1621  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2023, 01:46:45 PM
bitcoin can Crashed again Below $20K Level or Not ?
how much Probability for Down ?

suggest please I can bear some Loss but Can,t afford 100% loss

waiting for all expert members suggestion?

It sounds like you are emotionally not ready to invest in anything. If you do not feel safe and reassured then you do not understand the potential of Bitcoin. I think if you invest right now, you will spook easily at the next dip and sell everything. And you will lose money because you panicked and sold on a whim, once Bitcoin goes back up.

Try to find out more about Bitcoin, and once you are feeling reassured that you will not panic-sell, go ahead and buy Bitcoin.

But as I said, your current state is too emotional. Not a good state of mind to be in when investing in anything.
1622  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your college degree means that you are not educated. on: February 07, 2023, 12:37:21 AM
I was a mathematics professor, and as a professor, I must regard colleges are extremely unprofessional institutions that not only promote violence against me but also refuse to acknowledge that they are the problem. The only proper response to this situation is for people to collectively regard college degrees as very bad and college graduates as uneducated. The only thing that will get me to change my opinion about these wretched institutions is for the institutions to acknowledge that there is a problem and take steps to solve this problem.

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

Are you the guy who wrote the paper on "Representations of algebras in varieties generated by infinite primal algebras"?

There is not much I can say about colleges in the US but I have never experienced physical or emotional violence at a european university. But then again we have real courses and students dedicated to studying instead of collectively screaming for professors to get fired for misgendering some multicolored half-baked "intellectual".

You seem to have given up on research in 2014 after 5 published papers.... I understand your frustration that most people cannot comprehend higher mathematics or your "Circcash" cryptocurrency, but instead of lashing out and showing your potential investors how temperamental and childish you are, you should perhaps find another way to market to a lesser educated audience.

Also, try to be less condescending and angry.

1623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am stopping for legal reasons. Is it really worth the trouble? on: February 06, 2023, 11:51:48 PM
Feel free to miss out on Bitcoin profits once we go 100k+. Personally, I would not be bothered by any government who claims to have banned crypto in 2014 and 2017. And yet here you are, still dealing with cryptocurrencies. I wonder what happened to those bans? Nothing.

Your banks do not want competition and your government does what the banks want. They want to scare you that "you might be in legal trouble sometime in the future for unknown reasons" and you panic.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin not being accepted or recognized as legal tender does not necessarily make it illegal. The legal basis of a “warning” published by the Bangladesh Bank is also questionable.

But, you are right. It is your right to feel safe and legal...

Good luck in your future! Grin Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos? on: February 06, 2023, 08:21:56 PM
Strictly for Bitcoin, is there a list of the best online gambling casinos and their corresponding pros/cons of using?

I am asking because I don't quite have all the experience in the world and the people in these threads seem to be the most savvy on this.

What have you found works best? What does not work? I guess I am looking for a sort of "cheat sheet" if you will. If that even exists.

Have a great night everyone.

Cheers,

TREAD

I have not yet experienced or seen any sort of evidence that there are "cheat sheets" for the kind of thing you are looking for. The way I choose my casino is by verifying their professionality and their past accusations. If they have any kind of scam accusations, I tend to avoid them (unless the accusations are completely unwarranted, of course).

And of course, comfort is a big plus in my book. If the casino has good customer relationships and impressive user experience design, then that is a casino I will happily play on.

There are also smaller factors that I look at like bonuses and so on but they are not really the deciding factor since every casino has the same bonus concepts, usually.
1625  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OLE7.IO scammed me 11700 USD in bitcoins without reasoning! on: February 06, 2023, 07:08:41 PM
IM markets offered by Ole7.io allows you to place bets double the size of the original bet limits.

So when a bet has a limit of 22.04mbtc, you are free to bet a total of double that stake limit, hence i am allowed to bet 44.07,mbtc. They are the one who set the limits, not me. In no way i bet more that i was allowed.
I have no experience with Asian bookies and Asian agents, so I am a complete newbie in that regard. But if you say that you are allowed to bet double what the betting limits are, can you back that up with information provided in the Terms and Conditions of Ole7.io where they say that?

Same question to the Ole7.io forum representative: If the player is not allowed to bypass betting limits the way spyrosc200 explained it, is that clearly explained in your TOS? And is that the reason why the funds were seized?

I think that not only is the terms of service of the casino in question of importance in this matter, but also the casinos regulational status and location. Same goes for the player as well. If the player lives in a country with certain rules and restrictions, thats not something you will find in the terms of service of the online gambling casino but rather they should look at the laws of their government. Thats the players responsibility.

Although if gambling is outright banned in their country, the gambling casino will not even allow them to play on their platform in the first place.

I have not yet seen any evidence provided by the accuser that this matter is the casinos fault, but since the casino is accusing the player of multi-accounting or illegal practices, they should be able to provide proof. I agree on this.

Also, them not being able to even spell forfeited is a sign of unprofessionality. Red flag.
1626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 06, 2023, 05:34:06 PM
The Central Bank of Nigeria is pushing for wider CBDC adoption by limiting ATM cash withdrawals and changing banknotes for lower denomination ones.

As a result, demand for $BTC is skyrocketing and price reached a 40% premium.

🇳🇬 Nigerians don’t want CBDC, they want #Bitcoin

https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1622340350198136833?t=a01ntz9U9Dpjh5m72G7COw&s=19

CBDCs are just another scamming cunt criminal government invention based on nothing, no limitation, nada.

CBDCs are just the desperate attempt of the government to out-do Bitcoin after seeing how Bitcoin is completely destroying fiat. They finally realized that they cannot ban BTC nor put a leash on Bitcoin and it will be the new, global money in the near future.

So what do they do? Create CBDCs and hope it becomes the new Bitcoin.

Too late. Bitcoin has already won.

1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 05, 2023, 05:18:35 PM
I don't believe online casinos enjoy seeing a gambler lose money.
~Snip
 Any thoughts?

I think they do want their "customers" to remain happy so that they will keep coming back. Although casinos, just like any other business care about their profits more than anything else. Which can be morally right or morally wrong, depending on the different perspectives. But they do need to make money if they wish to survive as a business, thats a fact.

But I do believe that they would not want to do anything that might anger their customers. Obviously, making sure their customers participate in responsible gambling is part of that.
1629  Economy / Gambling / Re: 500 CASINO 🎰 2023 BLAST PREMIER ⚽️ WHEEL, CASINO, SPORTS, PLINKO BATTLE 💰 on: February 05, 2023, 04:21:14 PM
Two hours ago I played a bet in your sportsbook. Sport is handball, world championship. I bet on Denmark prematch, odds 1.001

Is it forbidden? If not, why does Casino 500 consider it a risk free way of betting? What is risk free?

I've been betting for over 20 years, but I still haven't found the holy grail of betting.
Risk free, I don't know how the casino company or the site defined it but for the layman understanding, it means there is no risk when dealing with such. That is you are free to bet without fear but I also don't know why it becomes a warning again, I know that it is only danger zone areas are liable to warn people.
20 years in the gambling or the casino company is enough to gather information about the site. Some times have a friendly discussion with support team and ask them some important questions to know about the company.
Is it possible for the casino to say that the bet is a risk-free bet because the odds of 1,001 are very small, but that is just a possibility that is not necessarily true.
Because actually those who really know the meaning of risk-free betting are the casinos themselves and the meaning will definitely be different if we or a gambler interpret it.

But the duration of gambling is not a guarantee that he really knows about all the information needed because many gamblers are only concerned with games or betting without seeking information or knowledge about gambling platforms or other information that is no less important.

I think that online gambling casinos should be very careful in their wording, not to be misunderstood. In this particular case perhaps the casino meant a different interpretation of "risk-free". Since everyone knows that there is no such thing as risk-free. Not in the world of gambling but also not in real life. Everything carries a certain risk, and no matter how small that risk is, its still there.

But perhaps legally, odds of 1,001 can be classified as risk-free because the interpretation of such small risks does not have any meaning beyond what the casino itself meant.
1630  Economy / Gambling / Re: I accidentally deposited to self-excluded stake.com account. on: February 03, 2023, 09:44:16 PM
I accidentally deposited 3.067 ETH to my self-excluded stake.com account, and live support does not let me withdraw.

I really need to withdraw my funds, what can I do?

Sounds like you really screwed yourself over, there. Have you tried to explain this accident to stake.com support? I understand that they would not let someone withdraw from an self-excluded account but this does fall into the realm of special circumstance and I think they might be lenient, for your case specifically. After all it was just an accidental deposit of coins which were NOT already in the account during the exclusion event.

You should be more careful with your money in the future, though. I thing that I can understand why you self-excluded your account in the first place. Roll Eyes
1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: February 03, 2023, 08:58:24 PM
Is there any gambling/casino website that owns a android application? I noticed that all gambling websites are good for PC/Computers but not phones, I believe an android application will be flawless and way easier to access..

Casinos do not really need to develop their own application for the purpose of easier access for smart phone users. They just modify the website to be smart-phone friendly and thats really all they have to do. In fact, even if you use your smartphone, or in your case, android phone with a online gambling casino website which has not yet customized their site for smart phone users, you can still play on their website. It just won't be as comfortable as it would be on a desktop computer or laptop.

But the smart marketing move would be to make their website smartphone friendly.
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: February 03, 2023, 04:37:59 PM
Paper money will definitely be phased out but not because the government invented some CBDC bs but rather because its old world money. What we are going towards is a future of Bitcoin and crypto. CBDC will merely be one out of many options and it definitely will not be the prominent one.

People and even governments are starting to understand that Bitcoin is the next generation of money and once it is globally adopted, we will see a new future of finance.

Even the government acknowledged this simple fact indirectly by attempting to copy Bitcoin with their own version.
1633  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 03:18:37 PM
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that no has the capability to predict it's rise or fall.
I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
Cause Bitcoin is determined by the number of people in the digital market. Just like the higher the number of people that purchase Bitcoin the lower it's price and for it price to go higher it requires some Bitcoin investors, traders and miner's to withdraw some percentage of their Bitcoin. So I still have the doubt of Bitcoin shooting higher  just as we are expecting in 2024.

Throughout all these years with Bitcoin, I have learned one simple truth.

Ask yourself one simple question before you start despairing:

Would you be having such fearful thoughts if Bitcoin was currently in a bull market going over 70k+ ? I think the answer is quite simple. No you would not. So why start doubting Bitcoin during a bear market? Even if right now seems like Bitcoin was supposed to rise back up, things do not go as planned. You need to believe in the long term potential!

Another bad session at dices.  Roll Eyes
Can you believe it? in only a dozen of rolls I got out of combat and had to stop (because I had reached my personal loss threshold).
This contrasts much with the first time I played dices on Stake and managed to get a sweet streak.

this is my second bad session in a row, perhaps I should move onto blackjack and let the dices cold down for a couple of months, for Satoshi's sake...

Maybe yesterday was just a day of bad luck for everyone playing slots?  Grin Roll Eyes

I too did not have much luck at the slot games and got quite frustrated as well. Although I cannot say that I have reached any kind of personal loss threshold, I definitely will be needing to take a break from gambling for a week at least, until my head cools down enough and I can play again without making any dumb bets out of anger or excitement.

I would recommend you do the same as well. Just take a rest and think about something else for a while. Get your motivation and self-control back. Grin
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: February 03, 2023, 12:27:48 PM
I got your point mate, Jake Paul is indeed too hyped enough and that's because he got a huge fan base on the social media which explains why are we seeing some reels about him and about his recent fights, even trainings. But c'mon, Tommy over Jake? I mean, that's possible though but Tommy's chances are actually slim than the latter to win the fight. Apart from that, their power difference is quite evident enough to see who got the upper hand.

Jake Paul is a pretty boy influencer who cares more about his image than his boxxing career, his skills or even his fans. I have long since disliked him for his attitude and his self-absorbed character.  No matter how good the odds anyone gives him, I will never bet on him to win. Boxxing is a serious competition sport and it should be taken in with utmost dignity. There are way too many egomaniacs who pretend to be good boxxers just to have a fanbase who will give them the attention they want.

1636  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: February 03, 2023, 10:59:05 AM
While we can all agree that panic selling is newbie domain, there are also veterans who love spreading Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.

Let me be the one with a different opinion here.
There are way too many veterans who scream FUD even when a fact is as blue as the sky, it is certain beyond any doubt and they still scream it's not true just because they don't like it and it will hurt the price. There were hundreds who screamed MtGox collapsing was FUD, there were thousands screaming China ban is FUD, LUNA was FUD, FTX going down is FUD!

I agree that there are waay too many people screaming FUD when trades do not go their way or they lose money due to their own dumb decisions. Such behaivor is childish and completely foolish. But technically, they are not really spreading FUD but rather they are blaming FUD on their problems when they themselves caused their issues.

Real news, which has not been in any way manipulated or overexaggerated is always most welcome to anyone, veteran or not, but I think there is quite a difference between someone complaining about the news and someone who purposefully engineers his own FUD, using the news as a basis.

For example, whenever Elon Musk tweets a picture of a doge, but does not add any textual context, I instantly see rumors being spread around of his exact intentions. Which are of course, unknown.
1637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: February 03, 2023, 12:26:56 AM
Are you guys really questioning whether or not you should trust a bot, over yourself? Whether its AI or not does not matter since AI is still in its baby shoes and obviously the human mind is leaps and bounds beyond the current AI.

And honestly, we might never develop an AI which can outperform a human in the areas that matter most to us. How does one create something better and more complex-minded than oneself? Do we even have the capacity to think of such a thing or does it outstrip our brainpower and is therefore out of reach to us?

Either way, I do not trust my money to a computer algorithm. No matter how impressively it can imitate a human.

1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 02, 2023, 10:21:24 PM
So, have they finally been able to decide on the location of the match or are they keeping it a surprise or something?  I have not been able to get a straight answer ever since I first heard about the Davis vs Garcia match. And lets be honest, its been a long time coming, so I would not be surprised if all these secretive stuff is just another marketing tactic before the actual match.

I am pretty sure the match will be in Las Vegas but which stadium?
1639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: February 02, 2023, 12:11:42 PM
For newbie traders to learn.

I want to have a broader knowledge about this because I do not want to be discussing partially about what I did when I wanted to learn crypto trading.

First thing first, this is what I did.
I learn trading myself, using articles and videos from trading sites. It was fun for me because I like to learn if it is about what could earn me money.

After learning trading, I trade. I learn derivative trading as well. But what later happened was that I was losing. I do lost in gambling since 2014 until I had control over it, gambling took money from me, but I had more money in 2019 and trading has taking more from me until I gained more experience about what trading is before my losses reduced and profit increases.

How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?

I think a tutor might help you in the very beginning, but it will not help you in the long run. You need experience and the only way to achieve that is by "learning by doing". And yes, you will lose a lot of money your "newbie years" and yes, you will be very angry and sad about it. But you need to see those losses as tuition fees for learning trading. In later years you will make that money back when you become a good trader.

As far as derivative trading goes, I would highly recommend against it. Especially if you are a beginner. But even I stay away from it as a veteran trader. Especially knowing how exchanges manipulate the market in their favor.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin with Tiffin money of my college life. on: February 02, 2023, 10:34:20 AM
Never leave you coins on an exchange, Binance is an exchange. To have full control over your asset, use noncustodial wallet. Cold wallets are safest wallet type.

Exactly what I wanted to say.

If you value your money, then do not leave it in the hands of someone who is not you. And do not leave it in a wallet, like that of an crypto exchange. Because the reason is that you would not be the only person who has access to that wallet. In the case of crypto exchanges, you are trusting them with your money. This goes against the very nature and concept of cryptocurrency, which is TO BE YOUR OWN BANK.

But people still do it. And they think nothing bad will happen to them until it finally does happen.
