2521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G20 to propose worldwide crypto rules in October on: July 12, 2022, 01:29:53 PM
Plenty of 'experts' are saying that the crypto industry should welcome the regulation with open arms, as centralization would, apparently, further stabilize the market and protect the investors' funds
If G20 want to make a proposal, they should compose their write-up and send it to: bitcoin-dev@lists.linuxfoundation.org. Bitcoin proposals are community driven. If a majority disapproves of them or if consensus is just not found, they are rejected.

If they still want to move on with their change, they can fork themselves off the network, but 'til there. Authorities hold no more power in this place. What "should" or "should not" happen is down to users to decide.

Its just more scaremongering. They have been trying to scare the people to do with their Bitcoin as the regulators wish ever since Bitcoin was invented. They have never succeeded and never will. But they continue, trying as hard as they can to disrupt Bitcoin is some way. Their scaremongering methods are becoming more and more grand, now even going as far as involving the G20. However the scaremongering remains inefficient.

They will never succeed. They will fail, their banker criminal friends will fail and Bitcoin will stand.

should we panic now, or wait a few months?

I say we panic now.

Overall, bitcoin price trimmed gains and traded below the USD 21,200 support. If BTC fails to stay above the USD 19,500 support, it could gain bearish momentum in the coming sessions.

Also, I am not sure whether or not Bitcoin is dead yet. Can you post a BTCUSD chart with arbitrary lines and triangles?
2524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to be a blockchain based developer ?? on: July 11, 2022, 12:34:07 PM
Hello All! i would like to Become a blockchain developer But i have no any basic knowledge of coding or blockchain  . i was encouraged to be a blockchain developer by searching about bitcoin . show me the way to achieve my goal . completely a newbie To coding. how should i begin ??

Start with the basics. The first place you would want to start is learning a programming language. I would recommend C, although its not really relevant to most Blockchain programming, its really helpful and makes learning other programming languages much easier. There are many free courses online as well. So thats something you could easily look up on your own.

Understanding Blockchain is something that you could also look up. But I also recommend going through the development sections of this forum to see what the other developers are doing. Maybe they will even let you participate in their projects.
2525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 12:26:51 PM
Recently someone in our country just won a whopping 401Million Pesos(7+Million dollars) from our 6/55 Grand Lotto and another Winner of 5.9Million Pesos(105k Dollars) from our 6/42 Lotto draw. I am happy for these two winners but I am a little worried since the Lotto Organizer mentioned what city they are from. I hope that the Lotto organizer never mentions their names since these people who just had a life-changing experience could be in danger if they ever revealed their names.

here's the link if you are curious about the article https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1178611
I believe that the mentioned Lotto Organizer should know better than to reveal their winners identity. They know if they do that, then they would be putting their winners in a very dangerous situation. Especially in a poorer country with criminals known to do anything just for a small amount of money. Whether 7 million or 105k Dollars, thats still considered a huge amount.

Hopefully they can move to a better place and live a better life.

This is exactly why Bitcoin is so important. You can announce the winners without mentioning them by name. Although that would be poor opsec as well, perhaps.
2526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 11, 2022, 12:02:01 PM
Long time not online here and i'm back just wants to share a new case around me that related with gambling, especially slots.

My neighbor is in debt of $9000 just for playing slot games. This is bad, considering the amount of money in my country is enough to build a house.

History:
- His friends share the winnings from slot to him
- He is interested an trying to play
- He's being addicted
- Lose and owe to his friends and bank to play more but so sad he is loss again till his owe hitting $9000
- Hard to pay his owe, he finally ran away and now his family need to pay all of his debts.
- AFAIK, his family wants to sells their land to pay off the gambler's debt.

So, careful with your slot activity. make sure you are staying away from any loan just for slots. Actually, this case not from gambling sites just playing android games named "Higgs Domino"

Rather than slot activity everyone should be careful with their uncontrolled and undisciplined gambling activity. No matter how often I say it, people still lose all their money. And why? Because they gambled money which they should not have touched in the first place.

The disciplined gambling version would be to make a strategy before gambling and decide on the maximum amount of money you are willing to lose/win before walking away from the gambling table.

If you do not have a plan you just gamble and gamble until everything is gone. Worst case, its all gone very fast because you became emotional and risked it all in a moment of psychological weakness.
2527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was the coupling of Bitcoin to fiat a mistake? on: July 10, 2022, 07:55:29 PM

Im just hoping fiat gets replaced by Bitcoin sooner than later.
What is your opinion of this happening, I don't think it will happen even if it takes hundreds of years. Our daily lives still require fiat even though it has its downsides and cannot be compared with bitcoin. I wouldn't be able to use bitcoin for a quick breakfast or takeaway coffee because of bitcoin's transaction costs and confirmation time. It would make me miss the express train to the office, but with fiat it would be more convenient in this situation.

I think fiat will decouple itself sooner or later from Bitcoin. Just like Blockbuster went out of business from one day to the other as it became clearer and clearer that streaming movies was the future. Redundancy makes itself known early on. But people do tend to hang on to old technology out of habit and nostalgia, if nothing else. Same goes for fiat. Its a redundant old version of money and is currently being replaced. But seeing as the entire world needs to participate in this change, it might take longer for people to see the bigger picture of blockchain technology and especially Bitcoin.
2528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 10, 2022, 07:08:46 PM
Do I regret buying before the dip? No not at all. Would I regret buying after the dip? Definitely. Buy the dip and hodl. Thats all the strategy I need. In fact, I would prefer not to even think about the "end" of the dip and just buy whenever I see such massive Bitcoin discounts. Because in reality, thats what they are. Discounts. And once you start thinking of them that way, you will find yourself buying at every dip.

Don't fool yourself into "waiting for the perfect opportunity". 1 BTC = 1 BTC

2530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get your coins out of Coinify ASAP on: July 10, 2022, 02:18:13 PM
The fact that people continue to let someone else hodl their coins for them is so puzzling to me. Why, why is it so hard to put the coins into a wallet that you own yourself? Why betray the very idea of Bitcoin, which is to be your own bank? Is there a point to even investing in Bitcoin if all you do is the same as you did with your fiat? It just does not make sense to me.

Whether a huge exchange with a lot of users or some small exchange owned by a shady no-name, its all the same in the end. You are putting trust into someone other than yourself.

It always comes back to bite you, always.
2531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2022, 10:26:06 PM

Oh my!!!!!

You are even MOAR worser than that last guy.

Don't you NOT know nuttin?  No need to answer the last question.

You want lower? I can go lower.  Kiss

I had an actual dream about Bitcoin. Within seconds the price dropped to mere cents per Bitcoin. I put in my buy order as fast as I could but the exchange was lagging badly. And when I tried to click buy again, the buy button was missing. Within seconds it rose back to its usual price and then further up over 100k...

I woke up without knowing whether or not my order went through.
2532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2022, 06:07:38 PM
Doesn't BTC ultimately rest on removing the need to "trust" ?

Bitcoin was based on trust and it was a far-reaching relationship, but now bitcoin and trust remain only between two counterparties. and in the big picture, it turns out to be a simple payment and here it already plays the role of transparency.

....I would again reiterate that Bitcoin was based on " removal of the need to "trust" "

“don't trust, verify.”

Bitcoin is distributed trust.

No its distributed verification.
2533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2022, 01:48:02 PM

What if this cycle is rolling faster and we're somewhere between depression and disbelief?  Cool

Until we experience full anger from all the shit coins that finally go to the trash can as expected (anger from Bitcoin dropping in price as a casualty).

The volume levels are still higher than they would be if we reached capitulation. The MSM is going to have to "forget" about the corn before we can finally reach the true bottom.

I agree with you here, it's too early for a bottom, personally I think we will go a little lower, maybe 17k or thereabout in the end of the year, and from there we will get the traditional slow up.

Yesterdays huge sell off did slow down the pump considerably. We might be in for another dip soon before we see the real pump again. I would wager 15k

Damn I'm legendary guys! Somebody has been really generous recently! Need to check my merits.  Grin

P.S. nutildah, my man, thanks for the merits! Also all other brethren who merited me often (won't be mentioning any names/accounts you know who you are)  Cool

Congrats!
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 09, 2022, 11:49:14 AM
I think the very idea of becoming wealthy by gambling is a dangerous mindset to have. Anything which seems extremely unlikely (like winning millions or even hundreds of thousands) should not be ideas which you should entertain by risking your money.

Gambling is and always has been just for fun, by my way of thinking.

The more hope you give yourself that something unlikely will happen, the more you keep yourself at the gambling table even during times in which you should walk away once you have made an X amount of losses.

2536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance will be ban in the Philippines? on: July 09, 2022, 10:34:50 AM
Good day to all the members in this forum, maybe I should start our conversation with the questions we will discuss.

First question, is it possible to ban Binance in the Philippines?

According to the BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) there is a group or organization called INFRAWATCH PH that issued a letter to the BSP saying that one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world should be banned or suspended. Because it doesn't have a license to operate in our country, and if your gonna take a look at it, they are right. Because in order for you to be an official company related to exchange or virtual assets, you need to have a VASP (Virtual Asset Service Provider) and there are always associated requirements before you can have a license to operate in the Philippines. And some of the licenses here are Coinsph, PDAX and Paymaya which will soon be able to buy and sell crypto.

According to Binance, they have not yet formally received the letter about banning them here in the Philippines. And they are also ready                  to discuss about this matter because they are also ready to get a VASP license or even an E-money license.

And as far as I know, last June the CEO and Founder of Binance visited here and they plan to expand here in our country, and they also plan to provide a scholarship program and eventually the graduates will be able to work in the Binance company.

According to the SEC (Security Exchange Commission), Binance is also not registered but they are monitoring it despite the fact that other investigations are still being conducted not only here but also in other countries such as France and the U.S. That is why because of these events the value of their BNB token was affected.

So far we have not really heard any Final updates on these events, because at the present time now we can still use Binance here in our country whether we want to transfer it via Coinsph, Gcash, or Bank account that we have. And I just hope that Binance will not be banned in our country because there are also many users here in our country.

Referrence:
- https://bitpinas.com/regulation/binance-response-infrawatch-bsp-ban-ph/

Of course it is possible that Binance will be banned in any country. Binance is a centralized exchange. Anything centralized is under the full mercy of regulation.

However I do not think that the Philippines will be introducing any bans on Binance as they could have already done so. Just because there are now people who are calling them out on not running "by the book" in a certain country. We should not panic too early on this matter.

Binance is probably the most careful exchange I know. Even the SEC itself has not raised any alarms yet.

Roomers are Ellon is backing off the 44B deal of Twitter

The rumars are troo.

Everything Elun Mosk does is PR to boost his own giant ego on social media and/or manipulate the market of his own investments. He never intended to buy Twitter for such a huge sum of money, it was just all show. FFS he even named his own child some ridiculous shit for social media clout.

2538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: July 08, 2022, 08:07:55 PM
Bitcoin is a long term investment. When an entire government invests into something you can be sure that they have entire teams of the best advisors money can buy making the strategy and doing the research.

So no, El Salvadors investment in Bitcoin is not "underwater". Its a long term investment and anyone who understands Bitcoin knows whether 50k, 60k or 20k, these are good times to buy.

tradingview isn't cool anymore?

 Not. Even. Close.

Tradingview masterrace! You can share your ideas and get likes to boost your ego on Tradingview. You people are just hipsters  Tongue Roll Eyes

Looks like a less developed but more stable version of cryptowatch but does not even seem to have simple Heiken Ashi candlesticks.

4/10. my eyes.

I use worldcoinindex.com for that very reason. Ticker on the top shows current price in BTC/USD, BTC/EUR, BTC/CNY, BtC/GBP, BTC/RUR & Total BTC Volume/Total Alt Volume. Automatically updates every few seconds. It's just simple & handy. Had never heard of Preev.com

Looks like a worse version of coinmarketcap. 1/10

I can't get it either, that sucks.
