7Zip is open source and it should be your primary choice.
WinRar is not really a free software since it's showing ads all the time, and you have to pay to remove this ads (or use cracked version),but 7zip is very good basic option. There are few other open source alternatives for winrar, like PeaZip that looks much better, have better integration with OS, and it supports more files. However, if you want to avoid all this risks and complications it's best to switch from win0S to good Linux OS (Fedora, Debian, Mint) that already have integrated compression tools. After doing that you wont have to worry anymore about malware and remote attacks.

What is your verdict? Safe? Avoid?
I would not use and trust that crap at all, and it's not only because of ledger recover service. They are pretty much trying to be shitcoin wallet that don't care about customer privacy for a long time, they leaked private information, they have terrible battery for model X, and they have worst quality control ever. It's just junk made in China, than later assembled in some French village garage, and graveyard of old ledger wallet models is getting bigger every day. I would not be surprised if they have some hidden government backdoor code with bunch of signed NDA's, but this is just my speculation.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed with the 12% APR. If they had the money to run the most profitable signature campaign, leave $40k as collateral, charged absolutely zero for mixing, and carried a shitload amount of money to begin with as we saw, then it doesn't preclude the possibility that they wanted to attract users via APR.
They certainly attracted several people in forum to leave coins received from signature campaign so they could earn a bit more. It was suspicious to me when they first released 12% APR and I wrote about that publicly, but this is not huge percentages like we saw in regular scams. Let me enter Speculation Station now, I don't want to vindicate whirlwind or to justify what happened with them, but I noticed several people mentioned about similarities with Tornado cash service, and we know that escrow funds was deposited in DAI tokens on ethereum blockchain. Now I saw one interesting news posted few days ago about recently arrested Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm, while fellow co-founder Roman Semenov remains at large, and he is added to the list of US sanctioned individuals. It's not impossible to think there was some connection with whirlwind, and this could be one of the reasons for their/his absence and for service not working anymore. https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/tornado-cash-founders-charged-money-laundering-and-sanctions-violationsWe may never know if there was any connection or nor, but I would like to know the truth, one way or another.

I don't think 3D printing works with electronic components. Except for maybe the case as dkbit98 hinted.
It's not that hard to make your of PCB's, I saw many tutorials posted online, but it can be tricky if you are doing it for the first time. Where's that? I was thinking this could be possible in theory I'm not sure, but according to their docs, Flutter apps should run on Android versions that support the API version 21 to 34 Hmmm that's strange, it should work. I even tried it one Android emulator with newer Android version but I couldn't start Envoy app. Most of the other apps I checked before in my testing worked just with this emulator. The minimum version is Android 10 for Envoy. Pro tip, you can check in the Play Store under "About" and it will list the "Required OS" versions!
How about pro tip for people who are using de-g00gled phones

So this whole thing is a charade. I see no logical reason to run a site that on first sight seems just slightly tied / sponsored by CoinKite / ColdCard, while being actually run by them, instead of just posting reproducibility instructions on the actual wallet's GitHub page and calling it a day.
Funny thing that I exposed this charade first time this website was released, when they showed fake donation received from Coinkite aka Coldcard However, I don't think bitcoinbinary.org website is a bad idea overall, since everyone can use it for all other bitcoin wallets. Question is how many people are actually using bitcoinbinary.org for this purpose, according to their log I see that last checked wallet was ColCard back in April of this year, before that it was Bitcoin Core in January... there is nothing more in whole 2023... Archive of ''donation'': http://web.archive.org/web/20210916165204/https://bitcoinbinary.org/I was never a fan of circus shows.

Of course, we all heard about the recent problems of the Ledger company, but have things reached the point that the wallet can no longer be trusted anymore?
Yes, I don't trust ledger and any of their products, but you have to make this decision for yourself, don't just ask what random people in forum think about it. I really don't see what this posted image with fake seed phrase has to do with trusting or not trusting ledger wallets.

I heard that using a simple non-custodial wallet like Electrum on your system may be less secure but if we combine it with Multi-Sig, it would be impossible for the hacker to get hold of our funds even if he manages to hack the system Is it true? Almost impossible, but it's still possible to happen with a gun/wrench in your head, or if you didn't store backups correctly. Also, I would like if anyone can provide the step by step instructions (any link to guide) on setting up a Multi-Sig wallet.
It all depends what wallets you are using for multisig setup and how many devices you are using, but there is no universal instruction for everything. I would avoid using ledger and trezor wallets in any multisig setup, as they can have issues that is not allowing construction of multisig or it can't be verified or it's not secure. If you are doing this for a first time maybe it's best to first try creating multisig with bitcoin testnet coins before you switch to mainnet. Here is one good multisig step-by-step instruction from Bitbox hardware wallet blog: https://bitbox.swiss/blog/bitbox02-electrum-bitcoin-multisig/There is a list I made with most wallets that curtently support multisig: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5324749

I tried again, and this time connecting with Electrum worked on my Nano S. I thought I had shut down Ledger Live previous to trying to connect last time in Electrum, but maybe I didn't.
Make sure to update Electrum wallet with latest version, they often release fixes and updates for better compatibility with hardware wallets. I wouldn't use ledger live app for anything else except for firmware update, and I would seriously consider switching to some open source hardware wallet, instead of closed source ledger. One more thing, ledger stopped manufacturing model S, so it's just a matter of time when they stop supporting it.

By the way, if you have suggestions for expanding trading in your region, we can connect you with our manager to discuss the details. We provide attractive conditions for our merchants, such as discounts on fees up to 90%, free currency conversion, and other beneficial offers. Let us know if you're interested in discussing collaboration details.
Maybe if your P2P trading service was permanently without KYC verification, but this is not the case, since you have this option only during beta testing phase. I also don't know what happens in case of some dispute between participants and how this issues can be resolved.

Update: It looks like Bitrefill announced the release of their eSIM service yesterday[1][2]. Unfortunately, and as mentioned by @_act_ these eSims don't have a phone number, meaning you can't use them to receive calls or texts (which IMO should've been their first priority here).
It's strange that I am getting 404 Not Found error on first link you posted, but I can find them and open on their main page I think I saw other services offering e-sim cards for Bitcoin and other crypto (for example silent.link), so this is nothing special for Bitrefill.

Could someone explain what are some best practices for maximum privacy? Don't use your real address but instead use Amazon lockers for delivery. If you were to want to use it on Amazon, what would be right steps?
I think Bitreffil has dedicated Amazon cards, and they accept Bitcoin and shitcoins, so you could easily use Lightning Network or some other coin to improve privacy (swap from BTC before purchase). There is almost zero chance LN Bitcoin will get flagged by anyone as tainted, at least I never heard something like that. I am not supporting any shitcoins but they can be useful temporary in situations like this, or when you want to save on fees. And if you mix your coins and end up with tainted coins, or someone that paid you had tainted coins whether they knew or not, you will be the one that gets doxed while using said tainted coins and you don't want that.
Forget about idea of tainted coins, and don't purchase expensive items on Amazon. If you are so concerned and privacy and tainted bs, than just purchase things with cash.

I am located within the United States. Does anyone know of a similar service that provide Crypto debit Visa/MasterCards, that is located within the United States???
I know about one service called coindebit.io that works without any kyc verification, and it's available only within United States. Note that I am not vouching for them, so you better test it yourself and use with smaller amount of coins. There are also FCF Pay cards but I am not sure if they work everywhere. I wont recommend any other cards that are connected with centralized exchanges, but you can find plenty of them that work in US.

The swaps are currently in pause. They are also going to enable lending after the next upgrade.
If they can pause and start swaps whenever they want then this is not really decentralized or non-custodial exchange, and I would not trust them with larger amount of coins. As for adding lending feature, this is another red flag for me, and it would not surprise me to see this turning into scam or ''exploit'' by unknown NK hackers in future. I guess it's still buggy
Or they are simply junk... but I will give it a try myself in next few days. @OmegaStarScream You can add eXch exchange in your list (links in my sig).

When you're exchanging you're looking for top rates but what else's important before sending to instant swappers. Which instant swappers are you recommending?
Most secure way for exchanging BTC for XMR is with Bisq exchange, but rates can be higher and you need to deposit some Bitcoin before you can trade there. You also need to install Bisq and you can run it only on your computer, there is no mobile version available (and they wont make it any time soon). Unstoppableswap is also fine, but last time I checked it only worked for very small amount of coins. Best fast option for me is currently eXch exchange (you can find the links in my signature). They have one of the best prices and you will never be asked for any kyc verification or sending documents, because they don't use third party exchanges and you don't need to register anywhere. Only thing I noticed is that sometimes they don't have enough XMR available, so you need to wait a bit longer for them to get it on their wallets. I recommend using Onion link with Tor browser.

Foundation Devices already does this - If you go here[1] you'll find all the files that are used to produce Passport Batch 2. These files are specially handy if you need to replace a specific part of your device (or if you prefer to create a more custom look for it).
I know about this, but I think it would be cool to order all parts in DIY kit package and assemble them at home, except parts that can be 3d printed anywhere. This should reduce price significantly and I bet people would experiment more with printing custom cases. I have already entertained thoughts of DIY Passport. After studying their docs I have understood that the most challenging for me part of such DIY project would be the making of multilayer printed circuit board rather than 3d printing. For me, it would be hard, even impossible, to make at home. If you are talking about PCB, this part can be ordered directly from Passport website, but I never made multilayer printed circuit board and I don't know how complicated this is. I've tried Envoy and it connects to my electrs server running on my Bitcoin node over Tor without issues. Do you know what is oldest Android version needed to run Envoy. I tried on one older phone and I couldn't install it, and I even tried directly with .apk file, forced install but I could not open the app.

I can not reproduce the overlapping texts. So I think it might have been some old cache... So you two probably looked right while I was editing the website I guess! If you still see it please let me know. And thanks for posting anyway Old cache can't be the issue because I used web browsers that never visited crypto-hardware.com and/or they didn't have any history. Anyway, I am checking now again and it looks fine now, no more overlapping text. Added comparison functionality. Might tweak it some more, but like it so far.
Four wallets is maximum number for comparison?

Someone is still using whirlwind website and making deposits! Two deposits made yesterday, but there is no change in their BTC address, still showing 12.85436836 BTC, last transactions made 3 weeks ago. I don't know what would be the best way to warn people not to send them coins anymore...

I keep getting this error.
Dude, I literally told you that you need to add link of your scam accusation topic to that empty field.... I don't know what is so hard in doing that This link should be added: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461922.0No need now dkbit98 already created one, supported the flag, and would like to invite others to support the flag
Yes there is need, because I created only Type 1 flag, and he can create Type 2 or Type 3 flag because he was personally scammed.
