1321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face unlock on bitcoin wallet devices on: August 30, 2023, 08:30:05 PM
I do not understand what you are saying. You first said that face unlock can be manipulated in a way someone's photo can be used to unlock the device. Later you said using it with a long password is good. If someone phone is stolen with the long password phone, the person photo can still be used to unlock the device. Which means it is not good to use face unlock.
I am afraid you will never understand it.  Tongue
1322  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Has anyone ever used keepser ? on: August 30, 2023, 06:37:37 PM
If anyone knows, what are your impressions, thanks
I never used Keepser wallet, but I know about it from our hardware wallet tracking topic, so it's not a new product.
Concept of credit card format is cool but there are better and cheaper options available today (Coolwallet, Tangem, etc), and I wouldn't waste my money on keepser.
However, I am always interested in hearing reviews from people who actually used it.

1323  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Can we make multiple bitcoin wallets on hardware wallet ? on: August 30, 2023, 06:25:22 PM
Can we make multiple Bitcoin wallets on a hardware wallet?
For example, if someone has one Trezor wallet, can he make multiple wallets in it with different seed phrases?  Or one hardware wallet will have only one seed phrase.
Short answer is No.
Most popular hardware wallets only support single seed phrase, so you need to reset it and import new phrase and you can't use multiple phrases in same time at the same time.
You can create multiple addresses and accounts, but that is not the same as having multiple seed phrases in one device.

Only two hardware wallets at the moment support multiple seed phrases, that is new Keystone3 Pro wallet, and Cypherock X1 wallet that has interesting new concept with cards.
Make sure to do your own research before buying any hardware wallet, I am not recommending anything myself.

1324  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What happened to Coinomi? on: August 30, 2023, 06:19:10 PM
Cake Wallet exists in Beta for Linux, which leaves Feather Wallet. I'll install this (in a VPN, of course) and recover my private key from Coinomi.
If you don't need to use it smartphones than Feather wallet is fine monero wallet especially for people who are familiar with Electrum, it has almost identical gui design and menus.
I never tried using Cake wallet (I remember they had one serious bug), but I think anything is better than Coinomi.

After a bit of research, I realized that AtomicDEX rebranded and changed its name to Komodo Wallet. Their new website is very weird. Many times when you click on something, it wants to download Komodo documents to your computer. They don't have a page that clearly explains all supported coins and tokens, though. It was the same with AtomicDEX.
I wrote about that in different topic, they rebranded and made things a bit more complicated and confusing for everyone.
1325  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Multi-Sig with Hardware Wallets - Problem on: August 30, 2023, 06:14:39 PM
The multisig is good, but I am worry that if I suddenly die, my wife could not find back the money. So maybe multisig is not a good choice for me.
Well yeah, you could also die without multisig and it would be the same IF you don't write recovery instruction letter for your wife.
Making more complications means it's going to be harder for anyone to recover your coins.

PS
Try to use correct quotes in forum...
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Reliability of sites such as mempool.space for estimating fees. on: August 30, 2023, 06:03:50 PM
I don't know if you have had this impression recently with mempool.space or the sites you use.
Mempool.space is open source and you can run it yourself as self-hosted, so you don't have to depend on any third party.
If you don't want to do that than you can check mempool state from several sources and get median mid value.
You can check my BTC Mempool Fees Extension/add-on for Firefox/Chrome browser that includes mempool.space with two more source (blockchain.com and bitcoinber.live).
Default settings in mempool.space but you can do manual change quickly.

PS
Note that nothing is 100% precise since all of this is just estimated fees.

1327  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Whirlwind.money - withdrawals are not being processed ⚠️ on: August 30, 2023, 05:53:41 PM
I made another part bold: there are no damages anymore.
No more damages that we know.
Anyone else who used whirlwind mixer and had no connection with bitcointalk forum can't get any refund for potential loses.
I also think that refunds happened only because manager initiative that had enough extra coins to cover all the loses decodx had.

Anyway I removed my support for previous flag, and I supported new Flag Type 1.
1328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there crypto related freelancing sites around? on: August 30, 2023, 04:36:37 PM
please I will need guidance on how to get started with freelancing but will prefer if there are crypto based specifically Bitcoin as main payment option. I am a complete novice as regards freelancing and will like to know how best to set up a catchy profile that will be outstanding and unique one that will make my skills more marketable.
It's easy for someone to create crypto freelancing websites but problem is that you can't find enough job offers to compete with regular freelancing websites.
I think you would have higher chances of getting hired for some crypto related work in bitcointalk forum than in those freelancing websites.
Ideal scenario would be for some popular freelancing website to add bitcoin payments, but that would probably create regulation issues for them.

One website nobody mentioned so far is Latium, I see they have lot of projects completed and they exist since 2017:

1329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face unlock on bitcoin wallet devices on: August 30, 2023, 04:13:07 PM
Few days ago I saw latest thing used by scammers and hackers to easily unlock any devices that have biometrics face lock.
They only need one regular photo from phone owner, than they create video from that by adding same photo multiple times in a same way like movies are made...  this was later used to unlock phones.
Using biometrics alone is not safe, but using it in combination with strong password is not a bad idea.
Nobody is going to enter long password for unlocking phone every time.
1330  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: August 29, 2023, 08:24:24 PM
Some altcoins that are on the wallet are shitcoins. Not supporting Algorand, Quantum and many other coins and it is supporting just the peg of some coins, or supporting tokens. The only reason I prefer the wallet is that it is open source and support passphrase, but there are some shit tokens on the wallet.
I don't know what you wanted to say really...
All coins except Bitcoin are shitcoins, especially that examples you mentioned, they are one of the worst shitcoins and it does not matter to me on what blockchain they are on.
Only usable altcoin that is missing is maybe monero for it's privacy, but all coins are disabled by default so you don't even see them if you don't use them.

I do not know much about altcoins.
You certainly know more than me...I never even heard about Quantum  Cheesy
1331  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What happened to Coinomi? on: August 29, 2023, 08:12:15 PM
It looks like they've abandoned the project but left some existing servers running.
They are still a bit active in Coinomi Official Telegram, they posted about Coinomi web wallet, so they are still working on something, but I don't see much activity on twitter and other social media.

I wouldn't risk using them anymore when there is solid open source multicoin alternatives like Unstoppable.money wallet or Komodo wallet.
They even have swap exchanges integrated that works much better than in Coinomi wallet, but I don't think they support monero.

There is one more less known mobile wallet that supports Bitcoin with monero and other privacy coins, and it's called Stack wallet1.
Second one is called Cake wallet2, that is also open source, but use them both at your own risk:

1332  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Multi-Sig with Hardware Wallets - Problem on: August 29, 2023, 07:54:40 PM
I do not have other hardware wallets (Bitbox, keepkey, Passport, Keystone, Coldcard). Someone can tell me bitbox or keepkey is Ok to avoid this question?
I think you are making to much complications, but hey it's your choice.
Both bitbox and keepkey are based on trezor source code, and they don't have stupid app installation, so I am sure they don't have that problem.
However, I wouldn't use keepkey for anything serious, Bitbox is much more mature product, they have regular updates and they 100% support multisig without any issues.

As the method presented above, the only channel to hack is the Two-dimensional code. Now, maybe your money is safe, unless both Trezor company and Electrum are malicous, and they collaborate together. Am I right?
Nobody knows if you done everything correctly or not, but even if hardware wallets are malicious you are not connecting them to internet directly.
1333  Other / Archival / Re: No-KYC Exchange Encyclopedia on: August 29, 2023, 07:38:47 PM
Ratimov do you know what is happening with centralized exchanges registered in Seychelles that are all starting to add very strict KYC verification rules?
I see that many exchanges from your list are based in Seychelles (currently 11), and it all started with KuCoin and OKX, now it's Bitget, with more to come soon probably.
It looks like Seychelles are getting pressured to this, but better beware if you are using any exchanges that are based there.
1334  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 29, 2023, 07:30:54 PM
This doesn't just apply to mixers, but to everything that is pushed in the name of "AML". They'll go after mixers, after peer to peer trades, after DEXs, after the stupidly named "self hosted" wallets (which just means holding your own keys), after any and all services which don't collect KYC data.
I think they even have plans to expand AML crap to social media and to the whole internet, just look what that fool Elon Musk is doing with twitter aka X, wanting to turn it up into all-in-one app and add KYC verification  Tongue
If people comply with all this upcoming crazy stuff than they can say goodbye to any freedom in their life, but everything will be masked for their ''safety''.
New laws are applied in Europe and maybe we are going to see crazy autumn on social media (and in forums) this year, so better watch out what you write in public.
What's next? Thought Police maybe?  Roll Eyes
1335  Economy / Goods / Re: Platoo.Business - Free Unlimited Virtual and Physical VISA Cards on: August 29, 2023, 06:59:46 PM
Any trusted members that can vouch for this service?
I don't know anyone who used this cards and I never heard about them before they appear in forum, so I would be very careful using their card services.
1336  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: August 28, 2023, 10:00:33 PM
Update on Stax from Ledger, looks like they are delayed due to the curved e-ink display. There is no new delivery date specified.
Maybe they are also affected by ledger recover release news that resulted in decline in popularity and lower sales.
Stax maybe looks nice but I would never waste my money on this device, from inside they don't have anything special or new compared with their older models.
I don't know anyone who owns Stax wallet, and I never tested it so I can't say more about it.

Ironically the curved e-ink is only there to show a wallet label on the side so you can "stack" multiple devices together. I don't understand why anyone would need more than one device?
You mean other than making more profit for ledger?  Cheesy
1337  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: August 28, 2023, 09:54:26 PM
Do we have any other wallet (apart from hardware wallets) that is better than the Unstoppable wallet for the altcoins ?
No that I know, except maybe Komodo Wallet (ex AtomicDEX) that can be used both as wallet and decentralized exchange.
But let's stay on topic Unstoppable wallet, no need to talk about other wallets here or to experiment with bunch of shitcoins.
1338  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another eSim service on: August 28, 2023, 09:24:24 PM
You probably heard about Biterfill offering eSims before. This service does just that, the only difference is that this one seems to offer virtual numbers as well.
It's silly to KYC yourself on Binance for this...
Bitrefill or Binance are not the only services that offer eSims, I saw silent.link is also accepting BTC and LN payments, and I think there are more similar services on kycnot.me website.
One thing I am not 100% sure f there is any way to use eSIM cards on deg00gled phones or not.

I’m literally selling one with the same data for $3 (which I initially bought for $8). Tongue
Is this offer coming with phone number included or it's only for internet data traffic?
1339  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [BETA] [No KYC] Stealths launched "automated" virtual cards & SEPA transfers on: August 28, 2023, 08:56:51 PM
The companies you mentioned provides prepaid cards, not virtual. Btw our prepaid cards also work for 6 months, it's same for almost all prepaid card sellers.
Ok, I understand now.
For me they are all virtual and prepaid because I need to pay with coins to send money on cards, that is why I was confused.

I was reading terms on VISA Virtual card and I see that it's only possible to make single purchase in the same day... not exactly what I was looking for, that is even worse than Mastercard 2 weeks limit.
