Best solution would be to raise the withdraw to 50000NZD for the next week without verification. The most problems are because people want withdraw

The withdrawal limit is imposed by law. Best is to get KYC verification before trading on there. Then there is no issues.

12 days, no monero, no ticket answers...

Did you use a payment ID ? The wallet states : Make sure you use your PaymentId when depositing or your deposit will be lost.

This is not relevant for withdrawals from exchanges. Poloniex has 10 times lower BTC withdrawal fee (0.0001 BTC) and nothing ever gets stuck. You can send multiple coins to multiple addresses with just one transaction, and that's what exchanges usually do. Here's a Polo's address, you can see how their transactions look like:
https://blockchain.info/address/17A16QmavnUfCW11DAApiJxp7ARnxN5pGX

When multiple users pay 0.0001 BTC each, the total tx fee is more than enough to get the tx through fast. Nothing prevents Cryptopia from doing the same thing, they are smaller than Polo, but could still easily do 0.0002-0.0003 fee if they wanted to.

That may well be something that they should investigate. Currently their system does one transaction per withdrawal.
It would require a full rewrite of their withdraw engine, needs enough consistent withdraw volume to be able to pool them without causing delays, and various other things. Not a small job.

Why does Cryptopia not put account holders who can't get into their accounts at the top of the fix list. One thing is apparent for sure, Cryptopia has no sympathy for it's customers losing money. You guys pop off with "be patient".... that's a ridiculous request to make to a customer that has entrusted you with their monetary assets that they have no access to whatsoever. And all the while these assets values are in fluid motion. Crazy. Just crazy.

Took me three week to get back into my Novaexchange account after my phone broke with the 2FA app on it.

I'm glad that they made sure that it was me before giving access to my account. Someone could have hijacked my email account and pretended to be me.
My  sccount didn't have much in it - put that is not the point.

Cryptopia charges 0.008 BCH as a withdrawal fee only to send transaction with 0.00000230 BCH fee. This says a lot about exchange.

Maybe they do to avoid a lot of smaller transactions that would inevitably choke the network and nobody likes a choked network like the one we experience when btc take a lot for a confirmation.

By the way I just noticed that they went back to the 0.001 BTC withdraw fee after being at 0.002 BTC for some time, that is defintely a good news.

Thats pretty naive, they do it to earn money. To stop micro withdrawals you just have to raise mininum withdrawal amount.

Transaction cost of 17 USD is good news for sure.

I'd love to see the txid of where Cryptopia charges 0.008 BCH as a withdrawal fee only to send transaction with 0.00000230 BCH fee.
I've had a look at my txs and the fee paid is nothing like that.

If you set your fee too low when depositing bitcoin to your wallet it could be that your transaction will be delayed or stuck.

If the tx fee is too low it will either:

1) Take a long time for your deposit to be confirmed.

OR

2) Be returned to your wallet after 72 hours (in some rare cases after 2 weeks)

Bitcoin transactions are too expensive. I tend to use DOGE for transfers now.

Cryptopia has $60,000,000 million daily volume. That is a tremendous growth. Imagine the potential of smaller exchanges that carry user/token incentives (like COSS.IO).

Cryptopia has a user referral incentive sceme. There are lots of little exchanges that have potential especially for the small new coins. The Coss.io fee listing fee seems a bit steep. Since their size is about that of Tradesatoshi.com and their listing fee is a fraction of that and coins can get voted on there.

How long Cryptopia needs to activite verification 2 ? I send all pictures to them.

Their staff has been under lot of pressure due to exceptional growth with a lot of new users that have no idea about Crypto. It depends on whether they have all the information required to verify. Allow a week.

They admit themselves that their current staffing levels are under strain and support times less than ideal and they apologize for that.

Since this statement they have had another explosion of growth.

You are a piece of shit. You are holding coins, losing deposits, fucking up wallets, of coins that do not belong to you. You are an arrogant little slimy twat. You don't answer support tickets that have been delayed for weeks on end, yet you have time to be on here mouthing off. Fuck off crook.

This is exactly the type of abuse that their support staff has had to endure. We are not even staff there. Lafu cannot answer or have access to support tickets he is only an unpaid volunteer Chat Moderator like myself. We are passionate about Crypto so we dedicate some of our free time to help new users navigate the site and solve minor issues.

Rather than criticizing us you could use your expert knowledge to help new users in a similar way.

A lot of the coins that are lost are because inexperienced users are sending BTC to BCH addresses. ETC to ETH etc. They are sending ETH contracts while the wallet clearly states that it doesn't support contracts. They are failing to use reference ids for coins that require them. It all takes a lot of staff time to solve these user errors. Not any support staff can do that - a lot of it requires specialized knowledge.

A lot of exchanges won't even retrieve coins in such circumstances. Cryptopia does - but have a backlog. Even your favourite exchange Bittrex specifically states that cross chain recoveries is done in their own undetermined timeframe and carries a..wait for it.. 0.1BTC fee !

Developers are failing to notify the exchange of mandatory updates until after the event and wallet are unable to cope with the amount of transactions that they have to process. (Wallets designed and provided by the coin developers)  This causes unexpected down times

At least you are consistent in hating exchanges.

I made a couple of posts on the cryptopia forums, and puted one here, no answers only silence, ignoring...

The forums on there are not checked by Cryptopia they are only used by the users helping other users.

Occasionally an admin checks when something is flagged as inappropriate. The only way to resolve an issue is through a support ticket.

Unfortunately people post their problems on here and on there and never delete them once they are resolved. It is also impossible to check the accuracy of any of the issues.

The forums are still a bit of a dinosaur from when Cryptopia only had a few part time employees. They have grown a lot since then.

Good luck with that, having the same issue since more than a month, they managed to reset 2FA but the temporary PIN code to login never arrived, trying to send them a support ticket gives me a Error 500 since 4 days ...

You can contact them via support email: support at cryptopia.co.nz  (replace the at)

Cryptopia are closing subsatoshi market (no BTC trading) for Royalties (XYR) but the LTC and DOGE markets remain open for XRP, but I can't get the LTC or Doge "Buy Orders" to show up, it's stuck on "loading" Sell Orders are OK and other coins work OK, so is it Cryptopia at fault or something up with my PC setup ?

I have the same problem and to fix it I clear my cache history (settings browser data). Works every time.
2212  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: December 17, 2017, 12:13:47 PM

So you are saying they didn't perform the split and they don't have or didn't have any btg at all anytime.

I found it hard to believe.

I believe they made a great profit by saving btgs for them.

That is exactly what I am saying. They did not perform the split due to potential security concerns.

It would be very easy to see if they did a split on the block explorer if they did one.

I know several people who withdrew their BTC from the exchange to perform the split themselves. Personally I didn't bother because the amount of BTC I had on the exchange was minimal and I don't like forks.
2213  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: December 17, 2017, 11:19:34 AM
I carried out the transaction from my wallet to the deposit Cryptopia 300 PascalLite.
During the transaction, the deposit was available. The money was not credited to the Cryptopia account, but was debited from my account. Now the status of the wallet on the Cryptopia "Maintenance". I completely lost money? Cryptopia administration can not solve this problem?  Sad
Payment details:
Block/Op: 82911/5    DateTime: 27.11.2017 20:47:13  Amount:300 PASL
Two more payments for verification:
Block/Op: 83172/1    DateTime: 28.11.2017 20:39:09  Amount:5 PASL
Block/Op: 83173/1    DateTime: 28.11.2017 20:40:00  Amount:4 PASL

It pays to check before sending to any exchange that their wallet is not in maintenance.

The coins are not lost - it will appear in your account once the wallet comes out of maintenance.
When the wallet is out of maintenance and it has not appeared in your account just contact their support with a support ticket and the txid so they can investigate and manually credit your account.

I notice the Pascallite explorer is currently not working.

I suggest that language used by Cryptopia staff matches its business etiquette. Stay classy  Kiss

Lafu is a chat moderator that gives his time as a volunteer to keep the Cryptopia chat room from spam and flame wars.

Admins rarely come on Bitcointalk. Moderators are unpaid volunteers and Cryptopia doesn't and cannot censor their speech when they speak from a personal capacity.

Bitcointalk has gone downhill bigtime.  It is now an unmoderated place for shills and trolls. Legendary accounts are being sold to scammers and self moderated threads on here are usually a good sign that something is an actual scam (so they can delete all the comments they don't like) - so you can't win here as a genuine business.

If someone is SO intent on complaining about Cryptopia and making an accusation about scamming but refuses to give any identifiable specific evidence - ask yourself -
which coin is Kyle the developer or supporter of that got delisted from Cryptopia ?   Now they are out on a feeble attempt to harm the reputation of a successful exchange.

Crypto is still in its infancy and scaremongering might chase away some newbies - they are the only ones hurt by it.

2215  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: December 17, 2017, 02:42:59 AM
I have some funds stuck and a ticket not being answered for days now? can you help me with that ? Ticket number #74467.

Which coin ? I know there are a couple of wallets out of the 726 wallets they have that currently have some issues that are being resolved. I'm only an unpaid chat moderator there so I don't have access to support tickets . The admins don't go on Bitcointalk so it won't get resolved by posting it here. They have over 500 000 registered users so you can imagine that the amount of daily support tickets is huge.

Cryptopia has many more new users and small users than some of the other exchanges. A lot of small new users are attracted by the site rewards and tip bot. This means that while their overall volume may e lower than other exchanges - their servers are just as busy or busier. The amount of small tx's means that sometimes wallets are unable to cope with the volume of transactions and need to be restarted. Cryptopia is currently ranked #6 in crypto to crypto volume while their overall volume value is only #39.

Sycronising a large wallet takes much longer than a personal wallet that only has a few transactions - especially when the coin network itself may be struggling with high demand.

Please let me know what coin and I'll see what is happening.

I'm using cryptopia for some time but never face any problems.

Only thing i hate was they didn't give btg fork. I had 0.25 btc when the snapshot is taken and they just keep btg for themselves.

It is like stealing 75$ from me.

Hey dude there was ann about this !

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/News

Bitcoin Gold

Cryptopia is very opposed to supporting new coins which fork from BTC as they are inherently a giant undertaking for an exchange to do. The risk involved in forking BTC is not minor, and having to move all BTC in cold storage is even less minor; Cryptopia is gravely concerned that BCH has set a dangerous precedent for new coins being created and airdropped in this manner. BitcoinGold doesn't have the Developers, Community or verified information on how the fork will be conducted that assisted BitCoinCash in being split and adopted by exchanges. Cryptopia does not currently intend to perform the split, however we reserve the right to change our position should more information come to light.

Published  @ 10/17/2017 2:11:00 AM

Regards Lafu

I saw this before but it doesn't change anything for me.

Cryptopia got that btg right. They have every right not to list it. But they should open a withdraw option because it is not theirs, it is ours.

For example, check binance policy. It is marvelous. https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002793151-Binance-s-Policy-On-Any-Future-Bitcoin-Forks

There was plenty of notice. You could have withdrawn prior to the fork and performed the split yourself.

Cryptopia doesn't "have" the btg - they didn't perform the split because they deemed it to be risky.

Performing a split always contains some risk of losing your bitcoins. Bitcoin Gold only implemented replay protection at the last moment after initially saying they wouldn't have any replay protection.

Hah. Nice to see all of these twat assholes defending this criminal enterprise. Cryptopia is a fraudulent enterprise. End of story.

The only difference between Crypsty & GAW, versus Cryptopia is that that fanboys are still pimping it in the face of undeniable fraud.

Mark - Show me one user where that has actually been scammed by Cryptopia with details of the transactions and identifiable proof.  Yeah I think not.

I see that you have opted for the personal insults instead.
2219  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: December 15, 2017, 12:06:32 AM
Dudes at Cryptopia: please give a *public* update on your situation.  There's at least 3 currencies people have stuck withdrawals on.  Byteball, Monero etc... Some people have been waiting weeks.

Please start issuing public statements, before we start preparing for lawsuits ala Cryptsy.  Everyone is fearing an exit scam, we need something other than your copy-paste support ticket answers.

Their public announcements are on their website. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/News and official twitter feed.
Not on shitcointalk or other dodgy forums which rarely gets used by them  -  where people post their frustrations, hate campaigns and the pitchforks come out whenever a coin gets stuck. Of course none of these "frustrations" get deleted once it gets resolved.

Speaking from experience of working in a technical job. Sometimes when there is a problem - the cause of the problem is not yet known and is being investigated so no announcement can be made regarding the cause of the problem or solution until it is found. All this time the customer is impatiently calling and wanting "updates".

The conclusion above is that because 3 wallets (out of 726 by the way) are in maintenance, and some newbies that don't know how crypto works are complaining on forums, Cryptopia are crooks and running an exit scam?  Coins come out of maintenance once the issue with the coin has been resolved (usually caused by things like coin devs making mandatory updates and not notifying exchanges, wallets not able to scale, or more simple things that are usually fixed more quickly).

Go look at other exchanges, you will usually find they have a MUCH higher percentage of coins in maintenance, many permanently so.  Cryptopia is about the best out there in this regard.

Yes support is a bit slow at the moment, this is due to huge growth, they are busy hiring and training new staff to assist with this.  Unlike many other exchanges they are also a publicly registered company. Due to this the likelihood of them pulling an exit scam or stealing anything from users is zero. Cryptopia is fully legit.

Don't bother to reply with personal insults - Show me one user where that has actually been scammed by Cryptopia with details of the transactions and identifiable proof.  Yeah I think not.
