501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex = Scam exchange beware. on: July 01, 2017, 05:36:56 PM
You guys are scaring me, and I feel unconformable, I need to withdraw some of my balance in poloniex and I'm not sure in what coin should I withdraw, which coin does not need the "approval" and is almost instant or fast? Withdrawing in bitcoins can be instant or not?

In Polo there is either 2K or 25 k daily withdraw limit. So if you have a lot of money there, it will take a long time to get them out.

ALso Polo is trading platform.. not wallet. Wallets are much more secure for hackers etc..
so you want to keep all of your long term investments in wallets.. and keep only your trading capital in Polo.

I know about the limits and withdrawing a large amount of money for example 10-15k worth in USD then it may take a week to get them out, not only we should wait but we have to pay fees for each transaction which both of them sucks. We should not consider poloniex and any other exchange like a wallet because these are getting hacked "easily" and so "often".
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin In 3 years on: June 30, 2017, 06:09:23 PM
Hello,

I would like to know if Dogecoin price will be boosted or will stay calm in its regular price?

DogeCoin is really an old coin and has a good community, I think it was started as a joke but the fact that is still alive and has a better price than years ago makes me think that people are investing in doge. But at the other side is bad to see that there isn't any progress in this coin except that the infrastructure is a good one which makes us to make fast transaction with low fee. The price of Doge is increasing slowly and i think within a short period of time we can see it at 70s satoshis.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: June 30, 2017, 05:38:01 PM
I went to their website and I'm surprised about this asic, it says 100Gh/s which is more than 100 GPUs and cost really cheap at $2.5k, I made a calculation and the ROI can be reached within 3 weeks, wanted to pre-order one but saw that they will ship before or on June 30 but in 2018 Sad

Code:
Shipping costs are $35 per unit for US/Europe/China Customers and $70 per unit for anywhere else.
Orders will ship on or before June 30, 2018.

Update: When trying to purchase: an unknown error has occurred and has been reported to the developers.

The ROI will probably be good, but not so short as 3 weeks. More probably 2-3 months. You are probably missing 2 factors:

- 1 obelisk added to the network is nothing, but if 10.000 obelisks are added, the network size will go 5x approximately, and so the difficulty. Thus, profitability will be 5 times less than today's

- Today's block reward is 190000, but in one year it will be 135000

Of course, if more than 10000 ASICs are sold, other manufacturers get there before them or second batches are delivered (while they are promising 2nd batch will never be delivered during a window of 6 weeks) the calculations will change

For the problem you are having in the purchase, I recommend you getting into the Slack or the Reddit and ask there. A lot of people had that problem too yesterday, but I think it was solved.

One year is really long in the crypto world, things move so fast that we don't know how far will go Sia next year, will it be available or will it shut down. I simply can't predict how much will be the difficulty after a year but when these asics come in market things will change too much. I have purchased 285k SIA at 2.2BTC, have I made a good decision? Price has been dropped a lot now!

505  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: which is the best? Blockchain or Coinbase. on: June 29, 2017, 08:09:09 PM
Due to experience lots of excuses from coinbase i think coinbase is the best choice if you really want to use a good online wallet..
These past few weeks or months we are experience of unavailable in coinbase that is really annoying every month or every week we are seeing this issue about the wallet every time we are seen the price is increase sooner coinbase will unavailable reason they are updating the theme of the wallet or fixing the atm issue or any issue that they can be a reason..
Unlike blockchain that if they are experience of issue sooner they can solve the issue. .

Coinbase is having issues too, they are going offline many times in the past days/weeks and I wouldn't recommend to use coinbase because in case you need to make a fast transaction then you will have to wait them to go back online, sometimes the mobile app works better than the website but still you are depended from them, and the tx fees are higher than any other wallet.

509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there any altcoins exchange platform that can list your coin for free ? on: June 23, 2017, 01:15:03 AM
Hey do you guys happen to know if there is any  exchange that list new coins for free ? is there an exchange right now that  does this ?

As far as I know most exchanges charge a lot to list your coin but recently I have see Nova exchange ( I assume it is free) but what you need to do is gather votes from the community so in total you need 250 votes, so each user has the right to vote once a day. See the current coins that are in the voting phase here: https://novaexchange.com/addcoin/
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: June 23, 2017, 01:10:39 AM
The current fee setup is not what Bitcoin was intended for. Bitcoin as a currency is made for micro payments and with this outragous fees it's not anymore. Ppl in third world countries can't even such ridiculous fees. So how would this give a boost to adoption again...?

Bitcoin in public is known as a fast money where the transaction are super fast and near zero transaction but this advertisement isn't valid nowadays where the bitcoin transactions are getting delayed because the transaction fees are getting increased at unexpected rate and for micro transaction bitcoin is not a good way to make it as it is high costly but there is a way pay to many but still the fee is high.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Raises 40 million+ on: June 23, 2017, 01:06:34 AM
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-wallet-start-blockchain-raises-094800860.html

Start-up Blockchain raises 40 million from Google and Richard Branson. Interesting... Google trying to get into the space? Thoughts?

Soon we will see that bitcoin will be accepted and being used in the google play store and in other products/services that Google offers to us, I think it is a good news since google is a big company and when they invest in something we should not doubt that something good for the community is coming. Google Wallet + Bitcoin.
512  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10K at the end of 2017? on: June 23, 2017, 01:02:41 AM
Last month, we have read many self-proclaimed Bitcoin analysts and experts proclaiming to the whole world that soon Bitcoin will hit $10,000 by the end of 2017. We have some corrections since then which pulled back Bitcoin a little bit from its $2800 high and right now as I speak it is hovering at the $2500-$2600 level.

Bitcoin is now priced higher than 1oz. of gold and has beaten any other financial instruments in terms of return on investment which result into many money managers noticing Bitcoin and transferring some of their eggs into it.

Do you think Bitcoin will really make it into $10K within this year, most especially after its August One "date with destiny"?

The August-November will be a "hard time" for bitcoin because many things are expected to happen and I'm afraid bitcoin price will be affected a lot by this, don't know I expect a price drop of bitcoin but maybe also lower transaction fees. So I don't expect for this year the price to be in 5 digits, that's too high but everything can happen, if that would be reached I wouldn't be surprised, it's that I just didn't expected.
513  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Online wallets on: June 22, 2017, 10:07:40 PM
Can u advice some good online wallets please? Huh

Here you can find some suggestions about web wallets if you mean that: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet , some wallets do not allow you to have full control over your money so you may only be able to sign a message but nothing else to spend using the private key, if their website goes down then you can't access your funds.
514  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Exchange] Liqui - trade and earn 24 APR on BTC, ETH on: June 22, 2017, 09:40:17 PM
liqui definetely needs a new interface.
the matched amount, trade history on exchange page, detailed trade history in accounts section.
these are all missing at the moment.

Definitely, there is no scroll in the browsesr at the right side so I have to click somewhere in the page and page down and sometimes it get mixed with the graph, and sell/buy orders, Liqui has been grown pretty good within a short period of time and has some coins that aren't everywhere else which I admire this but with the issues that users are having like few comments above makes a "foggy" situation.

516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Liqui.io is a scam. BEWARE on: June 22, 2017, 07:58:55 PM
OP may be slow in providing proof, but I'll provide proof of my own case. I am having the same issue as OP.

TX ID is: 0x194d713814805f618055f361a7a592e8278f6e79e189475be8bff8acc99e8048  (does not exist in etherscan)
The address I am trying to withdraw to is: 0xA819E3ddAe7a2fd30aBF3b52A2Ac369d2e8E3a2f

I totally believe OP, because it is happening to me now as we speak:

sorry guys just saw these replies. here is the TXid: 0x0d42a974e761ecea775fbb31de6da6065842a2dd90175fc5b2d9200706565b94

will get screenshots of the emails ive sent later and post

Unfortunately, None of these transaction IDs are listed in etherscan.io. If they say we will check then I have a feeling that this is happening only for ETH deposit/withdrawals as also other exchanges are having "issues"

Coinbase shows this:
Code:
Ethereum Transaction Delays
We're currently working through a backlog of Ethereum withdrawals. Recent or new sent transactions may remain pending longer than expected.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100, when? on: June 22, 2017, 07:54:37 PM
ETC needs to attract some ICOs on its platform. That will help boost its price nicely.
Not when they have ETH to use for their ICOs.
Why would they go with ETC when they can do the exactly same thing with what they are using currently?
Does not make any sense to do this man! Roll Eyes
Also if it can be used for something else then it would be more valuable for alt coin collects.
Just needs to find it's niche is all. Wink

The transaction of ETH is quite slow at the monent, so people might use ETC instead.

Currently ~6 ETC are equal to $100. The ethereum blockchain or only exchanges are having issues and after they switch to PoS then I think the miners will move to etc or probably to zcash.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SNC] SunContract - Decentralized Energy Market on: June 22, 2017, 01:13:06 AM
Just ordinary day at work, prepairing everything for ICO

[img ]https://i.imgur.com/scHQiGw.jpg[/img]

Close some tabs, that's because your PC is slow Tongue, good job guys, there are less than 6 days until the ICO will start and I'm excited to see how the ICO will run and how much funds will be collected for this project. Since the SNC is compared directly with ETH does it mean that whatever the price of the ETH will be it will affect directly the SNC price/exchange rate?
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy or Wait for the biggest dump of Ethereum on: June 22, 2017, 01:04:59 AM
Ether is down almost 0.0125 btc or 10% down. please tell me if this a good time to buy or wait for the lowest pick thank you for answer

It's mostly a correction but consider that there are lots of people that are involved in ethereum mining based on the hardware market where there are lots of requests buying the motherboards, GPUs, PSUs. If you want to sell then I would advice to hold but if you need to buy then it's not a bad moment to buy as the price has been dropped a lot.
I won't consider it as a correction when the eth price dropped down to 25% or so.
It could be the real dump and won't bounce back or corrected , i confident with my own analysis.
I see yeaaa a lot of people start planning and building miner to mine eth since last month and it is affected the market a little at least.

Of course it is affected and it's affected a lot, I don't remember that there is a massive request of gpus in the market, and suddenly the price of the GPUs has been increased a lot but seeing the potential that these have sometimes it worth even buying at a price of +50% of the normal price.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is a good investment move on: June 22, 2017, 12:38:09 AM
I think also before the end of this year 2017 the price for sure will hit 1000 dollars and those people have thousands  of  ethereum will become instant millionaire person. I hope that price will happen do we can make a lot of profiy. Base on my research ethereum is the next bitcoin because of the big potential in the future but no one can say what is the exact or what happen in this coin in the future but I hope ethereum will live for long time.

Many exchanges are "lagging" the progress of the ethereum rise, I have seen that coinbase has postponed the normal process of the ethereum exchange, same with few other exchanges. The user base of ethereum is keeping increasing a lot recently and I think the price will become much higher than now and probably will be doubled by the end of the year.
