2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The paradox of arbitrage betting (and how to make money on it) on: March 14, 2022, 01:08:06 PM
The problem is that bookmakers (at least in my country) fight successful bettors not only on formal grounds (prohibition of arbitrage bets, multi-accounts for receiving bonuses, etc.) but also simply because such bettors are profitable. It can be called differently, like a ban on "value betting", but basically, for no reason, successful bettors have their betting limit reduced and they are practically deprived of the opportunity to bet at least some significant amounts.
It's normal that they will prohibit shady acts including arbitrage betting because that can make them lose in the long run but to prohibit the bettor that wins in a normal and fair way? I guess there is something with the way they think. We should stop playing on them immediately, there are now lots of sports betting sites online and some can allow VPN so that you can still access them if your country is often on the banned list.

In trading, there was also arbitrage but never heard they disallow it but, they only make it a little harder for the trader. They increase the fees and minimum withdrawal so that it discourages someone to do arbitrage.

What I don't see happening here is the OP mentioned that casinos may possibly exchanging info of their players?
I don't think they are doing that, unless, they are sister companies. But if not, I don't think competitors are talking to each other.
Anyway, some bettors are really earning from this strategy, but this is not for all. It requires patience and techniques to get your profits.
But I do believe that some players are trying this strategy for themselves especially if they know very well the sports.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 14, 2022, 12:19:00 PM
Given that Tagoe have much more experience than Garcia, then I'm looking forward that he will use his IQ in the ring to test Garcia on his limits if the latter can still dance until the 12th round. We know that Garcia and Oscar cherry picked this one but hopefully Tagoe will at least give it a good fight.

Sometimes experience doesn't work against a quality fighter, I'm saying that Garcia has more quality fights compared to Tagoe, and to be honest, I don't recognize the boxers that he beats unlike Garcia who beats popular boxers in the past.

I can understand that Garcia is more popular among boxing fans, but we can't ignore the fact that Tagoe may give him a good fight based on his record.
They may have cherry picked this fight but they should not be very confident about the outcome.
Garcia's camp should be training hard and not taking this for granted. Even if the gap of odds is bit wide for this, highly favoring Garcia.
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON’S MATIC or Solana on: March 14, 2022, 12:00:14 AM
In fact, POLYGON'S MATIC and Solana are both very good and it's hard to choose between them, but I tend to prefer MATIC a bit more because of the good growth in a year compared to Solana's growth in a year can be clearly seen through the following comparison:

Investing in both coins is good, but for me I prefer investing in Matic because of the good growth in a year as well because its price is low compared to Solana, so you can buy larger quantities at a lower price and store them for a long time.
Of course here I have a better idea than looking at your chart. Matic from Solana is definitely very good here.Again two coins but very popular. But lately we have noticed that although the market has been dumping, the highest dumping here has been Solana. So the Matic token from Solana is popular with me.

Both platforms for me are promising as trading platforms are integrating both of these networks in their options.
The fees are quite cheaper also than existing ERC20 network, which of course, is the main reason why these new chains are getting popular.
But we still need to see which of them can truly attract good projects. Because if the dev and users are satisfied, they will endorse it to others.
By the way, I saw one casino using the Polygon network in their USDT withdrawal and I can say, it is very cheap with 0.05 USDT as fee.
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: March 13, 2022, 11:37:23 PM
The thing I've noticed most about new entrants into the crypto sphere is this...

They hope that they're going to earn some Bitcoin and get rich.

The reality is that they spend it on shitcoins and go broke.

I say this tongue in cheek, but seriously, I can't tell you how many friends I have that I've been trying to get into Bitcoin since it was $2.  They'll literally buy any $0.02 shitcoin they can find hoping that by some miracle it goes up to being worth thousands, market cap be damned...  I think part of it is education and the other part is thinking that getting rich in crypto is easy.  It isn't.  Most of the time it involves a lot of hard work, or a lot of luck.  If you're going the luck route, know there's an extremely high chance you are not going to make it.

I can understand your sentiments here but by now, those friends of yours should already know how to spot a crappy coin.
Once these newbies got screwed or something, they will learn their lesson well.
For those who will not give up, they will educate themselves. But for don't, and get out fast, usually they are the ones spreading misinformation.
They are only basing from their experience and usually they are emotionally ruined by their past experience, hence, the bad insights.
2265  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetJA.com | The highest Payout + $1000 Prize for BET Free Every Week on: March 13, 2022, 10:59:17 PM
I write you BetJA.com 2 emails , but you do not answer me.
I can't log in to my account after I requested a withdrawal of 80 USDT.
I'm writing here to you to look at my account

I would take it easy with the site, you have such a low amount that you want to be paid out that I can't imagine that would cause problems. And maybe they have to check some things to verify, for example, that's not unusual when you request a payment for the first time. They also have an op on the forum who will no doubt respond and they may also respond to your Emails. So far there are no complaints at all about this site.

@sedna1, have you tried contacting the betja support via telegram - @JASupport24.
They are prompt in answering queries or concerns via this channel.
Maybe, try to communicate with them as they may not see your post here right away.
So far, I haven't seen any complaint towards this site. Because if there was any before, they resolved it as soon as possible.
2266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 13, 2022, 09:44:27 PM
Snipe
If there is one thing I could say to you now is that, there is one standard to any form of crypto or even fx trading. There could be only principles to guide you on a path buy the path is not definite. That's why it is advocated that traders develop a trading strategy that suits them, apply it and when you find it to be producing positive results, you stick with it. At least for the times it still works becuase, the pattern the market assumes changes from time to time.

These doesn't mean the journals are any less useful or meaningless. They tend to point you to a path and aid you in developing a pattern. Have you ever wondered what history is to human existence?
The journals are the keepers of these histories and they serve a purpose in relating what has been, what is happening now and aid in the prediction of what could happen next.
The crypto market is constantly changing but it does not mean that history becomes useless anymore. Its even a good guide for us as there are times that history repeats in the market. And knowing that, having trading journal can be more helpful in guiding us to be more of an efficient trader by knowing all our strengths and weaknesses in trading. That way, we can focus ourselves on the things we need to improve and things we need to retain to make our trading more successful.

Of-course, history do repeat itself on a rare case. Because the cryptocurrency have different reasons to it's price change. So traders who use Journals to trace back how they traded in the past just to utilize on their present trading may be making a huge mistake. When I said trading journal is useful in the future is just for reference purposes.

If you are too lazy to make a trading journal, you can always view your trading history in the exchange platform.
Every exchange has their own tabs on how to see your trading history. So you don't need to bother to write it in your journal if you don't have time.
And in crypto trading, hard to repeat what has been done as every coin has their own market performance, so it means, your strategy changes from time to time.
But you can learn some tips or tricks that you can use the next time around. With or without trading journals, those tricks will be of use once you go back in trading.
2267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 12, 2022, 11:41:44 PM
How about this for an improvement: BTC mining vs. BTC possession. Moreover, what is the reason?
In other words, if I had a 40k right now, should I buy a model such as the Antminer L7, for instance? Purchase a single bitcoin, if that is your preference.
Lets not furthermore this conversation and answer direct to the Point.
"BUY BITCOIN" and of course add some small part for Altcoins , we knew how expensive mining business now because the electricity and the harder bitcoin can be mined nowadyas.
So best not to deal with mining and just buy Bitcoin Right away .
Sometimes it seems as if people like to complicate themselves without any need, bitcoin mining without a doubt is a profitable business but it has several issues that need to be addressed if you are to become a successful miner.

One of the most obvious is what would you do in the case mining is declared illegal where you live? This happened at China and miners there had to relocate themselves really quickly to avoid violating the law, can you do something like that? Most small miners cannot do it, and in that scenario it would have been way better for them to just buy bitcoin and forget about mining.

Yes Indeed, Another thing is mining difficulty, if is it too much time consuming to find out the exact hash then you will lose ultimately.

Electricity prices are not the same in all countries. Bitcoin mining is by no means profitable in countries where electricity has to be used at high prices. Another issue is the temperature, in most cases, Bitcoin mining is very profitable in the winter major countries where electricity is available at low prices.

On the other hand, anyone can buy Bitcoin in any situation and make a profit from it. So, there is a chance of passive income for both miners and investors, so you don't have to regret if your area is not compatible with the setup mining farm.

There are so many considerations when you go into mining, whereas, if you just buy, you only need to secure your wallet.
However, it doesn't mean that if you will buy, there is a guarantee of profit because it depends on when will you sell your bitcoin.
Should be of course, higher than your buying price. But there are some cases that a holder sell off at a lower price because of panic.
In this scenario, you should know your goals and stick with it. If you are here for short-term, better weigh your options.
But mining is not for all. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication before you can see your profits here, aside from the fact that energy consumption plays a significant role when it comes to this activity.
2268  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the effects of soaring prices and fiat depreciation is on BTC? on: March 12, 2022, 11:03:03 PM
My idea is that there can be money devaluation which is normal right from when fiat was created in a way to help the economy, even all the world are experiencing fiat devaluation as a result of Covid-19, even the war between Ukraine and Russia may contribute more to this which can take years.

But what is still getting me confused is that we do not know what will be bitcoin all-time-low from 2020 to 2024 would be, if the price of bitcoin is decreasing, it will be more profitable for people that buy at the lower price (but waiting can be a way someone can miss the next bull run).

In long term speculation, if someone can hold bitcoin for long, like for 2, 3 or more years, buying during this time will not be a bad idea at all, but there can still be more downturn. With $69000 all-time-high, bitcoin has reduced in price to $39000, if someone buy bitcoin now and hold it for long and if he is not panic during downturn, but smiles and waiting for bull run, certainly bitcoin will reach all-time-high and this will be an hedge against inflation.
+1 , the devaluation will always there no matter what , that is the nature of money itself.

Just like the inflation, that's why bitcoin invented.
Isn't it as a money revolution as well as an inflation hedge, no? People will always run into bitcoin from now on when they looking for a safe haven from such uncertainity of depreciation / inflation.

Maybe not all, but a lot of them will notice the crypto market as possible alternative to invest their assets.
Some will still stick to tangible assets like precious gems, real-estate assets.
We can't expect everyone to get involved with crypto because some of them have no idea how to transact with crypto.
Though some will try their hands on crypto because of what they are reading from the news, which can drive more adoption.
2269  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 12, 2022, 10:29:41 PM
This is why we should never believed and fall for FUDs because it will only lead us to losses. I guess the only thing that could combat FUDs is to keep on making DYOR. Our biggest fears, uncertainties and doubts will never ruined us if we always have the right information in front of us. It's always an edge for traders and investors to know what is the real situation in the market so that we can take advantages on every market's situation.
That is why FUD works, people now rely on social media for most of the information they get during the day, and if they read that there is something wrong with the market then they are going to believe it even if that is not true at all, it is because of this that it is important to do our own research and we learn how to read the markets as well, as a quick glance to the market charts can be all what is needed to know that information is not true and we can avoid making an expensive mistake.

Education is the key not to fall from FUD or any other misleading posts from social media.
A lot of them have no idea what they are saying, just to create some nonsense posts.
But sadly, some people will believe what they are saying especially those accounts with large following.
If you don't want to be victimize by these deceptive posts, start educating yourself about the facts.
2270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin wallet suddenly activates after 11 years on: March 11, 2022, 11:45:08 PM
It seems to me that if the article had omitted the word "Satoshi" there would
be far fewer people infatuated by the possibility of Satoshi's involvement.

Quote
Is That You Satoshi? Over $20,000,000 in Bitcoin (BTC) Suddenly Moves After Lying Low Since 2010

You see most of us are interested in the romanticism and intrigue of historical
wallets with big amounts coming to life, less so about the owner and the effects
on the market.

People love to know the mystery of something.
And this of course won't be an exemption to the prying eyes of the crypto community.
Such huge amount will indeed trigger an alert here. Though we don't know if it is Satoshi or not.
Whoever it is, we won't know him unless he himself will disclose his identity.
Either way, just mind your own business as digging into this will not give you any benefit.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 11, 2022, 10:57:47 PM
Shakur is obviously taunting Oscar since he know that he is the crowd favorite and he is hungry for this match because he keeps following Valdez title while Valdez keeps dodging him by going to higher weight class and vacating his title. This match is actually surprising considering how underdog Valdez to Shakir while Valdez keeps choosing a mismatch opponent. I will definitely go for Shakir on this match because he was proven unstoppable despite many strong opponents he faced in his previous match. Valdez face is easy to bleed a hard puncher like Shakir will gonna have a frenzy time chasing him inside the ring.

This is definitely a mismatch IMHO.

Blame Uncle Bob for it all  Grin.

Top Rank is building Valdez and TBH I'm quite surprised on this move the Top Rank to have this match early as we have seen in the past how they manage the career of their boxers where they pit their best when they are not in their peaks.

IMO, this is not a mismatch, Shakur is just the favorite because of his defensive style of boxing but one power punch could change it all in boxing and we all know that Valdez has that kind of power that could change the outcome of the match if given the opportunity.

Promoters are highly considering how much money they can generate from the fight.
So maybe Top Rank is seeing that this match will give them good revenue and they need that money because of the long break in the past couple of years.
They won't make this fight happen if they are not seeing something profitable for this match.
But as far as I know, a lot of boxing fans don't like a defensive style because it is too boring. A lot still want a toe-to-toe fight as much as possible.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaires and Bitcoin on: March 11, 2022, 10:29:21 PM
There's a likely that when the situation even gets worse, they're going to use a way to hide all of their wealth and as much as they can save it from the sinking economy and to avoid the freezing if it's being held by a financial institution.
Well, these billionaires can also be tricky, they can just simply put their money into different assets like gold, real estate, bonds and other investments aside from bitcoin.

Let us put it this way, they won't reach their status if they don't know what they are doing.
They know better more than anyone how to manage their assets, with or without crisis.
Besides, they have other people taking care of their wealth.
So for me, they don't need advise from us because they know more than anyone how to secure their assets.
At this stage, if they are a billionaire, they already surpassed a lot of challenges along the way.
And they very well know where to put their assets in case of possible challenge in the horizon.
2273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 10, 2022, 11:54:28 PM
Why the price of Bitcoin could go below that price level just because of having sanctions on exchanges about Russia?
It will be always on the market, buyers and sellers will decide on it. If people will treat that news or sanctions as negative and they choose to sell, then I am positive that the price of Bitcoin will decrease.

The possibility of freezing the Russian accounts on these exchanges is always there.
But I don't think they will sanction the exchanges as a whole.
Their customers are across the globe so putting a sanction is not a very good idea.
But of course, if that happens, definitely there will be price "crash".
It may be temporary but who knows? I guess, that situation is yet to be seen.
2274  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Invasion is affecting Sports Economy. on: March 10, 2022, 10:53:37 PM
The people of Russia have been thinking for too long what to do with such economic-destroying sanctions. Now every day of their inaction throws the Russian economy back for months, or even years in development. Losses due to the impossibility of the participation of Russian athletes against this background already seem like a trifle.
Today there were negotiations between Russia and Ukraine at the level of foreign ministers, and again to no avail. Russia even refuses to stop shelling the peaceful cities of Ukraine. Therefore, the sanctions will only increase and it will be fair. Either the people will remove their evil dwarf Putin (now Putin is already called the Antichrist, whom Nostradamus also mentioned), or they will suffer even more, and in several generations.
can you give me a link of information that putin is nicknamed like that? good any media. I don't understand that far about the conflict there, many have criticized in various countries about this heroic action, how not, this so-called opponent seems to have given up but the attackers continue to bombard ruthlessly, we have the United Nations which we must unite. much more than that please give me more information, about putin and this aggression. if there were no statements about an indication of state defense for war, there would probably be no loss of life and the economy would remain stable

I believe the nickname comes from the Ukrainian woman as per this video.

https://www.cnbc.com/video/2022/03/07/putin-is-a-war-criminal-the-antichrist-says-ukrainian-woman.html

UN can't retaliate violently here, they have other considerations before they will assist Ukraine and it may not be the same violence.
Ukraine seems not giving up even if they are losing manpower and weaponry. Seems that neighboring countries are helping on their own ways.
But they can't wage war over Putin for some other reasons. We just hope that Putin will stop as the whole world is watching.
2275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value more if no Altcoins or not on: March 10, 2022, 10:10:13 PM
Is it true that bitcoin is not affected by the altcoins?

bitcoin is not affected by any altcoin, but with the emergence of many altcoins they create a market where it has competitiveness and attracts more investors, so altcoins are also responsible for the growth of this cryptocurrency market. I'm not someone who invests in new altcoins and I'm also in favor of freedom of choice, I don't think there should only be bitcoin, that wouldn't be good, the way the market is in my opinion is very good
If there were only bitcoin surely the growth could've been very low than the present. As said when there is competence, automatically there'll be growth. Bitcoin came into existence as an alternate to traditional fiat. More and more features addition lead to the existence of more and more altcoins. The market is in good shape with the combined move of bitcoin and altcoins.

Competition is what makes bitcoin stand out among the rest.
If only bitcoin exists up until this day, you may be right, the growth may be slow.
The existence of other alts is significant on recognizing the role of bitcoin in the market.
Without them, you may not appreciate what bitcoin is. With the comparison, you can distinguish the difference between btc and other alts.
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FC Barcelona may issue official NFT and enter the Metaverse on: March 09, 2022, 11:59:05 PM
Barcelona football club has been experiencing financial problems lately. The club needs money to return to its glory days. They may have put the metaverse and NFT developments on their agenda to stop this financial recession. Because they can earn large amounts of financial income from here (So they can breathe a sigh of relief). I think fan tokens have great potential. They can gain serious momentum after the pandemic.

It is only a matter of time before other Clubs will be joining this NFT/Metaverse hype.
I can understand the significance of NFT to these Clubs, because they do have reason to exist.
So yes, this will be a very good source of additional income to them while they are recovering from this pandemic effect.
They have good following already, so implementation is just needed so these fans can reach out to them in this new way of connecting to people.

@OP, you should at least provide your reference link so we know that this news is valid. Though we can also make a quick search on this topic.
2277  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: March 09, 2022, 11:37:34 PM
Then wouldn't the west be forced to forcibly ban every type of safe-haven asset there is? Plus, even if they did try to do this, as I said in another post of mine, they're trying to preserve their individual wealth, in the overall scheme of things, Bitcoin adoption would not save the economy of Russia with all the sanctions placed on them. In the end the damage implemented by the sanctions will stay and will be felt by the country, whether adoption happens or not imo.

And even if they did, I don't think the west would ban crypto. It's a move that basically does nothing, might as well just strictly regulate Russia instead.

They don't need to ban crypto because Russians are going to Chinese Yuan.
So even if there is no more US$ on their soil, these people have found Yuan to be a good alternative to USD.
But when it comes to crypto, banning is just futile as there are so many options to take to go around the government.
We will know what will happen in the next couple of months regarding this crisis.
2278  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 09, 2022, 10:39:33 PM
To the casino would like to promote here I guess they need to make sure they are on the proper board to make sure the answer of their question is related to the response of the member, one of the best is to make a good reputation here in the forum such as creating their banners, what are their objectives to easier to make insight to the members if they are good to use or not, next if they make a good quality service is releasing signature is one of the best so many members will make an option to play a gambling, most of the known casino here too using an event as the different contest can be done like an art contest, and etc.
Marketing should be standard not only on this industry but also in other industries as well on which exposure is a must but the most important thing is on what the site is offering about and
also design/UI/UX would really be crucial when it comes to overall possible success that you could get into this market. Exposure would be useless if the site offering and appearance
isnt really that good thats why you should really be putting emphasis or focus on this one.

It is worth to promote a casino or any project if the platform itself is ready.
But if the casino is still in the development stage and still a lot of things to be fix on the site, promotion is just useless.
It will create negative impression and some may won't try the site if they have bad experience with it.
A sincere casino will make sure they are launching a pretty decent site ready for the traffic.
2279  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 🦉 DRAKE x STAKE 🥩 - Watford FC & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 08, 2022, 11:44:43 PM

In this case it could be the first time it was used for real. However, I do not have the data for it so it is just a hunch and because I know them. They were the biggest at the time when dice websites first started out to be off-chain, before that it was satoshidice but they were on-chain and nowhere to be found now. And ever since those days, they grew bigger and bigger and bigger. Then came in Stake and they used all that information and experience into making this the biggest. Now they have partnerships with Watford, UFC, an important fighter in UFC, and now Drake as well. Maybe they are not the biggest, or maybe they are, I do not know, but they are %100 up there fighting for the top spot very clearly, even if people think they are not the biggest, nobody can deny that they veeeery close to it. This is all in "crypto casino" world of course, there are real life casinos with tens of billions of dollars in profit, thats not what I am talking about.

I don't have any doubt about the "Biggest". Yes, Stake is the Biggest Online casino. I don't think any other casino is even close to them in terms of size/big. I don't know about the offline casinos because they have a lot of branches. Even though offline casino has a lot of branches, IDK if they have 15K Customers all the time. The stake has 15K Online, At least 10K online all the time. So, I think they are the biggest Online/offline casino. No? Beat me, guys. About The "Best". I don't think so. There are a lot of casinos that provide better service than Stake. But, They are not much famous. People always follow trends and in the casino industry Stake is a Trend. I hope stake will improve their service as much as they getting bigger than ever.

I have no idea who the "biggest" is or what metric would be used to determine such a thing...  Revenue, profits, players, amount gambled, who knows?

What I do know is that I have yet to see a celebrity endorsement for an online gambling platform that was bigger than Drake.  He's even giving bitcoins away to friends who he wants to see have success going forward.  Just those giveaways are bringing attention to crypto, let alone the fact that he's now actively promoting Stake.  I think a lot of Drake fans are fans of his moneymaking skills, and are likely to follow his money making ventures, even if they're gambling on Stake.  I'd be curious what the actual impact of users has been since the Super Bowl and if Stake considers it a success or not.  Might be useful to other companies looking at celebrity endorsements.

At the moment, a lot are considering stake as one of the biggest crypto casinos out there.
Though the term biggest depends on the category, but more likely, it is about revenue, profits, players combined.
Of course, they won't disclose their revenue as well as profits to the public.
But if they can afford to get Drake on board, that means something with the financial capability of the casino.
Though other casinos are mainly employing sports athletes, stake is now adding a music mogul in their list of endorsers.
Or maybe, it just so happen that Drake is already a long-time stake player and a high roller himself, why the casino got noticed of him.
2280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Highest in history on: March 08, 2022, 10:58:25 PM
I'm not expecting ETF's effect to be that very big. What I'm expecting is the news that it builds that shall create the positive effect to the market.
What is a better take is not just look at the highest or all time highs of bitcoin in the history. But also to look at the all time lows, this is a very encouraging and optimistic part of history that shall make you believe that there's more and better price that will come in the future.

I strongly believe, the ATH last year can be surpassed in the next coming years.
It may not be this year but if the adoption is growing and the demand is continuously increasing.
The probability that we will see another ATH is very high. We can't tell the highest peak yet as its market is still alive.
For those who want to see the positive side, you're right, just think of the all time lows, and you will be encouraged to invest on btc.
