421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updates from the COPA v Craig Wright trial on: March 08, 2024, 07:35:50 PM
Craig was back on the stand on Friday and had to answer to the newly presented forged email evidence that he submitted mid-trial (or his wife did). Of course, Craig did what Craig does best and blame someone else but his excuses were even more incredulous this time. He claimed that someone had hacked into his emails and sent the email.
Apparently it was such an easy job  to ''hack'' email of such a ''smart ninja'' programmer like him  Tongue
It's one thing for someone to hack your system, but it's next level crazy for the same hacker to send email from that same account.

It's also much more than merely having his keys compromised. Several times he says he has lost access to his bitcoins and that they've been stolen by hackers, yet the coins never moved.
He is probably the guy with most fantasy hack attacks against him in the whole world, worthy getting him listed in Guinness World Records book.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into Bitcoin as self pension on: March 08, 2024, 07:26:36 PM
Is it wise and realistic for someone in his early twenties to set up Bitcoin as  a retirement plan such that he continues accumulating Bitcoin from this time till he gets to his retirement age?
I think Bitcoin is going to be much better investment than any pension fund in the world, but people need to be patient and expect big changes and price manipulations.
In the same way they are manipulating price of precious metals they are going to try to do with price bitcoin, but in the same time it's going to be hard to buy it.
Pensions are a modern invention experiment and if I may add it is failed project by design.
423  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: NGRAVE hardware wallet? on: March 08, 2024, 07:10:56 PM
Hi new to the forum not to crypto and i was wondering if anyone had experience with NGRAVE Zero?  NOT asking if you particularly have one, just opinions on if its the best hardware wallet.  Heard rumors the Trezors have/can be hack but must be obtained physically? Thanks
No Ngarve is certainly not the best hardware wallet, whatever that means.
It is one of the most expensive hardware wallets, it has closed source code, and it doesn't have many standard options for wallets like coin control.
I would not use this as my primary wallet and I think there are much better and cheaper options available in the market now.

Yah i perordered one long ago and have never took it out of the plastic so its worthless if i dont use it, reviews for people that have actually used them seem to like them besides the app but on the 10+ air gaped wallets i spent hours researching yesterday same thing.
I am sure this is not going to be the first thing in your life that you ordered and didn't use much  Tongue
424  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: 1 Bitcoin 100 milijna USD on: March 08, 2024, 06:47:06 PM
A mislim, tu i tamo si on i ja spomenemo tetku u PM-ovima, but comes from the heart.

425  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 52 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: March 07, 2024, 07:27:41 PM
Thank you... For some reason, I can't find a way to manually enter any discount codes [quite weird], and despite seeing on the cart page that "discounts are calculated at checkout", the following discount link didn't have any impact on the price
I tried the same thing  and it didn't work so I think discount code already expired.  Tongue
Maybe maxirosson will have another discount on thebitcoinhole website.

They released a new blog article from Portal, with a strange subtitle - Why is it so BIG?  Wink
https://twenty-two.xyz/blog/why-you-are-all-wrong/

Updated hardware wallets data on the website, comparing now 55 different Hardware Wallets.
I can't keep up with all the changes in hardware wallet world, but OneKey clearly retired two of their wallets.
All their customers will probably stop receiving updates soon, as most of them probably purchased only 1 year support  Tongue
I don't see much difference with in OneKey Classic 1S wallet, except higher price, different secure element and different battery.
426  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: March 07, 2024, 07:06:01 PM
My Unstoppable wallet "forgot" it's Litecoin data today. It had to restart syncing from 2014. I use Tor and "Slow, Private" Blockchain settings, and it takes hours and several GB of data. It's still running, and uses a lot of power. I had to connect the charger because of the battery consumption (my phone has been warm for hours). I don't know what caused this.
I think they released a new update recently so maybe they fixed the problem you had, but you can't expect to have no issues with any multicoin wallets, more shitcoins just means more issues  Tongue
Have you tried testing Stack wallet or other wallets from this list I created as alternative to Coinomi wallet?
Unlike Unstoppable, Stack wallet has coin control and it also have Tor support, but there are some bugs in desktop version (for me).
427  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Sparrow vs Electrum for desktop on: March 07, 2024, 06:51:08 PM
I've already used both wallets, what I can say is that everything Electrum offers, Sparrow also offers.
This is not exactly true as Electrum wallet has a whole section for Lightning Network and Sparrow wallet have no such thing.
I like Sparrow design more especially with transaction graph, and they can support coinjoin third party wallet integration, while you can't find such thing in Electrum.
Sparrow has better support for hardware wallets and signing devices, so there are pros and cons for both wallets, and they can be both used at the same time.
I think Lightning is going to be more important in future, and Sparrow developers should consider adding it.
428  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum seed words on Trezor Hardware Wallet on: March 07, 2024, 06:17:55 PM
I bought a Trezor hardware wallet..  I read in a previous post I should generate the seed words in Trezor for use in electrum. Trezor only allows me to generate 24 word seeds which may not be future compatible with electrum wallet.
That is not true.
I am 100% sure you can generate 12 word seed in Trezor hardware wallets.
I don't know who suggested such a terrible idea to use hardaware wallet seeds that are offline and then to import them into electrum wallet, you should never do that!

Am I correct in thinking that Trezor wallet will be fully future compatible with electrum wallet if I create the 12 word seed and passphrase in electrum wallet and  use it in Trezor.  I would do this air gapped.
Don't do that.
If you want to use Electrum use their native format, not bip39, but DUY ''I-Know-Better'' air-gapped setup is usually best way to lose your coins forever  Tongue
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Mar 2024] Fees are lower, wait for opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs on: March 07, 2024, 04:59:58 PM
Watching Mempool.space's Mempool Goggles is mesmerizing
Goggles are really cool and I really like Mempool.space website for checking bitcoin fees, they are accurate with predictions most of the times.
I don't know if you noticed goggles button with many filters, you can only pick coinjoins, taproot, consolidation, etc.

Recently there was a new alternative tool released called NextBlock Fee Estimator, but it's still basic for now:

430  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mr.Charles Cryptocards on: March 07, 2024, 04:33:38 PM
I don't see any option to pay with Bitcoin, only paypal, sepa and card payments are available on your website  Tongue
This cards you are offering are basically expensive version of old paper wallets, with one card having only one address.

Sorry Mr.Charles but as alternative I can purchase open source Satochip cards right now for €25 , and they can work as hardware wallet with secure element and NFC chip.
For the same price I can also buy Satodime cards that can serve as giftable cold storage solution, or seedkeeper cards for managing seedphrases and passwords.
I can also pick up really interesting custom designed cards ,and connect them with other crypto wallets to generate many addresses.
431  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0xbc1.io - Innovative crypto exchange service on: March 07, 2024, 04:21:03 PM
That giant green button at the bottom that is redirecting to telegram for contact is looking very suspicious and shady.  Tongue
There is nothing showing how this ''exchange'' works, so I can only speculate it has something to do with telegram and bots.
I would be very careful with this nothingburger.
432  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [V2] Big List of Crypto Debit Cards on: March 07, 2024, 04:10:06 PM
SafePal made a partnership with Fiat24 and is now offering virtual cards[1]. As you would expect from anything coming from Binance, the card requires KYC and it will be available to Europeans only at first.
They are advertising this service as ''bank'' on Safepal website, and you can only apply and use the card with safepal app Roll Eyes
In general I would never connect hardware wallet with fiat payment cards, that would probably make all coins in wallet connected with personal identity and real life addresses.
Another strange decision is to support only USDC stablecoin, and I am not sure they have the lowest fees like they claim.

433  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: March 07, 2024, 11:38:09 AM
I started using it recently, for other forums
You should not use Talkimg service for posting images on other forums, or they could be removed and deleted, this was stated by joker_josue.
Talkimag should be used only for uploading images on bitcointalk forum.
Swap nudi 2 opcije - TopUp BTC i Withdraw to BTC account. Nijedna ne radi - This transaction is not supported.

Svi ti novčanici koje si probao (a i mnogi drugi) koriste third party exchange partnere, i mogu ti lako blokirati coine bez objašnjenja, bolje budi oprezan s tim.

436  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seed Backup Solutions, compared feature by feature on: March 06, 2024, 05:06:55 PM
Multiple improvements to our 30 Seed Backup Solutions comparison.
There are some really affordable backup options listed there, but maybe you can also add a simple stainless steel washers as a cheapest DIY solution, they can work perfectly fine.
All parts can easily be purchased locally for cash, so there won't be any direct connection with bitcoin and your personal information.

I saw many online tutorials, and some forum members even created step by step tutorials a while ago:

437  Economy / Exchanges / Re: JCRYP.TO | NO KYC CRYPTO EXCHANGE on: March 06, 2024, 04:40:06 PM
Is the owner of RyptoBet.com and Jcryp.to exchange the same guy, or there are some other type of connection between this two websites?

Even on main page I can see the same telegram username @Ryptobet_Partners.
I don't know who this partners are, but if it's binance or other centralized exchanges than they can always seize coins at anytime.

438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it possible Cash out Crypto without KYC? on: March 06, 2024, 04:25:57 PM
Does anyone have suggestions for cashing out crypto without going through KYC? It would be ideal if I could transfer the fiat to my bank account or onto a card. Or is there any other way?
Bisq is the best option for desktop computers, PeachBitcoin if you are using mobile and live in EU, or Robosats if you are using Lightning Network for lower transaction fees.

Sending large amount money to your bank could always trigger some warning, so maybe it's better idea to look for p2p cash transaction.
I know some people are using virtual and physical cards for converting bitcoin to fiat, that could be a good and quick alternative for all I mentioned above.
439  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: March 06, 2024, 04:19:23 PM
If there is something that we learn from last year, then any service is linked to a hack and does not cooperate with the authorities or delete user data, then it will be on the government's radar, the easiest accusation that they are running an unlicensed platform and I think that what happened with Fixedfloat is a good reminder.
Fixefloat can't be compared with this exchange and they had a license like so many other centralized exchanges and it didn't help them a bit.
By your logic you can consider any exchange to be a mixer, and that is simply not the case.

Hello there some hours ago I sent ethereum on arbitrum instead of erc20 to your address, i cant send a dm to you, please ive been a long time customer
You can get much faster reply from eXch support by creating support ticket or by email address:

440  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: March 06, 2024, 03:53:26 PM
I got the same email from them yesterday, but the amount I have stuck there is not so big as yours ($1.40 lol).
Minus withdrawal fees you would probably have to pay them for this ''transfer''  Tongue
I don't remember if I closed my old account, but I think I never used it and I didn't receive any email about this.
Did you see how they are allowing withdrawal only of USDT for people who had fiat money left in their account, since they conveniently swapped all USDT to USDT 1:1?
