1841  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you been logged in for? on: March 22, 2014, 01:24:43 PM
You're aware that you can check it yourself for every user?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=24140;sa=statPanel
I guess it's more fun for him to make a thread.
1842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has anyone played at everydice.com on: March 22, 2014, 01:24:02 PM
Haven't played in it. I'd stick to more reputable sites until you can smell a scam from a mile away.

No matter how reputable a site is you are gambling anyway.
There is a difference between gambling with your money in the sense that there's a chance you'll lose it, but in return there's a chance you'l win back the money you risked + a profit, and gambling in the sense where you THINK you have a chance of winning back your money with a profit, where in reality the owner of the gambling site is collecting enough cash to run off with.

Reputable sites are better, you can't argue with that.
Try a real site, like Primedice.

My experience is never storing any BTC on any sites, no matter for trading or investing purpose. Just make a few bets, try the luck and withdraw.
It's best researching the site before depositing as well.
Meh, even if a site has positive reviews from earlier doesn't mean they can f*ck up / run away at any time.
1843  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: About freebitcoinwin on: March 22, 2014, 01:22:37 PM
I actually spoke to the owner of the site about this, linked the thread together with the picture and all. Yet to get a reply.

i also send him email but the email bounce back at me Grin
Hah, well, we don't have to use his site, at least I know I won't. So really it's not a problem imo, just hope people get a look at this thread before investing too much time into that site.
1844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: March 22, 2014, 01:21:51 PM
And the price is sinking, again. Why is this?
( I've been gone for a few days ).
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: March 22, 2014, 01:21:18 PM
blockchain because it is the one of the best out there and I dont need to sync everyday
You don't need to sync everyday with multibit. Maybe when you start it up but that takes about 5-7 seconds for me.
1846  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: March 22, 2014, 01:20:31 PM
I'd vote for keeping things as they are...

I find is useful that poeple who mindlessly rent their sigs as spam openly demonstrate that they can be bought dirt cheap and have no principles or conscience.
It tells alot about someone who does that, thus I consider it useful info.

Yes. I think it's the simpliest soluiton that works. Anyone (including me) can decide to ignore them. :-))
And that's why the changes were nonsense. Just check the box that says "ignore other's signatures" and nobody gets bothered. Smiley
1847  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much would you pay for this book? on: March 22, 2014, 01:19:44 PM
I've seen this kind of dodgy format before, be wary guys, no offence to the OP but you're posting like previous dodgy spammers have trying to sell books like this.
Doubt anybody has downloaded / bought it yet to be honest, haha.
1848  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW] FairProof - the simplest provably fair bitcoin lottery (1,9% house fee) on: March 22, 2014, 01:19:05 PM
I must be stupid, but it looks like a dice site, rather than a "lottery".
Yes I agree we can call this a dice game because most of games like this have same patron
then I'm going to do a real lottery, and calling it dice game...
Wouldn't a lottery include almost all sorts of gambling?
1849  Economy / Gambling / Re: FairProof - the simplest provably fair bitcoin lottery on: March 22, 2014, 01:18:03 PM
Made a deposit, sure was instant!
Here we go!
1850  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites *and* Free Newbie Lotto on: March 22, 2014, 11:08:16 AM
It seems you can spend a lot of time and not get any bitcoins paid out, because all these sites have minimum payouts?

You need to get above those minimums so you don't fill your wallet up with dust. ( actually any dust payment would most likely never make it to your wallet because it wouldn't get picked up; would never get confirmed. )

I don't add any sites to the list which pay out dust amounts.

Many of the faucets in the list use services like coinbox or microwallet where payments from many sites are aggregated; so one can get a single larger payout instead of a lot of smaller ones.

And yes one can spend a lot of time for very little BTC with faucets...

So what good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74046.msg1088930#msg1088930

Small amounts are what got me started with bitcoin, that's why it's in the newbie section etc. Now i've come across quite a bit.
This list helped alot.

Best of luck!

Seems like they paid last month, check their thread.

1853  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: March 22, 2014, 10:07:44 AM
People supported slavery too.

And when they talked about it, they always talked about the benefits...not the use of force against humans.
>Compare taxes to slavery
>Think you're making a point
>Look like a giant douche

The difference between slavery and taxes is that not all people were directly affected by
slavery, it was discrimination towards a specific group of people.

There are other differences.  Taxes finance common goods for all society.  Taxes are paid by those who can afford them - slavery was imposed at random on whoever happened to be captured that day or happened to be born a slave.  Taxes are a minor inconvenience that people bitch about but never do anything to change.  Slavery destroyed lives and  people risked death and torture to escape.

I could go on.

Rofl, of course there are other differences, I only stated the one that was relevant to the point he was trying to make.
1854  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: March 22, 2014, 10:03:32 AM
Why not allow link usage to all tiers but block the first two or three tiers from using known paid advertisements sites.
You could blacklist those URLs and make them automatically redirect to bitcointalk.org
Link shorteners too would be blocked for those tiers and would redirect to bitcointalk.org

This will allow personal sites and would block usage of paid links.
This would take some time to blacklist the people though.
Hmm just because you are a Full member, you mentioned  above three tiers..! I would have liked your suggestion if you would have said to assign signature privileges only to sr.members or above :p
Of course everyone's gonna suggest what benefits themselves the most, lol.
1855  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS - Babe Ruth autographed baseball on: March 22, 2014, 10:01:36 AM
When you provide some proof about its authenticity i'm sure you'll get it sold.
1856  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Freebitco.in on: March 22, 2014, 10:00:02 AM
Also to note!
Freebitco.in have recently made their payouts higher. 0,35~ is now the biggest win, rather than 2,2~.
This of course also affects the lower payouts which have also been increased.
Best of luck!
1857  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Freebitco.in on: March 22, 2014, 09:56:52 AM
It's a good site guys, I still use it regularly. Get some referrals in there and you got yourself a small weekly income as well.
Plus they list the actual big winners so you can look for yourself that it's paying out!

Peace.
1858  Other / Meta / Re: The cancer that is Ponzi on: March 22, 2014, 09:55:40 AM
Seems like already 70% less of ponzis, don't you feel it? Smiley

Much much more air to breathe Smiley
Yah I noticed that too, I think it's wonderful to be honest. Not that I think ponzis
shouldn't be allowed, but it's annoying when 99% of all threads in gambling are such.
1859  Other / Off-topic / Re: First bitcoin related suicide? on: March 22, 2014, 09:54:47 AM
geezz man stand up and show that you got some balls to get on your feet again
life is not what you've always think you need to struggle sometimes in order to be strong and wise
suicide is for some hopeless person only however that is the last resort because even hopeless person still fight in order to live
be man enough

duhh
Check when post was created. Either OP killed himself or got his life back on track. Your post is late and useless.
1860  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Fucking Ponzi's and the idiots that buy into them + List of Shills on: March 22, 2014, 09:54:11 AM
I can't understand why you tell that bitdoubler is a scam, i sent 3 times 0.5 btc and i receive 3 times 1btc.
Because just like your advertising service, it is a scam.
Just because some people get paid early on doesn't mean that the ponzi is "legitimate".
It just means that it's building up trust until a few people pay enough, then they'll get "hacked", and
they will "try to refund" but nobody is ever getting their shit back.

A scammer promoting scams. What a surprise.
