2141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2earn games on: December 29, 2021, 09:54:16 PM
How good will Play2earn games be that someone can rely on them for daily weekly or monthly income? Axie infinity was a blast but now it's no more a easier option for people that are struggling because the requirements to play the game is highly costly, are there free to play crypto games available?
Honestly the amount of time it takes to recoup the initial investment is horrible in most of them. That is the biggest problem, if you spent nothing and earned 50 bucks a month with it, then it would be fine, versus a situation where you spend 1000 dollars but make 100 dollars a month. I mean if you see a 10 month recoup period, it looks and sounds more like "what could happen in 10 months" situation.

People were able to make a ton of money from Axie 10 months ago, not so much right now, and probably a lot less in 10 months again. Most games have this trouble, they can't make consistent profits to people and that causes many people the leave the games by selling all they have to get out with minimum loss or just doesn't worth the profit anymore. Unless you are some guy with 500 Axie and dozens of scholars, it is not really worth it to do it yourself anymore.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Crypto Altcoin Projects likely to make you a millionaire on: December 28, 2021, 09:49:51 PM
I browsed through your list and while some projects are indeed interesting (I am also a fan of the GET protocol), I don't believe you can become a millionaire by investing in these projects except if you invest a really large sum in it. This is a classical case of DYOR, so guys, be carefull before investing and always take into account, that you only invest with money that you are willing to loose.
I have the same feeling and suggesting to others what to invest in on a public forum is a very risky aspect because if things go right people may give you some praise but if things go wrong they will be blaming you like you own the project.

I had a friend whom I suggested investing in BTC in my early years and the guy lost some money and we lost friendship etc and trust me it's not a fun situation to handle at those times.

@OP I would suggest you to put a bolded reminder that these suggestions don't guarantee you profits.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 28, 2021, 09:24:29 PM
Napoli and Atalanta are very unstable teams, but this season Napoli is performing much better than it was before. It would be more accurate to say Napoli was better at the beginning of the season, because there was a streak of unsuccessful matches in which Napoli lost too many points. I do not think that they will be able to rectify the situation, because the crisis in the team has not yet passed. We will be able to see what the team is capable of in the match against Juventus.
With current form and history of matches between these two teams Juventus is clearly favorite for winning this match and have some good for their touching into top 4 spots because recently Napoli is giving too many points against very low rank teams and their injuries list is also very big which is the biggest problem for them in remaining season. They have some hopes for staying here, but it needs some good form and good news about their good players, those are out with injuries for last few weeks.

If they are able to beat Juventus in this match then surely they are having again very good time for challenging leaders Inter for this year's title and having good chance for better results against Barcelona into Europa Cup match after few weeks.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: December 28, 2021, 09:08:57 PM
The new week is closing in. The opening game is in three days and it is between Valencia and Espanyol. Valencia have been one of the impressive teams of the last weeks. They have had a three-game win streak lately. And they didn't lose a game for a long time. I can't say the same for Espanyol honestly. They were winning and losing consecutively these times. Their inconsistency could cost them three points here.
After very bad start in early days of this season now suddenly Valencia is playing very good with their current form is giving them some good chance for having a spot in next season's European chance because few teams already losing their spot due to very bad form and this can help them at very crucial time of this season.

Espanyol away form is worst as they lost 4 matches and have only 1 draw against Elche so with this all now if Valencia wins this match surely they will jump into very good spot with some good time for having their strong hold until end of this season which is very good for them.
2145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 27, 2021, 09:30:51 PM
You have a good zeal by not giving up despite all the huge loses but before you go back into trading try as much to learn more about trading as to reduce the rare of lose. Don't go back without updating your knowledge about trading. Since you still have the urge to trade go for it, but learn first.
I agree it's important to realize that trading isn't for everyone. There should be no shame in accepting that fine trading doesn't work for me so I will try to do something else that works well for me. I am not saying OP is egoistic but I have seen people who can't digest the fact that they are not good at something and they will try and prove others that they're good by continuing doing the same thing.

You are losing money in trading = stop, simple as that. Do you feel you made a particular mistake and you can improve? Fine, resume trading but make sure the mistake is eliminated and new ones are not coming in.
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 27, 2021, 08:09:43 PM
ICC knows exactly whats the financial worth of every board they talk with them accordingly. ICC and BCCI both goes hand in hand, since its ICC who stops cricket for two months for IPL. If India want more share from ICC then ICC need more cricket and new countries joining in. Its best in interest of Big 3 that new countries wont join the cricket eco system.
What you said isn't false but there is more to it.

First of all, yes during the IPL time the entire world is hardly playing competitive cricket but part of that is because TOP players from around the world come to India to play the IPL and their boards are paid hefty amounts to let the NOC for the player to pay in the league.

Secondly, ICC is not a rich board and depends on the earnings from individual boards so while the logic says they should support smaller regions, the reality is that ICC can't afford it.
2147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 25, 2021, 06:59:14 PM
Imagine you have been holding bitcoin for 10 more years with high expectations surely you won't regret it so it depends on everyone situations and expectations but keeping it low and realistic will give consistent returns while holding long may suprise you with hige return or upset you with no returns but before making investment be ready to lose the capital.
So far bitcoin has proved that in real time. The longer we are holding bitcoins, the higher the return we could enjoy. From all these, I am really hesitating to agree with OP because there will be no point of not holding bitcoin for rest of our life.

There should be some exception for every conceptual thing and this way bitcoin investment must be one of the the exceptional investment opportunity which could be worth to be holding for entire life. I guess there could be bitcoin like few altcoins also might be available hence we cannot have any general opinion on holding period of any cryptocurrency.
2148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin market has been dumping so much for months on: December 24, 2021, 08:31:26 PM
I think that another important reason why we are seeing such a slow December is that people are afraid that another crash will happen similar to the way the previous bull run ended, so instead of seeing the increase in the price we were expecting the markets are in doubt of fully committing to bitcoin if we were going to see another crash at January, however I think that once investors see this is not the case then the price will begin to go up once again.
But, since yesterday's late session, we are having sustaining bullish trend which made bitcoin to be trading above $50k levels which means we are not having sideways December month anymore but we may have bullish days for the remaining days of this December.

Now market seems like confident along with decent volume across major exchanges which might be a good sign for getting into FOMO. Already bitcoin managed to stay above support levels which might have gained confident among institutional investors who are all going to be the core reason for making bitcoin into $100 before the first quarter of 2022.
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where I can check the crypto events calender? on: December 24, 2021, 08:00:14 PM
Expect from coinmarketcap where i can check about crypto events
Simply you can follow any of crypto news portal which must be an enough resource to keep tracking about major crypto related events worldwide.

If you want to know about upcoming ICO/IEO or airdrop/bounty programs then I guess no exact thing will help you as you must need to follow at least more than 5 different platform. Moreover, it may not remain profitable if you participate in ICO or airdrops.
2150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money day trading Bitcoin? on: December 24, 2021, 06:46:31 PM
if we know more about trading and improve our knowledge and skill, earning a profit every week is very possible. However, it wasn't guaranteed that it becomes a 100% return of our capital, and losses still be feasible during the full week in trading.
Finishing up a week in profits is something different from finishing up a day in profits. If you target to close your trades within a day then you may face lots of challenges. If you open a position as per your technical and wait for 2 to 4 days to book profits then you can get plenty of chances to finish your week in profits. This is being termed as short term based trading which must be better than day trading.

Only trading with the expectation of targets to be achieved within a day is a big problem in crypto markets due to its high volatile nature. If you give time for your positions then you may get assured profits in long run given that your skills in analysis is decent enough.
2151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: December 24, 2021, 04:00:27 PM
I have this friend who built doge coin mining farm to get some coins and stake them the question is how good is staking?
Staking dogecoins? I am not sure, will it be at any exchange or anywhere as dogecoin itself a POW coin. POS may not remain profitable for you which must be the reason why most people are not recommending it. We need a real life application based coin and if it can be staked then we may go for it. Just speculative coins are not good for staking.

Without buying mining machines, the risk is impermanent loss or we will lose even though it benefits in value because the forecast price drops considerably.
But in long run, we are not making any returns as the coin itself getting heavily dumped by the staking rewards which must be a biggest drawback of POS coins. I had experiences with few staking coins and I am still holding RDD and few other POS coins but none of them are able to get me my capital amount but I do not have plans to sell off them right away. I may keep holding them.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: December 24, 2021, 06:56:05 AM
As the year 2021 is coming to an end what is the future for the new rave of the moment NFTs which seems to have taken over the cryptocurrency market in 2021 as the new year 2022 is coming and a lot of projects coming up what do we expect to see in the coming year will NFTs continue to drive or a new wave is coming?
Even NFT might be a wonderful concept due to lots of scams and manipulations, I am afraid it may not able to sustain in crypto space. It may get obsolete like ICO (ICO faced tough time due to exchange based initial offering IEO; similarly we could expect improved version of NFT).

When retail investors are heavily get impacted by manipulations, that leads to regulation but in decentralized environment that is not possible which is the reason we need improved version. I am confident about revised version of NFT which might be from exchanges or community driven; let's wait and watch as NFT is really backed by nice concept hence I love to have it in more secured version rather than what we have today.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 23, 2021, 09:51:26 PM
I honestly believe that the game was one of the most fun matches I have seen for a long time. I have to say Liverpool didn't have their best roster out there, and Vardy showed once again why he should be considered one of the best scorers in the league, most people do not really consider him as a transfer target but him in a team like City would be insane to consider, but for some reason Kane is always seen a lot more desirable.

In any case it was a great game to watch, I had so much fun watching it, I am not fan of either team so I could easily say no matter who won, it was a great game to watch for me anyway and Liverpool ended up winning, a little bit more dramatic, a bit more later but still the result I expected.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto.com Predicts 1 Billion Global Crypto Users in 2022! on: December 23, 2021, 09:33:04 PM
Crypto.com has published a report asserting that it expects one billion crypto users by the end of 2022.
It’s just a prediction, but I am not going to doubt it because it is quite possible that it might happen before 2022 is over.  The rate at which people are adopting cryptocurrency these days is quite huge. Like these days almost everyone you are going to meet  knows one or two things about cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin.

So, since people are very much aware of these crypto currencies, it’s quite possible that from time to time they will get to experience things that will make them think about cryptocurrency, and as time goes on it is likely that their interest might develop into becoming part of the cryptocurrency community, which would lead them into adopting cryptocurrency. So this is quite possible to happen, we should be looking forward to it.
2155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk to reward the right balance? on: December 23, 2021, 08:16:25 PM
I developed a systen with long and shorts and over 16 pairs had an average success rate of 56%
Only 56% ? I guess you must work on your strategies. You must have your hitting ratio more than 85% which is because on average you may not make same kind of profits hence just counting the profitable trades against losing trade may not help until you are near to 99% hitting rate.

I think the code for shorts was off so removed it and when with longs Got an average over the 16 pairs of 75% wins although there where major differences 90% with btc 30% with XRP
The current overall trend of crypto space is bullish hence your strategies might look good when you go longs and might get you losses when you you short. A good strategy may not produce different hit ratios between long and shorting.

The issue I am having however is with stop loss and general risk reward.
You must follow same kind of technical strategy for stoploss and risk-reward ratio should be 90-10. If you follow trailing stoploss then you can easily get higher profits against cutting losses early.
2156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 23, 2021, 07:25:30 PM
I have lost all my capital to trading but still yet I feel the urge to trade more, I spent a huge capital to trade some new coins recently and was actively involved in spot trading. But recently I lost all my capital and I decided to give a break but now am feeling I should return back to trading.
Never repeat your mistake. For a change, you should try to plan up for long term investments rather than keep trying crypto trading. Investments in cryptocurrencies must the another strategy in crypto trading but the time frame is the only difference.

I am very much sure you could recover all your losses incurred in crypto trading by investing into bitcoin for years. Instead of arranging capital for your crypto trading this time you should go for arranging funds for investments with the plans of minimum holding for next 10 years so that you could recover all your losses. If you plan investments for 10 years then you could get up to 100x returns.
2157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Issues. on: December 23, 2021, 06:36:27 PM
There is no queries that price has no surety due to high fluctuations. In any case and what type of coin you have even it is a bitcoin or any other coin there will always be some sort of fluctuations so you do not realize that during next days what will be the utility of this coin. One thing is to remember that bitcoin has strong base if it will decrease in worth but after few hours it will come back to its higher worth so during volatility each and every Coin become up and down is not a new thing.
That volatility is mainly because we have so much money involved in bitcoin and yet so little involved at the same time. Meaning, we have a lot of people trading, and they have a lot of money that they can use for trading but not all of them are always in the market, sometimes it is just in USDT, sometimes it is in crypto, sometimes it is in fiat at coinbase, but it is not always in the trading itself.

It means that while on a regular moment the market may have x amount of money, there could be 2x amount of money waiting to get involved with bitcoin (or crypto in general). This is how the market moves so volatile, because people trade regularly like there is nothing wrong and then suddenly we have so much money going in or out of bitcoin all of a sudden, that causes bitcoin to be a little bit more hectic compared to all other markets.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of work vs proof of stake? Why can't i STAKE my BTC? on: December 23, 2021, 01:04:56 PM
My understanding of proof of work is that basically (miners/CPUs provide power to write transactions on the blockchain) whereas Proof of stake (is when we hold a certain currency and lock it into the systemso liquidity increases). Please correct me if im wrong.
Also why is it that only some coins can be staked? What are the conditions for a coin to be eligible to be staked?
And why are the returns on staking different on different exchanges? Is it simply due to difference in commission ,as logically the return on staking should be universally same depending upon the lock in period?
Staking is not something that works for every cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency that you are holding has to allow such before you can stake it. Bitcoin cannot be staked, but there are some exchanges that would allow you to deposit your Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency at all into a savings account or something like that and you will be earning interest per annum, the interest goes anywhere around 4% to 6% per annum, and even as high as 20% for some altcoins.

So, you cannot stake Bitcoin for now, but you can stake Ethereum (because of the ETH 2 upgrade). And then other cryptocurrencies that you can also stake are Texos, and Cosmos. There are also many others that you can stake, you can just look for the ones you believe are really good and you can select them and start staking them.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 23, 2021, 06:40:00 AM
The whole farmer's league has been unattractive to many, not exclusively for this match. I so much wished that Lorient could replicate what Spezia did to Napoli in Italy. It nearly happened. Despite PSG dominating the game, they had narrow luck on goals.
However, Icardi go suddenly lucky to redeem a lone point for his giant side.
This is fascinating team like Lorient giving hard time to PSG with they have nearly 77% ball possession and 17 shots on goals and in presence of some quality strikers just level match 1 - 1. Surely it's not good for PSG, and they need to think about their strategy because it's going to hurt them for next matches even they are already having some good gape of points and title is in their wallet already. Just Mbappe was not available and rest of team giving very poor performance is having not good impact.

For Napoli, it's having nothing good with too many loses in last few matches and now at 3rd spot with still chance to go more down after break, and they are going to face Juventus which is in good touch now.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 22, 2021, 09:34:58 PM
Before Series they have big claims but right now only malan/root are clicking in there entire line up. There runs are not adequate to give some chance to English bowlers. There was big news when squad was announced that Stokes is available for ashes but so far he is a complete failure.
These were not big claims mostly hype creates for this current Ashes series because we all know these two boards having some good benefits from this, and they need to do this all for more revenues which were good but after two tests results peoples understanding this all with third test is going to play at MCB on Boxing Day which is also having some good for CA as these five days are most important for them.

Meanwhile NZ has announced its squad for 2 test against Bangladesh. There is a big surprise (to me at least), Ajaz Patel who recently made a historic record by picking 10 wickets in an inning against India is dropped.
Drop of Ajaz Patel is not surprise as New Zealand home pitches are not good favorable for spinners mostly their seamers doing very good, so mostly they drop them and having just one spinner with some good batting skills, or we can say all-rounder.
