341  Economy / Economics / Re: How does one know and join the right community after a job loss? on: March 31, 2024, 07:56:28 AM
I don't know what you're getting at but I can see your point of trying to use a hobby of yours if you've got any that you would hone so you can earn from it but I got to tell you though, that's not a good way to have a hobby because you're going to be miserable still, don't just suddenly make that hobby your side hustle, learn to ease into it or you'd risk getting burned out, do it little by little and you would know that the right time has come when you finally can use that hobby to get paid. Talk with people that are in your circle, learn what jobs are open, earn connections so in the case that you'd want to pursue turning that hobby into your way of making money then you'd never have a problem with customers because you'd have the support of your friends that you've got because you've forged connections and networks.
342  Local / Pilipinas / Re:Crypto Taxation on: March 31, 2024, 06:35:38 AM
344  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: March 31, 2024, 03:46:47 AM
Many people are going through gambling addiction but they manage to keep it a secret from their families and loved ones. The only people that know about their gambling activities are their close friends. In the event that you are one of those close friend to a gambling addict, do you think it is right to tell their loved ones with the intention that they will be able to talk to him and help him overcome his addiction? Can the advice of loved ones even help? What is the most effective way of going about gambling addiction.
The reason for why they're secretive about their addiction is because those same family members judge them for what they do instead of just trying to help them and supporting them in the case that they wanted to really change for the better. The most effective way is for a person to have other ways to be distracted other than gambling because most of the time, it's probably like that for them because they don't have a hobby that doesn't cause them money, find other ways to distract yourself could be a helpful thing but most of all, learn how to control yourself when it comes things that you're doing, it's possible to gamble without getting too much into it that you become addicted, becoming disciplined is actually the best thing that you can do when you don't want to be addicted to gambling.

Regarding the questions about helping your loved ones overcome your addiction, I think that will help a lot, having someone to talk to and helping your overcome that addiction is a really big help to that person because it helps you release and vent the frustrations and anger that so you're keeping inside you which leads to a catharsis that can help in your recovery especially if you're a gambling addict, having someone that you can talk while you're in a rehabilitation process is actually the biggest thing because you know that you've got someone that believes in you and that you'd be able to recover from that addiction and at the back of your mind, you don't want to disappoint that person.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing poker online better than offline? on: March 31, 2024, 02:37:18 AM
Just don't react to it, best thing to do is to play poker and learn how to control your emotions, you can hide your anger when something makes you angry right? Use that method to hide what you're feeling in that hand that you've been dealt with, it's not easy but it takes practice, you can also do a more advance thing but since you're an emotional person, you can probably do it much better, using that emotion to bluff and deceive your opponents, be boisterous and loud that it annoys the players which can most of the time throw them off their game if you've done a good job being a crazy guy on the poker table, you can watch how Daniel Negreanu play in high stakes table, dude really pisses off good poker players with his antics and his crazy predictions, some even give up their poker face when he hits the right cards of his opponents. I think that offline is a more socially energizing way to play poker than an online one, I think there's no debate in here, if you can talk while playing poker, that's the much better thing to do.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 31, 2024, 01:49:48 AM
I'm a fan of Bruno Mars but I never knew he had gambling issues, not to talk of owing a gambling debt to the tune of $50 million dollars. Wow... What happened to all the money he got from his record sales and endorsement deals? Aside the debt, I want to believe it has also affected his music career because it's been long I heard a banger from him. Gambling is indeed not respecter of any man and it can bring you down from affluence to penury if you lack the ability to keep your gambling habit in check.
That kind of addiction doesn't really do good for the press so they try to cover it up so as not to tarnish the reputation of that celebrity, sure there are some that are open about their addiction but there's some that don't survive that and still be famous after admitting to that addiction. I think it did affect his music career, that's a good indication that something is a problem with him, not releasing anything that's worth listening too is kind of weird for someone like him, it's a sad thing really that they've got this kind of debt, 50 mil on debt in Vegas isn't something to scoff at unless you're a billionaire that don't mind losing that much money but other than that, it's a really alarming thing, either he has to go to therapy and rehab to cure that addiction or do some more music to pay those debts but still continue gambling or maybe we're too invested in their lives that we don't know the whole story and that 50 mil debt isn't something for Bruno Mars to worry about since he's probably got those royalty cheques.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Solana on: March 30, 2024, 09:20:27 AM
Ethereum is still so high for you to buy right now all in so I suggest that you go with Solana, as much as I like Ethereum, you're probably going to make more profit with Solana, only problem is that the growth of Solana isn't that much compared to Ethereum, would you be willing to split those money to invest in both? That way you'd be fine if things go bad for Solana or Ethereum, the only risk here is if they both go down, would you be able to stand strong and never panic sell? Because when people see their investments go down, they will almost always panic and sell because they have this notion that it's going to never go up again.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cutting my gambling costs to Invest some of it on the Alt and Meme Coins. on: March 30, 2024, 08:34:19 AM
There's a thing called DCA where you can buy small amounts of bitcoin in a consistent manner, as @DeathAngel has said, you don't have to buy bitcoin all in one. Your plan to buy altcoins and meme coins is a good one too, if you really don't want to buy bitcoin that is, anything to help curb your funds for gambling, probably the only way that you will be able to help yourself too and I do hope that if you ever profit in your risky endeavor of investing in alts and memecoins, youd don't put those profit to fund your gambling habit even more.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Solana is 20x up but Ethereum is dying, yet for years ppl shill Eth why? on: March 30, 2024, 07:57:55 AM
Are you like new to crypto market and investing? What happens to Ethereum isn't a permanent thing, especially with all the price dumps that it's experience, it's always going to get back up no matter what happens and Ethereum is an established if not considered a blue chip cryptocurrency, that's why a lot of people are shilling for it, I don't even think that they're not really shilling, I haven't seen someone in X or any social media platform trying to sell us Ethereum as the next best crypto after bitcoin, there's also the fact that Ethereum has a really good network and it's being used by a lot of other crypto, P2E, and NFT games so I don't get the hate you've got against Ethereum, if you don't like it don't buy it, Solana is good too but no need to put down other crypto to make a statement.
350  Local / Pilipinas / Re: TUTORIAL PARA MAACCESS PARIN SI BINANCE KAHIT WALANG VPN NA GINAGAMIT on: March 30, 2024, 07:27:31 AM

351  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tuloy Ang pag Ban Ng Binance Sa Pinas At Posibleng Dahilan. on: March 30, 2024, 06:40:52 AM
352  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Ripple Co-founder nahack on: March 30, 2024, 05:54:21 AM
~
353  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: OFAC has imposed sanctions against Russian blockchain service operators on: March 30, 2024, 04:19:57 AM
~
The Russian government uses rubles, and I am 99.9999% sure that these exchangers are in no way connected with the Russian government, because these are not the largest or most famous exchangers.
Despite all the sanctions, Russian gas reaches Europe through the territory of Ukraine. Do you need proofs of this or will you find it yourself?
Even if they have rubles, that doesn't mean that they don't have any use for USD, I'm sure that other countries would be willing to get those USD from them in exchange for goods and services, remember that there's countries that haven't complied with the sanctions against Russia and they will only accept USD to give the Russians what they want in terms of export and import, Russia is still doing international trades so it's not that difficult to believe that they're using those USD from these exchanges for the purpose of keeping an economy on the international market.
354  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS FORM 1040 "Digital Assets on: March 30, 2024, 03:32:17 AM
So far, they haven't asked for addresses yet, but if they ever do, I'll have fun with vanitygen Cheesy
Don't give them ideas, who knows who will see this post and they work for the government, but if that comes to that point, vanitygen might be the answer. Thankfully, the government in my country is all bark no bite when it comes to cryptocurrency taxation, never been pestered or messed by the BIR (IRS equivalent in my country) and I've even got friends that have been putting a lot of money in the bank and then quickly getting it out and so far, they're not even raised any suspicions despite being banned or having that bank account suspended. I hope that this will be the case for us in a long time, I don't want to pay my taxes when the money gets pocketed by the corrupt politicians.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Buy and Hold 👑 on: March 30, 2024, 02:58:13 AM
Was it trading that gave you that huge profit with $100,then you must be a genius. I don't understand how you got such profit, because you said that you were trading and hodling at the same time. That is wonderful to se how much profit your strategy gave you.

I prefer hodling than trading, because I am not a good trader, so I don't want to gamble with my bitcoin. However, every investor that took the opportunity to invest last year was would be in profit by now because the price of bitcoin have really surged high. If you continue hodli till next year you will make more profits compared to what your bitcoin have generated now. But if you continue trading, you might  lose all your funds.
Yeah, it's really an impressive thing to do not to mention that OP's only trading for 5 months meaning that OP's able to make the most out of the stuff that he's done in that time span. I wouldn't say that OP's a genius though, maybe brilliant or smart because it's going to be more money if OP's a genius but with the rate that OP's doing with trading, I think that he's going to be getting more profit in the long-term. I'm the same as you when it comes to trading, I feel like it's a bit of a hassle for my daily schedule to do trading and so I always do what's most better for me and it seems that hodling and DCA works for me the best, less risk and with just a little patience, I'm able to reap huge profits.
356  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: swindled by bitamp of my funds on: March 30, 2024, 02:18:11 AM
I think this would work really well and would get the right attention if you move this post in Scam Accusations, also get the screenshots and make sure that you get all the necessary screenshots too, not just any screenshots. Use Talkimg.com to upload your screenshots and paste the code here to the forum. To move this topic, click or tap the Move Topic at the bottom left of your phone and you're good to go. If you can also do it, file a police report or any report to the authorities that might be able to help you in this problem, this should be something that needs to be dealt with the help of the law.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is all this memecoin hype about? on: March 29, 2024, 02:46:27 PM
The thing that you'll only need to know about this memecoin hype is that there's a lot of people that see this and think for themselves and just invest in it because they find it funny to do stupid stuff and it just so happens that there's a lot of people that have the same mindset of buying those non-utility, do it for the lulz token and it coincidentally led from one thing to another, and that's how the craze for meme coin started, people see something funny at first but now they want to replicate the success of other successful meme coin and so they end up flooding the market with more of this meme coin and the hype and mania for it ensues.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steelwallets and Airport Security - Potential Exposure Concerns on: March 29, 2024, 01:34:42 PM
You can probably hide them using some kind of rubber to cover the metal that's got your seed phrase engraved into, that way, it just looks like a piece of metal. X-rays don't affect them I think, if you're worried that they might see through the inscriptions, you're safe because the only way that they'll see that seed phrase is if they use an amount of radiation on their X-ray that's enough to lethally dose you with radiation including the people around the machine. If you're really worried, you can probably ditch it for a much convenient to you like a piece of paper, that way you can wear that piece of paper somewhere within your person and not worry about X-rays since you're going through a metal detector.
359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin staking on: March 29, 2024, 10:37:26 AM
Binance's the only one that I know that does this since they're the only one that I use but I don't think that it's called staking, you have to have a lot of bitcoins to make a good sum daily when you do that though, otherwise, you'd just be getting dust and all that, not worth your time and bitcoin being risked over an exchange. Careful about services that would offer you this, they can easily run away with your bitcoins if you surrender that thing to them. Just find other side hustles or extra job if you want to increase the bitcoin that you're hodling, less riskier than staking your bitcoins to some service out there that can get away from stealing your bitcoin and you'd never know it quickly too.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of HODLing BTC on: March 29, 2024, 09:41:13 AM
HODLing Bitcoin means that a person bought Bitcoin for the purpose of investment, kept it for several years and then decided to sell it with the intention of investing, but it is rare to find a person since 2010 who bought Bitcoin with the intention of investing, or the price will rise after several years.
a lucky person who tried Bitcoin mining in 2010 and now has several million dollars.
It's a really crazy thing to do if you ask especially during the early days that this person is buying or mining and hodling bitcoin because most of the time during those times, miners quickly sell what they've got, that man's faith to bitcoin is one of a kind of faith because they were able to hold on to it for this long and their faith was rewarded, this is definitely a testament to what you can do if you just trusted the process and you continue hodling your bitcoin and not minding the current climate of the market, just hodl until you've reached your goal and you'd be rewarded with huge profits.
