Programming isn't a popularity contest. Exploration of new devices and implementations can only help cryptocurrency. If you want to ignore a post, you can. If the majority find it has no value, it will naturally fall to the bottom of this section and never be seen again. The forum platform works perfectly fine and there isn't any reason to bring another layer of complexity to this system which is not broken.
Unless I'm completely blind, where is the option to ignore entire threads. I would gladly go through and self-regulate what I see. Give me that option and I'd be happy. I haven't been around forever, but I can tell you that this subforum went to shit right around the time feathercoin hit. It was all downhill from there.

edit: I have a proposal for all the crapcoin announcements. Make them polls instead. If the are downvoted by the poll, they have to be deleted.
Which is pretty much what I said in the OP. I wish we could just implement this right now and clean up this subforum.

This is just a post to say to those who said, "pretty sure this week is the last of the crapcoins" or "it's already dying out"... You sure about that? Looks like we're still being hit with shit coins that take away from solidarity of the community. (Not that angry... just thought it was fitting)

Bump.
Reward is still up for grabs. Come and mine with us! We will put up another bounty for the second block if the first block is found by this weekend.

Thanks, guys.
Block reward still up for grabs. Throw a card at it and test your luck!

I always wanted to try this, or even the pci-e risers for servers. I'm surprised with all the need for adding as many cards to a board that nobody has engineered a cheap solution that has like 16 ports. I've seen the rackmount pci-e servers for GPU processing, but they are redonkulous expensive.

more drugs, assassinations, murders and other crimes were facilitated through the exchange of the USD than any other currency, it didn't seem to taint the dollar at all...
lol... you said taint.

I'll just go on record as saying if anyone wants to send 2000LTC my way, I promise I will graciously accept it. Who's first

Thanks, Badman!
Those of you that got on today up until this post will receive 0% fees.
Good luck to everyone looking for that first block!

Bump
Block finder's fee bumped up to 20LTC. Come and claim it!
|
|
|
Myspace was first, facebook improved on the idea. so this would support LTC being the best.
Actually, Friendster was before both of them...

|

How do you get 395kh/s? I can get 360 before temperature goes above 70 degrees.
70 is still pretty cool in comparison to what people run their cards at. I don't start getting uncomfortable until I'm above 80, and even then people have run cards up to 100... though that's just crazy.

how much is 10% Discount?
You want a math lesson? No, we want a price. 10% discount on Ebay lowest price, 10% discount on Newegg retail, 10% on what?

Isn't the fact that he has the word ASIC in his name proof enough?

Now with 3000% more stratum!
Stratum is now up and running on port 3333. The pool is chugging along smoothly. We're still looking for that first block. Come claim the reward for finding it!

Just delete the index.html file in the root of the web directory. It's not needed, and the index.php file will automatically be picked up as the default.

The brass tax: My buddy and I started LTC pool, and things are looking pretty darn good. We are experiencing extremely low rejects and stales (less than 1/2 percent). Although we haven't found a block yet, we are currently mining away with our combined 2.5-3MH/s. We would love for some people to throw a rig or two at it to help us find our first block. The person who finds the first block will receive a 15LTC 20LTC reward, paid from our personal wallets. We offer:- 1% fee for standard members, 0% for life for the first 5 people to sign up and mine with us
- PPLNS
- LP on port 8344 / Stratum on port 3333 (difficulty bug patched)
- Instant payouts
- Automatic payouts with a 1LTC minimum
- More to come!
It's pretty cookie cutter right now, but I'd like to make the pool to stand out to it's members. Some things that we plan to do are:- Look at how feasible it would be to do a prize system, or even a weekly jackpot system of sorts, much like TripleMining.com does. If the jackpot isn't won, the prize increases for the next week. This would give some of the little guys a chance at a decent payout(pool ops excluded).
- Writing or modifying existing code so that in the future, there will be a block finder reward. Nothing huge, but a little something extra. Maybe 2-5LTC to the person that finds the block. Pool OPs would be excluded for this reward, and in the case of a pool OP winning, the reward would go into the jackpot.
- Research Cloudflare for DDOS protection. At this stage I'm not worried about it, as I have not released the pool name or address publicly. If SHTF, I'll make the necessary arrangements.
- Change the B&W look of mmcFE to something more appealing, though this is just a cosmetic change that won't affect the actual performance of the pool.
Implement stratum and VARDIFF. (Stratum implemented on June 8, 2013)

Bump for the sake of not getting lost in a sea of crapcoin posts.

I told Simran off once on Bitcointalk. I PM'd him the next day and apologized. Honestly... what were you doing when you were his age? I was chasing tail and getting drunk. He's writing code and supporting the community... even if he's a little brash sometimes.
He used to get under my skin, but he's a cool kid. Simran's ok in my book, even though that doesn't count for much.
