More people shoot each other in an hour some days in Chicago. Good thing guns are banned right? Who knows how much worse it would be?
5182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MMT: The US government does NOT have to add taxes to add spending on: March 19, 2019, 09:07:31 AM
Its a completely illogical argument.  Some bad people claimed an ideology therefore the ideology is at fault.  ISIS is islam, etc etc.  A lot of the people who hold these beliefs would never apply them to their own ideologies.  Christians aren't ever going to be summarized as terrorists or Catholics as pedophiles.

You are out of your fucking mind. Go home you're stupid.

@LoyceV

If you able to find the archive copy of that OP when it first published
It's too old, I don't have it.

Quote
I remember in first copy ,it was paid service and it look like same as newbie asking loan without collateral.
It's the services section, if it's free and not related to Bitcoin it shouldn't even be on that board.

Quote
Ok, I also do not want to involve in religion but I do not think Idiot Coder is wrong on that feedback because it was paid service which cannot be measured (so I can say it is some kind of scammy/shady deal)
That's the problem with trusts without Reference. It literally says: "offering religious services.", which isn't against any rules.
Of course you can argue it's scammy/shady, but you can argue that for any religion. Praying can't be measured, but I don't think that's the point of prayers. It's more like selling a dream, and if it makes someone happy to pay someone to pray for him, by all means, let them use Bitcoin for it!

This is a great example of why this forum is special and why people should be left the fuck alone unless they are directly harming other people. Some 3rd party idiot is ALWAYS going to have SOME KIND of objection to something people decide to do of their own free will. Unless there is a victim, I don't think it is any of their fucking business to begin with, and furthermore this mentality of getting into everyone's business is itself repugnant and antithetical to Bitcoin itself.

Bitcoin was created to serve as a person to person method of exchange in order to prevent 3rd parties from dictating to others what they can trade and how. Of course immediately people demand to be able to dictate to others once again regardless if it is hurting anyone or not... This is why I advocate a standard of evidence of theft, violation of contractual agreement, or violation of applicable laws as a standard for rating, so that unless there is a victim and physical evidence of some kind, people get left the fuck alone and are not subject to this weird Stalinesque regime where the trust cops pick a target then find the crime.

5184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: March 18, 2019, 09:25:18 PM
Won't happen in the U.S. as I said earlier, and the guy is only talking about "increased rights" in New Zealand. If a mass shooting happens on this scale, it is only natural to re-evaluate gun a nation's gun laws. He sure did push them along, you and him are right about that.

As for censorship, it seems you are completely mistaken and pulled that out of your ass. Don't let me get in the way of standing between reality and beliefs you already held before the shooting happened, however.

Also it sounds like you largely agree with the shooter in his manifesto by quoting it in the manner which you did. If not, why would you quote the bits about "they had long lost their cities"...? Only a dangerous fringe actually believe in that sort of talk.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-03-16/nz-threatens-10-years-prison-possessing-mosque-shooting-video-web-hosts-warned

These victims aren't even in the ground yet and this event is already being used to push expanded censorship and removal of gun ownership rights. This is how the boa constrictor of incrementalist totalitarianism works people... piles of bodies are just another day at work for the people who play these "games".

These victims aren't even in the ground and you are already chalking their deaths up to a great conspiracy that only exists in the minds of the severely deluded.

By any chance, are you one of those "Sandy Hook was a hoax" guys?

"won't happen in the US" Well shit I am relieved now, because you are such an expert on things and you say it will never happen.

I guess I can ignore the fact that thousands of people across the US are already unconstitutionally having their guns seized without due process under so called "red flag" laws which essentially amount to having no rights since anyone (including police) can accuse you of being unstable and have their guns confiscated. Also I guess I don't have to worry about politicians openly pushing confiscation now, or national gun registries, or places like California where law abiding gun owners can become felons over night.

ITS OK EVERYONE! NUTILDUH SAYS IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!

Increased rights in New Zealand? Before you start making all these proclamations about what or wasn't said, maybe you should learn to read first.

So The People's Republic of China is the social structure he says he most associates with, but he doesn't want censorship, gun confiscation, or totalitarianism? If you had an active brain stem and were capable of reading and then examining the material critically, you would see that the shooter has a firm grasp on the process of the Hegelian Dialectic. That is again, thesis + antithesis = synthesis. He said very clearly he intended to create divisions and accelerate conflict to a civil war in the West.

You don't think censorship of all the dissidents he mentioned in his manifest will accomplish said division and reaction? You don't think people are just as willing to defend free speech with their lives? I am sorry you have such a simple mind, but I didn't just pull anything "out of my ass".

"Also it sounds like you largely agree with the shooter in his manifesto by quoting it in the manner which you did. If not, why would you quote the bits about "they had long lost their cities"...? Only a dangerous fringe actually believe in that sort of talk. "

And here we are, the point in your pathetic little retort where you attempt to associate me with the shooter because I quoted what he said. It is much easier to just try to say I am a nut rather than form a logical response to anything I have presented. Especially when you are incapable of forming a logical response. Funny, it seems that same line you didn't even read right is also your basis for claiming I agree with him. The usual high standards I expect from Nutilduh.

Once again, with lack of argument, you move directly to the personal attacks and attempts at guilt by manufactured association. Without any real argument you must again resort to trying to label me as a"Sandy Hook denier" because anything else would require a thought process that you do not have the mental capacity to handle. You are a simple creature, that is why these simple tricks work on you. Fortunately everyone is not as simple minded as you are and can see when things don't add up.

Two guys planning to rob a 7-11 is a conspiracy. Two or more people planning any crime is a conspiracy. A conspiracy is legal terminology for a crime, and conspiracies happen every day. This shooting was a conspiracy by anyones definition, but again I know you are a simple minded creature and think "conspiracy" is synonymous with "hoax only crazy people believe". Anything else would require more thought than you have the capacity to undertake.

5185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: March 18, 2019, 01:20:56 PM
People would change profile pics, light candles, form a circle and pray, rinse, repeat. Same with Orlando, Paris, etc.

They'll make these gestures but people never learn. They still allow mentally unstable people to have easy access to guns. They still allow fundamentalist groups of every flavor platform for propagating their message.

Congratulations on reacting exactly the way the shooter hoped you would by pushing censorship and gun control.

That's not what the shooter hoped. Things the shooter "pushed:"

- White supremacy
- Immigrants as invaders
- War on all Muslims

Selective censorship and gun control are a sensible reaction to the shooting. Despite your earlier claims otherwise, New Zealand had relatively lax restrictions on gun ownership up until a few days ago. They will likely follow in the footsteps of Australia, which banned guns after their last massacre, and hasn't had one since.

This whole thing is completely fake.  They are all actors, you got duped and just watched another bullshit hollywood scene so they can put in laws to take our guns away.
You sure what you're saying?

No, he's not. And he should relax: nobody is taking America's guns away, even if they should.

As usual you claim authority on subjects you know nothing about.

Quotes from the shooter's manifesto:

"Won’t your attack result in calls for the removal of gun rights from Whites in the United states?
Yes, that is the plan all along, you said you would fight to protect your rights and the constitution, well soon will come the time.

Won’t your attack result in calls for the removal of gun rights in the New Zealand?

The gun owners of New Zealand are a beaten, miserable bunch of baby boomers, who have long since given up the fight. When was the last time they won increased rights? Their loss was inevitable. I just accelerated things a bit. They had long since lost their cities, take a look at Auckland. Did you really expect they would not also lose their rights?"

"With enough pressure the left wing within the United states will seek to abolish the second amendment, and the right wing within the US will see this as an attack on their very freedom and liberty. This attempted abolishment of rights by the left will result in a dramatic polarization of the people in the United States and eventually a fracturing of the US along cultural and racial lines."

"The nation with the closest political and social values to my own is the
People’s Republic of China."

https://observer.news/assets/The-Great-Replacement.pdf

His entire MO is to create conflict by triggering a reaction. Some will cry we need more gun control and censorship. Others will die before letting that happen. You are literally advocating for exactly what he intended to happen.

This manifesto was a meticulously created piece of psychological warfare designed to radicalize the maximum numbers of people, while getting them to beg for removal of freedoms, and impugn the most effective voices of dissent by associating himself with them. This was a state level psychological operation 100%

"easy access to guns"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_New_Zealand#Current_firearms_law

Looks pretty restrictive to me, including mental health screening, but the answer is never to reach an end goal for gun control pushers, it is always just "more", regardless of how ineffective it is.

I ran into the same problem recently, but it doesn't happen often. Spammers/bumpers have also used higher ranking accounts, many of those were farmed in the past, so I vote to keep this as is.

They also have something to lose... noobs not so much. I agree the bump spam is not acceptable but some kind of middle ground here would be useful.

Everyone please stop pretending you care about the borrower. You care about getting your little dopamine hit after leaving a red rating. There is no reason it can't be done later. It is always the same scorched Earth policy around here with very little thought given to the results or effects on the lender.

I left him negative trust, and even if he pays back this loan, I'm thinking it's probably a good idea that marcotheminer has a warning to others on his trust page.

You just took the only incentive away which OP had.

Good job

Getting a negative trust shouldn't dissuade somebody from acting like a decent person, or doing the right thing.

It shouldn't, but is is worth noting the negative impact on the actual victim here just to fulfill the compulsive need to leave a little red mark by his name. IMO restorative justice > punitive justice
5190  Other / Meta / Can we delete posts before 24 hours in goods again please? on: March 18, 2019, 07:16:48 AM
I know this was probably put in place to stop people from abusively bumping threads and then deleting the post to re-bump, but can we maybe remove the limits for hero and above or something? Occasionally I will mistakenly make a post or want to delete an old bump for example if some one replies after just so I don't have to remember to delete it later.

The overly aggressive bumping seems to be mostly a new user issue as far as I can tell, so it seems it would have minimal negative impact to allow ranked up users to do so. Maybe there is some other reason it was put in place and I am just missing it. Anyone else have opinions?

The above was deemed off topic in spite of the fact it was a direct discussion about Venezuela and the causes for its circumstances, yet I reported the posts below as off topic, and they are marked as "bad" either because I was the one to report them, Flying Hellfish own opinions align with their opinions, or both.

Come on - all he is doing, to use your analogy, is pouring petrol on the flames. He needs to butt out, and sort out the problems at home. All he is doing is turning the world against America. That is a shame because it is Washington, and not America that is the problem. He is going to lead you into a war, and that will destroy the country economically and politically. I don't believe that the US is the top military force any more, they seem to lose all the wars they get into directly.

Well the US is a big country and since all resources are distributed based on extreme inequality, we end up with the best and worst of everything. Jetcash statement would not apply to well-off areas but its definitely a reasonable point if you consider underserved areas within the US for your comparison.

https://www.vox.com/identities/2018/8/15/17692414/puerto-rico-power-electricity-restored-hurricane-maria
Just for perspective, Puerto Rico was without power for 11 months and it was largely due to the poor shape of the grid infrastructure before Maria. I think its safe to say it was in worse shape.
Quote
How’d they get that way? As an invaluable article in IEEE Spectrum points out, tax incentives in the 1970s induced mainland US companies to build factories in the southern part of the island, so Prepa built generating facilities there. In 1996 the tax break expired and the factories left. So today, 70 percent of Puerto Rico’s population lives in the north, around San Juan, and 70 percent of the power generation is in the south. A fragile grid connects the two via tough, mountainous terrain. Scattered rural populations have always had a tenuous connection to that grid. Meanwhile Prepa, hamstrung by billions of dollars of debt, austerity measures, and possible corruption slacked off on maintenance. Hurricane Maria sliced Puerto Rico’s broken-down grid in half.

This has been what Knowles calls a “slow disaster.” Like the lead-tainted water in Flint, Michigan or a flood in Houston, the crisis in Puerto Rico came not as a consequence of one big storm but after years of well-understood neglect. “The standard logic has been, ‘we know, and that’s just the way our government works.’ So we wait for a disaster,” Knowles says. “But disaster relief funds are not up to the challenge of meeting deferred maintenance issues.”
https://www.wired.com/story/why-cant-we-fix-puerto-ricos-power-grid/

Also, keep in mind that Flint, New Orleans, and Houston have all suffered severe disasters because of poor, foreseeable infrastructure failures that we are sure were not due to any intentional sabotage.

There is literally not even a single mention of the actual respective topics, but some people are more equal than others to Flying Hellfish.

Oh I do apologize for telling you to fuck off from my own thread, I don't know what came over me. I don't need bored retards telling me what to sell either after nearly a decade trading here. Hhampuz has demonstrated to me recently his desire to reform his rating behavior to be more logic and evidence based rather than emotionally based as is the standard for some around here. Out of anyone who leaves frivolous ratings, he is near the very bottom of the list of people that are causing real problems. While I disagree with many of the people he deems trustworthy here, there are far better people to focus on than Hhampuz.

I am of the opinion he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment even if the point about a double standard may be completely valid. Learn to pick your battles instead of just striking out at people randomly. Or just write pages upon pages of indiscriminate condemnation of everyone and you can and continue to be ignored. Either one.
5196  Economy / Reputation / Re: nutildah got red trust recent hours. Is the red trust fairly for him? on: March 18, 2019, 02:00:22 AM
Ok, so it seems to me his comment was in fact directly involving finance. If I say I really like XYZ gambling site, and they are actually a fraud and you redtag me for it, are you not negative rating me for what I said?

His comment referenced me posting a news story about Monero. Has nothing to do with Dash. The Dash part of his comment has nothing to do with finance. It stemmed from when I asked him what was up with his multi-year obsession with trolling Dash. If you want to argue that does have to do with finance, OK fine, but as far as them actually being a fraud is concerned, that point is not well evidenced by iCEBREAKER. As I said previously I don't even hold Dash anymore, I was just intrigued when I saw iCEBREAKER had returned to continue his epic trolling saga.

After seeing my comment, he dug up and commented on several old threads of mine, looking for a reason to red tag me I suppose.

Lets look at a few examples from your own ratings:

"bataklik   2019-02-23   0.00000000   Reference   Promoter of scam project that is pretending to be a successful project. Please see here for scam accusation thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110191.0 . This user's account has likely been hacked and is untrustworthy. "

"BrieMiller   2019-02-22   0.00000000   Reference   Promotion of HYIP products, part of a bumping service that bumps threads with low-value posts. Not genuinely concerned with the outcome of projects. Do not trust this user or take any of their questions seriously. "

"cryptobenn   2018-12-02   0.00000000   Reference   Promoting the ETH token scam "FREE Coin" "

There are more but I would rather not be here all day. I am not even saying your ratings shouldn't have been left, maybe they should, but that is irrelevant.

It seems to me iCEBREAKER's rating for you is functionally indistinguishable from these ratings you have left for others as defined by your own terms of what makes it invalid. Being critical of some one is not trolling just because you are having trouble dealing with it.

The difference is he left his rating for me spreading what he considered to be "fake news." Has nothing to do with finance or transactions. My ratings all implicate the user of having financially-related motivations and being involved in what is potentially a scam, and they are backed by evidence displayed in the referenced link.

Do you believe "being critical of some one" is a good reason to leave a negative trust? If the answer is "no," then you should remove iCEBREAKER from your inclusions.

He specifically referenced feedback you have left for the DASH dev (which it appears has been deleted since, I am not sure I don't see it) as well as your posts about Monero. Also you again have left negative ratings for others simply for promoting projects that you feel are not legitimate. If those ratings are valid for you to leave I see no reason why his rating left for you should not be valid. Your ratings have just as much to do with "financial transactions" as yours seeing as you provided zero evidence to support your claims.

Usually I might be inclined to discuss this rating with him, but you seem intent on insisting you have a right to leave ratings like this for others while claiming ratings motivated by the exact same type of activity are invalid when left for you. I am willing to reconsider actions to resolve this if you are willing to start observing a standard of evidence of theft, violation of contractual agreement, or violation of applicable laws when leaving negative ratings. Until then all I see is a hypocrite crying that they got a tiny taste of what they dish out to others freely without evidence.

I’m Turk and I live in Turkey. I don't understand why Europeans accept non-white and muslim refugees in their own countries. My grandfather was a soldier in the Ottoman Empire. Sometimes we don't even want to live with some radical Muslims. They don’t respect your culture and live their culture in your country. If you don’t want to live like Europeans, why did you immigrate to Europe. And know that. When they raise population of muslims in your country, they want to change your life style. Stop accepting non-white or radical refugees. Such attacks are just the beginning. It is sad but different cultures can’t live together. Defend Europe

The strange thing is that when innocents are killed in places of worship
You leave the murderer and look for the known scarecrow illusion
(Radical Islamists)
This terrorist killer you does not consider him a radical Christian?
You seem to have a problem with the Islamists in general and want them to give up their identity
They live like secularists or Christians, for example, and this is impossible
Everyone can live in peace as long as the ideas of acceptance of the other and dialogue of civilizations prevail
Not the clash of civilizations

There are two sides to this coin. In the Western word one has excuses made for it and people crying racism and bigotry every time it is called out. The other is blasted at maximum volume and taken to the most extreme interpretations. This person did not shoot these people because of religious motivations, yet most radical Muslim terrorists do regularly cite their religious beliefs as motivation. One of these happens more than the other, you are attempting to craft a false equivalency.

Plenty of Muslims move to Western nations and assimilate. They are not the enemy of Western nations. Even if they choose to not assimilate, really no one cares, they are free to live their lives that way even in Western nations. What IS the problem is Sharia law, and Muslims who move to Western nations and try to impose Sharia law. Sharia law is incompatible with freedom and Democracy. Sharia law is a political system wearing a veil of religion to hide behind.

Many of these people who support Sharia law don't give a fuck about you or your dialog and will take power by force if they are allowed. Unfortunately any time anyone points this out, there are endless cries of racism and bigotry and this discussion is never allowed to be had. If you think this problem can be solved only with dialog I suggest you take a trip to Somalia and have a dialog with the locals and report back your results. You are in a bubble of Western comfort that blinds you from the harsh realities of the rest of the world where they have no problem removing your head and selling your mother into sex slavery just because you do not worship their God. Unfortunately I think Europe is going to realize this too late.

This attack was carefully crafted to inflame both "sides" of this conflict. It is a mistake to look at the world as "if I were them I would do this..." because not everyone is like you, and some people wouldn't blink over disemboweling you in front of your family. Monsters are real, and asking them kindly not to be monsters is not a solution. That said this attack is inexcusable, and it would be equally inexcusable if it were perpetrated by a Muslim.

Nope, never been popped - whatever that means.  Just was offering a suggestion since I've watched you drop the price so much over time.  But you do you - won't bother you any more.

I made it clear your suggestion is not welcome, yet you continue posting anyway. Do you go into Wall-mart and pick up random shit and say "Nah, I don't want this, why are you selling it here?
