There are no Japanese as it would be illegal for them to even offer deals there.
I am not supporting breaking a law anywhere, but let's be realistic, at one point it was illegal to own a gold in America, to sell alcohol, to shop in Sunday, to dance to the National Anthem, to vote if you are a woman, etc. Now I researched a bit and I found current weird laws from Japan, but I don't know if this is true, they say it's illegal to make your own beer there, it's illegal to beg for money, and you can't show your thighs in public... It's almost impossible to make p2p trading illegal. PS Give me few days and I will ask my friends from Japan if they know some loophole for cash-->btc in Japan.

But, did you you see the prices for buying with gift cards? 50% and more above the actual price, lol. I can't spend 1500$ to receive 1000$ . You can always create your own offers with more fair price Also, gift card exchange for whatever always smells like a total scam, I think we both know that. I used gift cards several times and I am not indian tech support scammer They are perfectly legal if purchased in local shop, you are not buying them from unknown internet guy. There are services like bitrefill.com and TheBitcoinCompany that made whole profitable businesses with gift cards and crypto combination. Furthermore, all of these people offering this are not located here, so if anything happens, they cannot even be found.
Their location is not so important with gift cards, if you find good offer or make it yourself. Tried to get Bisq. Downloaded and installed, but....
I have no idea what this error is, but maybe you have old Apple computer with old operating system. And don't expect to find offers in JPY there (I checked myself), you would need to create it yourself, but Bisq is great tool to have.

So also a site like bisq doesn’t help me when I only have cash at the moment, no online banking whatsoever. I keep trying to tell you that Bisq is not a website, it's a open source software you download and install, than you have the option to make your own offer to purchase Bitcoin with CASH in person. Anyway, I researched more current Agoradesk/Localcoinswap offers in Japan and I see there is a option to by Bitcoin with gift cards (nintendo card, g00gle play, apple pay, etc.), that means you can purchase them with cash in some local shops in Kyoto/Osaka, and then exchange this gift cards for Bitcoin using p2p websites and Tor/vpn. If I was in your place I would first test this with small numbers to see if everything works fine. Good luck trying to find someone.

Thanks for the infos but according to local law these sites are not allowed to offer btc for cash adds. There are also 0 ATMs in Japan where you can buy crypto as offering this service is illegal. Until around 2018 there were some but when the new law came they were all shut down.
Strange... I didn't know Japan is so strict with this, especially after I used some services from Japan with crypto payments several times without any problems. Note that Bisq is not a website so there is nothing to shutdown, and nobody can ban it.

Looking at the information in your table, I can see that you mentioned that Trezor plans to introduce a secure element during 2022. We are now in mid 2023 and it hasn't yet been released. Maybe you can make a quick update to that line and place a different date or use different wording?
Updated to 2023/24. I am not a fortune teller, and my predictions are based on Trezor posted articles, blogs, and tweets, and I don't know exact release date. When we are on the subject of Trezor's work on the new SE, as someone who follows that closer than me, is there anything new to report on that? Have they released new release dates or reports on their progress?
I didn't see any official news but I think they are working on new device with new secure element, last thing I saw is them receiving new chips from manufacturers.

Due to security and privacy concerns I only want to deal in cash. I can't just send some 4 digit $ amounts to strangers for obvious reasons. These transfers are no reversible and especially paypal, which I stopped using years ago, is a pure scam trap in my eyes.
Paypal is crap but they started playing with crypto a lot. Maybe you could try using decentralized exchanges like Bisq, Robosats or p2p trading sites like Agoradesk, Localcoinswap, etc. and create your cash offer there. This will be more visible than just opening bitcoin topic, but maybe you have some other local options for bitcoin trading in Japan, or with Bitcoin ATM's. PeachBitcoin is another great option but sadly it only works in Europe currently.

I changed the font after all the comments. I liked it, but was the only one I guess haha.
You made some mistake when you changed the font, maybe it has to do something with size, but small text (check link for current price) is overlapping with prices for all hardware wallets. I tried testing and opening website in several different browsers and I got exactly the same results. Check below screenshoot example: Either you move text to different position or change font size to fix this.

It's not a bad idea, we'll have to see if it's workable with our system.
Hey there LocalMonero, one question for you. Is it possible to somehow import account, trading history and/or ratings from other p2p exchanges? Some of this websites stopped working or they introduced more strict mandatory KYC verification.

Mr icopress. Unfortunately, I have to announce that I am moving to another campaign.
Thank you for these wonderful weeks, it was a pleasure to work with you!
Is there two or more icopresses? This reminds me on those old funny clips of Arnold Mad Tv, and Spiderman memes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlxoyw_8I7I

I saw this news few days ago, and it's not only the problem with Libbitcoin Explorer but with all devices with Intel processors. Everyone who is using computers and laptops with Intel processor should consider their devices as not secure anymore, and I wouldn't use them as my main cold storage. Call me conspiracy realists, but I think this flaws were intentionally there from start and they are coming from inside Intel, but AMD is probably doing something similar. Downfall Attacks is affecting billions of modern processors and cloud computers, and this is even more dangerous: https://downfall.page/Anyone keeping sensitive information in cloud at this point is playing russian roulette right now. So you're basically saying that a weak random number generator such as Mersenne Twister was used for generating seed phrase entropy in Cake Wallet and Trust wallet? (!)
I don't think this is a true random generator, but I could be wrong. This is much bigger topic and there is a big difference between pseudo-random and random number generation.

Trocador was being pressured by some of their partners who collaborate with LE and practice shotgun KYC to delist eXch by freezing/suspending operations that include coins coming from eXch, because our BTC don't pass AML checks due to not having a known single aggregation address thus it's impossible to identify them as BTC coming from an exchange without providing a proof that it was made on eXch. Consequently, Trocador has stopped listing eXch in their results. So I guess I was right when I noticed something strange was happening I didn't know anything about this stuff happening behind the scenes, but I am not going to use Trocador anymore if they continue doing stuff like this. There are alternative aggregators I found on kycnot.me like Orangefren, and I am switching over to them instead. We will probably make a poll somewhere asking our users opinion on how their prefer our service to handle BTC and LTC, having 2 options I think that majority of members in bitcointalk forum will choose option 1 with high anonymity level, but I do understand people who are concerned because they are using more centralized exchanges. It's much better to use decentralized exchange like Bisq, but sometimes people trade with others using P2P and other side is often using exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. There may be also a third option if we make 2 separated pools for mixed and aggregated coins and let users select which pool to use for their output, however it's a lot more complicated to implement and maintain. Maybe this compromise would work best for everyone, if you can handle extra complexity.

Having these said, I guess that the owners of Betnomi Ledgers can relax now, as their products are not tampered with.
I am not sure if they can relax knowing that someone like Betnomi probably has their personal information, especially if they know their real name, delivery address and phone number. Not sure what exactly is happening with Betnomi but I already heard several reports from people about some leaked information connected with email address. Anyway, good job with doing this integrity check.

I am in the process of initiating a lawsuit against them, but I am concerned that there might not be real individuals involved, as it appears they are all concealing themselves in Russia.
They are claiming to have some license but I saw similar licenses easily being purchased by scammers in United Kingdom, and I think Canada is still under the ''crown'', so they probably have similar rules. I am not sure if they are located in Russia or some other country, but since they are doing everything virtually they can be anywhere they want. Don't forget to finish creating flag against them, maybe this can help to get some reaction from them.

Would a new factoid such as "Non-KYC bitcoin price is the real price" work without appearing to promote the usage of non-KYC services? Don't take me wrong, I fully endorse and use them, but considering that the forum thrives to be as free as possible[1], I don't know if the factoid would be compatible with the forum's mission...
I don't see any difference between kyc and non-kyc price whenever I trade Bitcoin, and I wouldn't make that separation in forum factoids. There should be one price for Bitcoin but I understand that this can oscillate based on location, country, availability, liquidity, and other factors. On the other hand I think that advertising non-kyc services is a good idea, and I am trying to do the same with my profile signature and avatar.

When you say custom QR code, do you mean customization such as images in middle or colorful QR code? If so, just generate plain QR code. You can't choose the type of QR codes with wallets and services I was talking about, there is no universal qr code standard that is the same for all wallets. Same goes for certain hardware wallets like Safepal that uses closed source for generating qr codes, and this is not compatible with all wallets. I read somewhere there is more than 40 different types of qr codes These are the most popular blockchain-based domains, as far as I know
I think there is something called Stacks that used smart contract on Bitcoin network. Maybe this is the best option for this kind of domains: https://www.stacks.co/

I already have that. Under the firmware section, I have "Source-available", "Open Source" and "Reproducible Builds" rows.
I know about rows, but I was thinking about creating additional top Reproducible filter tab for fast access, like you have for Open Source, Secure Element, Air-Gapped, etc. Ideally it would be great if I could select multiple filters at the same time, and have color changed when I click or unclick them. I hope you understand what I wanted to say, I am a bit tired and I can't explain it better now.

This concept. It is already in motion, and it's called: Purple-eyes.
I never heard about Unisat or Hiro wallets so I can't connect them with your website, and I am not sure if this project is based on bitcoin blockchain or not. After doing some research I found Unisat wallet that works only on chrome based browsers, and I don't feel comfortable using it, even if they say it's open source. What is Hiro (comming soon) ?
