2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: User credentials used to empty user account. on: November 17, 2017, 11:12:19 AM
If your pin number gets stolen and used to take money from your account at a ATM or EFTPOS machine then whose fault is it:

1) User whose pin number was insecure ?

2) The bank ?

If people have their accounts accessed it is because they have either:

Used the same username and password on another site that got compromised.
OR
Been victims of a phishing scam

Some of the exchanges have had fake sites set up to look like genuine sites and the fake sites have paid google ads to be at the top of the google searches.

When logging onto any exchange ALWAYS type in the website name and check the security certificate.

Enable 2FA protection on all your accounts INCLUDING your email linked to the account.
Use a different unique email address for every exchange you use.

It this turned out to be a legit project?

No - it turned out a proven scam and even the shills have realized that now. Core Dev has disappeared after the webwallet was hacked.
2224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: **SCAM ALERT** SIGT holders scamming Cryptopia on: November 07, 2017, 05:37:15 AM
UPDATE: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2198496.0

The origional poster has been exposed as being part of a scam. The coin Signatum has almost collapsed (to date it is still listed on one exchange). The core DEV has run away leaving bagholders.  Leaving a hacked webwallet and a QT wallet with a likely keylogger and trojan.

I scanned my system with bitdefender and malwarebytes and havent found any virus. Im probably lucky and have a newer version of the wallet wich is clean

You can submit files to https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload before downloading them to your computer.
This prevents potential viruses even coming near your computer.
2227  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [PUMP AND DUMP] Signatum is just another clonecoin scam targeting naive noobs on: October 28, 2017, 09:37:50 AM
You offered really precious information here. Do you recommend a good AV?

You should always have a good firewall & antivirus
Avast (has free and paid versions)
Eset Nod32 (Windows only)
Kaspersky
are all good choices

Use other software to run malware scans. (e.g malwarebytes)

Also use good internet habits. Don't leave tabs logged onto important websites while your computer is unattended.
Don't klick on untrusted links in emails and don't load software from untrusted sites.
Keep updates up to date.
Avoid holding unnecessary funds on crypto exchanges
Avoid running wallets on important computers (run it on a Raspberry pi or spare computer)
Avoid running multiple wallets on a single computer (in case one has a trojan and steals your other crypto) POS staking makes your wallet potentially a lucrative target.
Avoid using social media / Don't use social media apps

That Steven Wilkinson - Chief Compliance officer looks just like a builder from London called Christian Boyd.

...and Dr Baloch Asif - Chief Security Officer looks just like "Dr" Asif Baloch from SARcoin, Digital Rupees, Signatum 1.0 coin failures.....

Dr Baloch Asif that was asked to leave Krypto Commerce.

It is only one version of the wallet that is thought to contain viruses

2230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [PUMP AND DUMP] Signatum is just another clonecoin scam targeting naive noobs on: October 23, 2017, 09:54:08 PM

The signatum qt wallet in fact contains a virus, doc used the wallet to ddos attack burstcoin
it contains a keylogger that in fact steals your passwords and coins if you run other wallets.
this was officially confirmed yesterday on the new signatum discord!

i highly recommend to delete this wallet and run an intensive virus scan on your pc if u used the sigt wallet

Good advise ! I'n not sure that your information is completely correct but it is certainly concerning and supported by the numerous warnings generated by one version of the wallet.

LOL. Looks like some Signatum bag-holders complained loudly enough and had my handy charts and graphs deleted from their Announce thread.

Your beautiful charts are still there. There has been a lot of posts since it was revealed that their core developer was a known scammer from Poolminers, Krypto Commerce, Sarcoin and Digital Rupees.

When the wheels started falling off - explorer not working, nodes turned off, websites inaccessible because their main Devs are missing....

It is when reality sunk in.

This is a snippet of their announcement (I copied and pasted the most relevant parts from their announcement - I have to give them credit for their new found honesty https://signatum.org/   )

Incase you are still interested in shitcoin, I present you the charts/graphs that the Signatum people don't want you to see.

All taken from YoBit

Sorry scrubs. Complain to the staff all you want. Your shitcoin is still shit.

EDIT: LOL. They fucked it up so badly the first time, and now are going for Signatum 2.0.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2303471.0

Hahaha I love the charts. While it is sad that people are loosing money - it injects some humor in the situation.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: October 22, 2017, 05:01:33 PM
You didn't answer my question. Are you a knight in shining armor? Why do you devote time here rambling on and on about copy and paste this and doc scammed that?  The coin is under a community takeover.  That doesn't make it a scam.  It's severing ties with doc and rebuilding.  Why do you keep repeating yourself?  The coin makes people 10% every single day, why? Because you fud, they respond you fud they respond.  You are the person that is making this coin a pump and dump....  Your constant regurgitation of the same information is causing the pump and dump.

Let me answer it instead:

Instamine takes place.

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD....ok but it was only minor.... the devs are entitled to some profit

Crowetic took over.

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD....ok it was a scam but fixed now

DOC helped Crowetic- admits to Ddos attack

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD....ok it was a scam but we forgive him

Cryptopia wallet crashes.

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD, Its Cryptopias fault burn their house down, hire heavies, sue them, swamp them with support requests....ok we replaced the wallet (but it wasn't necessary -still Cryptopias fault)... it is fixed now...yobit has no problems.....

Block explorers stops working.

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD, It got Ddossed...but it is sorted now...DOC fought off the attackers singled handedly - he's a hero !

Block explorer stops working altogether.

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD......eh the Devs gone with the passwords...

Core Dev turns out to be former Dev of several PROVEN scam coins

Signatum shills yell:  Its FUD, Its FUD......eh the Devs gone now (with the passwords)..so it is sorted now....but he might come back with the passwords...

Dishonesty and failures are not FUD.  They are dishonesty and failures and are relevant to talk about.

There is no and has never been a paid FUD campaign. Just about every scam uses that line. It by itself - is almost proof of a scam.

I've seen lots of people get scammed with ponzis, MLM, ICOs and shitcoins. One moment they are spamming forums and the next moment they are broke. Even though I hate the spamming - it is actually really sad to see. I've been long enough in crypto to have seen it far too many times. A lot of the people cannot afford to loose the money - they ain't rich.

If you have a good coin there is no need for dishonesty - if something fucks up - admit it and fix it. If you believe in it - put your real name to it so people can decide whether you are trustworthy (or sue you if you are not) . If you do marketing don't mislead and don't use sockpuppets to promote it.

Fakery isn't HYPE. Fakery is SCAMMING

Crypto has so much potential and the scams are giving the good honest projects a bad name.

Lifipp -
message to those ppl:
1. If you hate this project so much and you are not satisfied with the results of Dev's work - just fucking sell and leave, nobody's holding you here
2. If you still holding and believing in this project then stop fucking asking about Doc, price and progress - do some fucking meditation to learn how to be patient, jesus the project is 4 months old and they wanna go to outer Space with their spaceship bought for sigt....

a nice example from signatum discord this is how they treat people if they are seriously concerned about thier lost money.....

LOL You're in trouble now.... You'll be put in the PINK corner....

2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: October 22, 2017, 02:47:38 PM
@xtraelv

Can you add signatum back on cryptopia?
Wallet upgrade and no more Pow mining. Stable on yobit and nova.

And "Doc" is found and probably gone for good. Evil repelled.

Isn't its time for reconciliation and show your good side to this community?

I don't work for Cryptopia - what makes you think I have any influence there ?

I doubt they will ever list anything from anyone remotely connected to this coin considering all the hassle that was caused.
I don't think they will easily forget that their home addresses were listed complete with threats to burn down their house.

Besides - there are other issues with the code. It is a copy paste. It isn't that hard to copy and paste a coin but it is difficult
to keep a coin maintained. When things go wrong new code has to be written that requires more skill than just copy and paste.

Show me where the skunkhash raptor algo is - you can't - because it isn't there.

while it has a reference to it and appears as:

#include "obj/skunkhash/sph_skein.h"  (from bytecoin)
#include "obj/skunkhash/sph_cubehash.h" (from cubecoin)
#include "obj/skunkhash/sph_fugue.h" (from FugueCoin)
#include "obj/skunkhash/sph_gost.h" (from SIBCoin ?)
#include "obj/skunkhash/raptor.h" - only referenced in the code - IT HAS NO FUNCTION OR PURPOSE

Further in the coding there is no more reference of it.

The algos used are all regular Algos from other coins.

#define fillz() do { \
    sph_skein512_init(&z_skein); \
    sph_cubehash512_init(&z_cubehash); \
    sph_fugue512_init(&z_fugue); \
    sph_gost512_init(&z_gost); \

The DOC was asked about it before and just avoided answering it. That is because it is pure BS.

People got Skunkhash raptor fucked !

Roger, we would even be happy to see you back, James is back yes, but he took some grief for his actions, we are not in the business of removing people for a laugh, if the person breaks discord rules or disrespects others,

they are kicked that simple, nothing stops them coming back, and behaving themselves.

That does not make us lemmings, nobody minds if you rave about Doc or Signatumd and if you have proof even better, present it to the community to help them move forward, but please, propaganda over current Devs is

uncalled for, they are working hard to turn this "Doc" crap around, we aim to keep things transparent, it was never our sole intention to move towards self-moderation, however, this thread is drowning in lies,

and the truths are not coming through loud enough, just being drowned in fictitious assumptions regarding current development.

People will call the new thread an “Echo Chamber” but what is this thread right now, if not an “Echo Chamber” for propaganda.

I WANT an interview with DOC - alias :  "Dr. Asif Masood Baloch PhD" explaining why he vanished right on the POS start
and what the purpose of this signatum project was and most important how much money he made with the coins he sold at POS start when price dropped
a 50 % from 1100 to 550

the DOC is in these projects: brustcoin zion coin, and digital rupees now - just check out the team members...
this are his profiles - check for yourself guys:

and his bitcointalk account:

I have some doubt that Dr Asif Masood Baloch is real as well. Since Nexxuspartners "Chief compliance officer - Steven Wilkinson" looks very much like a builder called Christian Boyd from London.

WHY IS YOBIT WALLET NOT BREAKING?

IS CRAPTOPIA CLAIM A CRAP?

To put it bluntly, yes.  Think the de-listing was more a result of the abuse Cryptopia received, after putting wallet in maintenance.

1) Sigt Devs updated the wallet after Cryptopia wallet crash (despite their claims that it was not necessary and denials that the wallet was at fault) - so Yobit and Nova have an updated wallet.

2) Yobit has nowhere near the volume that was traded on Cryptopia. On 8 august it traded US$2.9 million volume in 24 hours. Since being delisted it has rarely exceeded $50K in 24 hours.

3) Because it is POS now Yobit doesn't have users consistently POW mining to their exchange wallet - despite warnings not to do so.

Listen to the interview and see if you still think this coin isn't run by scammers.

Is this exchange for US resident?
Cryptopia is an incorporated company based in New Zealand and works in compliance with New Zealand laws:
Terms of use and any matters or disputes connected with the site are governed by New Zealand laws and will be dealt with in New Zealand courts. New Zealand law does not bar US residents from using the site but you need to make sure yourself that there are no laws in your own jurisdiction barring you from using overseas services and you need to ensure your own compliance with IRS requirements.

I am trying to do a withdrawal of an eth supported token centra and it has been processing for more than an hour now.Is there any kind of maintenance going on due to the eth hard fork?

Can someone from the team respond to my query?

Cryptopia staff generally do not monitor bitcointalk posts. You will need to open a support ticket to get a response.
