2861  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Timechain Calendar on: January 17, 2023, 09:42:21 PM
I was wondering if theymos or someone else can implement Bitcoin Timechain Calendar or something similar to bitcointalk forum in some mini version.
Maybe this can be done with some script or browser extension but it would be cool to have this on top or page bottom.
Ideal position for adding this information would be top right corner, since regular date and time are already located there.
This doesn't have to be graphical, regular text would be just fine, but here is my fast rookie example below:

I am tagging @TryNinja and @PowerGlove and calling other members if they can come up with some idea for this.
2862  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase closing my account for no reason on: January 17, 2023, 09:27:33 PM
No reason why, nothing. Is it common? Anyone here also dumped by Coinbase just like that?  Huh
Be happy they are giving you the option to withdraw coins to your own wallet or bank account.
I heard cases of people ending up with frozen coins and closed accounts without any clear explanation, so you are certainly not the only one.
Some exchanges consider gambling, coin mixing and connection with sanctioned countries as high risk, but they don't need to give you any explanations for closing account, it's in their terms.
I would suggest switching to p2p trading and decentralized exchanges like Bisq, to experience real freedom without kyc.
2863  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 17, 2023, 08:17:30 PM
We are pleased to announce our new mixing method.
It is based on swapping to Monero and other mixing techniques.
Can this be enabled with switch from Coinjoin to Advanced, and how fast is this method compared to standard option you offer?
I think you should enable more information about this, maybe when hovered over word Advanced, or something similar.

The minmum amount to send is 0.0005 BTC and the maximum amount is 5 BTC. We take a fixed fee of 2% and this will be the only fee compared to our basic method which takes 0.0005 BTC fixed + service fee.
I can't find this information anywhere on your website, and there is no mention about Monero being used in this process.
2864  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Ignorelist on: January 17, 2023, 07:32:06 PM
I have to add both Royse777 and Poker Player on my ignore list, at least until both of this members calm down and stop acting like spoiled brats.
This can be changed in future, and I don't have any personal conflicts with both of them but they are starting to annoy me with their accusations and personal insults in multiple topics they created.
My suggestion is that all other members stay off their drama queen theater show, because I certainly wont do it anymore.

EDIT:
Both members are now removed from my ignorelist
2865  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: January 17, 2023, 06:50:33 PM
Imate li preporuciti kakvu kampanju?

2866  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: January 17, 2023, 03:20:53 PM
Danas je izasla prva epizoda The Last of Us, serija koju sam dugo cekao (veliki sam fan postapokalipticnog settinga) bazirana na dosta popularnoj istoimenoj igri (koju nisam igrao).
Ja sam zadnje gledao dve sezone polu-dokumaterne serije Rise of Empires: Ottoman, prva je više o padu Carigrada a druga o sukobu Vlad Drakule i sultana Mehmeda II.
2867  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Address reuse is simpler than alternatives and not always bad - discussion on: January 16, 2023, 08:32:00 PM
I don't see much advantage of reusing same address, unless this is your only public donation address, or you are using it to receive payments from same client/company.
Address management is very important for privacy and with modern bitcoin wallets you only need to have one seed phrase to keep safe, and that can generate as many public addresses as you want.
There are some coins I don't want to be mixed together at all, that is why I have labels for addresses and transactions to make categorization in my wallet, similar like I would do with old style cash wallets.
One-for-all address is big no go for me, but people can do whatever they want.
2868  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Iancoleman users I want answers on: January 16, 2023, 08:16:11 PM
How sure are you that iamcoleman is safe? It's open source? My foot, because this website is just like every other websites out there, someone is always behind them, typing in your recovery seed means it's not safe anymore.
There is scary boogeyman behind every website so better don't use internet anymore  Cheesy
Official iancoleman website is safe and open source, you can verify that if you understand coding, but you don't need to do anything online if you correctly follow instructions.
Open website in your browser and save it on you computer, than disconnect internet and generate seed phrase safely and write it on paper.
If you are still paranoid, just use hardware wallet or airgapped laptop with Electrum to reduce chance of getting scammed.
2869  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 16, 2023, 07:53:06 PM
Found two more:
- You can update their firmware through both the "web and mobile" routes.
I added both SecuX wallets in the list, and more wallets will be added in next few days after I finish researching.
Regarding table, I am still thinking how to add basic information and still make everything easy to understand, I think you helped me last time with hardware wallet secure element table Wink

The downside I can find is it only seems to work with Chrome (which might not be a drawback for anyone else but it feels like a privacy compromise to me).
For mobile devices Chrome is (sadly) much better and safer browser than Firefox, but there are few forks that improves it like Vanadium (in Graphene OS) and Bromite.

The ColdCard Mk4 can also be used with a USBC-OTG cable and any hardware compatible wallet app.  It can also be used with any phone that has a microSD reader, if you choose to keep it's USB features disabled.
Many modern smartphones (sadly) don't support microSD cards anymore, and they are using extra slot for virtual SIM cards.
I know we can still use some convertors to connect them with phones, but I personally don't like this approach.

Ok guys I realized that I need to make two categories of hardware wallets, first that by default supports connection with smartphones, and second that is doing this with some convertor/cables.
Some manufacturers claim their device doesn't support connection with mobile devices, however this can be done with workaround solutions, but we don't know if that can create some problems in future with compatibility.
I am confused with some hardware wallet that have Bluetooth support, but this doesn't work with computers, only with smartphones, so I also need to be careful with this.
microSD feature can only be considered as partially supporting smartphones, for obvious reasons.

2870  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 16, 2023, 07:37:03 PM
Why would you want all your wallets in the same location, all subject to the same risk of loss or theft?
Nobody is doing that, and ledger just pay their marketing team to invent bunch of fantasy features that sound cool but in reality they don't have any usability.
My joke suggestion is that shitconers can use separate Stax wallets for each of their shitcoin and nft junk they own.
And if people want to waste money on this thing, go ahead and stack them together with magic magnets  Cheesy

The fact that apparently an entire team of people at Ledger thought this was a good idea really makes me question what other stuff goes on behind the scenes there that we are unaware of.
Most of the ledger devs are clowns like their co-owner aka reddit mod btchip, and I am patiently waiting to hear first complains about battery and other hidden issues this device have.
2871  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: January 16, 2023, 06:26:26 PM
Thank you for the information about an interesting project, it’s embarrassing, but we haven’t heard specifically about Bisq in the context of DEX. A quick acquaintance with the project showed that they, unlike most DEX, work with fiat currencies. It turns out they are rather not a decentralized exchanger, but rather a decentralized p2p platform? Then the question of trust between knots emerges once again.
Bisq is the only real decentralized exchange, because you must download open source software and install it on your computer, there is no middle-man and servers.
This means you can use it for exchanging with other people p2p, and deposit

Let’s suggest that the system of transfer conformation can be implemented technically in this or that way, but what to do with accessing the safety of fiat transactions? What guarantees are there that the FBI won’t break in my door tomorrow because I received a transfer on my card from a drug dealer or kidnapper who decided to exchange dirty money for clean bitcoin through a conditional Bisq that asks no questions?
There is no ''clean'' and ''dirty'' Bitcoin on Bisq, all Bitcoin is equal.
Can you guarantee that FBI or Russian FSB won't break in someone doors using exchangers listed on Best Change website?
This was never reported to happen with Bisq and you can always choose how you want to receive fiat money, face to face cash or something else.

We will still keep our opinion that the world of decentralized cryptocurrencies and the world of fiat are two different ecosystems; each has its own rules, norms, risks and procedures.
Nobody is forcing you to exchange Bitcoin with fiat money, but Bisq offers freedom to choose whatever you want.
2872  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 16, 2023, 05:44:17 PM
So...
NotATether, ETFbitcoin, o_e_l_e_o, LoyceV are all against my concept of a captcha.
I am also against adding captchas for writing every post, and it would create big decrease in forum activity.
Maybe adding captchas could be considered for people who are writing many worthless posts in short amount of time.

@LoyceV can you check and test this tools I found for detecting AI bots?
This tools can be used freely and it's called GPT-2 Output Detector, GLTR and GPTZero.
They are not 100% correct all the time, but they can be indicator if someone is using AI for making posts.

2873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Call centres selling fake crypto taken down in Bulgaria, Serbia and Cyprus on: January 16, 2023, 05:18:07 PM
Good news from Europol - some call centres selling fake crypto were taken down.
Even scammers are using hardware wallets to avoid getting scammed by others.
I didn't know call centers like this exist in Europe but I recently heard there are many of them in Ukraine and Russia, and it's not going to be that easy to take them down like in the rest of the Europe.
There is also India, one of the biggest countries in the world and I think they are still number one position for tech support scammers.
I would watch out for all advertisements on social media networks, it's best to stop using them or install uBlockOrigin to hide all ads.
2874  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Unusual issues with Trezor Suite on: January 15, 2023, 10:21:13 PM
But I have noticed something strange working with the Trezor Suite. It doesn't recognize each click of the mouse for some reason. For example, when I enter my PIN code into the software, I often have to click on the numbers 2 or 3 times before Trezor Suite accepts them.
This thing never happened to me so you either have mouse that is not working correctly or your wInd0ws OS drivers for this device went wild.
Not only it never happened to me but I never heard of anyone else (millions of customers) mentioning this issue, so you must be unique case.
Try testing with different mouse, or if you are using laptop you can try with external mouse.
If this is not the case than your OS is probably in crap condition that needs to be reinstalled and replaced Wink

I have found out that it is indeed an issue with my mouse.
I bet it's miCroSofT certified mouse you are using Cheesy

2875  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet, Latest PC version 23.1.12. Bug or issue with my device? on: January 15, 2023, 10:03:58 PM
Could this be a bug or an issue with my device?
Can you confirm that your camera is working fine with other applications, and that latest drivers are installed?
Windows can be very buggy sometimes with external cameras on desktop computers, but I would suggest switching from closed source Exodus to some different wallet.
There are no many good open source desktop wallets, but you can use combination with hardware wallets like Trezor, or try mobile wallet called Unstoppable.money (for multi coins).
Trezor Suite works very good with QR codes and you won't have t worry about most attacks.
2876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to delivered or received goods by keeping the location secret?! on: January 15, 2023, 09:31:14 PM
I don't think it's safe to trade directly by face to face because the seller is know your face, the worst thing he might ask his friend to follow you from behind to know your location and your house. I still think using third party e.g. the expedition is safer since he doesn't have any idea what's inside the package etc.
Yeah if it's not safe for you than stay forever in your bomb shelter and never come out to buy anything because it's dangerous to go outside  Roll Eyes
I didn't say to go and meet with some unknown guy at night in some dark street corner and to bring suitcase full of money and private keys for all your coins.
People who trade p2p already know how to pick crowded public places and bring one or two friends with them.

Can you tell me how alternative name is going to help if they ask you to show your ID, which your name would be different with the alternative name.
Delivery guys don't really care if your ID is real or fake...just sayin.

That's very rare where I live. I'd be more worried about the delivery guy asking if you can open the front door to prove you really live there.
In some countries they do ask for your ID number, but it's just a stupid procedure and they don't care about it if it's real or not.
They won't check your blood and dna to confirm if this is true.
2877  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: January 15, 2023, 09:24:19 PM
Unfortunately we can't remove the monthly fees unless we increase the issuing fee. Monthly fees are taken by the issuing bank to host the card accounts.
You can give your customers the option to select how they want to pay the fees.
Some may prefer monthly fees, and others could choose to pay fees for more months, maybe with some discount.
I think the fees should be lower for digital cards.

Are you interested to get 1 card for yourself or more cards for your company/project?
No company is involved, I just want to get one or two cards for myself.
One would be digital and one physical card when you release it.

If it's OK, I could post the link to it and to Telegram.
Sure it's ok, post it here and you can add the links in your forum profile (and in signature space with ranking up).
2878  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: January 15, 2023, 08:38:32 PM
I watch a lot of NFL football and college basketball passing the time. I also gamble a little on gamdom when I have extra funds. I also play a couple games on my phone to pass the time, but none of that keeps me outta my head. Also, none of it gets me up and moving around. It's nuts to have a person who is capable of walking to lay flat 24/7.
Can you at least change your body positions, and move legs up and down?
Last time I didn't feel so good I had to be in bed for almost a week, and it was not easy to do nothing and it must be 1000 times harder for you, but praying could help you with negative thoughts.
I don't want to compare this with you and I don't know if you can watch movies, but your situation reminds me a lot on old movie called Misery from 1990, with James Caan and Kathy Bates.
I just hope you don't have any nurses to take care of you like it was done in that movie Wink
Hold on buddy, I wish you all the best and I hope to hear you walking soon enough.
2879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teach me how on: January 15, 2023, 07:43:21 PM
How do you use this forum search engine properly? Occasionally you search for things and the result is not significant and you make a topic on it and you get it's been discussed a few times before, I guess someone needs to teach me how.
One more additional option you can use is searching with Ninjastic website, that is made by member TryNinja.
I found that this method can be much more effective since you can search by specific member/author, custom dates, title, post content, addresses, etc.
Free bonus is that Ninjastic website will even show you archived and deleted/modified posts:

2880  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Godisnji pregled aktivnosti domaceg podforuma on: January 15, 2023, 07:25:36 PM
