1301  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: September 04, 2023, 05:29:29 PM
Just a quick question what's the advantage of having an account?  Can't I just upload and use it without an account anyway?
Other than what was previously said, I think you can also enable dark theme that is only available for registered accounts, unless something was changed recently.
You can upload images without account and it will fork just fine if you are posting images only on bitcointalk forum.

Mislim da bi najgori ishod ovog scama-ponzi sheme mogla biti puno strožija crypto regulativa uskoro, a ljudi koji nemaju pojma ni o čemu će reći da je Bitcoin scam  Roll Eyes

1303  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: September 04, 2023, 02:19:05 PM
Zaključak, ova zadnja trilogija se fakat isplati pogledat, ako ste kao ja i ne volite gledat filmove sa subtitlovima, ima na Yifiju specijalne subove samo za majmune kada gestikuliraju.
O flimski maraton radi non-stop.

1304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: September 02, 2023, 08:28:33 PM
What the Tornado Cash founders appear to have done wrong is if they wanted to develop opensource software that might be cracked down by the government, they should have done this more anonymously similar to what Satoshi has done when he began developing bitcoin. This is not only good for security, it will also encourage more developers to contribute to the project anonymously.
Developers that work on shitcoins like ethereum usually never care much about privacy, that is strange thing to do especially if you are creating something that improves privacy.
I never hard of any large central bank being accused of money laundering, and this was not invented yesterday, that is why there are constant wars around the world, and everyone knows that.
1305  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 02, 2023, 08:14:07 PM
We'll definitely update the post on another forum since our plans have changed since. We will only support well estabilished and well decentralized networks. Supporting tokens/coins that appear and disappear is not something we would like to do.
Adding new shitcoins is (mostly) waste of time for me.
One more option I would like to see in eXch is introducing option for cash trading, but I know this can be tricky, especially in different regions and countries.

Maybe the forum administration will consider deleting that account to rename this one.
You can message theymos and ask him about this:

1306  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 24hr fully automatic cryptocurrency exchange, NO KYC needed on Bitsar! on: September 02, 2023, 08:05:09 PM
We are happy to know that everything were carried out smoothly! No worries, you don't need to perform KYC to withdraw above $10k. Even if you are not verified, you can still withdraw for up to 5,000,000 USDT daily.
Am I reading this correctly when you say that your daily withdrawal ''limit'' is 5 million USDT?  Shocked
I doubt that any new exchange has that amount of USDT coins available every day, this sounds a bit fishy to me.

1307  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying cash in-person on: September 02, 2023, 07:59:42 PM
Any other leads, anyone?
It all depends on location where you live, but there are several options currently available.

Bisq decentralized exchange is one of the best option that runs on computers, and you can create your own offers or accept them from other people.
Downside is that you have to download and install software, wait to sync, and later deposit bitcoin before you can trade.

Peachbitcoin.com is a good mobile app if you live in Europe, and it has many option for exchanging including cash in person.
It has verifiable source code and it's really easy to use, but like I side before it is not available outside Europe (for now).

AgoraDesk is very similar with localcryptos, so I would check that out, and there is Robosats if you want to trade using Lightning Network.
1308  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: September 02, 2023, 07:48:38 PM
So far, yes. There's $17k remaining.
Is anyone wondering what is going to happen with all that leftover money if we don't hear anything from ww owners in near future? Maybe bonus money for manager and everyone else who participated?  Wink

I can't imagine any scammer with half brain would leave all that money without explanation, it looks like obvious loss for them from every possible angle you look.
1309  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 01, 2023, 05:27:54 PM
you really need to have absolute trust in the VPN provider to do this, but in some countries it's better to have a VPN before Tor, than Tor on its own only I guess. I mean, I can easily imagine some places on earth where some internet or data providers shouldn't know that you are using Tor network
Absolute trust in centralized VPN provider?
- No thank you, absolute trust is (almost) never a good thing.

When contemplating the integration of a VPN alongside Tor, the utmost priority is to select a dependable VPN provider that adheres to rigorous privacy standards. It's vital to ensure that the VPN provider refrains from logging user activities, provides payment options that are difficult to trace, and maintains a strong commitment to user privacy. Opting for payment methods like Bitcoin can contribute to a more secure setup, particularly when using mixed Bitcoins to enhance anonymity and prevent tracking.
However good some VPN providers may appear to be, most of them claim how they never store any logs, but I don't trust them, especially if they are based in some of the 5, 9 or 14 Eyes countries.
In case government seize their servers they will have access to everything that was visited by all users, including original IP address and Tor usage.
We can argue that most VPN providers are junk used to collect user information, with maybe only few exceptions like Mullvad.

1310  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: my DIY Trezor One with bigger screen and USB-C on: September 01, 2023, 04:56:00 PM
This summer, I'm working on my own version of the Trezor One DIY. I've redesigned the board to include a USB-C port and a larger 1.3" screen (although not visible in this photo, the one shown in the photo was taken from an Amazon breakout module and it's 0.95", the same as Trezor One). All the components are situated behind the screen, and I would say the result is a similar size but with a different appearance.
Cool project, but I would love to see someone doing something similar for Trezor Model T, or adding different chips that has larger memory than in Trezor One.
I think microcontroller used in Trezor One is STM32F2 and in Trezor model T it's STM32F4, that is small change but it makes a big difference with RAM and Flash.
Bigger screen and usb type-c supporting is nice to have, but beware that Trezor announced they will stop manufacturing model One soon, that usually means less updates and bug fixes in future.

I've tried compiling the firmware and the bootloader with PRODUCTION=0 and MEMORY_PROTECT=0 just for the sake of having a non-production Trezor, and compiling is easy, but I'm stuck in the process of signing the bootloader and making the firmware accept the bootloader and such.
How did you fix this, and did you talk with Trezor team about your DIY device?
I would like to see refreshed Trezor One device, maybe renamed to something like Trezor 1.1 or Trezor 2  Wink

1311  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What happened to Coinomi? on: September 01, 2023, 04:24:58 PM
Poking about LinkedIn shows that a couple of their key people such as their CTO left the company around the same time as they went silent on all their media channels last year. It seems maybe there are a few customer support agents still working at Coinomi, but they key people responsible for maintenance and development have all left.
It's possible.
I am not following anything related with Coinomi for years, but I remember last time I checked their desktop app it was very buggy, and I couldn't close it properly several times.

Not shilling for one particular company, BUT the Keystone hardware wallet has a decent IMO multicoin companion app for both Android & IOS
Didn't Keystone officially announce recently they are stopping support for their companion app and they are focusing more on supporting all other third party applications?
If this is true than I wouldn't recommend anyone using this app for anything serious.
There is one app from different HW manufacturer, but I am not comfortable enough using and recommending it.

1312  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Mercury Wallet -> Mercury Layer - Privacy for Bitcoin on: September 01, 2023, 04:13:06 PM
Big unexpected changes for me regarding Mercury wallet.
They are going to discontinue support for Mercury wallet services, and there is 3 months period for that, so you better withdraw and convert statecoins if you still have them.
Good news is that development continues as Bitcoin MPC offchain layer 2 protocol, that is Bitcoin MPN offchain layer.
I am waiting to see new release of Mercury Layer, but anyone interested in Bitcoin privacy can find more information on their website:

1313  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: September 01, 2023, 03:15:28 PM
Excellent explanation. After already stealing coins from Bitcointalk users with their two previous mixing sites "Chipmixer" and "Whirlwind.Money", BlackHatCoiner and o_e_l_e_o are being paid up to $6 per post to lure victims from Bitcointalk into their newest "Mixing Site" scam, [banned mixer]
Oh so you have a crystal ball and special powers and you know this website is a scam?!
I thought before that some of the things you said made sense, but with this statement you pretty much ruined your reputation.
I never went on witch hunting campaign against Wasabi wallet, but I also don't support them working with company that supports censorship on blokchain.

You have zero profs for your claims and if you can accuse someone for publicly promoting a ''scam'' that never happened, than I can also say that you are paid by Wasabi&zkSNACKs for promoting and defending them.
Unless you provide some evidence I will have to ignore you for spreading fake news.

If you don't believe me, just look at the past 40 pages of posts on this thread.  You'll see it FILLED with scammers advertising "Mixing Services" trying to trick Wasabi users into giving up their coins and privacy.
Paranoid nonsense BS  Roll Eyes
So now you are accusing everyone with mixer signature for being a scammers, again without single proof for your claims.
You are clearly spreading lies and propaganda for wasabi wallet.
1314  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet RBF Feature on: September 01, 2023, 03:06:31 PM
I have been watching the mempool (https://mempool.space/) often now, but found that instead of decreasing fee, it is always on the rise.
It's not true that fees are always rising, and it's easy to confirm that on mempool.space Graphs page.
There are periods of higher and lower blockchain activity, but everything can change quickly, and fees can be much higher during the bullrun.
1315  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Wallet for Crypto Gaming and Gamers on: August 31, 2023, 10:55:58 PM
There are great wallets out there, but none specialized to crypto gamers. That is why, I am building a new wallet to make crypto gamers' lives easier. It would be helpful if you guys share any pain points about your current wallet.
Do we really need to have special wallets for gamers, musicians, divers, gravediggers, construction workers and all other professions?
I don't think so, and I don't know what is so special about gamers, except they maybe use computers more than other people.
We already have good options for desktop computer like Electrum, Sparrow wallet, and few others for mobile devices.
Bitcoin wallet should be open source, and it's not going to be easy to create new wallet from scratch.

There is another feature some of the crypto gamers are asking is multi-chain support.
You will have to run nodes for all those chains/coins.
Check out Unstoppable.money wallet, that is a good starting point for open source mobile wallets.

This article discusses the ways you can maximize the use of your TOR browser and optimize security & speed.
In your article you are saying that people should use VPN and Tor together to ''amplify'' Tor, and I am not sure this is a good idea for everyone.
That is something that is NOT recommended by some security experts, and this is even confirmed on Tor website:

Quote
Generally speaking, we don't recommend using a VPN with Tor unless you're an advanced user who knows how to configure both in a way that doesn't compromise your privacy.

1317  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PST.NET IS A SCAM!! HOW I LOST $27,000 IN BTC. THREAD BELOW on: August 31, 2023, 10:21:19 PM
How can I create a Flag against them?
Help how?
You have address on their website, but I think you need to hire a good lawyer who understands how cryptocurrency scams work.
Maybe it's also possible to report them to Visa because they are abusing their name and scamming people.
I see they are still active in telegram and continue ''business'' as usual:

1318  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: August 31, 2023, 10:07:52 PM
I think the type 3 Flag can't be Supported in this case. But I also know it's one large deposit away from someone losing their money. It needs a big red warning banner, but (the way I read it) can't get one right now. It's a rare case that doesn't seem to fit the Flag system, and a Newbie warning Flag seems insufficient.
Maybe we need to have new flag type created for cases like this, because there is chance this could repeat again in future.
I am staying neutral in this case, and I speculated earlier that some outside factors (maybe arrest) could affected what happened with ww owners and their website.
This whole case just doesn't look anything like any other scam I seen in my life, and I would like to hear what theymos thinks about this.
1319  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $150/w on: August 31, 2023, 09:32:13 PM
Please share your thoughts.
I am currently not in Sinbad campaign but I really want to see more campaigns introducing different payrate that is not based on number of written posts.
My best experience was with signature campaigns that allow me to write in my usual style and they don't force me to write 50+ posts, or minimum amount of posts.
That probably makes job much easier for manager because they don't have to check every single post, but than you can't accept anyone in campaigns like this.
I think currently Foxpup pays like this for wearing Avatar, and I want to see more campaigns doing this.
In case of abuse or inactivity manager should be allowed to remove participants at any time.

Just my 2 sats Wink
1320  Economy / Services / Re: Cheapest Way to mix the coins on: August 31, 2023, 10:57:25 AM
Confused about which option is best and cost effective?
You can't have the best and cheapest option in the same package.  Roll Eyes
You also didn't say what coins you want to mix exactly since you mentioned XMR coin and different centralized swap exchanges that have nothing to do with mixing.
