2961  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 19, 2014, 03:49:38 PM
Why is UpDown still in the "Payments not yet confirmed" section, given they have paid for the first week?

Anyway, thank you for doing this Bitcoininformation; it's a really useful service.  Smiley

You should clearly spend more time gaming then.  Grin

LOL  Grin

However i gladly play all retrostuff; mame games, old console games and even C64 games.
They are all free and very different in concept compared to the new glossy stereotyped stuff.
Old generation rocks  Cheesy

I still have the ZSnes emulator installed here, with 4 or 5 games ready to go, and D-Fend Reloaded for the old dos games. Sadly, I end up never using them, because I really don't have free time these days...  Sad

Yeah, right, because every Arab hates the west, isn't it? Come on, you've got to be smarter than that... besides, the polls are public, online, and cover a broad range of subjects. It isn't simple hate mongering; it's that people tend to hate you when you're killing their friends and family left and right. And whatever happened to your "they loved the invasion", for it to move to "they're educated to hate Americans"?

And Hitler had no such majority voting him to power. He was appointed by the then president, Hindenburg, to lead a coalition government since none of the parties had been able to form a majority government. It was only after this that he was able to effectively seize power, by either banning or harassing the political opposition. But even ignoring all that, hindsight is 20/20 isn't it?

As for Pinochet: murdering thousands of Chileans, torturing over 30000, maybe up to 200000 forced into exile and then persecuted by the secret police, more hundreds of thousands that were forced to flee due to the economic crisis caused by the measures being forced by Washington, and you see "nothing wrong" there?? Please learn some history; at the very least it will stop you looking like a fool.  Angry

1, i lived in EAST more than 30 years and live in WEST world more than 14 years, i had 2 University degrees.

2, my personl experience told me that how evil communism did.

both the 2 points told me that at least i am not so foolish as you look at ..  Grin

save time my friend, just answer me a simple question:  when 9.11 tragedy happened, did you feel happy or unhappy?  Roll Eyes

A long life and university degrees don't automatically translate to a wise person. And what does my feelings about 9/11 have to do with any of this?
2964  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is why you shouldn't vote Hilary on: May 19, 2014, 03:26:02 PM
i kinda prefer elizabeth warren. at least we'd start to see someone actually represent the people and hunt down wallstreet/bankers for wrecking our economy. but if she were the nominee, that would mean she'd have to "make deals" in order to fundraise, which means she'd just become a corporate billionaire.

What if it was Elizabeth Warren and Jesse Ventura?  Grin

Or he is just stuck on one game, much like everybody does with LoL.
I recently started to play Minecraft, with a modpack. Its kinda fun, something new to try.
The thing most close to Minecraft I played was Terraria, but Terraria is far more Castlevania/Metroid style with far more RPG elements.

I would really like to play Minecraft; for all I've seen so far (and played in an old demo they had up on the page) it really seems like my type of game... but I'm afraid it will take away all the precious little free time I still have left.  Grin

By the way, I don't know if you follow Zero Punctuation on The Escapist, but I found this particularly funny when it came out: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/2680-Minecraft.

Well, I was talking about 1973, and yes the USA was very much responsible for it. Maybe the name Pinochet rings a bell?

In relation to the Iraqi war, you're in the minority if you think it was "liberation"... I'm aware of 2 polls that directly or indirectly touch upon how the Iraqi people felt about it: the Doha poll I mentioned and a poll by the Brookings Institution. By a vast majority the people were unhappy with the economy, security, and their lives in general. When asked who they viewed as a threat to their countries, the United States and Israel were the highest threats to them. If you're in the receiving end, that spells invasion to me, not liberation.

in religion point of view what you called '' vast majority'' in Iraq is educated to hate US and Isreal for many years. That is the point.

so in my opinion sometimes vast majority doesn't make any sense, a good example is that german majority voted for Hilter to power before world war II.

Pinochet case in 1973 was a part of Cold war against the spread of communism, nothing wrong .

Why is there two threads one which says win 0.08 and another 0.06 ?

Do you mean the thread by monbux, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527810? (though I can't see the 0.06 btc anywhere) I guess leepsteer00 is monbux's referral and decided to get refs of his own.  Grin

thank you saif92/faiza1990  Smiley.

Well, that's still about 2 months away, given that you only get 14 activity every 2 weeks. Then again, for someone who registered over a year ago, that's probably nothing.  Smiley

You can't expect him - or anyone else - to check every single post manually.
-sni-

Afaik, Stunna has someone helping and it takes them ~2 days. So we are talking about ~32 workhours, which to me sounds enough to check every post at least quickly. Not sure if this is actually done, but its certainly not impossible or an inhumane task.

To be honest I doubt he really does that manually; if you think about it, it's a lot of work, considering the number of participants, the stupid amount of posts they'd have to go through, and the language barrier of many of those. And on top of that, it would still only be a quick glance, perhaps looking at size and a bit of content, but certainly ignoring context. In other words, even the bots mentioned here could probably fool such a method of verification. It's not impossible they do it, as you mentioned, but it seems like it would be a waste of time. On the other hand, it's probably not difficult to create a bot that does just that, and flags users that are suspicious for further manual verification.

Please confirm me .

If i get to Sr.Member before the payday will i get Sr.Member payment ?
You should get paid at the rate of full member for the posts you made as a full and for the posts that you made as a sr. you should get paid at the rate of sr. member

That seems like a whole lot of trouble for little gain; it might just be more profitable to pay the highest rate rather than wasting the time with it. On the other hand, if payments were fully automated and took that into account, that could be the best option. But I don't think they're there yet.

Not exactly always against war, but I think you should have very strong arguments in favor of it; such was not the case for Iraq, amongst many other wars.

And do you know what was the first 9/11? Because it wasn't in 2001, but it was worse by far...

it worse by far....   hallo friend,  hundreds of years agao there was no USA  Grin

i do not think iraq war was invasion, sorry.

it was liberation !!!

at least before Iraq war there was no democracy.

where is Snowden now? Russia.

2 mother-fuckers

i suggest he should go to north korea or cuba.

So, you admit that you made up the "Iraqi are happy with the invasion". And in relation to democracy, not that America wanted democracy in Iraq, but even if that was a fortunate side effect of the invasion, remember there are more ways than one to skin a rabbit; beating it with a hammer until there's nothing left doesn't tend to be a good way though.

As for Snowden, what does it say about the "West" that he had to run to Russia so that he could ensure his freedom, and maybe even life?

against war? you forgot 9.11

What choices did he have? Go to his superiors, responsible for the whole thing and ask them apologize? People should know what their taxes are used for.

yes your tax was used on Iraq war but iraq people be happy on that

You're kidding, right? Last I checked, maybe up to 2 million dead between sanctions and conflict, a destroyed country and economy, a high number of birth defects due to the type of weapons used on them, etc.. and they're happy?? What do you have to do to make them angry, I wonder?  Roll Eyes

Anyway, do you have anything to back that up? Because according to the March 2012 polls of the Doha Institute, you're obviously wrong.

Ah, you're right. I hadn't even noticed he had no signup post, though his post count being so close to his activity could probably have been a good indicator that something wasn't right. Tongue

I take it he hates Google's search captcha.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't believe I've every met up with a Google search captcha. Is it possible some countries outside the US have them?

I haven't personally seen any of those yet as I tend to use startpage or duckduckgo instead of google, but apparently, if you do a lot of weird searches (or searches that violate their TOS), you might be hit with captchas.

EDIT: here's someone seemingly afflicted by the condition: http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/45216/how-to-get-rid-of-captcha-prompted-by-google-while-searching. Tongue

As others have pointed out, expect payments to come closer to the 48 hour mark after the 17th of the month, so sometime tomorrow; after all, payments with PD are manual, and there are still a lot of people working on this campaign.

The op has to just follow the sentence in his signature, "Leave fear for love".
Just love Google and all fear will go away. In the middle time, you can always use https://startpage.com/

https://duckduckgo.com/ is another cool search engine we can use in the meantime, as well as https://www.ixquick.com/, which is run by the same guys from Startpage, but excludes google results.

My highest earning in a day with bitcoins only? I am generally poor and my total income is like... non existent. Everything I earn is from sig campaign for posting couple post. I do not post much and I am just member so it is pretty low income anyway...

You'll be a Full Member in a little over a week, and hopefully other campaigns will try to match UpDown's rates, which will provide a substantial increase to all our incomes. Grin
