Thanks for the information. Can you explain this further: It's just a case of the more popular it gets, the smaller the block reward becomes. Is there ever a situation where the block reward would increase? What stat would I look at to know that it is more popular (leading to lower block reward)? Is it supply or network hashrate or something else? Go to the stats page of bitbar.info, it's ran by someone who is a member here. There's also a blockexplorer ran by dreamwatcher i think its something like btb.cryptochainexplorer or something... google if thats not it lol

Buying your WorldCoins at 30 LTC per 1k (3 LTC / 1k WDC) Get it whilst it lasts! This is above the market rate so a good deal. I've done tons of trades on here in the last month!

Are you sure about these?
I thought it was no limit besides the 10 minute per block rate.
Also I know the difficulty changes with the network hash rate (which would put the blocks under or over 10 minutes) but I think the block reward (currently: 0.149218 BTB) decreases with time.
Can any of the developers confirm this?
There's no absolute upper limit on the money supply. It's the same with PPCoin, Novacoin, Yacoin (all based on the same source code). Sunny is the developer of the PPCoin code on which bitbar and those others are based on. It's just a case of the more popular it gets, the smaller the block reward becomes. We can still make predictions though

Price is on the way back down.

After 8 hours it's finally picked up a connection. Blockchain being downloaded

I have a dual boot machine. Both Win7 64 bit and Win 8 64 bit. The qt client is working fine on both OS. I just booted into windows 8 and downloaded the qt client from worldcoin.in. Installed and instantly got 6 connections to the network and its syncing blocks now.
I appreciate it's working for you and other people. But there are also people like myself and others who it's not synching for correctly. I don't think it's an OS issue but something is not right. I count 4 people on the last two pages with issues like myself.

If you used the search function you would know I have already tried that.

Unfortunately Worldcoin-qt also will not update and download the chain for me. I had not even bothered to update it. However now it is urgent - this needs fixed yesterday! Another person reporting problems syncing.

There are hundreds of people using this, there is nothing wrong with the client. As test just then I downloaded the Windows client onto one of my mining machines from the official site worldcoin.in and launched it, took about 2min to find 4 active connections and it's happily downloaded the block chain now. I don't have a .conf file
Magnet is having the exact same problem as me, read the others posts on this page. It working fine for you doesn't mean there is nothing wrong, use your brain. Yup, and if I can't run the client, I won't trade WDC when they hit an exchange. I never leave coins on an exchange, wallet only. Like you I have a lot of wallets on my computer already, maybe one of those is interfering with it? This is the first wallet I've ever had problems with and I have a lot of them from the past couple of weeks.
