1601  Other / Politics & Society / Re: communist and human rights on: July 26, 2018, 10:48:52 PM
There are no communists and there is no communism. And THERE WAS NO communism at all throughout all human history. Communism never existed because it is impossible!
USSR was a socialistic country. Modern China is a socialistic country. But not communistic.

I guess that's what OP was trying to ask. If "the reds" have human rights Cheesy
Socialism is also impossible to sustain. Int always ends up draining the country, locking it down. Countries of the former Soviet Union are still recovering, trying to rebuild their economies to reach the Western model. I've been to countries that suffered from socialism. All you can see there are abandoned factories, concrete blocks, ruins and scrap in the streets. You guys should visit Lithuania for instance.

When systems start to fail they always leave behind ruins that cannot be maintained. There are many castle ruins in France and Britain that are evidence of their "failed feudal systems".  Abandoned US bases scattered around the world (evidence of their failed attempt of world domination ?)

When a country has been subject to sanctions - those sanctions are responsible for a lot of the abandoned projects. It is when a country runs out of money because other countries boycott them.

This doesn't look much more appealing to me. But does it mean the whole system failed ?

You cannot compare a flawed system and say it represents the ideology.

As an ideology communism has many appealing features - including basic human rights.

For instance - in a perfect communist ideology:

- A laborer isn't considered less worthy than a investment banker, property speculator, commodities trader or futures trader. All legal occupations that in a capitalist economy are known to rort the system and provide no real "added value". In a perfect communist ideology those occupations shouldn't exist.

- A person who is sick gets treated by a hospital - even though medication and equipment is lacking due to capitalist embargoes.

- A person who is homeless gets housing.

In a capitalist system a laborer would earn substantially less than a "investment banker:.

- Someone would not receive medical care if they could not afford it - even though there are ample resources available to provide the care.

- A homeless person would not get housing. - even though there is a surplus of housing.

The reason a lot of communist states failed is because they are boycotted by the capitalist countries.

Cuba was on track to do extremely well but was embargoed because communist ideology was a threat to America

I would argue that food, shelter and health care are more essential human rights to sustain life than "freedom of speech".

I would also add that without "freedom" - I would rather not be living.

(After the depression and war - Communism stated to look appealing to some people.)

One of the ways to avoid that from happening and threatening the oligarch empires is to have witch communist hunts.

Part of the reason communism doesn't work in practice is because there is no such thing as "perfect communism".

What we are left with is flawed capitalism, flawed communism and flawed socialism.

Which flavor of flawed system you prefer is based on your own flawed idealism or selfishness.  Grin

But are we really "free" under any of those system ?

The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.

Capitalism in practice isn't real capitalism. It is "state sponsored oligarchism" paid for by printing more money.

Instead of having dependent beneficiaries of those that have had hard luck. The beneficiaries that get the biggest bailouts are the big corporations and financial institutions.

Freedom - The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.

Act - See what happens when you stop paying your taxes, use or sell drugs. (none of which I recommend doing)
There are many laws that prevent us from acting in complete freedom.
Tax audits, traffic stops for alcohol testing, airport searches are example of things that show we don't have complete freedom. Try saying no to them.

Speak - See what happens when you shout "Allahu Akbar  !" in the middle of a shopping mall, greeting a police officer with "Hi Wayne Kerr"  or defame someone rich. (none of which I recommend doing)
There are many social norms and public nuisance laws that prevent us from speaking.

Think - See what happens if you hold some unpopular or taboo perverted beliefs.(none of which I recommend doing)
There are many social norms, expectations and even spy agencies that keep track of "dangerous" beliefs.

In the past - in capitalist countries - journalist, communists, homosexuals, Jews, Catholics were all kept an eye on for their "dangerous" beliefs.

How "free" you are is how free you feel and how well you have adapted to and adopted the system you live in.

This is not a problem with the merit system, this is a problem with the quality of the content and the sockpuppets. For reference: I have around 300 sMerit right now and nobody to give them to, nor do I plan to look through garbage to find someone. I'm still waiting for a destroy merit option.

Looks like it has the same odds as winning the national lottery as to squeeze a merit out of GrumpyKitty.  Grin

Perhaps having sMerit where you can choose to use it as a +merit or -merit is the answer.

Karma for what exactly? Was i selling a phishing script along with the domain? Get off your moral high horse i've seen WORST sold on here and you dont seem to mind, besides you do know the domain had other uses non-related to phishing, I merely used that as the selling point.

I do appreciate you helping out by making the thread and atleast preventing others from getting scam!

If you sell something that can be used for nefarious purposes then you contribute to part of the problem.

It is not being on a moral high horse. Not taking something that is not yours or encouraging others to do so is not "high morality" - it is common decency.

Topic:  Cryptocurrency VS Visa Transaction per second (TPS) comparison

First off, the transaction fees of the crypto currencies are cheaper. And secondly, it is faster because it runs on the blockchain technology. That is the main reason why it is done faster than applying for a visa.

Depends on which Crypto and how much you set for fees. When Ethereum got the Crypto Kitties or you fail to pay enough fees during peak times it is faster to apply for a visa.

And it seems there is a shortage of sluts available for members on bitcointalk

I am very interested to join your campaign dear manager, pleased give me a slut.

Hi Stawberries , I've left reply that i"ve been ranked up to member . If there's no sluts left for members can u tell me . Because don't to stay as Jr.member

Hello manager please tell me how many sluts are open in this campaign, can i join this campaign now freely or i think my chances are minimum to select in the campaign? Thanks

Hello manager let me express my interest if there is slut left and if am qualified.

Sex for merit? I think that is what he was trying to expose.

Chasing after them airdrop sluts and bounty sluts. Me being naive always thought they were after the free Crypto.

On May 19th my Bitcointalk account was compromised via bruteforce, However it wasn't until July 9th 2018 that i found out as i'm not very active on the forum.

wblockchain.info - phishing

Selling the following domain, I tested it for a few hours and got 10 hits.

So i assume if you know what you're doing this can be useful Smiley

Asking for $50 in BTC.

why would you do such thing as phish other peoples blockchain account. Don't youhave mony to get yourself money. You're supporting scammers here.

If you're this concerned you can always buy it and make the world a better place.

Was it karma perhaps ?

1609  Other / Meta / Re: Need moderators explanation for deleted post 2 days ago on: July 25, 2018, 03:09:03 PM

I think scam is so widespread and not everybody go to scam accusation board so it is quite fair that you attack against them in there ANN + Bounty thread.
Nothing should be considered Off-Topic when somebody is giving warning against scam.

Mods might have deleted it because it is just an accusation without a proof. Might be if you included the proof and challenged the tread creator to reply in Scam accusation board  then I do not think they will delete it.

The post that is deleted simply look accusation/threat without any proof and I think Mods are right.

ANN thread posted by hacked account. Fake team. Whitelabel website. Copied whitepaper. Fake business address. Multiple fake ICOs promoted by same hacked account.

No admin, moderator or DT on this site would be involved with such a scam.
Scammers are great at threatening - eventually they realize the game is up.
1613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: hamporn & tedchain ICO scam investigation + Darkwin hacked account on: July 25, 2018, 01:01:23 PM
Thank you for bringing this topic again.

It seems like, as i've mentioned earlier, that Hamporn has plagiarized it's whitepaper. Here are just a couple of examples (as there even more):

The technical claims are interesting as well because the website Hamporn is just a whitelabel version of JasminLive.

So it is a clone website that anyone can set up that gets data from content owners Duodecad IT Services.
Hamporn gets paid an affiliate fee for bringing in customers for Duodecad IT Services.

Duodecad IT Services are unrelated to the ICO.

Hamporn are effectively just affiliate re-sellers.

To my surprise the person who took-over the account is claiming to have a 'gaming platform' coin that goes by 'TedChain', I immediately reached out to the 'dev's and posted on their thread but was ignored.

I proceed by contacting them via Telegram to which they admitted that the account isn't theirs and claimed it was simply a "misunderstanding" but offered to buy it from me,
Seeing as they had decent community feedback i offered to sell it to them for $100 USD. For a company who claims to have a 'revolutionary' coin, They wasted my time and are now claiming to not have any money and that they're waiting to make money off the crowd-sale scheduled for July 17th.

I can't understand how you claim to have your account "hacked" and then offer to sell it to the "hacker".

Surely you can see the issue with that.

You are willing to sell your account for a $100 to someone you are accusing of being a scammer.

Hello everyone,

I'm making this post to make everyone aware of an alt-coin that goes by TedChain as it is a scam, Several days ago it came to my attention that my Bitcointalk account had been compromised.
To my surprise the person who took-over the account is claiming to have a 'gaming platform' coin that goes by 'TedChain', I immediately reached out to the 'dev's and posted on their thread but was ignored.

Yesterday, "Marc" from TedChain reached out and asked me to 'authenticate' the account is mine by showing him proof which i did as you can see by the screenshots, After providing him the proof which included screenshot of my Skype ID as seen below he went through the account and attempted to erase or edit all my previous thread in an attempt to get rid of any proof.

Thread Post-Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=560554

Further proof was sent to him showing the dates of the same thread being made on my other account from another forum found below, As you can see once again he went through and modified the threads but i have included the cached version:

So not only did the owner of this scam-coin takeover my account but now they are attempting to scam the Bitcointalk community as its obvious this isn't a REAL company or dev team but rather a vietnamese ripper,
On July 17th they plan on launching a "crowdsale" to get as much money as possible, We can prevent this by RT'ing on Twitter and help spread awareness. As for the account i have already contact Cyrus and am in the process of recovery.

1617  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 04:31:50 AM
I have another thought, how about adding "Reports" under "Posts"? this badge idea is actually brilliant and I hope that in the next few days you could find the best design to properly implement it, but having (good) reports added under our forum names also could do the job, it might even provide more incentive for people to compete and have a bigger report count.

Activity:
Merit:
Posts:
Reports: or RTM as short for report to moderator.
Reputation:

Just my zero satoshi.
Disclaimer: this is my idea but if somebody else has already suggested this please don't ban me for plagiarising, I might have picked this idea from somewhere but this post is from my head. also you should ignore the redacted part, that's something which I wish we could also implement but this is not the place to discuss it.

I like the badge idea better. Reporting is better pseudo-anonymous.

Just have to be careful that it doesn't get too "industrialized" with the reporting .

There is the risk with any incentive that the best intentions get used by those with malignant purpose.

For instance I can report an entire thread full of account farmers with a single report - or I can report each user individually to get a badge.

Re: vulnerability of the forum. slander in plagiarism

Re: [staff] xandry: may I ask an explanation?

Indirectly cover some of those issues where merit was used to reward those that gave good reports. It was done with the best intent by the moderators but was abused by some of the forum members.

Hey I'm not a troll, I will remember your name for the future when I post a thread about merit whores I will include your name to return the favor, just wait. Wink

Look, the above is trolling. I'd appreciate what you have done, posting this here might help theymos to wake up and see that some DT members are really abusing the trust system.
Trolling would be like going after a trusted member for doing completely nothing wrong, complaining about the actions of allegedly trusted individuals is not trolling.

You might notice that the word troll has not been mentioned by me when your name was mentioned. It also was strategically placed near to the bottom so it wasn't inadvertently associated with any financial dishonesty.  I'd rate it more as dysfunction / flame war / feuding. I could run it as a poll....?

As for whoring for merit. Honestly it wasn't me. Sex for merit? Wink (Nothing to see here)

But if you do write about it I would gladly link to it on this page as long as you provide a balanced story completely in my favor and don't post any photos of me in my mankini from the Bondage, Discipline, Sadism and Merit website.
1619  Other / Meta / Re: Instructions on how to use BBCode on: July 24, 2018, 11:30:57 PM
Actually I have already created a thread regarding [Tips] Bulletin Board Codes(BB Codes)(more than what help menu offers), but I didn't get any pleasant comments ( I think I'm a newbie in that time) rather getting a blame from a member for creating a thread(but I didn't get demotivated and move on). So if you have time can you look at my thread and you can add more functions from it.

The thing I want to highlight is some of the senior members(most of them are very helpful including you too) demotivate the Juniors(unless they are spamming) when they trying to help other newcomers to the forum. I can see the clear difference in the way expressing other members thoughts in this thread. Actually you have done a great job "xtraelv"

Sometimes older posts are not that easy to find. I did an initial search of bitcointalk and only found a few incomplete guides. Recent topics are oftennot indexed for a while so cannot be found using google search. The main reason I created the guide is because I wanted to have something that I could direct people to that wanted to use some of the functions but don't know how they work.
I don't usually write "help guides" because I enjoy documenting the history on here and am now collaborating on some history based projects with some others and helping them to get more familiar with the BBCode.

Some of the code shown in the post is not shown in the help guide. (Like how to insert links with text and quotes using an author - which is handy for quoting locked threads)

Certain topics do attract a lot of users seeking merits  - a classic example are the many "Who is Satoshi" posts. Making a Satoshi post can attract the same negative comments.  It doesn't mean you shouldn't make one. Just make a real good one. If you are documenting a new theory - make sure you send me a PM.  Grin
Pursuer summed it up well :

I opened this topic expecting one of those poorly repeated topics talking about Satoshi for the millionth time but I was surprised to see this nice compilation of all the theories so far. it was merit worthy.

I specifically like the "Samsung Toshiba Nakamichi Motorola" thing Cheesy

There are always a lot of threads about how to use @xtraelv

I looked for them and couldn't find the threads. There were good threads with just some of the features but none with all of it explained.

It was only after I posted it that I found out from Steamtyme that it is all in the site instructions - never mind - it exists now. (I Could have spent that time finishing another project)
