1901  Other / Off-topic / Re: what is your phone type on: March 04, 2022, 08:32:52 PM
I use iphone & have for many years now. I can’t see any reason why I am likely to change that in the near future. I like the icloud back up system which enables me to upgrade my phone without worrying about losing all my data. I usually have a 2 year contract with my service provider & upgrade to the latest version biannually.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I get hacked, 2.4 bitcoin stolen from coinomi wallet on: March 04, 2022, 07:53:20 PM
Probably try reporting to the authorities. You've probably lost enough money to make hiring a lawyer worth it.

But really mate. I wouldn't want to kick you down as you've already lost money, but with 2.4 BTC why don't you have a hardware wallet? And worse — of all choices, you've decided in using a closed source wallet software.

^^
This

Or at the very least, an encrypted wallet.dat
OP I am sorry for your loss, I hate reading these kind of things but you could have avoided this with better security practises.
1903  Other / Off-topic / Re: pretty girl with bad case of Flatulence on: March 02, 2022, 12:49:21 PM
Met a nice girl  & before it Went there she warned me of her Gastrointestinal  problem and bad Flatulence.   is this ok for date?

Weird situation but it all depends on how relaxed you are about that kind of thing. I probably wouldn’t want to get serious with her but if she’s really hot you could hit it a few times, no strings attached.
1904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retail users out? on: March 01, 2022, 08:29:19 PM
Retail investors are like sheep, they just follow the trend. They have no real investing expertise or experience. The majority probably bought the top when FOMO kicked in at 60k & sold at a loss at some point after that. They’ll be back, like they are every cycle. Do the opposite of what these guys do, that’s what the smart money does.
1905  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk vs Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 01, 2022, 08:12:58 PM
They’re both absolute legends, pioneers, geniuses. I’m not too bothered about the atmosphere, energy use & all that eco-warrior crap though so Satoshi is undoubtedly the greatest pioneer of my lifetime. The guy is a modern day Einstein.
1906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: February 27, 2022, 03:48:15 PM
It doesn’t surprise me, Binance has always been a very trustworthy, noble exchange. Obviously this is great publicity for them but also it will go down as a tax write off so it’s win win for them. Regardless though kudos to Binance, also let’s pray for people there.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent events should make everyone withdraw all their coins to their own wallets on: February 27, 2022, 02:37:42 PM
The only time I ever have significant amounts of bitcoin on exchanges is when the price is somewhere close to a price I am happy to have limit sell orders. When we went sub 50k I took all coins off. There is always a level of risk but obviously the less time you have funds on exchanges the safer you are.

I do have fiat on exchanges now though with limit buy orders close to 30k. If there is ever a scam wick down I want to buy it. In this scenario ensure you use an exchange which requires 2FA for withdrawals.

1909  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will there be a world war three? on: February 25, 2022, 09:03:39 AM
At the moment the West will not send troops into direct combat. If Russia takes Ukraine but then decides to move to a NATO country then that is when we will have a proper war. I hope this doesn’t happen though because it will be good for nobody.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 11:25:47 PM
I'm reading many articles explaining that Russia shall be cut off from the SWIFT global interbank payments system, as a sanction in response to its invasion of Ukraine. That means it would be impossible to make bank transfers between Russia and most other countries.

I see this as an absolutely fantastic opportunity for BTC.
If you can"t use banks, just use BTC and be happy.

My fear is that Russia starts using bitcoin & then the West is aggressive towards bitcoin use in their countries. Obviously they can’t stop people using bitcoin but they can make it difficult for average joe. I don’t want to have to move country because I can’t sell bitcoin at a profit to buy a home etc because my bank blocks the winthdrawal from the exchange.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be banned in the EU starting from 2025 if ... on: February 24, 2022, 11:07:56 PM
I don’t think this is going to happen. Strict regulation is possible but outright bans, no, not likely imo. Too many people are invested in bitcoin & governments like taxing people on their profits of it. I don’t see a hitcoin ban happening in the west, no way.
1912  Other / Off-topic / Re: The eyes and the screen. on: February 22, 2022, 09:38:40 PM
My screen time is way too high. I really should do something about it, I always have good intentions but never back them up with actions. My eyesight isn’t great any way so I really should try harder to limit my screen time.
1913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: February 20, 2022, 06:50:20 PM
Bukele is a pioneer & will go down in the history books as a hero to his people. He’s made a massive decision & it’ll benefit his people massively. Their GDP is already up over 10% since they adopted bitcoin as legal tender. When he did so it was a massive step & El Salvador is the first of many. We will see dozens of nations follow his lead over the next decade or so. Strap up & buckle in, it’s going to be a hell of a ride.
1914  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which social platform do you prefer? on: February 20, 2022, 03:05:58 PM
I used to use Facebook a lot & I’ve also been fond of Instagram. Now though as I have got a little older my favourite social media platform is Twitter but I mostly use it with an anon bitcoin related account for news & to follow bitcoin accounts. Twitter is the best place for breaking news in my opinion.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend? on: February 20, 2022, 02:42:02 PM
It’s like anything, you can get lucky if you invest in the right one & make huge gains. All likelihood though is you’ll pick the wrong one to invest in & lose money. If you feel like taking a risk & must invest in meme coins don’t invest more than you can afford to lose.
1916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what gives Bitcoin it value? on: February 20, 2022, 01:59:02 PM
All about supply & demand, the world financial system is on its knees. Bitcoin is a deflationary asset, the supply of new coins mined halves every 4 years. Fiat is inflationary as we all know & it’s only getting worse. Bitcoin is going to eat up peoples investment money. Pensions, savings, everything, people will migrate to bitcoin. Bitcoin is going to play a massive part in the future of finance.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUD seems to be majorly targeted towards well perfoming assets like Bitcoin. on: February 20, 2022, 01:12:34 PM
FUD will always be here for bitcoin but it’s easy for anybody with half a brain to ignore it. I mean who cares about ‘the energy’. I use FUD induced dumps as an opportunity to buy cheap coin & you should too. Mainstream media & the status quo will always try to shit on bitcoin but it’s easy to use their nonsense as a good buying opportunity. Bitcoin is unstoppable, they will all accept that soon.
1918  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the last movie you watched? on: February 18, 2022, 12:38:15 PM
I’m going to watch the latest Texas Chainsaw movie on Netflix today. I know there are loads of versions of this movie but there is yet another remake which has only dropped on UK Netflix today. I’m going to give it a go, anybody seen it yet?
1919  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will there be a world war three? on: February 18, 2022, 10:37:35 AM
If there was to be a WW3 it’d be catastrophic for lives lost but also the world economy. As it stands I don’t think it will escalate to get that far. To be honest everything coming out of Russia & Ukraine suggests there won’t be a war. Western media & politicians seem desperate for a war though.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price once goes into consolidation in a critical area where speculator on: February 18, 2022, 10:35:35 AM
Peter Schiff is a well known troll. I wouldn't be surprised if he was in fact a bitcoin whale, I think he just enjoys trolling. His son Spencer publicly states his love of bitcoin, it might be a good cop, bad cop play they have going on.
As for the bitcoin price we are currently touching support. If we break under $40,000 convincingly then we could be confirmed as entering a bear market. $69,000 looks like the top so we could go as low as $25,000 before we hit the next halvening & then begin the next bull market & reach new ath in late 2024.
