2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 05, 2022, 03:29:36 PM
Of course, I still remember Del Potro, he has the distinction of being the first tennis player to defeat both Nadal and Federer at the same tournament - 2009 US grand slam. Nadal on semis and then Federer on finals. He has achieved so much in tennis that he was also the only one outside of the big 3 to win a tournament at least.

Interesting to see how Peng Shuai is really doing at this point. And it's good that Thomas Bach is extending efforts to make sure she is doing well.
2602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 05, 2022, 01:30:24 PM
Exactly, there goes the set for the fight. As what I've read about the crowd, it's not just about being booed or cheering down the away fighter.
Yeah, I've forgotten that Casimero has been into this whole thing for his life and it won't matter to him anymore if there goes the fans that would subject him after the fight.
Right, regardless of the venue, Casimero has one thing in mind, to keep his title so that he will keep his hopes of good paycheck against the monster in the future. So still needs to train and focus first against Butler, and not to take into account the crowd itself. And knowing Filipinos, maybe there could be a minority crowd in UK to watch him fight, although it will be a big risk for them because they will be out numbered by the UK crowd and there could also be some heated arguments outside after the fight specially if John Riel win in a spectacular knock out.
About the paycheck on this match, AFAIK, it's not really that much for him and it's just a mandatory fight that he has to accept no matter what he thinks about it. But well, there's still money on it win or lose but he won't allow just to pass if it's about his title and record.
Just wishing the crowd won't make a ruckus whenever they see that it's in favor of Casimero.
It was already discussed in the past, and we all know it's not a big amount but Casimero has no choice but to fight the mandatory challenger or else he will lose his belt and his opportunity to get big fights in the future, so it's a must win for him.

True, as champion he gets the lion share but it was not that big because of the weight class.

Nevertheless it's time for Casimero to show case his skills again, he is on a momentum run and majority of us doubt that Butler can upset him even if the fight is going to be held in his home town.

So this is just a stepping stone kinda fight for Casimero, the bigger fish is still Inoue and then Donaire.
2603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in Rocket 🚀 mood. on: February 05, 2022, 12:09:42 PM
I really like the rocket term though, reminds of the the rocket game, lol. But seriously, maybe because we are not seeing a huge jump in the price for the last two months or at least after the all time high in November. So everyone jump in and very excited about seeing the price going up to $41k. I understand that we are animated moved by the price, but I will still be careful, maybe the whales are again manipulating the price and giving us a sense of hope, just saying.
2604  Economy / Economics / Re: 02/02/2022 :( on: February 05, 2022, 11:16:44 AM
We may have been fuck up for life right now, but I guess crypto might be the savior for some of us. I mean if we invested on it and hold for long term, maybe our kids and grandkids are not going to suffer and think about this inflation etc. Problems in society right now, but with hedging and storing some of our wealth and continuing buying bitcoin, maybe this problem won't be in the future, our kids and grandkids will not go through and face issues in life that we enduring in today's time.
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 05, 2022, 10:42:20 AM
Great come back from the Dallas Mavericks defeating the Philadelphia 76ers. Luka Doncic's performance was top-notch being a playmaker and points contribution. 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 15 assists. 44th career triple-double. That kind of stats is surely a game-winner.
76ers made a big lead at the first half but the Mavs found their rhythm in the 3rd quarter with Luka exploding and Powell helping in both ends of the floor to outscore them with 32-15.

I'm still bitter with the Mavs lost in OT prior to this game. They also made a big comeback against the Thunder tied the score and has a chance to win but Luka missed the 3's.

But in any case, it's good to see them making another huge comeback and win this time. I like Jalen Bronson a lot, he is really improving this season, but if he can also improved his assists per game, that will be awesome for the Mavs.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 05, 2022, 06:00:17 AM

Also, Thurman’s age and boxing politics might not give him a chance to fight Spencer or Crawford. We should watch Boots Ennis. He might become the new king of welterweight.

If he keeps on winning decisively on the top welterweights then he'll have a chance to fight Spence or Crawford but if we consider the
"style make fights theory" I doubt if he can beat these two boxers, Thurman is already an elite boxer but both Spence and Crawford are on top of their league, in fact, both Spence and Crawford can move up and give those elite boxers in the higher weight division a run for their money.

However, Keith Thurman has a problem. He appears to be cursed forever because of his loss versus Pacman. That was supposed to be his opportunity to become one of the biggest boxing stars in welterweight who would challenge the 2 kings of the division, Spencer and Crawford. But he did not win. I reckon he might only be used by promoters to make younger fighters’ names more popular. There might be an argument that this fight might only be something to make Barrios’ name more popular in welterweight. Barrios was a WBA champion in junior welterweight before the loss to Tank Davis.

Barrios name will only be popular if he wins against Thurman, if he losses this one, then its hard for him to win a fight in this division because it's pretty much stack up.

Not sure if Thurman is curse or what, but he will definitely wanted to change things if he is going to win here. There is the 2 kings right now, Spence and Crawford that he can challenge, if he losses to any of this fighters, at least he will have a good paycheck.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 05, 2022, 05:29:08 AM
Seeing reports today that the Nets have started putting together a trade package for Ben Simmons. Given Harden is sick of the Kyrie situation already and the rules change is killing his career, he’s very motivated to get to Philadelphia where he has lots of close personal ties with ownership and local celebrities. I don’t know how motivated he will be to play basketball in Philadelphia, but he can’t play less than Ben Simmons. I like the trade for Philadelphia. I don’t think they’ll be able to do better than Harden for Simmons.

Well if he get's traded to a city wherein he has a lot of ties then for sure he can play like his days in Houston. But he has to understand that there is also Joel in the Sixers team and he can't be the Alpha in this team. Trae Young and Steph Curry has adjusted to the new rules and even Chris Paul, so I don't think that Harden can't adjust as well. It's that he is not motivated with the Nets right now, specially that they are in a losing streak with KD and the Kyrie situation.
2608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 05, 2022, 04:56:30 AM

Hoping that this is not a bull trap anymore, rising from below and reaching $40k price tells something else and for me, this is a good sign.

I just hope that bear market is finish already, and now we are going to recovery phase which normally the price will start to pump little by little. Let’s see if Bitcoin can break more resistance to confirm the trend reversal.

We can't tell if bearish market is over or not. Let us be grateful that we hit the 40k mark again. There are various factors that contribute to this rise and one good news that I've seen recently is the re-introduction of bill by US lawmakers about the tax relief for small crypto transactions (about $200). You can check this article . I think, it gives positive vibes to their crypto users especially those small timers.

Currently the price goes to $41k, so indeed we did hit the $40k and then some mark again.

But we will have to find out what causes this break point, I mean are there any good news that propel the market again?

I've heard that there are speculations that stock people are moving to bitcoin market right now and that is where all the money is coming from.
2609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: February 04, 2022, 03:32:07 PM
It's healthy and if we are talking about being optimistic with the confusing market then it's the behavior of being the unknown.
Visualize a market that is predictable, do you think we will be able to see a value like this of Bitcoin or altcoins? Maybe yes, or maybe not.
The volatility of it could be profitable on your side if you guess the right movement. That's one more positive view of it.
A confusing market also tells us that deep manipulation is not happening. There might be whales who does it but not in such heavy portion like this type of bear.

It might be really confusing for the majority of us, but we learn how to deal with it. Just a matter of implementing our market strategy and update it regularly based on the price movement. Because there is no one single formula that can guarantee you to make profits every time. So you make an educated guess, be it with TA or your hunch and then go for it. If you win, then good for you, if you loss then go back to the drawing board. That's why most of the team trading is often compared to gambling because of this. Again, we heard about this so called manipulation, but I guess it's hard to prove isn't it?
2610  Economy / Speculation / Re: who is btc price changed every second on: February 03, 2022, 08:26:30 PM
For BTC and ETH, it's the retail investors that do constantly changes it because they are the majority. And then we have the whales who are then the market shakers. Just look at the sheer amount of volumes, it's a 24x7x365, that's why the price is really volatile because globally is is not stop being traded.. For others like Doge or some meme coins, could be pump and dump groups setting traps for noobs who thinks that it is the best and easiest way to earn money, but it's not.
2611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 03, 2022, 12:23:49 PM
Very interesting turn of events for Canelo, he went to the WBC convention and challenge the CW champion and then when he win his fight, suddenly Canelo doesn't want him anymore.

In any case, I'm still looking for articles that might give weight for a GGG vs Alvarez trilogy. This is the right that we all have been wanting to see. Although Charlo is undefeated and could be a good challenge for Canelo, he still lacks the experience and even power to crack Canelo's chin.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 03, 2022, 11:04:50 AM
The difference between Roddick and Medvedev type of players and other superstars like Nadal and Federer is that by the time they were in Medvedevs age, they were capable of winning a few championships, while others couldn't so obviously it is not easy for these people to feel that at ease.

If you are 17-18 years old and lose to Nadal on the finals then you could still be hopeful about things, but when you are 25+ years old and only have a few finals and no titles then you feel like your chance is slipping out of your hand and that is why you do not want to hear any advice from anyone. If he believed that he still has a lot of chance in the future then he would be fine but lets be honest how many tournaments do you feel like they would be able to win?

Players like Nadal or Federer or Djokovic have some inborn talents in them which gives them a headstart in their career, you know.

Not sure what you mean by in-born, maybe they are a freak of nature but still they have to work harder just to be on top.

But other players like Medvedev or Zverev don't have that, they have to get better over time by practicing a lot.
Yes, Nadal and Federer were far better than Medvedev at his age but I think that it has something a bit related to god-gift which gave them the headstart they needed to come to a legendary position they are in right now.

I do think both Medvedev or Zverev has some in born talents, but they really have to developed it, specially the mental aspects of this game. Your down 2 sets, and maybe thinking how can you overcome and make a comeback? And this what separates the best from the elites like the big 3. They are still focus on winning even if the chances are slim. Unlike others who might easily give up thinking that they don't have a chance anymore.
2613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 03, 2022, 09:39:52 AM
A win by OKC against the Dallas, very hard lost for the Dallas, they have a 2 point lead in the last 7 seconds but Luka didn't play defense and there is no Luka magic as he didn't get a shot clock buzzer with 5 seconds. I thought that they had it already after making a comeback in the last 5 minutes of the regular time and then taking the lead. Too bad, I have a bet on them when they are down and it was a good odds, above 3.xx.  Angry

And you can see the disappointment from Luka there, as you have said poor defense and then he goes one on one, goes to his favorite spot wherein he hits a lot of buzzer beaters but missed his shots.

And then in the OT they jump on the gun first, but a drought and then Oklahoma having an easy basket.

How about the Magic coming from behind and winning against the Pacers? I just check the game and see that the Pacers is on a good lead in the 4th, but then the final score, Magic by a point. Pacers is the favorite to win so for sure many are not happy with this game as well.

Hi all, I am a newbie on this forum Cheesy wanted to know if someone has ever used this site Bitcoin-generator and if it is trustable, thank you.

I can't believed that in 2022, this scammers are still not yet done with this kind of gimmick.  Grin

And it's good that the OP has asked the community first before he joins this so called bitcoin generator because this is obviously a scam. It is rampant around 2016-2017 or even earlier, and many people fell victims for it.
2615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST]Countries Where Gambling Is Illegal on: February 02, 2022, 11:51:11 AM
As far as i know pachinko is also legal in Japan and there are a lot of pachinko parlors all over the country. Another Muslim country in Asia.- Brunei (guided by Sharia law), has banned all forms of gambling.

You can also check it out and do some research and maybe update the thread above. I think there's a lot more, but maybe majority of us here are lucky that we live in a country wherein gambling is legal and regulated.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 02, 2022, 10:52:22 AM
^^ That is so true, Arum how to milk his cash cow, so definitely even if Inoue wanted to face Casimero this year, maybe Top Rank is going to hold on that idea and let Inoue face other fighters. And when the time is ripe, when there is the hype then maybe he will allow it. The problem though is that Casimero can't stay at this bantamweight forever and he can't squeeze anymore at this weight. So we will see if this super fight can happen in the future when both fighters are in their prime.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 02, 2022, 10:17:54 AM
Nets' bad performance in the first quarter caused them to lose against Suns by 121-111 last night. I was expecting a result like this though. In the absence of KD, Nets are having serious problems this season recently. They got their fifth consecutive loss and they have dropped to the sixth place in the standings. This is not good for them as they might go down to the area which they would have to play extra playoff games. KD is out for a long time and I hope that they can collect themselves until then.

I think they can make it to the 8th spot and avoid the extra game to be in the playoff.

But it's alarming that they are on a losing streak, KD is really the main guy of this time, not Harden and Kyrie as they can't bring any victories so far with the absence of KD. It was reported that he will be out 4-6 weeks so that's a lot of time. Nets needs some string of victories to stay afloat of the East division. But they have a tough sched, next will be the Kings, maybe they can get a win. But the next 2 is tough, against the Jazz and the Nuggets.
2618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 02, 2022, 09:28:02 AM
In recent interview, Barrios said that he is not afraid to trade punches with Keith Thurman.

Of course, he wanted to test himself and Thurman. I think Barrios style fits that, he is more of a brawler to me.

So that is good, as both has promises us boxing fans a good fight, no expect no less in this fight.

But I have said before, I will go with Keith Thurman here to win by either KO or a UD. Yes, Barrios can trade punches, but can he take a punch from a bigger and more powerful boxer here? He has been chin tested already by a overblown 140 lbs Tank Davis, what more of a legit and true Welterweight?

It could be different though, maybe Barrios is really a true 147 lbs fighter for all we know. he is tall and has the reach of a true WW as well. He is weight drain against Davis, that's the way I see it that's why he is so much in trouble in the weight scale even before fight.
2619  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2022, 08:52:30 AM
Predicting the price of bitcoin is not easy, and it is possible that predictions of bitcoin prices reaching $100k will come true in the future, and may be a rational reason to speculate about bitcoin now. But that's not a prediction that actually happened at this time because bitcoin is still experiencing a very sharp decline in price. Predicting the bitcoin price to hit $100k could come true if the adoption or acceptance of bitcoin continues going forward.

I don't see any sharp decline since Bitcoin reached $60k+.
I may not consider this dip as "sharp" decline, $30k is still quite a high price compared to the rest of Bitcoin's price history.
However, $30k might be the bottom price of this dip and that gives Bitcoin more fuel to reach $100k sooner.
$100k target isn't only possible, but it is "very" possible and will eventually happen as Bitcoin grows every year.

I agree that $30k is pretty high, so if Bitcoin drops to $30k it's nothing to worry about. Especially after Bitcoin rose above  the price of $ 60k,
I saw the demand for Bitcoin increased very rapidly, meaning that many people are already interested in investing in Bitcoin.  So I'm also optimistic
that this year's lowest Bitcoin price will be at $30k, and the decline that is happening now is needed so that Bitcoin can rise to new ATH this year.
The $100k target is still achievable this year, so don't hesitate to keep collecting Bitcoins. So when we finally reach the target  price of $100k,
imagine the profit we make will be very large. But even if the $100k target fails to reach, I believe Bitcoin price will return above $60k
this year, and that we can still get a sizeable profit if from now on we start collecting Bitcoin.

I like your optimism and I agree at some point, but I will say that maybe we will see the price going down to $30k. So we might not hit the lowest price yet so expect the unexpected.

As far as the demand and fundamentals, yes, it is strong, but there are times that investors are just selling and reluctant to reinvest maybe cause they feel that bitcoin is on a bear market and that they are not going to make money. But still, the target is $100k, maybe it will not be hit this year or the next couple of years. But I still believed that when we goes on another bull run this price could be touch.
2620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Privacy Coin? on: January 31, 2022, 03:38:58 AM
I was looking for some information on a website and found a google ads about NAV coin. I tried to learn more about this and found that it couldn’t make an ATH in the bull which seems quite weird. Most of the shitcoins ecen did their ATH. Later on, after spending some time behind privacy coins, I came to know that most of the privacy coins couldn’t perform as expected or at least not even as closer to the ATH or what other altcoin aka shitcoin did.
What's wrong with Privacy coin? Why couldn’t they make a difference? Any idea?

It's been frown upon by exchanges, because of the pressure from governments. As we all know those privacy coins are hard to try and perhaps it is being used by criminals and terrorists around the globe to hide their tracks.

Plus this news: https://news.bitcoin.com/chainalysis-and-integra-win-1-25-million-irs-contract-to-break-monero/

So they are being persecuted right now so it make sense for investor not to put their money on any privacy coins. As it won't give them profit even if they hold on it for a long time.
