2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: December 25, 2021, 03:05:27 PM
66 projects were named after SHIBA INU including two exchange ShibaSwap and Shibance.

Other than very few, none has got good volume. Just with a dog 🐶 why is this hype. Compared to the marketcap Shiba at present is constituting around 1.7% which is big from a memecoin. This kind of coins will surely disturb the market in the long term for different reasons.

This list of yours just proves again, that the crypto market is crazy and sometime i even think that we as the crypto space in general deserve that the traditional financial markets don't takes us seriously. All that meme-coin craze in the last few months showed the bad side of the crypto space again for me. People saw that Dogecoin was pumping because of the tweets of elon musk and then they started to copy that and made meme-coins themself. Shiba-inu was probably the most successful one of those copycats but all other second generation meme-coins are pretty dead already again and i am also sure that from your list only 1 or 2 will still be here in a year.
2002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: December 25, 2021, 11:25:30 AM
It is official by this week, I forgot to update here.
Cina decided to ban all foreign spectators in China.

It will be allowed only for mainland people with vaccines to watch the game and support the players.

Thats fine I believe the Beijing 2022 Winter Games are being boycotted (and very rightly so) by many other countries. China is acting like a child saying that they will only allow their own people to watch? Ha. Ok. The fact that China has commited a multitude of human rights violations (Genocide on Uyghurs and polical prisoners like Falon Gong, Human organ harvesting from said political prisoners and much more...)

I definitely will not be watching the games in China.

So many people only listen to only one TV news channel and accepted it as a fact when all the Muslims in the middle east actually appreciate what China had been doing to the Uyghurs for they funded the community well. The news TV where you heard that Uyghurs are being murdered is lying to you. They couldn't stand China becoming successful in business now they are undermining it.

If they are so cruel, why don't the world police strike at them but only boycott the olympics? That's a peony's way of saying we hate you.

I don't want to discuss to much politics in here but i would say that the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle here. I read that when the first chinese (han-chinese) people moved to uyghur territory a few decades ago because they simply wanted to live they, they were threatened and even attacked by the uyghurs for no reason. Then China sent a lot of police and military in that region and from that point on everything just got out of control. I do think though that those camps where innocent uyghurs are kept to re-educate them are of course not ok.
To the olympics: As far as i know only diplomats are boycotting the games and no athletes so far. So that is not that big of a deal for me.
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: top holders on: December 25, 2021, 11:19:58 AM
When finding a new coin, should the percentage the top holders earn influence your decision to buy in. for example if the top holders own > 50% ?

I do think that it is an important factor, how the coins are distributed among the holders. I mean most crypto projects claim to be decentralized but if a lot of coins or even the majority like in your example are in the hands of only few dozens of people for example then i would say that projects is pretty centralized and those few holders can basically control everything that happens with this projects. They can kill the price of it if they decide to sell off their holdings, if there is some kind of staking available for this project then the gap between them and the other holders will only become bigger and if there is also some sort of governance function implemented in the token then they can also completely dictate the course of the project.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 24, 2021, 07:31:11 PM

If in ligue 1 there is monaco, of course in the bundesliga there is dortmund who continue to sell their best players every year to other clubs, this is why so far it is very difficult for dortmund to be able to break the dominance of bayern munchen in the bundesliga, because every year they continue to fail to retain the best players there is, this season haalaand is one of the most influential players in dortmund and if haalaand goes to another club of course it is certain that dortmund will experience a slump in the remaining matches of this season.
oh, it turns out that is one of the reasons why Dortmund is always good at the beginning of the season and suffers a decline in performance in the middle of the season.
if you look at the situation, is Dortmund experiencing financial problems at the club? if this situation continues to be run by Dortmund, maybe they are just a place to develop players. but never tasted the advantage to enjoy the sweet treats of a good player from Dortmund.
So far I don't see if Dortmund have any financial problems, but they can't keep their star players, for example, let's see a few seasons ago, how easy it was for Dortmund to let a great player like Matt Hummels, Mario Gotze and Lewandowski, dortmund indeed did get a lot of money in terms of transfers but didn't that make Bayern Munich stronger, this season Haalaand also began to be often rumored to be bought by Bayern Munich and if that happened Of course the duo Lewandowski and Haaland would have had very danger in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund made a lot of money with the transfer of players like Dembele to Barcelona or Sancho to Manchester United so they should be doing pretty well financially. The good thing is that the Dortmund officials are acting very cautiously and don't just throw around their money like they do at Real Madrid (900 Million € debts) and Barcelona (1,35 Billion € debts) but that is not the reason why they always lose their best players to other clubs. The reason is that they are simply not a Tier 1 club in europe, so their best players always want to leave the club to go to Bayern Munich, the top english clubs or to Real or Barca.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP for 2025 on: December 24, 2021, 07:25:22 PM
I know that so many people don't like XRP for some reasons but if you do this question is for you, what do you think about the future of XRP? I'm planning to buy some and hold for long time, is this a good plan or a bad one? How do you see the lawsuit affecting XRP on long term?

I am not that much into XRP therefore i can't really tell you what is going there at the moment or how their roadmap looks like for the next two years and i also don't know about that lawsuit that you mentioned, but if you are a fan of XRP and want to invest into it and you also want to hold them for a long time then i think you can do that. If the overall crypto market keeps growing then i don't see a reason why XRP would not also grow. There will definitely be other projects out there that will massively outperform XRP in that time frame but the problem is we don't know what projects that are so i think you can invest into XRP.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: December 24, 2021, 11:35:23 AM
Odds for the Oscar Awards 2022 are presently now available in different sportsbooks. However, the nominations have not yet been made. It might be safer to bet after the no nomination of each contestant for each category. Some movies, actors and directors listed might not be nominated.

Date of announcement of nominees will be on February 8, 2022.

I am actually surprised, that you can bet on the outcome of the Oscar Awards to be honest. I mean there are at least 20 people at the moment i would guess that already know who will win. So those guys of the jury could just go and place a huge bet here. Or they could just tell someone that is not related to them who will win and let them bet for them and then split the rewards 50/50 because then it is not so obvious. Looking at the nominated pictures i have to admit that i have not heard of even one of them except dune, which is a remake of the old movie i guess, because i have not been to a cinema for like 2 years because of covid.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When bear market? on: December 24, 2021, 11:29:02 AM
Well after the bear market of late 2020 until May of this year we have already seen two phases of falling courses, but i would not call these a real bear market yet i would call them a phase of correction. I also don't think that we necessarily have to wintess another bear market like we did back in 2018 with falling prices for 2 years straight an a lot of projects being down like 90% of its ATH from back in January 2018. I would consider the crypto market still as very new and it still has a lot of room to grow in comparison to other more traditional financial markets and i also think the whole crypto scene is more and more becoming main stream.
2008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 23, 2021, 02:20:09 PM
But it is obvious that Dortmund won't be able to keep him after the end of this season. Dortmund need him definitely. But it won't be easy for them to keep a great striker like him here for a longer time.

The poker has already begun. According to several media reports, Dortmund seems to be near about a commitment of Karim Adeyemi of Salzburg. Apparently, it is only about the amount of the transfer fee. Adeyemi is certainly talented enough to replace Haaland. For the transfer fee of Haaland, Dortmund could then probably make a second striker transfer.

I also read yesterday that Dortmund is willing to double Haalands salary if he agrees to stay in Dortmund for another year or two after this season, but i strongly doubt that this makes him stay because i think he does not see a lot of perspective at the moment the way that Dortmund is playing. If they are really doubling the salary of Haaland then i would guess that would the other players in the squad also extremely unhappy Haaland would then get around 16 Million € per year which is more than any other player at Dortmund. It's better two have a squad of good and happy players then a squad of one superstar and the rest of the team feels neglected.
2009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: December 23, 2021, 11:49:08 AM
Dear fellow users,

Let me explain the situation im in with Stake.com,
I am a recovering gambling addict with an account at Stake due to problem gambling.

This account has been closed for a long time and they still kept spamming me with promotional and bonus emails, even though they were fully aware of my problems.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.

Unfortunately Stake is not taking any responsibility regarding my issue and will blame me for their mistakes.

I hope there is someone noticing the pain Stake is causing to some of the problem gamblers out there, and I still hope Stake will solve this issue with me.

Well i don't think that Stake.com had bad intentions there. I think they just still had you on the list of people that receive their newsletter and other promotional e-mails. If you have contacted them in order to take you from that list and they failed to do so for whatever reason that is a shame and of course very unfortunate for you when you are trying to avoid falling back into your gambling habits. I think it is just very hard to prove that they did this on purpose, you would need to have an insider that knows about this stuff in order to prove this. I mean i would make sense though because they know that you have addiction and therefore they can make a lot of money with you, but again i doubt that they are that evil.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 23, 2021, 11:45:35 AM
I am not talking about crap coins or coins "du jour" that are hyped today but seem to fade as time goes on like chainlink seems to have done. So what legit coins do you see blossoming in the future long term? i am interested in investing in them. ill add another question on top of this one, is matic and solana hype coins today that hot today but not tommorow?

Just because the projects are not as big as Ethereum or Bitcoin it doesn't mean that they are not legit, of course when there is a bear market coming then small cap and newer projects usually always suffer a lot more than BTC or ETH or the other big ones. Still i would not invest into ETH or BTC at the moment because i always have a problem to invest into a project where other people already made a x1000 with it or in the case of bitcoin even more. I just think that the room for another x10 or so is just not there anymore. I think another project that is legit and could become as big as Solana and Cardano and so on could be Radix. The mainnet is already running and there are already other projects running that are developing apps and dexes on Radix.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 22, 2021, 06:55:38 PM
I've just read that Latifi has been receiving death threats after the Abu Dhabi debacle. This is depressing, and yet utterly inevitable. Do people really think he did it on purpose? If not, then why attack? I can understand them being angry and casting around for someone to blame, and whilst it's totally unacceptable to make death threats to anyone, I don't understand why they're targeting Latifi, and not Masi, who orchestrated the whole thing.

I think I read an article stating that getting Russel to Mercedes was a form of a risk on their part. Instead of being a wingman to Hamilton, Russel might actually compete against Hamilton in the next season. I just really hope that it does not become Nico Rosberg part 2 where their friendship got ruined by being too competitive on the scene.

I don't think that will happen, at least certainly not initally. Put Russell and Hamilton in the same car, and Hamilton will win every time. But Russell is still young, and can improve. There's only one person on the grid at the moment who could compete with Hamilton in the same car... Verstappen. But I'd still say Hamilton is ahead on consistency, tyre-management, and big-picture thinking (i.e. back out when needed in order to secure second place, instead of making kamikaze lunges that can result in 0 points). But Lewis and Max are a long way ahead of everyone else. As for best of the rest, who knows? But it would be good to see Alonso in a competitive car again.

It is very sad that Latifi has to go through stuff like that now but honestly it is not really that surprising to me. I would guess that there are thousands of hardcore Hamilton and/or Mercedes fans around the world that were completely shocked and angry that hamilton lost his 8th chamionship title in the very last round of the very last grand prix. From those thousands of hardcore fans you always have a few people that are crazy and going way to far with their loyalty. I don't really think though that Latifi is really in danger or something like that. I think that this were probably just some drunk dude that posted weird stuff.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we avoid scams in blockchain? on: December 22, 2021, 06:47:29 PM
Hello everyone, I'm interested in the issue of checking projects and tokens.

There are many projects and each shows users big plans and ambitions. But as practice shows, not all projects keep their word and people often lose money by investing in the wrong project.

Recently I came across a project that was created to solve this problem - CheckDot. They have a nice strategy for checking and verifying projects, which seems to be useful.

What do you think about this problem and what solutions do you see?

First of all i think it is necessary to say, that you can never avoid all scams 100%, even if you are doing your research as thoroughly as possible and everything looks great it can still be a scam in the end, a very well made scam then. Of course there are some things that you can do to minimize the risk that you are investing into a scammer project. First of all i would check the team, if they are completely anonymous then this would be a big red flag for me. If they are posting real pictures of themselves make a google reverse image search to check if those are real pictures or if they were just taken from the internet. Also checked linkedin for the track record of the developers.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 22, 2021, 10:11:55 AM
If we compare PSG, Manchester United or Manchester City, Chelsea has the least number of star players. Moreover, the pace of Chelsea's game has slowed down a bit now. In January, Chelsea's management should appoint some experienced players to the team. Their defense is strong enough, but forward lineup needs some improvement.
when compared to other big teams, yes chelsea only have very few star players however When a team has a good depth of squad  and team mentality that has been formed, I think big names or star player are not a big deal. and bringing in star players is not always the solution, some players or teams actually need time to adapt, seeing the condition of their squad at the time I think they are still able to compete in the EPL and UCL at the same time.

I totally agree, that just because you have the most big names in your team does not automatically make you the strongest team, it can actually be the complete opposite. Just look at PSG for example, they now have Mbappe, Neymar and Messi as their attackers, i would say that this is probably the best offense that you can have, but still i think that PSG is not better than last year, they are probably worse. One reason for that is, that they now have 3 players that are doing absolutely nothing to support the team while in defense. For me PSG is a bad example for a club that has unlimited amount of money. ManCity does it way better, they have a real team.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this what we have become? Bitcoin is Shiba`s Altcoin now?! on: December 22, 2021, 10:06:33 AM
Came by this post on Twitter by the so claimed shiba founder.

I dont know if i should laugh or to cry...

It is just a blatant shill of a team member or even the head of a meme-coin so it's not really surprising that he uses exaggeration in order to promote his useless coin. I also don't call him developer because he developed nothing he just created a ERC-20 or BSC token and filled out a website template with some text and that was pretty much it. I don't think that anyone that is in the crypto space for longer than a few months will take a promotion post like this serious. It's pretty sad that this guy is filthy rich now just because he created another useless meme-token with not much effort while a lot of other project devs that tried to create something new failed because of missing funds.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 21, 2021, 08:45:40 PM
These publicity matches are always hard to analyse beforehand, but looking at the results here most of us seem to go with Mike Tyson. Not sure if this match is going to be gigged. Logan Paul is in it for publicity and fame. Even if he loses he will have achieved that. Mike Tyson is more in it for the money and with all his experience he will not give up easily.  Honestly I wish we could have seen Mike Tyson to fight these YouTubers during his prime time. All the fights would have ended in a knockout, would have been hilarious.

I think everyone knows that his is a pr-stunt and not much else and i usually don't watch stuff like that but because it's mike tyson i make an exception here, which i already did for the Tyson Roy Jones Jr. fight even though i can't Logan Paul and everything that he is doing and releasing. In the eighties i was still to young to watch a fight of Mike Tyson live so i take the chance now even though i am totally aware that this has not much to do with a real fight of Mike Tyson when he was in his prime. I am not that sure, if a knockdown or even a knockout will happen because i think they will use bigger and softer gloves again, which Tyson already did in the Roy Jones fight.
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: December 21, 2021, 07:39:32 PM
I'm sure there are many of you participating in staking coins I have a question for you guys, I have this friend who built doge coin mining farm to get some coins and stake them the question is how good is staking? How much are you making in staking every month? I'm not seeing people talking about their staking rewards but miners are..

I think staking is a very nice way of generating additional income if you are planning to hold your tokens for a longer time anyway. Currently i am staking Radix with their native wallet and i see no reason why i would not want to do that. The only negative thing is that if i want to unstake the coins i need to wait around 10-14 days until the coins are unstaked and free to be sent around again. So if i suddenly want to sell my Radix i can not do that, but i am not planning to sell them anyway anytime soon so that is not a problem for me. You always need to to check though if the fees for staking, claiming and unstaking and so on are not higher than the rewards.. especially on the ETH chain.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2022 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯 on: December 21, 2021, 02:02:03 PM
Today veteran Beaton won against Fallon Sherrock 3:2, It was really amazing game to watch.

Im really sad that I have missed this one! I read somewhere that this is already the end for Fallon Sherrrock in the 2022 PDC Tournament?
If yes she didn't deserve it Undecided

Yes, unfortunately she lost against Beaton, we will need to wait another year before Sherrock will be able to write history again.
Anybody saw Van Barneveld play yesterday? Was fun to see the atmossphere from the crowd with everybody cheering and singing for Barney. His secound round match is against Cross, it will be difficult but I hope he can win!

I an actually quite happy that this artificially built up hype about fallon Sherry sherrock is over now. I having nothing against her as a person but the hype around was just way to much and not justified. She have beat a few men in a sports where women have absolutely no disadvantage and everyone went crazy because of that for whatever reason and even wanted her to play in the premier League, even though he has not once beat a top 10 Player and does not even have a Tour card. That is not the definition of equality.
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase listed 83 assets in 2021 on: December 21, 2021, 01:44:48 PM
Coinbase is one of the world-leading exchanges has recorded the highest number of listing in 2021 as the exchange has a total of 139 tradable assets, which indicates a high volume of listing in this year 2021. This boom in the listing is traceable to the rise of new projects and platforms such as NFTs, Defi, and the metaverse which have made the entire cryptocurrency market increase in its demands and usability.
Ink: https://cointelegraph.com/news/listing-frenzy-coinbase-adds-nearly-100-crypto-assets-for-trading-in-2021

If they have added 83 assets to their exchange for trade and they now have 139 tradeable assets in total then this was really a massive growth in the last year as the number more than doubled in this short period of time. As others already mentioned in here they kind of had to do that and they even added some meme coins to their portfolio and i would guess that they did not want to add such sh*t coins but they had such a high volume at times that they just could not miss out on those trading fees.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 21, 2021, 11:27:18 AM
This season is one of those times when Real Madrid has everything to make a great Champions League. The La Liga championship is fully controlled, with no opponents at the height. In this way they can dedicate themselves almost 100% to the Champions League.

I am actually surprised about how well Real Madrid is doing this season. They may not be among the absolute top favorite in the champions league but so far they are playing pretty well and have achieved good results. This is surprising to me because Real Madrid has almost as many debts as Barca has and still Real somehow managed to keep a working squad together while Barcelona is forced to play with a lot of extremely young players, that may have a lot of talent and a bright future but of course no experience at all in big games. I just don't see why Real Madrid could keep his squad together.. they have 900 M€ of debts and Barca 1,35 Billion € so of course Barca has more, but not that much more.
2020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Binance Coin (BNB) reach $1K? on: December 21, 2021, 11:23:06 AM
Binance Coin (BNB) is the most popular coin currently in the crypto space. Binance has a network, namely the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), which is the most widely used by companies for their projects because of the relatively low cost. In addition, Binance also has an Exchange with a large number of transactions every day. October 2021, seems to be a very good month for Binance because of the pretty good price movement. Now that BNB is at $526, will BNB reach $1K?

For me it is absolutelty possible that BNB will reach 1000$ per coin someday if the overall market keeps growing and i say that even though i don't own any BNB myself. Even in the last few weeks where the prices dumped a lot of times BNB always stayed above 500$ or was only below it for a short amount of time and now it is safely above 500$ again so i am sure that as soon as the next bull market starts that BNB will be one of the coins that will be growing the most and therefore 1000$ will be no problem, it's only a x2 from here on after all. I still wouldn't buy BNB now though because i don't want to invest into projects where others already made a x500 with.
