling be our own habbit. Maybe teach them.about trading and its knowledge would better than gambling.
Yes, and I must say it's a circle, so if we wanted to break it, then we shouldn't let our children know that we are gambling so that they won't be curious about it. But on the other hard, there is this one part that could influence our kids as well, it's the environment. For sure they are not home 24x7 and we can't be always at their side. And so we should always monitor them, call them to see where they are specially at night and not in the companions of some that is going into casinos or gambling den.

1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 24, 2022, 09:26:07 PM
For the meantime, this fight will be parked unless there's any further news and updates with regard to this match. It will be announced, or another rumor will come up around the social media channels.

And that rumors will surely be circulated next year if Crawford will win against Avanesyan in December and Spence will also win in his next fight.

I just wonder what will happen if Crawford loses against Avanesyan. That's a big news.

Spence might have an easy match for an undisputed Welterweight bout for let's say he will wait for the winner of this match and not fight another boxer yet.

It is really hard to imagine that Bud Crawford will be defeated here, I mean, this David Avanesyan do have a pretty record as he finished his 5 recent fights in KO and TKO but I don't think that he can do that to Crawford. Personally, I'm inclined that this is just like a tune-up fight and others have said that this is just a cherry-picked fight to keep Crawford's flame burning while he is also waiting for the undisputed fight.
He really needs to be active, and perhaps this is what Spence want him, not to fight and wait for next year. But if that is the case, then just maybe he will have a ring rust and that's what Crawford is trying to avoid in his career. He needs to be active and as you have said, keep that fire inside of him to be competitive. And so he chooses a dangerous boxer that hits hard. It might not be a good choice in paper, but Crawford is willing to put his belt on the line against a relatively unknown fighter. And definitely, upsets do happen but Crawford is willing to take that risk here.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2022, 09:10:36 PM
Players varies in their won style of game and technique, like Dreymond Green had some defend techniques which sometimes helped him in games but he's still not center, he's versatile and fit in any position at any given point in time. Jokic also taking similarities with Green but doesn't have strength and don't also defend like Green and let's not forget that they're both different interms of their qualities on the court. It's really scarce to see a complete player this present time but there still quite number of them and their team wouldn't want to let them go due to their performance and solid results for the team.
Yes definitely!
Green can defend some centers (with difficulty), but on the other hand, he can defend players smaller than him, for example some PF, SF and even SG
That's versatility, we have seen players in the past that can do that as well, Dennis Rodman for one is the classic example of this. He is not that big, but he is very strong and can guard center during his era, even Shaq and the muscular Karl Malone.

Another interesting information... Jokic is much more offensive, unlike Green, who is a defensive player.
Because that's what his team needs of him and that's why he become a back to back MVP, he has put a statistical numbers that only Joel Embiid can match. Unfortunately, Joel is just a runner up. But we will see if Jokic can have that numbers again or someone will take over as the new MVP for this season.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 22, 2022, 05:45:25 AM
The Denver Nuggets were able to beat the Golden State Warriors. I feel like if there was another couple of minutes left the Warriors would have won though. The impressive thing is that Denver did it without Murray who is joining them for their home opener. I think the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans are going to surprise people this year and show that their time is coming. My sleeper picks for the Finals.

I just saw some glimpse of the game, specially in the last 8 minutes, the Warriors keep coming back even with just 1 minute left. Yeah, it was really an impressive win although the Warriors had a bad shooting night in the first half. They build a good lead and then just hold off the Warriors come back in the 4th quarter.

Bruce Brown and Jeff Green played very good as they play clutch. It could be the Nuggets could really be one of the teams in the already stack up West division.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 22, 2022, 05:26:32 AM
AFAIK the real danger is family members and "friends" lottery winners haven't seen in years suddenly showing up and asking for handouts.   Cheesy
True, there are a lot of this kind of story in our country when suddenly you have a lot of relatives waiting for free money.

I think statistically more than 80% of lottery winners end up impoverished and in debt without a short timeframe. While we are prone to looking outside of ourselves for biggest dangers and threats. The most likely scenario for failure with winning the lottery is usually our own lack of self control. Lack of discipline. Lack of knowledge for how to cope with and grow wealth. The same precedent could apply to countries nationally. People love movies about alien invasions and a zombie apocalype. But looking around the world today, the biggest dangers appear to be our own mismanagement of money and natural resources.
Yeah and you don't know if winning lottery is a cursed or what. It supposed to give you a good lifestyle, even to your families. Unfortunately, there are winners who don't know how to control and with this huge money on their pocket, they simply by everything including to their close relatives that makes them bankrupt in the next couple of years and those who you help during that time of your money and fame will suddenly disappear. Just but true. But for those winners who manage to stay low key, then congrats to them. Investment in the key.
1814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Mt. Gox coins affect Bitcoin’s price in August? on: October 21, 2022, 11:51:09 AM
And I guess that we can say today that the price or the Mt. Gox coins didn't put that much dent on the price?

It's already October and almost end of the month and the worst prediction of like $10k-$15k didn't happen as the price is moving on the line of $19k++.

And with that, I will say that indeed the ghost of Mt. Gox is no longer here to us, I know for us still lingers in their memories, but at least now, we can move forward.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 21, 2022, 11:22:22 AM

I checked on who is Tsitsi potential opponent is and it's a tough one,

it's either defending champion Tommy Paul or home favourite Mikael Ymer.

Nevertheless I also see another tough match for Tsitsi for either of this player and I do agree that this match might be extended to a full 3 sets as both Paul and Ymer is tough, and so this is a close one for Tsitsi, but I wlll not be surprised that he will go to the semifinals of this tournament.

Tsitsipas with the winning form will continue to overcome Ymer without much of difficulty. In the match against Maxime Cressy he was in a tough situation and he took it forward winning in the direct set after hard fight. As said, there is more chances of match moving to the third set and both the players of the similar age will have a game comprising lengthy rallies.
I checked the schedule and it seems that it will be Tsitsipas vs Ymer in the QF.

Ymer won over Tiafoe in a 3 setter with 2 games going into a tie break.

And in another QF match, it's Shapovalov vs De Minaur, so far Alex won the first set 6-2, but the second set is very close right now. I'm not going to bet, but I'm seeing De Minaur winning in 3 sets, or maybe can cover the handicap.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 11:00:47 AM
And the struggle continues as the Lakers got a another L against the Clippers. It's just too bad that they're playing good defense but couldn't score. Considering how close the score was, they could've lead the whole 4th quarter.
Lakers are 19/85 fg beyond the arc from their last 2 games, that's really terrible. While Westbrook was 0/11 in field tonight 0/6 from 3. Tough night for Russ, though he played a very good defense against Leonard down the stretch.

Lakers' offense is very awful to watch.

Yes, this is the second defeat at the start, the first and third quarters were played very badly, and as a result, defeat. LeBron's double-double and Walker's 26 points weren't enough to help the team. The Lakers are losing the Los Angeles Derby to a principle rival, they need to pick themselves up and start winning. A difficult start, and not a very confident game in attack, but this needs to be corrected during of the season.
And I guess this is already a bad sign for the Los Angeles Lakers, even in pre season games they are having a difficult time winning. So what more if this is already the start of the regular season?

Yeah, they badly needed a shooter, Rob Pelinka needs something drastic in the case of WB, they should trade him asap, the offer that the Pacers is giving them is good, however, they don't want to risk 2 future draft picks so it's a dilemma for him.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 21, 2022, 10:44:10 AM
I think as long as it doesn't violate the rules set by the casino site, I think it's legal, but if the casino site closes the account without a reasonable reason, of course it's a problem, it all depends on the rules made by the casino site itself, anyone can use the faucet or the bonus if it has been provided and of course the casino must not violate its own rules and prohibit withdrawals from users as long as it meets the requirements
They have every right to close an account that they deemed abusing their faucets or like doing bonus farming, like creating a lot of accounts, anything that will abuse the casinos.

So there is no gray area here, the individual might find success early and if he can withdraw it, then good. But if the casino later found out what you have done, they will immediately lock and close your account and maybe you can ask for the reasons, but I doubt that the casino will give you the exact justification.
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream crypto adoption on: October 20, 2022, 09:30:29 AM
If I'm not mistaken, there are a reports that UE says that bitcoin is not efficient as it uses or increase its use to like 40% this year alone. So I don't know if I'm going to believed this article or what.

Regardless, I think everyone should leave crypto's mining business, and I don't understand why government are really putting pressure on the miners to for those who make the hardware to be energy efficient. There are other industries that are even uses more energy than crypto mining and that's where they should focus.

Less millionaires obviousy, because there are a lot of individuals who become rich because they have invested early or a lot of money in bitcoin and then in bull run they sell to take their profits.

As for me, I don't know, it's a life saviour to me, I mean like years ago I lost my job but bitcoin keeps me something busy and of course make some money in the background. And as I gain experienced throughout, i was able to put food in the table because of my trading profits, just enough for me and my family to survived until I get a decent job and then I re-invest more.

Deonatay Wilder and Andy Ruiz appears to have rescued their own careers and will be given another chance to fight the champion Tyson Fury if one of them wins in this final eliminator hehehe.

WBC Confirm Wilder-Ruiz As Final Eliminator For Shot At Tyson Fury

President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán, has announced that a fight between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr will be ordered as a title eliminator, following Wilder’s demolition of Robert Helenius on Saturday night.

Wilder announced his comeback on Saturday night, with a brutal stoppage win over Robert Helenius. It took the 36-year-old just three punches to dispose of his opponent and in doing so has brought a newfound buzz back to the heavyweight division.

Source https://boxing-social.com/news/wbc-confirm-wilder-ruiz-final-eliminator/

In any case, should Tyson Fury also have a fight versus Usyk for the unification of all the heavyweight championships?

It seems that the President is very excited to see Wilder having that huge win against Helenius that he is willing to order a eliminator in the next WBC convention next week.

And if so this becomes official, what are the chances of Wilder winning against Ruiz and then facing Fury for the 3rd time?

Or will Fury fight Usyk first and unify all the belts before the possibility of facing the winner of Ruiz vs Wilder?
