3141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed as Money? on: March 11, 2021, 09:46:51 AM
~
Right now very small percentage among the global population is aware of bitcoin. Possibly this will be around 4-5% of the population. In the upcoming year this percentage seems to increase as more common people are getting into cryptocurrency following the participation of large scale firms on buying of bitcoin.

Right now people prioritise bitcoin as an investment, and people won't easily move to bitcoin considering it same as currency. Even in the long run I expect bitcoin to serve as an alternate to traditional fiat.
Is it really that small? Back then I thought we already have the most awareness in Bitcoin, but then this. Huh
Pretty sure that even media is aware of it now.
The only one-digit percentage we got is the adoption, maybe not awareness.
From Elon Musk's mentioning Dogecoin, I think that would actually get the awareness of many as he has millions of followers. It could be not Dogecoin, but I believe that people would think Bitcoin first before Dogecoin and even Ethereum.
3142  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you trade? on: March 11, 2021, 09:40:18 AM
~
Only the third one now.
I don't have the all day to keep looking on the charts to actively trade.
I could still maximize it by means of doing my usual strategy before by day trading, but I am way more off now in my schedule. The play-safe strats, they said.
3143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 11, 2021, 09:38:55 AM
So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?

Thats good profits and it is easy to feel the urge to sell your BTC now and take your guaranteed profits.

But we are in the middle of a Bull run and BTC is up 12% this week and now is not a good time to sell your BTC I feel most will agree.

I understand that kind of urge as I mentioned in my previous posts earlier, but now it seems like we might see another ATH soon.
Though I won't advise to keep on expecting that, but just like those gut feelings that one usually feels when he has been holding for years already.
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: March 11, 2021, 07:03:02 AM
~
The only thing that I could think of making people powerful from it is how potential wealth it can give to a random person and authorities got nothing to do with it because it is decentralized.
Imagine if Bitcoin actually surged and made many millionaire.
3145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a gift cards on: March 11, 2021, 07:01:02 AM

It's not that far from being stolen from what I can see. Even back then when I was buying a gaming credit like Steam credits, it turned out to be used ones. I guess just hackers getting smarter these days.
I wonder how would it go if it is Bitcoin. It is not even centralized and there ain't nobody that's gonna help you to retrieve that stolen amount.

I remembered someone in Marketplace section back then that he was planning to make some business for prepaid Bitcoin. I wonder how it went through now though.
3146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The lack of TRUST in the crypto space right now is horrifying on: March 11, 2021, 06:54:22 AM

Been here since 2017, and surely many hodlers from 2009 would say the same anyway. If BTC was indeed in a horrifying moment right now, we shouldn't be here lol.
For sure 60k is waiting for us right now.
3147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 11, 2021, 06:50:33 AM

From 12k huh. I use mainly USD as my basis in checking in how much I earned already even though my local currency is PHP.
That's quite a profit already, OP.
It's more than 30k already, but from how BTC seems to move right now, it casts that hodl spell into you right now so I suggest looking critically in the price for now.
However if you really need some money, I wouldn't suggest hodling further for obvious reasons.
3148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The history of bitcoin ATMs is much longer than I thought! on: March 10, 2021, 07:56:27 PM
~
I wasn't aware that ATMs needed an ID. Did it really needed a verification when doing transactions? Here in my country, I haven't heard much of Bitcoin ATMs as those were not that common and in fact they're not in non-busy areas actually.
Anyways, if some ATMs really require such government issued ids then I would somehow think twice before I even decide to dive into that kind of stuff. Wallets in my desktop is already more than enough anyway.
I can use online buying to get myself spare BTCs. It might not be that secured than ATMs but I can manage.
3149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best place to invest, earn and predict among new projects???? on: March 10, 2021, 07:42:32 PM
~
Me either. Not sure what's really the direct objective of the post.
I am not sure about the mentioned projects because they're either new or just something that I didn't really know that exist.
Seems like on of the lead of a project answers everyone's question here and now anyway.
I guess that's a perk.
3150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Managers Wearing Bitcoin Signature, Funny Irony on: March 10, 2021, 12:53:39 PM
Nothing wrong with that, OP.
There are things called "agreement" or "contract". They just need to manage the campaign that they were hired at. They're managers not the advertisers though some BM do that, but they aren't obliged to wear if the owner or the devs don't even require it.

It's like you're saying that when a software developers works in a company then he doesn't have the option to freelance after work.
3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which One of This Features of a Coin Would Make You Invest Your Time and Money? on: March 10, 2021, 12:50:09 PM
Well decentralized is what I care the most that's why I first invested in Bitcoin.
I don't want any authorities to be involved with how much I hold.
I am quite puzzled on what OP wants to point out.
Is he promoting a coin or making up a discussion to be talked about here?
3152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: March 10, 2021, 05:52:00 AM
If you look thoroughly, then BITCOIN is just money, but like money, can it improve the world around, and humanity as a whole !?
I don’t think “good” and “BITCOIN” are the same thing, most likely the opposite.
Because of money, a person becomes weaker, he does not need to do something, to develop, because money will do it for him.
Does using computer make you feel better to say that here in the forum?
I mean you could just gather up a lot of people and discuss about that matter since it is all about forum discussion, right?
Why bother use electricity and a computer if you can do the same thing anyway in personal discussion? Roll Eyes
But oh wait, imagine these times right now. It is pandemic, right? How would you even  manage to do your goal to discuss this topic you mentioned?
That's where convenience comes in place.

Imagine a certain shut-in person dying for that anime plushie he's been looking for but then he doesn't feel like going out to buy one because it is way miles away to get to the shop.
Oh wait, the shop accepts bitcoin payment and it would be delivered upon confirmation of the transaction.
The person would just need to accomplish that transaction and the plushie's all his now. He doesn't even have to bother going out with the risk of infecting himself due to pandemic. I'll add up to that as relevance of use these days, not just convenience.
3153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Younger Generation and Revolut on: March 10, 2021, 05:45:04 AM
I also have Bitcoin in a third-party app. Though I wouldn't encourage it that much because of what the OP already mentioned on how his/her daughter doesn't have control that much on how she holds the coin.
I am kinda worried most of the time that my third-party app might consider questioning me on how much I hold just on how much Bitcoin is right now and freeze my account.
3154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government Creates Own Blockchain & Cryptocurrency on: March 10, 2021, 05:40:55 AM
~
I looked up in Quora site and check this out.
https://www.quora.com/Which-countries-working-on-their-own-cryptocurrency
Notably Ecuador, Estonia, China and even Japan makes their own crypto currency. I can remember that one from Japan is J Coin.

If it happens? Well it already happened but look at where Bitcoin is right now, OP.
Even though it is cheaper per coin than on how much Bitcoin is, Bitcoin is still decentralized so that's that. Centralized coins isn't for everybody.
3155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is the Best Stable Coin for Saving? on: March 10, 2021, 05:37:55 AM
Some say that DAI is the one that cannot be frozen but you should check that out first, OP. I would still suggest USDT in the end, because it's what most reasonably suggest but I still highly suggest searching for the first one that I mentioned though.
3156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions That You Would Like To Ask To The Developer Before You Invest on: March 09, 2021, 08:07:07 PM
~
Top 5, you say?
1. The common one. Since programmers & developers solve problems, what are the relevant problems these days that you want to solve?
2. Is this project for long-term like it isn't just a one-stop project that you'll stop updating after stable release? Even popular social media sites still undergo many updates just to solve every user's needs.
3. Is the project gonna be an open source? I am a programmer as well as web dev and I am quite enthusiastic about these, maybe not much in the blockchain.
4. Maybe not much in dev's identity, but can they prove that they had built projects in the past? How many repo or projects have you done in the past?
5. Since from developer to me is already like a developer to potential client relationship, how can you ensure yourself that if I invest in your project that there wouldn't be an exit scam happening or you wouldn't just disappear into thin air?  This would seem like a cliche question already but it is not something to be overlooked at.
3157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World Without Bitcoin on: March 09, 2021, 07:58:21 PM
Have you ever thought what would the world be without Bitcoin? Imagine if the cryptocurrency was never invented and we'd still be living with Fiat (paper money and credit/debit cards). People would be subject to banks' desires without a chance for freedom. A cashless society would be only a dream, without innovations in the FinTech space. Gold would still be an option, but not everyone will be able to access it. The unbanked people will be forced to deal with banks in order to participate in the mainstream economy. A lot of challenges and hurdles would arise without a decentralized form of currency for the enjoyment of all.

What do you think the world will be today without Bitcoin? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Decentralization form of currency isn't for everyone that's why people still have the choice to use Bitcoin or not.
The world will still keep spinning without Bitcoin, or we could expect the global economy to be a bit....different if Bitcoin wasn't invented.
Feels like it is inevitable to be invented anyway as not everybody wanted to use banks in the first place.
Me in my family is the only one that uses and knows Bitcoin. They're just not interested into digital money or they just don't feel safe when their money is in digital form. Thinking all about hacks and all about the vulnerabilities in digital world.
3158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paypal make bitcoin mainstream? The website makes me think so... on: March 09, 2021, 01:44:14 PM
I cannot see anything about Bitcoin from the OP.
~
Still depends on some people.
I still saw some common people in social media showing hate to Bitcoin while I know they're truly familiar with digital payment systems like Paypal.
Only thing to consider is how will people look at Bitcoin.
3159  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is over $54,000, hold or sell? on: March 09, 2021, 01:42:00 PM
54K? Our last ATH was around 57k.
Even if it breaches past 60k, I won't sell a lot. Maybe just bits for important financial use but majority will be meant for long-term hodling so that's that.
I would still advise you to hodl at that price. Still early to sell, as we're just from price corrections lately.

Smells like a fishy shill for me.
Considering you just copy-pasted that coin in different threads and made one for yourself as well.
That's not how you would convince or persuade me at the least to invest to a certain coin.
Feels like just like those pump and dump coins.
