321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: August 07, 2023, 08:53:49 PM
Not only for those who are self-learning but even to those who rely on others to learn trading, at they should still be careful and slowly assess their learning. Otherwise, they will believe in wrong information that was being fed to them, and apply those in their trades that will eventually mess their trades and end up very unprofitable. That’s why be cautious in every trade attempts, especially that it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen in a very changeable market.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: August 07, 2023, 08:28:29 PM

They are likely have no experience yet in crypto. Its a normal question for those who want to make money as they are exposed to some influencers who introduced BTC as get rich quick and they are also short term investors. The result of being naive somehow, wait til they hit the bear market in 2026, they will call BTC a scam.

Yes. Those who expect instant 100% profits are definitely those who have no or less experience to note. So they will do everything hoping to gain profits instantly, without realizing that if they will do investing and trading in a rush, their money will also have higher chances to be easily gone by the wind. That’s the reason why bitcoin is always advised for long term hodling, not because it never gives quick profits, but because it’s only on long term hodling where people get significant profits that are worth waiting for.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 04, 2023, 04:34:57 PM
Jake Paul is saying that Nate Diaz has accepted his offer to fight a MMA style rematch after this fight. That seems a little strange since this fight hasn’t happened yet, but I get the feeling they both know Jake is going to win. Maybe Nate getting beat up is part of the deal for him to get his $10 million to choke Jake out in the octagon.

Did they inked that yet? Because there should be some contracts involved if ever a rematch like that will happen as we both know that often times, Jake Paul is just saying things that he doesn't even mean and it's just to hype their fight. Besides, we all both know that he will not last that long inside the octagon against a fighter like Nate who would gladly choke him to death until he taps. It's quite interesting but it's much more interesting if it's already inked.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 04, 2023, 03:35:37 PM
I missed that match, statistically Al Nassr is better and they should can won, but somehow the result is not wow for them. They are still lucky that Ronaldo was able to get a goal in that match, if Roanaldo can't score, maybe they will lose. Although the result is a draw but it's not too bad because they can also qualify for the quarter finals, later against Raja Casablanca will be an important match for them because they must to win in that match to qualify for the semifinals.

Al Nassr dominated the match maybe because they got a lot of support so they are more confident but unfortunately the shot on target is still low only 3 out of 9 shots
Overall this game is unsatisfactory Al Nassr seems to have not found the right rhythm maybe the impact of some new players have not adapted, Sadio Mane is one of the highlights, as a new player he has not been able to integrate into the team maybe he needs more matches. In the next match Al Nassr must be able to win because Raja Casablanca is not a formidable opponent.

It's too soon for Sadio Mane to make a difference and we shouldn't expect for that much sooner because he still needs more time and games to be able to adapt to what the team needed, there will be a time for that because Al Nassr will not acquire him for no reasons. In fact, it is also the reason why the coach sends him in half time as a substitution and not on the starting line-up because his presence in the team is not yet fixed, he will have his fixed position in the upcoming games.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: August 03, 2023, 08:55:14 PM
Ok we might as well get back to the Charlo again, as last weekend we have seen them in the crowd against Crawford. But they have seen how Crawford beat their boy Spence so for sure they wanted to get back in the ring ASAP.

And Jermell said that they have the recipe to beat Canelo, hehehe.

But we will see, he will be jumping 2 weight class to chase a bigger paycheck against the cash cow Canelo.

Hmm.. 2 weight class division jump, isn't this too much? Oh well we never know Manny did jump 2 weight class and dominates the division but I do not think this will also be the case here.  Canelo is very convenient fighting in his weight Division and can even go higher in weight division so I think Jermell Charlo is asking for a beating here.  I am also expecting a boring fight here but who knows, maybe Canelo will overpower and KO Jermell here because of his natural weight advantage.

Manny Pacquiao's case is a bit different though because he made that long haul climb way back when he was still young where he skipped super-fly and bantam, compared to Jermell Charlo now who is already 33 years old and for the record, Charlo will only skip one weight class, just the middleweight because he will meet Canelo at super-middle.

More news about Jermell Charlo, I just learned today that he will be stripped of his WBO title and will not be an undisputed champion anymore. At the same time, Tim Tszyu will now be a full WBO champion because Charlo's stripping is described as imminent.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: August 03, 2023, 08:00:42 PM

So now, we will wait what will be the official PPV numbers and it has somewhat around 500k-800k or even break the 1 million mark.

The numbers are already out, Errol Spence Jr. Vs Terence Crawford PPV Buys Reach 700k, Bring In $50 Million In Revenue
Quote
The highly anticipated boxing match between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. was a huge success, generating an estimated 700,000 pay-per-view buys and bringing in more than $50 Million in revenue. This is the highest number of buys for a boxing PPV since Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

You prediction is correct, the PPV buys is lower than the Garcia vs Davis fight but of course it's still a big success.

Nice numbers, yeah, it fall below the numbers of Garcia vs Davis, but this is still considered as a success and could be the second biggest fight for this year. As we have said, Crawford is not a PPV crowd drawer, but with Spence as his dance partner, getting into 700k buys is already huge for this two.

And obviously, the live gates and PPV has given them huge paycheck and most likely easy 10-20 million each for this boxers. And we are talking about the rematch, and majority says that it will be the same result. But who knows, at 154 lbs, Spence might be stronger.

Just like what I said in the previous discussions, I'm already expecting an average PPV buys because after all, this fight will be watched by people around the world as it's been waited for several years before it finally happened. But since we are in the modern age now, having over 1 Million PPV buys will be too much too ask, even Canelo Alvarez will have a hard time having that these days because in every fight night, the bout can almost be watched for free without paying for the PPV as there will be some streamers that will offer a free streaming in-exchange for some donation and note, that is just voluntary.
Now if we compare it to the old days where there was no internet, only television and cable, we can sure expect that big fights like these will go over 1 Million PPV buys.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 03, 2023, 05:50:50 PM
Lakers is considered to be a dark horse as well, if I'm not mistaken, of course some of the core is back but still, a ageing Lebron and then injury prone AD? Still not sure how far the Lakers can go in this season.

No matter what happens to them in the Lakers this season, they have already done their job and won the championship because that's just all that it matters when you are with the Superteam trying to be a contender in the NBA league. It will be more amazing when they can get back to the NBA playoffs this season because they easily made a great run last season and also beat the defending champion easily. The worse thing they did was signed Westbrook despite having multiple stars that can help them with the championship again last season.

But some fans are saying that what they did was not enough because the last time they won the championship was in the middle of Covid pandemic where they had in-house games with a lot of rules to prevent Covid-19 from entering the league, moreover, at that time, NBA was still at an experimenting phase and not all players did play just like the usual season. Anyway, people have been divided when it comes to the topic, but yes, a win is a win and nobody can take that from them.

There is still in doubts about what the Lakers achieved, but a title is still a title and even it's a pandemic setup, the players are still
playing at the best that they can.

Though it's still better to see Lakers with LeBron to win another title, and with how they are forming the team right now.

There's always chances for anything and who knows AD will play healthy this coming season, still early to conclude if what
will be the fate if they will perform and have that chance to win a title.

Talking about Anthony Davis, did you guys saw his recent transformation this summer?
In a video that I saw earlier this day in Facebook, AD was looking thin and thankfully they explained why afterwards about his current form because it was said and confirmed by Rob Pelinka himself that AD will go back to his original role (PF) while Jaxson Hayes will be the Lakers new center. It seems to me that the Lakers are now going back to their old formation specifically the 19-20 season where they got a chip.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 02, 2023, 08:25:04 PM
Not just from Mexico alone, people from across the world will flock towards a certain continent and with a reason, but we cannot deny that there might be some people who are taking this as an advantage where watching the FIFA wasn't the reason why they are flying towards Northern America. They want to migrate legally to illegally when their supposed stay are over, but that will not be a reason for them to go back and face the reality because their first reason why they chose to fly under the guise is because of the opportunity that they can have in these countries as the options for them is not the same if they will go back.
This is going to be a huge problem for the US to solve, on one hand they want to receive fans that love soccer and want nothing else but to watch the matches live, on the other hand they are going to have a lot of people that are going to try to take advantage of the situation and outstay their visa and remain at the US for as long as they can and get a job there, how will they solve this problem? I have no idea but they better come up with something good, otherwise people are going to complain endlessly about this.

@Silberman according to various news reports it’s rumoured that Biden government is planning to organise a task force which should make the process easy for obtaining the visa for the fans who wish to travel to see the World Cup but nothing is confirmed yet. Furthermore with elections due next year whoever win’s may make further changes to this task force hence I don’t expect much clarity on this till the next year’s election are over.

With these politicians riding the topic, it might be more messy instead of being organized so that the flow of the upcoming big event will be handled correctly because it will be safe to say that these politicians have their own way how to handle that kind of event and we cannot also remove the fact that some of them are just saying things that are just almost too good to be true just to make their ratings go higher.

...hence I don’t expect much clarity on this till the next year’s election are over.

Precisely and I agree with you about that.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2023, 07:38:16 PM
Consistency is going to be the key here. I don’t think any fighter needs to have a very flashy style of fighting. He just needs to have a big mouth and know how to run his mouth around to sell fights and it does not matter if his actual style of fighting is a little boring. As long as he’s consistent, he’s going to get what he deserves.

With consistency and hard work, I genuinely believe that Casimero is going to get what he is dreaming for.
While we do believe that Casimero knows those stuff and everything and can sell himself to their camp. I just recently saw about the thing with Donaire.

It was tough and hard time again for him as it's an emotional tweet that he has posted on his twitter account.

For anyone who wants to know about it, just go ahead on his handler/account.

It's hard not to notice it because it's been shared to almost all social media platforms and sports outlet are getting busy again because of this issue that Nonito Donaire himself posted. It will be hard for him to digest it specially after the fact that it came from his own father whom he thought he had his 100 percent unwavering support but in reality, he hoped that his own son will be defeated in his campaign to be a champion once again and worse, will be KO'd against Santiago. That's just too unfortunate man!
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 02, 2023, 06:54:24 PM
Indeed a great news! Another a pro player joining at Al-Nassr, and it's game time. The Saudi Pro team, along with some talented former European players, blend well and promised to deliver thrilling and competitive matches.
Sadio Mane has made a fantastic move, and you can see the smile on his face that says it all. Congratulations to Sadio Mane for signing with a new club where he'll get regular playing time. It's a perfect time for him to get back his form and confidence. I have believes that as he shares the field with Cristiano. Here's hoping very successful season for Al-Nassr.
Determine from this moment is quite difficult. In addition to An Nassr, 3 other clubs that are members of PIF have almost the same strength. They made a lot of big transfers, so they will probably be competing fiercely. It is difficult to predict from the beginning. There may be many surprises as long as the transfer market remains open. Maybe Ronaldo can play more of a finishing role and Mane moves more to create chances.

Mane move to Saudi Arabia pro league has a lot to do with Africa players in Europe, as Africa best his present will help many Young stars sign in. He has good reputation and influence in Africa. I'm happy he left Bayern after they disgraced him. He will be happy in Saudi Arabia, he's a Muslim a respected on as such, he will adapt quickly to their life style.

Playing along side,Ronaldo is something everyone wants to watch, two great stars partnership.
Now that's something that I wanted to happen because Sadio Mane certainly deserved to be respected and it's a loss from Bayern because they did not see his full potential and it seems to me as well that they don't have what it takes to unlock Mane's true talent on their side. Anyway, its' good to know that Sadio Mane finally made a move and decided to come along beside Ronaldo in Al Nassr. This team will surely have boost because of their new additional.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a viable option for newcomers? on: August 01, 2023, 09:50:38 PM
For some it could be but on my part, I always believe it’s better to trust your own experience in trading than to rely in copy trading which I think is not worth doing in the long run. Even if we say those trades are done by professional traders, that will never guarantee that whatever work for them will create the same impact on us. We all have different attacks in trading. That is why it’s still a great option to rely on your own self and trade the best way that you can, by not taking part in copy trading simply because it’s not for everyone. Our success will only be achieved only by our own hardwork and efforts in trading.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: August 01, 2023, 09:26:21 PM
The only reason why a person never get rich overtime simply because he is not working on it. Because even if you are helping your loved ones with their finances, that is not enough reason that you will not prosper on your own. The more that you are supporting your family when it comes to financial aspects, the more that you will strive hard in your life so that you will achieve financial stability in order to give more to your family. That is not a burden for me but actually a motivation for me that everything in life is possible as long as you keep on doing to the best of your ability and you will never stop taking advantage on every opportunity that comes especially if it will improve your status in life.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: August 01, 2023, 08:53:13 PM
You are analysing wrongly. Check 2020 and 2021 and see what bitcoin price were. Bitcoin hit all-time-high in 2021. So how come your statement that 2017/2018 was bull year for bitcoin is correct?

2018 was a bear market for bitcoin, just like 2022.

But many people are expecting 2034/2025 to be great and expecting all-time-high because of bitcoin halving. Psychologically, people think bitcoin price will increase after halving.
I guess that’s the most awaited part if you are a bitcoiner, seeing bitcoin halving nearly approaching. However, that does not mean that bitcoin and other crypto prices will immediately surge high when bitcoin halving is here. No, it will still take months before you can see the final effect of bitcoin halving into the market.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to grow the bitcoin you have? on: August 01, 2023, 08:26:52 PM
How to grow the bitcoin you have without being involved in gambling or putting it in a custody wallet for APY. Is there any proven low risk method.
Offer your services and get paid through Bitcoin. You can also receive payment using other methods, and then you can simply buy Bitcoin and hold onto it.  Other than that, there would be risks that you'll lose some of your bitcoin investments, like when lending them. Wherein some borrowers might not pay you.
If you have great skills in crypto jobs, you can actually make it as a side hustle and receive compensation through bitcoin. Also, participating in signature campaign will help to earn bitcoin as well. And the most common strategy to grow your bitcoin, is to accumulate and hold it for long term. Though there is risk in investing, but it’s a good option to grow your bitcoin if you are knowledgeable and patient enough to understand the market volatility.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIGNS THAT A CRYPTO PROJECT IS A SCAM on: July 31, 2023, 09:51:10 PM
Crypto project team members are fake or copied from other companies should be included in that list. Well, the signs are the basics in my opinion because that's what people do when they want to know if the project is a scam. If you really want to avoid a scam projects then you should not buy their shitcoins or invest in their project. In my opinion, it is better not to buy or invest even though there are some projects that are not scam and just buy Bitcoin.
I guess the only solution to avoid being scammed is to focus directly on bitcoin. Because if you continue to entertain a lot of crypto projects, you will be deceived in the long run because you will be confused which of them are real and which of them are just too good to be true. So just stay away from altcoins, but stick to bitcoin. No if’s and but’s. It’s okay to experience profits at a long term at least you know it’s legit, than fail in the trap of altcoins and you’ll only lose in the end.
336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is your DCA solution? on: July 31, 2023, 09:32:28 PM
I just a little advice where to buy bitcoin with minimal withdrawal such as I buy bitcoin $20 and withdrawal fee $1, it's not heavy for me if the fee is still $1.

Using Binance for DCA when the withdrawal fees are so high is really not recommended. I suggest you look for a better option. One option is P2P. Ask in local communities if someone offers the option of buying and selling in person in your area. There are also P2P platforms, or you can view market offers on this forum. Just be sure to choose a reputable member or use escrow services.

Right. With P2P, you can always negotiate your partner on the price that you both agreed, without the need to experience high withdrawal fees. Another solution is to involve yourself in jobs that are compensated with bitcoin. You need to acquire suitable skills of course so that you will be accepted in your job. Not definitely that you will expect a long lasting job like your day job, but at least the compensation you get could be 5x or 10x from you salary in fiat.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18, holding my bitcoin and looking forward :) on: July 31, 2023, 08:36:43 PM
I am 18 yo
schooling in private college
I flip stuff for cash part time regularly to make some extra cash

I have 1 Bitcoin @ 29k  & I keep about $3000 in cash in my bank as emergency fund

I have 3 months study break so I am most probably gonna take on a job to fund the bitcoin , trying to fund as much as I can before the halving in 2024

I have been researching on bitcoin for a few months now and by researching I meant like the purpose of bitcoin and I see how it is so much better than fiat(cash) . The only thing that can stop bitcoin is probably the government. After understanding the purpose of bitcoin it gave me more confidence on buying it and not seeing it as a 'investment' but more of a freedom digital currency.

I am gonna start deciding to sell it at end of 2024 , but I guess i could wait till end of 2025.

Hopefully bitcoin can save me from this crazy inflation and break me out of this financial crisis.
If you guys have any tips , do let me know ... I would be very grateful for it.
Even the government cannot stop bitcoin for good. They can always ban or restrict it, but they can never put an end to bitcoin seeing a lot of bitcoin investors and traders are doing it secretly, away from the eyes of the government. Also, do not think that bitcoin will be good enough to sell at a certain year. You might be discouraged thinking for that especially if the opposite has happened instead. My advice is, sell if there are possible profits. But only a portion of it, not your whole bitcoin.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2023, 06:56:07 PM
Jaylen Brown has extended his contract with the Boston Celtics for 5 years and $ 304 Million.
Jaylen Brown will earn $60.8 Million annually.
TBH, I didn't expect that this contract will push through. Maybe the impact of Brown towards the success of the team for the past few years is just that big that they give him that huge contract. I wonder how will Tatum respond to this one knowing that he has more impact than him in terms of success.

Anyway, congratulations for him for getting the richest contract in NBA history. I just hope that his performance in the future will be better now than what it last season.

That's almost x2 of Tatum's contract, as per report, his projected salary next seasons is $32,600,060, way lower than what Brown would receive, but it should not change the chemistry of the team as the management could decide to give Tatum a big contract as well once he will renew, but of course, he has to give the expectation of the team management so they will give him a bigger contract.

I don't think that the team's chemistry will be affected because of Jaylen Brown's new contract, instead, the team will have a boost because Brown has been given the contract that he wanted and we have Jayson Tatum as well who I think will make a good run next season so that he can secure a contract extension this summer because he is also eligible to sign a supermax contract that is already rumored to be bigger than Brown. And then we have Kristaps Porzingis, a newly acquired player through a 3 team trade.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 28, 2023, 05:20:27 PM
This battle between an aggressor and a counter-puncher is expected to be a captivating spectacle, as both fighters showcase their exceptional skills. It will undoubtedly be worth watching, and personally, I will be rooting for Inoue in this fight, perhaps even considering placing a bet on his victory. What do you think: will this match result in a knockout or a unanimous decision?

Hard to tell either it will be a technical knockout or via decision but if we look at the past fights made by Inoue then provably it will be a K.O victory as he is always looking for spectacular win on every fight he made. But we shouldn't downplay Tapales capability since he still a champion and anything could go wrong if the phase will not favor to that Japanese fighter and there's still huge chance for him to win against Inoue. For sure this is a tough match but everything could be handle by extensive training and proper strategy on how his opponent fight.
Basing up on Boxrec stats of Tapales.

37W-3L-0D
19KO's on win
3 KO on loss

Having the percentage knock out of 47.5%
https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/482863

Comparing out on Inoue which does have 88% on which means that when it comes to raw power then there's no doubt that Inoue does have the advantage
but i agree on what had been said that better not to take that lightly on Tapales, everything could happen and still if ever this fight would push through, they have still
4 months for them to have that intense training. Which one of the two would be able to unify all the belts?

Right, it is still too soon to tell that Inoue already have an advantage over Tapales just because of the facts laid above and could achieve an undisputed title in this division. Let's not forget that there's a lot of cases like this where people are already expecting a certain situation but an upset happened as his foe that is much more experienced in the weight class managed to prove that he's not really easy to handle.

Perfect example for that is the battle of Canelo Alvarez vs Dmity Bivol where people already expected that the latter will lost the fight because of the same instances where Canelo's resume is too good compared to the latter but an upset happened and Bivol proved as well that he's not that easy to overcome.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2023, 04:08:24 PM

After that loss Stephen Fulton's ego was so much high that he is not really doesn't accept that he lost the fight or pretty much he is just upset with the result he surely added that the punches of Naoya Inoue were not the ones that KO'ed him but his poor performance inside the ring, but surely after the fight, this is what Fulton's 1st interview, there is not much but surely enjoy it,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QNnBIwpAks

It is funny how Fulton reacted.  He said he has an off night and it is his own poor performance that get him KO'ed but it is very clear that he was outclassed by Inoue.  Fulton should give the credit when it is due.  Inoue just stops him from being him and there is nothing more to it but sadly Fulton due to his ego doesn't admit that.  We might probably be seeing a rematch between Fulton and Inoue after this possible fight for the undisputed title of the super bantamweight division.

I don't think a rematch will sell more crowds than the first time they fought. I mean It was a one sided victory. Inoue won every round IMO. A fighter can't have an off night if he's in a good condition, Fulton might've just said that because he can't get into his rhythm because Inoue was fast and strong, with good head movements and footwork. Fulton just needs to understand that he's fighting a complete fighter that out classed him in every category.
There are far more interesting fights ahead for Inoue than a rematch against Fulton. I've heard someone is now accusing Inoue for hiding something under his fist to add power to his punches. Well, I guess this is just a challenge for him to fight outside his country. This is going to be interesting and I can't wait for him to fight outside Japan. Maybe he'll also move a couple more weight divisions.

Fulton does not need to make lots of excuses, even if he had an off night but still lost. I think he should accept that if he wants to get back in the game. A rematch may not be fun, as we already know who will likely win, but it could still draw a crowd to see how Inoue will KO Fulton again.

Anyways, there are more interesting fights to discuss. Inoue vs Tapales is already set to happen this year, so we should focus on talking about this upcoming fight.

It will be too much if ever Fulton's camp will chase for a rematch because I don't think that they stand a chance in a rematch, I mean the first encounter already said it all that Inoue was the better boxer and now it's Fulton's time to climb the next division as that was first plan regardless of the result of this fight.

Moreover, I don't think that Inoue or Bob Arum will still entertain Fulton's camp if they will ask for a rematch because after what happened, they don't want to get themselves involved in a boxer who throws a lot of baseless stuffs and for them, there are lots of interesting fights in their horizon now rather than wasting some time with Fulton.
