2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / ETH Sentiment Poll for October on: October 10, 2022, 01:42:10 PM
Just like the BTC sentiment poll this month, I just want to know how and what you guys are feeling towards the market, specifically ETH for October...

I feel like the ETH market has done what it needed to in this market.  It has already made all those who were likely to sell, dump their bags.  I mean is there really more down side after everything?  :/  I used to think yes.  But somehow I'm slowly not convinced anymore.

2102  Economy / Speculation / BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 10, 2022, 01:29:32 PM
Here's an easy one.  No BTC guessing games at what price or near what price by the end of the month.  Just go by how and what you feel as you make the vote.  Now I'm not going to vote in my own poll but right now I feel like it's all just gonna go sideways for a couple of months or so before we see what's up with the whole inflation thing.  I haven't really been paying attention tbh.  Lol.  I just look at the chart and figure it out if it's risk off or risk on.

Anyway..  Here's the monthly chart.

2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 09, 2022, 12:22:17 PM
^  I got 2 - 2.  It could be the kind of match when Liverpool plays to the same intensity of their opponent.  They might be in a rut but I don't think they're mentally done.  They know they got a good squad and they def know they got a good manager in Klopp.  I like the BTTS and over 2.5 goals combo here.

And Mtrovic isn't playing vs West Ham and he isn't on the bench either.  Just made a small bet for West Ham clean sheet at 2.30 for fun.  Grin

Edit:  WTF!?  Fk u hammers.

Pole position for Max but he is under investigation.

He deserves a penalty for impeding to Norris but as we already know, RBR is basically immune and he will keep the 1st position.

I don't think it was that big of a deal to get a penalty.  It was a misstep, sure..  And a dumb one.  But really would Leclerc or Hamilton be given a penalty if they did it?  I don't think so.  They'll be reprimanded like Verstappen was reprimanded but it doesn't deserve a penalty imho.

This an interesting market...

Group 4:

Gasly, Pierre 3.00
Tsunoda, Yuki 3.00
Zhou, Guanyu 3.00
Schumacher, Mick 5.00

What do you guys think and who would you pick?  Gasly could be the best driver here but he's behind those other drivers.  :/

From those 4 you have chosen in theory yes an odd of 3 should be really generous on Gasly but keep in mind that tomorrow we are racing under race conditions and that is why we see such high odds for all the drivers because of the unknown the rain brings.

If we were in normal conditions between those 4 drivers I think the real odd of Gasly should be something like 1.7 to 1.8 as a maximum.Still from the bets I prefer head 2 head bets in F1,they are much easier to find if the cars do not have failures of any kind.

Seeing how everything in the race panned out right now, it looks like dropping a little coin on Mick Schumacher would've been a good value bet.  Case in point, the rain made it very unpredictable so the best move was to pass and save your money.  And if ever you reeeally wanted to degen it up and still make a bet at these track conditions, just go for the guy that's paying the most value.

Anyway, I'm seeing a counter at the top left corner that has a count down.  It's '1:46:57' rn..  I'll assume that's how long we wait before the FIA decides if the race goes on or not.  :/  Lmao.  Fk this am going back to sleep.

The race has been red flagged for over an hour now.  I think I'm gonna doze off if there's another 30 mins of this sht.  Don't know why the FIA just let them slap on the full wets and get on with the race.

2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 08, 2022, 04:35:06 PM
Here is my pick for the fights tomorrow, for the UFC Fight Night: Grasso vs. Araujo

Alexa Grasso VS Viviane Araujo

Stake odds for this fight are 1.48 for Grasso while 2.60 for Araujo, for this fight I am for the beautiful Alexa Grasso through and through Surely Araujo has a high possibility to do the fight on the ground but good takedown defense is what Grasso is all about, and she can now play it safe that is why her fight was finishing on a decision win, but for me Alexa Grasso truly is will win this, so my pick is Alexa Grasso,

Jonathan Martinez VS Cub Swanson

Stake odds for this fight are 1.49 for Martinez and 2.55 for Swanson, I have never seen after that Darren Elkins fight in 2021, and I don't really like his fight with Giga Chikadze he lost to Chikadze While Martinez has a consecutive win of 3 for me a safe bet will be Jonathan Martinez I really think that Martinez would win this we got to see their age and Cub Swanson looks old, on his age, so for me, Jonathan Martinez is my pick,

Askar Askarov VS Brandon Royval

The stake odds for this fight are 1.42 for Askarov and 2.85 for Royal, Askar has only 1 lost and it was from Kai Kara-France for me Askar can win this with his ground game, and with his stand-up, a decent  one aswell but both men are pretty much well-verse with the ground game, for me Askar Askarov will have an edge with his type of wrestling like Khabib it will be a chain of multiple Submission for me Askar Askarov will win this,

The event will not be on til next week...  :/  Yeah I know it sucks.

I feel like there's more than a couple of underdogs that could win in this event.  Prolly 5 of them.  I'm not sure what the exact odds are but I think Araujo, Royval, Davis, Malkoun and Sam Hughes are live dogs.  And there are a couple more match ups with sketchy favorites too.

^  Aubameyang didn't start.  I should stop picking him.  He is Tuchel's boy at Dortmund after all.  He never got the chance to play under his new manager as Tuchel got the sack as Aubameyang was just getting into the club.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Haaland got one in.  But he somewhat had some weird chances to 'create' some goals but no real solid chances.

And City seems like it's playing like the Barca of old when the Pep was running things over there.  Haaland makes a ton of difference.  A clear contrast of what they were in the last years prior.  They really looked stale on the attack without a great striker.  It would've been Aguero when Pep arrived but he got old and got injured most of the time.

Ey Majestic 7 enjoyers, the matches have already started and I was wondering who you guys picked for this weekend.  Wink  My picks are...

Aubameyang
Haaland
Callum Wilson
Maddison
Kane
Zaha
Martial

^  I'm somewhat think we'll start seeing more of Martial after what everybody has seen of him during the Manchester derby.  If anything, why use him just now?  I think he's one of the better players of the team imho.

Anyway, GL to all.  May one of us win that 10k one of these days.

^  So third driver, meaning he gets a seat when Hamilton retires?  It could be a hint that Hamilton's current contract will be his last.  Happy for Ricciardo if he gets a drive at Mercedes.  He's been in a rut since leaving Red Bull.  The guy deserves a big break for once as he is a talented driver.

Anyway here's the results for quali.  Verstappen let out the big guns and came out first from Q1 to Q3.  Smiley

^  What do you mean the Wolves 'won't go blank'?  They'll be able to get at least a goal in vs Chelsea?  Dunno about that.  The Wolves haven't gotten a goal in 5 of their last 7 matches and Chelsea on the other hand have been winning in their last 7 home matches.  I think we're gonna see something like a 2 - 0, 3 - 0 score line or something.

But yeah, I could be wrong.  I'm just looking at all the stuff that's been happening this season.

Anyway, what do you think of Arsenal vs Liverpool BTTS and over 2.5 goals at 1.85 or something...  Seems like an easy bet.  I fancy it could go 2 - 2.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 07, 2022, 01:15:37 PM
I don't really know why people are all of a sudden discussing about Haaland potentially leaving City some years from now, it could prolly be because of his dad's comments a few days ago, but that wasn't a direct statement to indicate that Haaland won't be staying at City too long.

I fully agree....
In just over two months at Manchester City, Erling Haaland has already racked up many goals so that he has numbers above several other world football stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Haaland is scoring a lot of goals at an astonishing pace. I've been researching the data here so I don't get it wrong, and he scored no less than 17 goals in the first 11 games this season... I think Haaland at city is much better than he was at Borussia Dortmund or Salzburg.
He is a player who is certainly already starting to go down in football history.

And Man City is trying to emerge to become an elite club in the level of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern.  It's not quite there yet but within 20 years it would prolly have racked up enough trophies and write its own accolades in the history books.  The criticisms that they're a money club is true, but how can a club really excel in modern football in the current transfer market the we have without spending too much money?  It's impossible.  And if anything, City has spend their money smarter as of late than clubs like United and Barca.

United have taken so much coward moves for the pass seasons with a lot of players that doesn't suit the club from 2013 till date, I can't even call a complete player for Manchester United. Ten Hag is a good man and knows what he wants, they shouldn't hesitate to splash the cash when he finally demands for it, the only thing that has helped reduced the talks about Pep's expenditures is just that they have been winning trophies for some years now.
Man United needs to start winning even if it's the Europa League and then try winning the Premier League next season it will be so much benefit them alot.
Barcelona spent carelessly on Griezman and Dembele but they have not done to the expectations of the fans

Didn't United spend a lot of money since they kicked out the genius Moyes from the club?  What they should do is spend smart.  They have been wasting a lot of money acquiring bums.  City's spending can be justified because those players they acquired have mostly been performing well and taking City to a higher level.  I mean there are mishaps here and there but they are fixed really fast.  I remember Pep acquiring a keeper during his first season and realized it was a mistake...  No ifs, no buts, City got rid of the keeper they very next year and acquired Ederson.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 07, 2022, 01:07:51 PM
...
Wasn't Ronaldo being linked to Man City?
...

Yep, but it was probably a smart move from his agents. It would be impossible to imagine Ronaldo in Guardiola's system - and he's too powerful there to be told 'take Ronaldo and make it work' - which United did to Solskjaer/later requested from Rangnick.

United are awful for exactly that reason - they bring players with marketing value, not players that will improve them on the pitch.

^  This and it has been going on for a while now.  It's not totally about the quality of football anymore, the dubbed 'United way', whatever that really means but the supporters expect it from their club.  It's all about United the brand now and with complete disregard of the 'style' of how they should play.

But why not, play Ronaldo the way Real played him under Mourinho.  Starts at left wing and given free reign to move around and drift to the middle at the attacking third where he's a real threat.  Mou still made it work defensively imho.

And what do you guys think of Chelsea clean sheet at 1.89?
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 07, 2022, 12:54:47 PM

I don't think Honda really has a choice but to leave after their partnership with Red Bull ends.  Even if they really wanted to stay, Honda doesn't really have the resources to work on the new specs for the new engine change on 2026.  They were set to leave F1 this season but the engine change was moved to 2026 encouraging them to stay til end of 2025 season.

And it looks like there's gonna be some rain...  Drivers who are fast on wet tracks are Hamilton, Alonso and Verstappen but with the track having lots of turns and corners I think Sainz could be a surprise here.

Very hard to see what Honda will do in the future, the new engine specification should be easier and RedBull is now building the powertrains themselves at RedBull Powertrain, maybe Honda will just do the combustion engine as they are doing now (I think I read) and they might have the resources for that. But we will see in 2026.

The coming race is very difficult for me to predict but I expect Verstappen to be world champion this weekend, but we'll see how qualifying goes and what the weather is like on race day.

Red Bull will need a partner as I don't think the engineers they acquired when Honda was originally set to move out isn't  doesn't really have the resources either.  Imagine going against Mercedes and Ferrari who's been in the business of making engines for more than 50 years.  Lol.

Anyway, here are the results for FP2.  The wet track is making things really unpredictable

2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 06, 2022, 08:43:31 AM
As far as I know , Honda has some backup plans to return into F1 from 2026 and remove the HRC from F1 and let them focus on the other competitions. With Suzuka coming this weekend ,we might found more news regarding Honda and what they plan to do in future and if Max will secure his F1 title on Sunday , then for sure Honda will have to make a statement regarding their future in F1.

And as far as I know, Honda is leaving F1 because of their lack of resources and technical capability on the new engines after the change.  So their fate as far as their run in F1 is prolly already written.  Red Bull wouldn't look for a new engine partner if Honda was still keen on staying aboard to continue development.  But we'll see.  They're having a good partnership with Honda and continuing would mean more stability...  And more world titles.

Anyway, wet track and a track with not really many straights are bad for Red Bull's cars.  Ferrari could prolly have the advantage here.  Dunno...

This is what I think is gonna happen...  Right now looking at the odds, I think there's some value on Oliveira.  We have talked about it before, the match could be closer than what the lines suggest as Makhachev hasn't really fought an elite grappler like Oliveira.  The best grappler he's fought in the last couple of years, if not the only decent grappler he's fought is Thiago Moises.
Yeah, and with all due respect to Thiago, but he's not been the best as of recent, despite picking up some wins. I do think Oliveria is going to sub him, I think that'll ultimately be the biggest kick in the teeth. I'm quite impressed that Dana has made this match up so soon, because it's definitely a risk to one of his prospects being derailed. I don't understand why Charles gets disrespected so much. He's seriously dangerous on the mat, probably as dangerous as they come.

Obviously, Charles isn't the best defensively on the feet, and that could be a problem. However, from what I've seen from Makhachev, I don't think he'll be outclassed.

Moises is in a two fight skid, but you can't really blame the guy for losing vs Makhachev.  He lasted til R4 before getting subbed.  That's still a good look imho.  Grin  But the loss vs Alvarez is bad.  It kinda raised Alvarez's stock and I thought he could win as an underdog vs Tsarukyan...  Nope.  Lol.

As for Oliviera not good defensively, it's prolly not that but the style he's trying to play.  He gets one to give one and sometimes it just looks like it's reckless abandon.  Even if it is reckless abandon, it's what makes him an exciting fighter tho.

The Japanese Grand Prix is at this weekend.

I'm excited about this race because it wasn't held in 2020 and 2021. Bottas is still retaining his achievement as he won the last race in 2019. It is almost impossible to repeat this with Alfa Romeo now though.  Grin  Anyway if we don't see heavy conditions again then I think Verstappen is already very close to getting his first ever victory in Suzuka. There is no way any other driver competing with him at the same level under normal conditions now.

However if we see heavy rain then this race would be much more difficult for Verstappen also. It is already not an easy track and it would add an extra difficulty to the situation.

I'm curious about RedBull's motivation at the Japanese Grand Prix. Helmut Marko has indicated that he would like to see Verstappen win the world championship title in Japan, for the engine partner Honda that could be make Honda happy Grin. The deal with Porsche has apparently fallen through and RedBull wants to have engine partner Honda on board for longer.

https://www.speedweek.com/formel1/news/198851/Helmut-Marko-zum-WM-Titel-Besser-waerE28099s-in-Japan.html

The weather in Suzuka is still very difficult to predict.
