1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Merge - Vitalik memes and lots of expectation on: September 02, 2022, 10:13:55 AM
This is the viral meme regarding Vitalik right now. I don't know if it's appropriate to post it here (if not I will delete it in a few hours), but I just shared it.

I just had a good laugh on the Vitalik meme, Lol.

I don't have that much ETH to be honest, so I will be on the fence on this one. Of course I know that there will be a big event, but I'm not going to get involved myself. If I can get airdrop because of the fork then so be it, if not then I'm cool.

So yeah, probably I would say that I don't care about the upcoming event, nor will be interested to see if others will make money riding on the hype or not.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 02, 2022, 09:47:42 AM
Ramirez has a slight advantage in height, although it might be just the shoes that he is wearing.

Even if Ramirez is taller, I think Bivol can offset it with his hand speed and his great footwork.

For reference: Bivol @ 6 ft | Ramirez @ 6'2 ft

Not that much. I refer to some of Bivol's previous opponents and I saw he was once against a 6'3 ft and he won.

Although we can't compare the strengths of each of their previous opponents, we can conclude that height shouldn't be an advantage or disadvantage in this fight between Dmitry Bivol and Zurdo Ramirez. But on the humor side, possibly that Ramirez's shoes make him so much taller in that pic lol.
Yeah, but Ramirez seems to be the natural taller, and it looks like he can still go up one more weight class because his frame is too big for even a weight class of 175 lbs.

But if Bivol is used to fighting bigger and taller fighter, then it won't be a problem for him. He would know how to used his other tools like his speed and his fast hands. Like what he shows in the Canelo fight, his jab and his combinations really put Canelo off-balance and if he decided to fight back, Bivol will be ready for his counter.
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 08:51:29 AM
Just get a separate phone, put a password on it, and then simply hide to places that your wife will not find it. And then play when she is out doing groceries or with her friends. Just a question on when you want to scratch that itch, gonna be tough. Either you go to the bathroom, turn the faucet on or just mute your phone and play like every 5-10 minutes. And hopefully she doesn't seems that something is odd on you going to the bathroom more often.  Grin

https://watcher.guru/news/bitcoin-casino-founders-slapped-with-a-400m-lawsuit?c=566

As a long time Stake user this makes me feel concerned, I'll be withdrawing all of my funds and going elsewhere!
It's gonna be interesting how things will turn out in this case. It seems that is is like "he said, she said" paradigm. Only the court and the evidences will tell who is lying and how is not and who is liable. But I doubt that the court is going to grant that $400 million. It might be even lower if he accuser will win this case.

How are you concern? if you are a investors, maybe, but for a player? as long as they can pay everything up front and for sure they have huge bankroll that can cover their players whether whales or small one.
1965  Economy / Speculation / Re: All Eyes On Bitcoin’s Monthly Close on: September 02, 2022, 07:45:23 AM
And it seems we close the month at $20,100? That price though is still uncertain, chances are we might go down again and hit another lower low? I started this year with a bearish perspective just like the majority of us.

So we have the last quarter to proved otherwise, but I highly doubt that we will go up again. Most likely this will be the price for this year around that numbers and worst case is that we will go lower that $17,500.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 02, 2022, 06:40:43 AM
Jazz - Cavs trade came out of nowhere. It's just one of those instances where speculations in traditional and social media becomes just noise hehe.
Yes, surprised to see this trade, I thought that Mitchell will go to the Knicks but I guess the offer was not the same as what the Cavs are willing specially with the draft picks.

It may not be that ideal since Mitchell still has many years ahead of him but this also gives Jazz management a lot of wiggle room. They can still use those future draft picks as trading piece or maybe they plan to use it for themselves because they already have some prospects for the next three years. It would be nice if they could emulate what Warriors did.
For sure they will build around those future draft picks, but they will have to find those gems in the next lottery class that they can say they made the right choice to move out Donovan Mitchell. It boils down as to how the management will build their teams this time and hopefully the blue print is there, just like what the Warriors did.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the school lessons of gambling addiction? on: September 01, 2022, 10:24:31 AM
I live in a country where Gambling is officially banned, but it doesn't stop the online illegal casino to operate. Most of the people in here is quite conservative so the parent always teach their kids that Gambling is bad, and if some kids are caught gambling the parent will make an extreme measure to make sure the kid stop, like take their phone for couple of months and even beating them. Now, I am not saying that you should beat your kid because their gambling, but I think it's easier for parent to prevent their kids from gambling rather than forwarding those responsibilities to school.
Yes, same here where I live, gambling is illegal so anyone caught will be punish. But I don't think that it should be teach in school. It's already illegal so for sure kids now that they are not allow to gamble. And for those who are caught, for sure the parents are affected and they should disciple their kids and it's really up to them to teach them the bad effects of gambling and that they shouldn't deal with it. Yeah, perhaps the parents will do that kind of punishment like taking the phone and grounding them. But still nothing beats a lesson fomr the parent themselves.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 01, 2022, 09:37:22 AM
The odds speaks it all. This isn't really an exciting match. Although an upset is always a possibility in the sport of boxing, I cannot see how Conceicao would manage to defeat Shakur. Robson doesn't have the power to easily knockout Shakur. He doesn't have that strong haymaker that could suddenly turn the tide in his favor. Stevenson on the other hand is very much at his career's peak, very young and quick. And although he isn't a knockout artist either, he could easily outpoint Robson.
That's his skills, he moves quick and he is not a knockout artist so he will be able to conserve his energy well. He is more like a technical fighter, knows how and when to attack, so this one should be another walk in the park fight.  Smiley

That's likely going to happen but we should refrain from using that term as we would be underestimating Robson that much if we say that this fight would be a piece of cake for Shakur, even if we know that Shakur truly has the odds in his side.

Surely Shakur himself knows that he ain't the KO artist type but it's quite certain that he will pursue other ways to bring the fight into his favor (fairly) and improve his scores as the fight likely ends in a decision.

very high possibility that shakur will win on this fight. however, if you will bet on him right now, the odds is just like 1.05x, which is not worth if you are betting small. no other betting lines yet are available. maybe, couple of weeks from now, bookies will open more betting lines for this match, like the winning method and if the fight will go the distance. i guess, those betting lines are better to put your money into and try your luck.

Right now is not the best time to place a bet for this fight, it's still too early. I reckon it would be more suitable to bet somewhere like 48 hours before the fight starts and I usually do that but if the odds aren't that tempting to see then I think I'll pass on this fight but I will watch this of course, it's great to see younger boxers making their way to be known in the industry.
Unless you are a fan of Robson, then it's better to place a bet on him ML as the odds are very attractive.

But if you are a Shakur fan, yes, I do agree, it's better to wait for the fight to get close. For sure there will be a lot of betting options for us, like by per round, or round range.

Although when we look a the schedule of this fight, it's 3 weeks from now and for sure the hype is also building specially that this fight is going to happen on Shakur's hometown.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana(SOL) price could reach an average of $60 in 2023 ???? on: September 01, 2022, 09:13:18 AM
Solana is a relatively new project when compared to the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Solana flew under the radar for years, then rallied in this year.

Does Solana price could reach an average of $60 in 2023 Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh
Hard to see where the price one year from now, currently it is on the $30.00 range. So there are a lot of money needed to be like $60 in 2023. And we are definitely in the bear market still next year. My guestimate is that we are not going to get to that price next year, so it's better to expect the unexpected.

And if you are a investor, maybe the best approach is to continue to accumulate as much as you can in the bear market. It's last all time high is $260.00. So chances are it can grow bigger than then in 2024-2025 bull run.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2022, 08:48:18 AM
If AD avoids any major injury this season, I believe the Lakers could successfully run this roster again next season.

That's right, actually even if Westbrook were struggling last season but as long as AD were healthy, most likely Lakers will still have a shot in the NBA finals. With Lebron and AD leading the team, we've seen that before already when they won a championship.

Next season is going to be the last chance of this tamdem I believe, if they will still fail, most likely a trade is gonna happen.
The question right now is what are the chances that AD will not get injured? Because after the title that he got in the Bubble, he has been very inconsistent and unreliable because of injuries. He's very fragile that you can't rely on him. I'll just hope for him to be healthy all throughout the season and in the playoffs but will not be surprised if he will get injured because it is what is happening to him for the last 2 seasons.

The chances of the Lakers winning a title will be higher if AD will not get injured and Westbrook will improve and adjust. I believe that Lebron can still win a title with the Lakers. Just give him good teammates that will help him. I agree that this upcoming season will be the last chance not only for AD but also for Westbrook and if they still fail then they will be traded.

But that always has been a problem with AD ever since he came to the league. He is very talented but his availability is limited because of injury. Maybe there is something wrong with his physical training or something, but they have to do something about it. He is still very young so he should not be easily injured like this. Westbrook can have chemistry with AD and Lebron if they can play together more and that all relies on AD not getting injured.
Probably its AD genetic make up, or his body can't really hold that's why he is always injured. Nevertheless he has one solid season for the Lakers during the time they won the championship in the bubble and hopefully they can replicate it.

Watching some Pat Bev's interview and it's a good one, his relationship with Lebron, his defense with Westbrook and others. You can check it out here, interesting as he is now a Lakers and what he can add and bring to the table for the team.

1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 01, 2022, 08:29:43 AM
Probably a pro-debut  Grin.  I am looking for a reply from people who don't want an exhibition fight like this but it looks like I can't find one  Cheesy.  It looks like they already accepted the fact that boxing is not only a sport but more a business thing.  I like watching Silva in his MMA moments, but I wonder if he can fare enough with boxing.  So I am thinking of exhausted Silva after round 4.
Unlike before, it's all about winning. Now, they are coming in because of the mountain of money involved in it. I still admire boxers who are putting a lot of effort into their body and training. Like Pacquiao for example, but there will always be that thought of most of the time it's about money. It was stained by this kind of bout so it should not be seriously taken.
Definitely! But still, it is interesting to watch a fight like this, especially when a person involved had made a dominating fighter impression on our minds.
As a fan of Silva yes, I would love to watch it too. Who would not want to watch a kid (Jake Paul) being beaten by a 47-year-old? Silva will have a lot of support from those who want to shut down this kind of guy.
You already fall for the hype, Lol, because that is the same tactic that Floyd uses, everyone wanted to see his fight and wanted to see him being knockout like by Manny, but he didn't happen.

So maybe the same mindset here, Silva is legendary during his prime he just toys with the best middleweight MMA fighter. And he has a successful boxing career if I'm not mistaken. So we want him to give Jake Paul a lesson not to mess with a legend. But I doubt that it will happen, seems this could be rig and Paul hands is going to be raised as the winner.

Another familiar thing with Nick,  US Open: Nick Kyrgios complains of fan smoking marijuana during his second-round win.

Quote
In the second set Kyrgios, who is facing legal action from a fan he said was "drunk out of her mind" at Wimbledon, said a member of the New York crowd was smoking marijuana.

The 27-year-old swore when explaining that to the umpire and added that it could harm players who suffered from asthma, as he does.

"People don't know I'm a heavy asthmatic," said Kyrgios after the match.

"When I'm running side to side, I'm struggling to breathe, [it's] probably not something I want to be breathing in between points."

As play resumed, the umpire asked spectators to "refrain from smoking around the court".

And so Felix AA is out in the 3rd round, lost in 3 sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to Jack Draper. Medvedev is also getting through the next round. The match is going to be interesting now.

@cryptofrka  - yes, it's going to be interesting how the two Croats are going to play because they are facing tough opponents. Maybe a over bet is not that bad as a parlay.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run and Bear Market on: August 31, 2022, 12:16:07 PM
This is a simple question, When this bearish market end and Bull run start.
Thanks
I think no one can say when bear market ends, and no one can give you an exact date of the bullrun because when bear market ends thats the start of bull run. There is always a bull and bear season because crypto is always depend on supply and demand but it is really hard to predict the exact date that is why many investor defind crypto as a very challenging investment.
Again, we are very near the next block halving, it's just barely 2 years from now. So that is the catalyst for the next bull run as per our history. I say near because time flies very fast, were already at the end of this year and we will enter the last quarter tomorrow. So it's not just a matter of when is the next bull run, the question is are you prepared for it? Do we have enough savings on our wallet to make like x10 profit or higher in 2023-2024? So we better to continue stacking sats, just saying.
1974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is about to have its biggest monthly gain since October 2021. on: August 31, 2022, 11:35:24 AM
After the start of a much-needed bullish relief this week, bitcoin and crypto are inching closer to getting the best monthly gain since October of 2021when we had the release of the first Futures ETF Bitcoin in the US. That's indeed some much-needed and appreciated relief we are getting right now after months of constant extreme fear and red candles.
Too much for this first futures Bitcoin ETF in the US. There is no price increased, still the same $25k bound and then it won't hard again to $20k'ish. Just another reminder that even if there is good news, if we are in a bear market, no amount of news will turn the tide.

How long we will continue to rally or how sustainable this rally is, is quite debate-able but we should just get a bit happy for the moment now, we don't get such times always in crypto and especially after the years past few months. Also, we are not having any significant planned economic event next month as there is no FOMC to raise rates. So we may have some space left on this rally…
It's obvious that there is no rally that will sustained it, hopefully the price target is $30k, but we were stop on track to $25k. There is still the war and then the inflation rate in the US continue to soar, and dollar losing it's value against local currencies.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 31, 2022, 09:31:30 AM
So why not just trade Mitchell for Westbrook? isn't it possible?

I guess both are making at least $30 million per year, Westbrook probably has a higher salary than Mitchell, but Jazz are seeing Westbrook could bring the team to the championship, maybe they'll ask for the Lakers to trade Mitchell for him. I'm not so familiar with the trade rules, but is my thinking make sense?
I don't think the Jazz want just plain Westbrook on the offer. They are rebuilding and they want young players to be polished just like what they did with Gobert and Mitchell. If not young players that are in the league then future drafts will suffice, that's why a direct trade between Jazz and Lakers won't happen just like that.
They may split something from the Knicks that is why a three-way trade may happen. But these are all still rumors, we won't know what could happen until it's finalized although the Knicks do badly want Mitchell on their roster.
I guess so, it will not be a 1:1 trade that is gonna happen here. I'm happy if this trade will happen, at least these two players can again prove themselves in a new team. Mitchell going to the Knicks, it will give the team a big lift as he is really a superstar, it's just that in the playoffs he does not excel well to impact the team, hopefully with a new team he will.

Maybe yes or maybe he really a choke type of player, though the idea of being traded to Knicks is something that might give him a shot

in carrying the team to chase for the title, it's a good move for the Knicks if they are trying to bring this franchise to a winning or a title contender

team, Mitchell is a great addition. Just let Mitchell lead their offense and use all the help from his teammates in winning a game.

Everything will be announced in case there're changes that may take place, still quiet about this trade and all are just rumors.

Winning a championship with Mitchell, that's a hard task IMO. Maybe the best thing that will happen to the Nets is they will improve and will be in the playoffs not experiencing a 1st round exit again. Also, Randle himself is a big choker as well, so that's another problem the team has to fixed.
And that is why the Jazz are willing to trade Mitchell to the next and maybe Knicks is willing to accept because they need improvement. However, RJ has been sign to an extension and perhaps they need another team to make the trade and acquire Mitchell. Maybe it will be the Lakers, but who will it be? Westbrook has a huge contract as well so not sure if them are willing because by this time he should be dealt already. Randle will have to improved, he should played like 2 season ago wherein he carry the team to the playoffs but they choke against Atlanta. And then we see him game going down last season.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2022, 09:07:52 AM
Jake Paul has announced his next opponent is Anderson Silva. I think Jake might have but off a little more than he can chew this time. Sure, Silva is damn near 50 years old, but he’s got power that Jake hasn’t seen before. I like this fight. I’d rather have seen him fight Andrew Tate, but this was unexpected and a nice surprise.
Not surprised to see that the Paul brothers still have this type of fight. Well, just another buck making match for them and as well as for Anderson.
The match is said to happen by October, no odds yet for this match on stake but most likely we'll see when we go near to the match date.

Right, that's what they basically do right now in boxing/MMA, exhibition fights with former champions and then see how much money they can make it. Not sure how much guarantee money is for Silva, but I will speculate that it could be in the millions and then Jake Paul taking the lionshare of it. For sure there are still fans that is willing to go to live gate and watch it or buy PPV. So in any case, it's a win win. However, for pure boxing fans, not sure if they will bet on it or want to watch this kind of exhibition matches.
It's a money making business so everyone shouldn't be shock by the Paul brothers. They shock the internet and now they are conquering exhibitions matches will huge revenues in the millions. so they will continue to do it as long as fans are willing to buy.

But as you have said, pure boxing fans doesn't like the idea of this kind of matches. Might be good in the pandemic, when Tyson and Roy Jones Jr fought for pure entertainment and so called money being raised for charity. But after that, it's all business, Floyd and the Paul brothers.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 31, 2022, 08:43:10 AM
What a nice fight, it's rare to see both fighters with 0 losses fighting together in a championship bout. This is hard to predict and with the venue of their fight, obviously, it's huge money involved here. With the strategy of Bivol to beat his opponent, you won't really imagine how he will gonna lost in this fight, only if Ramirez comes with his own surprising technique as well if he wants to beat him. This fight will likely end in a decision since both figthers will be so careful keeping their clean records.
But I would say that it's better if we will see a toe to toe fight and in the end there will be a knock out. Two fighters with 0 losses also you may question the quality of opponents that Ramirez has as compare to Bivol who just destroyed a prime Canelo. And we say that all of Ramirez win can be compare to Canelo. So someone's 0 will be taken, and I will predict that Ramirez might suffer his first lost against the Russian. Besides, the odds will be on Bivol's favor here, just saying how sport bookies value him in this fight.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: August 30, 2022, 01:36:37 PM
Ok here is what Robert Garcia has to say about Joshua's breakdown:

Quote
“Joshua was mentally defeated since round ten or eleven," García told Izquierdazo. “Round ten was a big one for Usyk. That changed the whole fight, and mentally we were defeated. At that point, we were relying on a good shot or something like that, because Anthony is a hard puncher, and one shot can change a fight. That is what we were hoping for, one shot, because he (AJ) was dominated at that point of the fight."

https://www.boxingscene.com/robert-garcia-feels-joshua-mentally-defeated-tenth-usyk-rematch--168622

His point is that when AJ had a very good round in round 9, but he wasn't able to finished Usyk that time with that body shot.

And then Usyk, the fighter that he is, wanted to erase round 9, simply came back in round 10 and after that, it seems that Joshua is spent already and tired and yeah maybe mentally defeated and asking how can he can't finished him in the previous round and then make a huge comeback? Questioning himself, but again, Usyk is far more superior than him so 9 out of 10 fights, Usyk will beat him.
Garcia did try his best to rally his boy in the corner, but I would say that it is not enough though, it really took a lot on Joshua on round 9, but he wasn't able to sustain in the more crucial rounds. So he just faded away simple as that. No need to find an explanation as Usyk did dominate him. There is not even an uproar in the boxing fans because they knew that AJ really lost that fight. It's good that he is not going to retire and fight again, just need to fight guys that he can knock out so that his confidence will be restored.
1979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: August 30, 2022, 01:07:53 PM
Hard to speculate what will be the price at the end of the year, our lowest is $17k and we are just barely out of it with the current price. If we have like $34k right now or at least doubled the last lows then maybe we might say that we might not see the price go lower. On the other hand, we are just $20k and we still have the last quarter, so many things can happen. Maybe there could be a negative news pulling the price to $16k. So it's better just to prepared for the worst.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: August 30, 2022, 12:22:14 PM
this is like an amateur boxer fighting against professional lol .

but of course Butler will always keep chance with strong and heavy  punches  Grin

Butler still have 4 months for preparation , Maybe he will do everything in training to improve his capacity in facing greatest fighter of his time in His division .

Inoue will simple take this Belt for sure , Butler may have skills but not enough for this Japanese boxer that had already Shown his power over best asian fighter in the past , so  I believe that Butler is not the one who will beat Inoue but who truly knows?
boxer can make their opponent Down with lucky single punch.
yet nit until the fight is over , Butler will always chance to win

Hopefully this will be at least an entertaining fight, we all expect that it's just going to be a one-sided fight since we know how good and strong Inoue is, but this is an undisputed bout, it should be entertaining to watch. My prediction, Inoue by KO.
I think Butler has the pride here so he might go toe to toe with Inoue and see how he is going to hold against the power of Inoue. If he can stay then definitely it will be a entertaining fight. But if the power is too much for him, then Inoue by KO.

Not sure if an upset is going to happen, Butler is good but is it enough to take away Inoue's advantage? like the speed and a better chin and of course Inoue's power? don't think so. Inoue is the champion in bantam and the rest is chasing him because he is above them. We just have to look at the odds and see how bookmarkers never even give a chance for Butler with the almost 10:1 odds.
