3881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: January 19, 2017, 10:15:32 AM
The government will never have a power to tax a bitcoin transactions because It was a decentralized system it have a Transaction fee but it's too low that you cant even feel it , those fees will go to the miner who process your transactions

It is true that government does not have means to tax bitcoin currently but not that "NEVER" as government have the power to do anything if they so wish and nobody can stop them. It will only take some legislation or even the hire of expert to find a way around the system so that they can find away to those earning money from that source and if that cannot be achievable coupled with the number of citizens going into bitcoin thereby reducing the amount going into government coffers then I see them tagging such "TAX EVASION" which in most climes of society is illegal and comes with its own punishment under the law. Going further from there the onus is now on government to curb that which will result into nothing other than banning bitcoin  or any other crypto all together.
3882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 19, 2017, 07:41:02 AM
Its actually cool to read quite a lot of positive comments about this project even on the main thread here as well as other threads in conjunction with social media platforms and I equally glad to be part of it and wish it a success. However, I will so much appreciate if this can be kept up through out the Pre-ICO, ICO or Post ICO with transparency of the highest calibre and we can be sure this another best project yet to happen.
3883  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: January 19, 2017, 05:45:27 AM
Everybody here to the best of my knowledge knows the advantages embedded in owning a bitcoin and would do everything to buy one so far they can afford it. And even at this time, me personally dont need any reason or reasons to be cajoled in other to buy bitcoin. Ever since my foray into this cryptoworld world I have discovered even thought with an amount of risk that every time is the best time to buy bitcoin. I agree that sometimes it might mean bad investment but that's only in the short time and in the long run, it will definitely pay off.
3884  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Just 8 men own same wealth as half the world on: January 18, 2017, 08:21:00 PM
If that is true then I dont have problem with that so far they made their money and they are not stooping anyone from making his own. If you are not comfortable with their wealth go make your own. Rich people to me didn't get rich by default its a calculated attempt to become rich and stay as such... Although I will agree that government will play enough role to make them richer than majority of us but still same I still believe they are richer than that because a lot of people in the other category, they are the source of their wealth if they are billionaires, I am sure they would have created thousands of millionaires and gradually the gap will reduce the more and finally, if they decide not to be rich, I am sure someone else is ready to take their place immediately.
3885  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S.A a nation of evil on: January 18, 2017, 07:41:06 PM
There is no way one can be good in all ramifications even the Pope cannot be seen by all eyes as an upright person not to talk of a whole country like USA in which even for sneezing alone, a lot of interpretations have been given that the country does not even have in mind. Even though I am not going to absolve US from some atrocities as we have read ( maybe it could be mean conspiracy theories} at the same time they cannot be absolved as the last hope democracy and have been the home of various fighters of liberty where their safety cannot be guaranteed back home.

This their mission of self determination of their leaders by citizens of developing country alone for me to see them as not a nation of evil.
3886  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why God exists in all people mind? on: January 18, 2017, 07:33:20 PM
Who create God? Why there is always a confusion, misunderstanding and debates on the topic of God? Why do people want God? Isn't we are the one to make everything possible? We don't have to give our faith and hope to God. Isn't it ? Why God exists in all people mind? Embarrassed

In as much as I won't question and even respect what you believe I also believe that people are entitled to believe in whatever they deem fit and even sometimes decides not to believe anything at all. Its their decision that is even being guaranteed by the constitutions of most countries.

To those who believe in God and knowing your question also know that its OK not to have all the answers as some of the answers to those questions will and can only be answered by Him and no one else.

And that will happen when we get to see Him on the last day. God exist to me because I have the consciousness within me that someone is watching over me.
3887  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: January 18, 2017, 07:28:24 PM
Looking at it from the position of the taxpayer then its stealing from the moral point because for someone who does not work with you, labour in the sun with you now staying some where asking to give him a share of the income, if that is not theft then tell me what it is? On the otherhand, looking it from the position of government means if this citizen wants good roads or school, bridge, payment of salaries among other things, do they expect me to use my money? Then they have to pay for it so its not stealing. Now from what we have now in this world today, Taxation is not theft because it has been legalized.
3888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the classroom, yes or no and why? on: January 17, 2017, 05:31:25 PM
Whether we go for yes or no that it should be held in classroom, one thing I know is that one cannot place something on nothing and that is the fact government will go a long way in making this possible if it will be taught in high school but in the university based on the independence that is being enjoyed in that part, then research will be going on in that area by students and lecturers alike but not to be taught in class because to best of my knowledge it wouldnt have been incorporated in the syllabus.

3891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: January 16, 2017, 06:53:38 PM
I will say it actually will depend in the country its being banned for example, if its banned in a country like mine, I wont see any effect its going to have on the price of bitcoin because the population here might not be able to make the impact couple with the fact that the infrastructure to keep it at that is something I dont see us having currently but for a country like USA or China or Russia then I see a crash that we might not recover from because in those countries to my understanding, when its banned then it will remain banned especially the United States.
3892  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you want to buy online with Bitcoin, bu can't find? on: January 15, 2017, 06:42:33 PM
For me there is practically anything I want to buy that I cannot without bitcoin simply because there is no store in the country accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for their goods so I am left with no option than to just convert into Fiat to get what I want to buy couple with the fact that buying it from abroad will even increase the cost when the amount of shipping cost is factored into the total cost.
3893  Economy / Services / Re: Hire me as your Agent in Nigeria (Do you Need anything in Nigeria)? on: January 14, 2017, 10:03:53 PM
Can you buy an iphone7 and ship it to me. How much is the price in Nigeria?

I am sure you are joking, because if you are of the opinion that you will get that cheaper in Nigeria then you must be from the extreme Third world country but if you are serious I am sure @op will be willing to help you out since you are the client here, you can clearly dictate the terms of the service you want. Just be ready to his terms and pay accordingly then you get your iPhone in due time.
3894  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it real? (Need opinion) on: January 14, 2017, 12:06:23 AM
Hello. How you think is it real? I got this mail in my mailbox, is it fake or not? Because it is not my bitcoin address. message is from the Blockchain info . There is a screenshot, Thanks

You Dont even need a soothsayer to be convinced that is an absolute scam to get from the little you have. And more so, one unique thing about bitcoin transaction is that it cannot be reversed when sent not to talk of having a pending delivery status. I want to believe you didn't fall for such childish scam because if you do then your coins has gone for eternity.
3895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: January 13, 2017, 09:35:10 PM
Is it worth spending time to collect Bitcoin rather than having a daily job? What I mean is that can bitcoin be more economical? Has it ever happened that people lose their investment value rather than benefit from spending it on bitcoin?

I will say it worths it only if you will earn more from it more than you will earn doing day jobs by engaging in activities such as trading or even making reasonable posts and earning decent bitcoin on a weekly basis but this will only be possible if you have higher rank but I won't advise if you dont have any of the skills but relaying on faucets or giveaways, its definitely going to be a foolish move.
3896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness on Local Level on: January 13, 2017, 09:07:41 PM
Over here I have seen something like that and I was surprised to see it so obvious in front of the street because my idea  was that bitcoin awareness is still and such business might want to attract people so might think its illegal. It was doing fine but I am not sure they will be conducting seminars because to the nest of my knowledge they will be more about buying and selling of bitcoin for profit.
3897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: January 13, 2017, 03:39:21 PM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

There is no way this set of people can be removed from using btc. They are human beings and citizens as well in which case, they also need money for their businesses so if an avenue is created for them to make that happen, I dont think they will be less joyous. The issue of using btc for a particular purpose I will say its more individual than the currency  itself and btc is not in the position to determine who and for what purpose its to be used and also thats what the technology behind it is preaching. FREEDOM.
3898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: January 13, 2017, 12:53:03 PM
When I started some months ago after I had been scammed by all these HYIPs, I immediately withdraw from all from forms of making money online. Then after being involved I thought its going to be that rosy and after a period of time, I just get rich but alas I am still waiting to make the amount of bitcoin to be rich. Hopefully, I will get to achieve that one day.
3899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to create great BTC lending service? on: January 13, 2017, 11:50:56 AM
The best thing is to avoid any form of loan service whatsoever because there is absolutely no way to track debtors and since they all know thats a weakness on the part of bitcoin, then the exploitation is inevitable. I will say maybe bitcoin is not yet ripe to engage in that kind of service but I believe in due time when countries have legalized bitcoin where I can receive my salary in bitcoin, then I use use that as a collateral where my salary will be paid into my creditors wallet. Until then, every moves will be frustrated.
3900  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: January 12, 2017, 08:16:40 PM
I will say gambling is more risky but with the attachment of skill based gambling then I have no choice to say they both possesses the same level of risk of winning and losing since trading itself involves some element of skill to make a gain although that is actually not a determining factor as there are other factors that could mitigate against the set goals already established as a result of the skills acquired.
