381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 11, 2023, 08:56:14 AM

Dont show your kids such cartoon as Tom&Jerry, as they will turn into maniacs. Before saying that every child that watches adult gamble will become addicted, could you give any proof that this might really happen? Also never show your kids an Internet, because it is full of bad things in it. Ban TV, as eventually the kid will come across an episode of violence. Also dont allow him to read, because among good books, there are books about war, horror, or just dont let him read, as he will spoil his vision.

Tom and Jerry is a kid's show. It showcases some lessons despite being a little silly for adult view. Although for me it's not really one of the best shows you could offer to your child because we have numerous child shows that are educational and fun altogether nowadays. If you have an option, better to expose them to trivial, educational, creative, and entertaining shows. Regarding TV, you can supervise what your child will watch. There are different genres and level of audience guide for every show, so it doesn't necessarily mean that when a child frequently watches tv, it can bring bad habit.

Additionally, you can supervise the usage of gadget and the sites your child will go to. As a parent, it is your responsibility to make sure your child's welfare is prioritized over anything else. One way to do it is to filter what you feed their mind. Explain them the advantages and disadvantages of something once they know already how to process things. Perhaps you can start to educate them about gambling and its pros and cons when they hit the puberty stage. That way, they won't be ignorant and naive about it, and they won't be pressured by their peers to try it impulsively.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: October 10, 2023, 02:36:20 PM

Cheating techniques are changing day by day casino cheating refers to player or house activities that are prohibited by regional gambling regulatory authorities. This may involve chip fraud or game misrepresentation interfering with equipment using suspect equipment cheating at an online casino gambling is practically impossible but theoretically possible. In other words online slots cannot be hacked due to built in security systems and algorithms cheating in an online game is very difficult the games can always detect when you do it.

There's really no such thing as a general cheat that could work at any casino on anytime of the day. Indeed, cheats are changing because after all, these can be detected by the system whether it is online or physical casino. Casinos have maintenance and repair that are conducted regularly so that they can monitor and ensure that their machines and their codes are still working smoothly. Developers have to check their algorithm and codes every once in a while to know if there are bugs or glitches that might be exploited by the players. While there are some instances that casinos experience a little trouble over their codes and machines, they instantly pick it up and repairs them for the betterment of their business and quality offered to gamblers.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: October 10, 2023, 01:36:35 PM

They think like that because they will get a lot of money if they win. But that is not the case because in gambling, they will not always be able to win and it will depend on their luck. A problem player may need to take a break to discover that he is having a problem and has to fix the problem. But he wouldn't see that because he thought he was still fine. And if he is at his lowest point, maybe he will try to get up but if he stays in gambling, he will fall again and even deeper. It could be one problem after another as he loses more.

But suppose the player is a student who doesn't have an income and still needs or asks for money from his parents. In that case, he will only experience difficulty after difficulty in continuing his studies. When he loses, his money for school can run out with nothing left for gambling. Moreover, a student can be vulnerable to gambling addiction because we have seen many cases experienced by these students.

This is why it isn't really advisable and recommended for young people to gamble. Gamble is a risky hobby and side job if you will try to make it as one. It can be money draining as it can be a money generating source depending on your skills, luck, and strategy. So you should really think twice on whether to enter gambling industry or not if you still aren't in it because it has its pros and cons to be weighed upon. For instance, if you are still a student that is dependent in terms of financial aspect, it could leave you out of money, meaning no allowance at all. And it can be the cause of depression once things can no longer be controlled by proper mindset.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: October 10, 2023, 11:21:43 AM
Gambling isn't the solution to poverty it will possibly drown you deep into more poverty.
It is not only people who are trying to beat poverty that gamble, many rich people still gamble but show these character of violence, aggression and anger. So it cannot just be gambling alone, but can also be linked with financial insecurity. Some people easily get angry, violent or aggressive near the point where they do not have enough money for expenditures. This is why people who gamble and loose money start feeling insecure financially because they are loosing money, so they become easily angry, violent or aggressive.

Gambling isn't the sole reason why people become aggressive, anxious, and depressed. Sometimes it manifests because they have tons of problems to begin with, such as having financial difficulty and despite that, they still gamble anyways because they feel that gamble can be some sort of diversion of attention, without noticing it's also starting to consume them. It even becomes the main problem to some because addiction slowly creeps in the moment the person disregards practicing responsible and moderate gambling routine. But we can't really judge them can we?

It's best to criticize and be a concern citizen once in a while. Although just make sure to not meddle on someone else's business. There's still a fine line between being concerned and just being plain rude who loves to pry.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sustainable Approach For Your Earnings in Gambling on: October 10, 2023, 10:24:22 AM
This is more inclined to managing winnings and I guess this will really work out if you will have a winning streak and if you will bet a huge sum of money because that way, you'll really earn big time. Although if you experience a losing streak and leaves you having no balance or fund at all, you will be back at zero having to deposit an amount that could last you probably around several bets and plays that will satisfy you without breaking the bank.

But to be fair, that's the point. You win some, you enjoy some, and then you save some for the future or use it for something that is important and could add value to your life.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 09:43:39 AM
Yes, I've heard of this before. It's not really a bad thing , it's just that it isn't widely practiced due to its risks, especially that money and relationship are involved. It's hard to enter this kind of set up though given the risk, I would rather not. This is because you will put your money and friendship at stake because you trust the person to begin with. But what if they fucked up? All you will get is an apology, you're even lucky if you will receive such and not be ghosted afterwards.

So if you plan to do this, do not ever forget to have an agreement that's been notarized by an attorney as your evidence. That way, you can be assured that if things go south, you can still get your money back. It's hard to trust with verbal conversations only as proof afterall. Life is hard, so you must do your best to protect your assets and to keep connections. Just also pray that your friend is really skilled and lucky enough, because the earnings will still depend on what he will encounter for the day. Ask a clean breakdown as well so you'll know you aren't being cheated on.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: October 07, 2023, 02:40:03 PM

Yes, social interactions matter to us. There's also evidence that solitude can cause addictions, especially gambling. When lonely, people turn to fast gratification, like gambling. It's a quick getaway, right?

Like you said, relationships aren't simply about statistics. Quality of relationships matters. We need caring folks who can say, "Hey, something's off. You okay? " Ironic that sometimes being closer makes it harder to discuss the elephant in the room? Why are we afraid to communicate our worries for fear of hurting them? Doesn't quiet hurt more in such cases? No single solution exists for this complex subject. But openness, understanding, and support may change everything

I agree with this.

Sometimes it's hard to address things with your loged ones compared to sharing it and laying all your concerns to a stranger. Perhaps there's a side of us that do not want to be judged or if ever we will be, it will not come from those who matter to us, so it'll hurt less or not at all.

A caring and supportive relationship can help a lot in solving most problems including gambling addiction. If one is facing challenges that's hard to overcome, it will be a relief if someone will check up on him and ask what's wrong in a genuine matter because of care and concern, not out of pity or because of meddling. After all, it's really hard to undergo all through the hardships alone. Turning into vices will just create more problems rather being solved.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 07, 2023, 01:49:05 PM
Calculated risk doesn't work every single time, especially if you don't excel at math, or you messed up analyzing the chart and confidently entered a trade hoping for a bigger profit that ended up liquidated that made you frustrated, depressed, angry, and lost in your madness while chasing your losses forgetting the golden rule, always calculate the risk.
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 07, 2023, 01:02:07 PM
I believe that courses that offers you to learn trading only teaches you stuff that you need as basics, and to understand the risk and what trading really is, not how to make profits and other things that could help you to make a quick leap to your trading career.

Experience is needed to make profits in trading, so rushing things up won't do any good. You need to do some trial and error to sort things out about what you have learned in the course you took for you to figure out what you need in your trading career.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: October 07, 2023, 12:21:30 PM

This is why I only gamble when I have some actual real time, not like just squeeze it in 15 minute breaks, that doesn't really make me feel better, I gamble when I have at least a few hours to gamble, doesn't mean I have to gamble for few hours, I do not have to gamble for that long, but it has to be few hours empty time in my hands, then I can gamble all of it or just 30 minutes doesn't matter.

What this allows me to do is the fact that I am not going to end up with anything that hurts my chances and I think it also allows me to take my time for real to think about what I am doing. If I feel like I am about to make a mistake, I can stop, if I calculate that it is a risk worth taking then I can do that. This is something you can do only if you have the time for it, otherwise it would not be possible to make this calculation.

This is a good thinking and practice on your end so that you won't end up chasing winnings and instead calculate your actions first before making any further decisions. Allocating a specific amount of time to gambling, not in an excessive manner can help you to build your routine and can be your way to assess your playing style and your gameplay in general so you can do better on to the other bets and plays. After all, having a very small timeframe will just make you crave for more, so might as well dedicate a few hours already so you won't have the strong urges to break your limitations.
391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 07, 2023, 11:20:56 AM
Anyone that is gambling and is hiding their gambling habit is really not proud of what they are doing although I don’t blame most of the people who are getting involved in such activities because their are lot of people who are just there and can’t really stand out to defend their own decision they so much care about what people will think of them and what people will also say which makes them to hide their passion from the eyes of the general public.

Sometimes too one of the reason why most people hide their gambling habit is as a result of them not wanting people to think that that’s where they spend all their money or in a situation where the person is not doing financially well, people might think that gambling is the reason why they can’t survive or save out something out of their income and for them to save their self those explanations they just have to hide it from them and their gambling under ground.

It's not really necessary to make to the world known that you are gambling. Sometimes it's much better to only let a few trusted ones to know your gambling habits so that only the selected ones that has direct involvement of your life will make criticisms to your routine without being so harsh to you nor being so at ease with your ways. Because sometimes, there are people who just want to meddle with your business and not really help you out. They judge not out of concern, rather to insult or to control you. So still, be careful who you trust and who you share with.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in Bitcoin and never invest in shitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 12:57:23 PM
Bitcoin investment is much less riskier than investing in a random altcoin that a newbie can afford, that's why it is recommended while exploring cryptocurrency.

I get it that you're bitter since yours didn't work out, and your concern about newbies who wanted to invest in cryptocurrency. But, if someone wants to risk their money in shitcoins, let them be, their money their choice. Not because yours didn't work out means it is also going to happen to everybody who will try investing their funds in shitcoins.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier. on: October 06, 2023, 11:29:19 AM
Regretting that one thing in your life forever will never bring you anything good. Move on, and start to correct your mistakes, because if you will keep living in the past, you'll never grow in the present and future version of yourself.

Investing right now is a good idea to end your suffering from your past mistake, just don't compare the profit you're gonna make to your friend because early adaptors of bitcoin do really have big profits if they are selling their holdings every time a new all time high price appear.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my plan. on: October 06, 2023, 05:26:06 AM
Sounds good, I'm also using electrum for years now and I've never experienced anything horrible about it.

To make your transaction cheaper, why not save for like 3 months first so it will be $150 worth of Bitcoin it you would convert it to save fees, but it's up to you though. I mean, $50 is already a big amount rather than hesitating to make an investment and missed a lot of opportunities when Bitcoin went bullish again. Just make sure you'll save your private key somewhere safe.
395  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are becoming a billionaire in 2025,buying a large ship should not be goal on: October 05, 2023, 02:28:35 PM
I didn't know that most of the government are eradicating poverty, they are not even trying, believe me.

And, you don't have the rights to tell anyone not to buy whatever they wanted to buy because of shouldering the government's responsibility to give jobs to the unemployed poor people, free houses, etc. I don't also think not buying a large ship will help poor people from poverty. To solve poverty, we should stop electing corrupt politicians, stop vote buying, because we're the one who are going to suffer in the long run because of it.
396  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: October 05, 2023, 01:33:21 PM
These advices are only applicable to those who have the privilege to do these things you've mentioned.

The people who doesn't have any stable job, or a job that pays well can't do these things you've said, because they are always providing food in the table using their whole salary per day, nothing left for savings, bills, sometimes even for their children education. The right thing to say is how the government and us should help each other to face the recession just in case, because not all of us can face the recession alone.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 05, 2023, 12:16:54 PM
It depends, since there are some women who are the provider and some men are househusband, and vice versa.

Of course whoever the provider is, his/her responsibility is to provide whatever his/her family needs and the one who should budget and save money is the one who is at home or whoever has the free time to do such thing, or whoever that's good at it. There's no gender obligations since both parties should cooperate to make things work out as partners in a relationship.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: October 05, 2023, 03:48:34 AM
Most of the well earners that are still enjoying their adulthood don't still prioritize investment because they prefer to clubbing, drinking with friends, partying, and other easy go lucky activities, because they are thinking that they only live once, and they can afford it, they can earn it again.

They don't care about their future, the backfire of their activities that don't secure themselves in the future, no savings, no emergency funds, just flexing their salary through social medias and by treating their friends every single time.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: October 04, 2023, 02:14:37 PM
Addiction is tough, really tough. All types of addiction have the potential to ruin lives. There is help available but sometimes people have to hit rock bottom before they really feel the urge to change.

I wouldn’t wish any type of addiction on anybody. You can break the cycle though, you just have to really want to.

Indeed. Anyone can prevent, avoid, and recover from addiction. You just have to be willing and determined to do so. Because without those, you can't survive the gambling industry. Gambling can bring so many benefits if you'll use it to your advantage, but if you are irresponsible and isn't disciplined to make it work for your goodness' sake, then it's on you. Since anything done excessively can ruin you, just do it moderately.

Be reminded that prevention is always better than cure. But it isn't impossible to cure and treat addiction. Only that, it will take more time when you already developed it compared to preventing it from happening to you. It will be costly too. So I guess just choose your hard.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 04, 2023, 12:52:58 PM
Another thing is that children learn from what they see when they are young. His first teachers are his parents children will learn the same when they see their parents gambling. Due to the influence of parents the children of the family are rarely human and become addicted like gambling. This is why gambling should not be done in front of them. Children are the future of our country and nation so give them time to stay away from addictions like gambling become a good person.

Right now you have called all those who gamble as bad people Cheesy Please explain why they or gambling are bad. Btw, you see I have a gambling casino in my signature. Does it makes me double bad, as not only I advertise gambling, but gamble myself. Also, why do you think that person who gamble, with 100% probability becomes addicted? Why cant we gamble for fun? Somehow I think you are narrow minded about kids and gambling.

I think he just used a wrong word and phrased his thoughts too vague, but means no harm to the gambling community. It's true that gambling has its negative effects to people, there should be no denying in that. It can cause addiction and several effects to one's mental health and financial capacity. Hence, it's really risky to involve kids that know nothing yet when it comes to gambling. It's still much better to keep them out of it until their brain can fully understand how it works, together with its pros and cons, so that they could think and act in their own without being swayed or pressured by the society or their peers, or even be lost on the process.

Gamblers and bettors aren't bad people. You can't really distinguish someone's attitude based on the things they do. Sure, you can make your guess, but you can't really say that they are like that for sure. It will just be your impression of them and there's nothing wrong with that. But don't impose it to others as well and don't go telling that around cause you might find trouble. Gambling can be done for fun and for profit depending on what you prefer.
