Another question if I may?
Is Spreadcoin susceptible to 51% attacks either currently or post masternode implementation?
There are a few X11 farms that mine between 3.5GH and 8GH which I suppose might be able to be adapted to SpreadX11. I've rented a few of these farms and mined X11 for periods of 24 hours or so before. If one of these farm operators solo mined at say, 5GH, would that pose a threat to the security of the Spreadcoin network?
In the context of 51% attacks, mining pools have no incentive to disrupt whereas if there was a single person with access to the hardware and the motive, would Spreadcoin be vulnerable?

The important thing is to have a dev that can code. If he can do that, then he can also change or adapt the code to things that will come up.
+1 It is the abilities of Mr Spread that drew my attention to this coin in the first place. Another question I asked a few pages back...is there a way to show the top ten miners in a pie chart or something? Would be interesting to know how many large farms are mining SpreadX11. |

Not quite. More like different people with the same goal. Apologies, was playing scrabble with my wife and will shortly be going to the Arsenal match. I'll send Mr Spread a message when I get back. I only spend time on this thread because I see possible value in sharing developments and collaborating between SPR and DRK. I'm very much one person with one account (go to Darkcoin.io if you want to check) and no negative intentions towards this coin. Just because I haven't sent a message to Mr Spread about a possible exploit in the future of this coin within a few hours doesn't mean I'm trying to fuck with your coin  I have no doubt it would be fixable if it is indeed an exploit. Is there a Spreadcoin testnet? |

I believe I have found what could be a very serious problem with solo mining SPR and master nodes.

Genuinely not intended as FUD. I think I know what Coins is talking about. Either Mr spread has plans to fix this problem already or the dev team haven't scrutinised the work that Kristov Atlas did for Darkcoin in the context of spreadcoin. Does Spreadcoin have a testnet? Would be interested to take part in masternode testing. |

Pretty cool, and almost 2 million locked away in masternodes!
If that's true then 40% of available supply is in masternodes. Would be cool if anyone has access to historical data to plot this over time. Last I checked about a month ago masternodes were at around 33% of supply. I think anyone that has used Darksend before is going to literally shit themselves when v11 hits mainnet. Tis fast... tis very fast.

v0.11x will be unstable for a while as any glitches are ironed out but I just managed to send some DRK through two rounds of denominations so quickly I spat my coffee onto my keyboard.
Holy amazeballs Batman, v0.11x is looking great!
I`ve denominated 1000 tDRK in less than 10 min! This is going to be staying in testnet for a while but darksend is looking so much better than it was. Seriously impressive improvements to the end user experience. Time for some darksend ping pong! |

All the serious exchanges who have investors will now be in fear of going to jail if they don't ban their customers for being linked to potential criminal activity or are in danger of regulatory contraventions. The only solution is to create a way for exchanges and customers to be legally complaint whilst also being able to stand up in a criminal court and deny knowledge of being connected to wrongdoing. The same way that a $100 can be used to buy drugs, guns, and then nappies and be banked by a store owner who does not then face criminal prosecution for being part of a criminal chain of events.
