do you have any plans to offer payout in some other coin besides BTC due to major wallet issue, right now with BTC i may be forced to point my Script miners to LTC pools, so far no wallet issue or transaction issue with LTC , ZEC or ETH ... I mine all three coins and stopped mining BTC a while back when bitmain f it up for us , i do blame them ....

can i use either the ZEC or ETH  address to donate for a 3 month 10 Dollar plan for now , till I see how far you all go and how long you last .. which I hope is forever, I Like what i see and waiting for the Linux version so i can put my PI's to use for the monitor part under Linux if it works, that way .

in time , I will end up paying for the life time thing, but for now, I'll take it slow ..

why with ZEC or ETH less hassle using those coins so far no major wallet issue to deal with ..

Or even PayPal, I'll take a risk and send the cash as friends and family so there is no fee just be in the USA for the no fee .... or have a USA account ..
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: best wallet to use on: April 28, 2017, 05:37:27 PM
I'm using Bitcoin Core: 0.14.1 but it either takes to long to confirm even at a max fee set in the wallet at 2 blocks to confirm or i get below at any fee level I try ...and it never leaves my wallet ..
How long is Bitcoin Core open for before you make a transaction? It needs time to actually generate accurate fee estimates so you need to have it running beforehand before you can actually send with an accurate fee.

I have

deleted every thing, redid the whole wallets nodes that takes hours and it still works half ass and nothing like it used to ...

Since this transaction is not in the memory pool, you should be able to right click it and choose "Abandon transaction" then resend the transaction with a higher fee. Part of the problem with this transaction is likely that it did not propagate well, in additoin to having a low transaction fee. It is not in your node's mempool and I can't find it on any block explorer or in my own node.

The wallet is open for Hours, i like to help with the block chain when i can ( and why i run it on one of my PC ) . ..and i did Abandon transaction and reset it, now it shows Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool the same transaction it changed to in memory pool from not in and I used Abandon transaction and reset it, on two other transactions that were worse  ..that was just a example above of what been happening to me and it's getting annoying . so i convert any bitcoins to either ZEC or ETH less hassle ...I mine mostly eth or zec unless i use my Script miners , but may stop using CleverMining and nashhash due to wallet issues, unless they start offering in some other coin as payment.

IS there another wallet i can use that might work better .. i don't mine waiting if it actually sends .. not here really looking for help just some advice on what wallet would be best ...

and would buying a hardware wallet be a better pick .I've been mining btc or coins in general sense April 2014 ..and knew about BTC or coin mining before that but like every else at that time, thought it was BS ..

I guess what I am asking is what program or app are you guys using that allows you to remote into your Mining Rig's from other locations?
I am looking for something that is user friendly that will allow me to spread my miners out in the house to distribute the load on the Electric.
Also want to have the access to my miners if I am not home.

Thanks

hey

can anyone post some pictures of their final rigs with the rpi as a controller? im having problems with my controller boards constantly stop mining so im thinking of trying a rpi build.i cant help but think how messy this rpi conversion is. has anyone had any issues with the tiny pin cables coming off the mining boards?? any tidy solutions for the usb hub?? is it still on its own power supply??

thanks

Use these for the hash board end http://www.ebay.com/itm/322106053473?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT they come with a wire attached ... middle pin will all ways be open go to the start of this guide it explains it all ..  if you can't figure out how to hook the wires from the hash board to dongle i can help , try first ....

sorry did not notice ,there is another one it does have enough plugs, i have one two of them ..

this one runs both those PSU with more plugs and made by  Sidehack on the bitcoin part of the forums  and said he has a few in stock ..

https://asicpuppy.com/magentoPuppy/

sidehacks stuff or link to some of his stuff, may have to read thu it  btw he makes BTC miner for us on top of PSU  breakout boards has full PSU kits and does some hosting ..

I'm not trying sell anything  just making sure you all are a  ware of him ...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718358

Only downside to that one is the DL580 PSU needs 240V to make 1200W, it only makes 800W on 120V from my understanding.

They are 900w at 110v-120v

Thanks  i left that out, i have one of the 1200 watts ruining on a 110 line right now because the A4's are load and the room it is in has no 240 line which im about to have two put in and make my mining room it's kind of sound proofed and has one window so venting won't be a problem either .

yup they do hit 900 watts. on a 110 line but are not true Platinum Power Supply but are a lot better then the black socket one you can buy for 15 to 25 bucks...  and should run a L3 + with out issue on a 110, i would spend a extra 100 bucks if I had the room and it's house and have a 240 put in, there is a really big difference what you can do with a 240 line and be safe .
bitmain is just tiring to sell there PSU sense that's the only one they make ...
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 11, 2017, 09:47:53 PM
This seems like a very reasonable deal? Is there some hidden catch? Also, can anyone explain to me the $500 difference between buying first batch and second? It it simply because they think the difficulty will rise substantially following second batch? Just wondering. Thanks. Anyone have suggestions on hosting options? Cheesy

Yes of course there is a hidden catch...I was caught of guard as well by the price (lower than the original L3 at twice the hash power?). Its obvious bitmain is prepping to dump these on the market. Scrypt hash power will tripple in the next 2-3 months.

Don't forget that they are also taking advantage of the recent price hikes to make it look like this is a super deal. Dont think that this LTC price will last forever (though I hope I'm wrong).

The shipping date for April has already been sold out! don't understand why they cant just ship all of them out at the same time  Cry does anyone know what any other PSU I can use on the ant miner L3+ besides the APW3+-12-1600W?  ..

These two should work ok  with the L3 +

yes. you can trust bitmain ... to send it but GL with Support from my S5 days it was hell and got worse  ....I'll stay with Script mining Using A4 unless these turn out good so well see the price is good but it's bitmain .  and Gpu mining  and do just as good without the BS .

zoomhash uses bfg 4.31 i think  did you try bfg yet ?.

you can all ways buy a copy of pimp but ii won't boot a PI or usb stick  any more or i can't get it to, it only works on pc or laptops.

https://getpimp.org/products/pimp/
Yes, tried all the miner options in the pull down menu for Zeus, even with the guided and manual modes.
Ill give the suggestion above a try, although not 100% sure how to do the steps.

Im not familiar with pimp... If I can't get anywhere with Minera, the zoomhash image does work, but it's pretty crappy interface.

you got buy it for 30 bucks but it works with any GPU, script miner, and btc miners cgminer and bfg  supports and few other GPU software miners and takes a little learning and  why i didn't say any thing till now ...

Pimp is not for every one it works great once you learn it, i use it with my GPU farms and  also use http://ethosdistro.com/ but ethosdistro only works with GPUs ..

kind of why i never stayed with the zoomhash image it sucked and the one Zeus put out before they started ripping people off was worse ....

https://getminera.com/help  other wise no idea other then try BFG i just tried with my Tx6/thunder X6 it worked but with BFG and minera .

or with SSH try at the black screen...

cd /var/www/minera/minera-bin

-o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

Zeus Miner generic per device
--scrypt --scan-serial /dev/ttyUSB0 --zeus-chips X --zeus-clock Y -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

Zeus Miner Blizzard
--scrypt --scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-chips 6 --zeus-clock 330 -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

Zeus Miner Blizzard X6
--scrypt --scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-chips 24 --zeus-clock 245 -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

Zeus Miner Hurricane
--scrypt --scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-chips 64 --zeus-clock 330 -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

Zeus Miner Hurricane X2
--scrypt --scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-chips 48 --zeus-clock 330 -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass

IF this does work in SSH leave the black up then open mniera whiles it's running in your browser like you normally do  it should up then. ....

Quick question.  I have been using BFGMiner on Windows and was going to use it on my Linux rig running Ubuntu.  I ran the apt command on the website but am unable to find the miner after it grabbed it.  Where does one find the folder?

if installed and complied right in the root folder
Code:
cd /root/bfgminer

and if you do a

Code:
sudo make install

That does a full system install by that i mean it links bfg so it  needs no folder or you can type any in place on the PI you want without begin in the BFG folder and it should access BFG ... i have yet  to have any issue sense i started doing  it a few months ago but if you need to copy the BFG file with CP you have to be in the BFG folder or i had to be.. and it also does what this does below but with a more up to date BFG, I noticed ,,,

Code:
Ubuntu: apt-get install bfgminer

trying to configure this on rpi.. how do i fix this?

Code:
  CCLD     bfgminer
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libudev.so.0, needed by /usr/local/lib/libusb-1.0.so, may                           conflict with libudev.so.1
bfgminer-miner.o: In function `submit_upstream_work_request':
miner.c:(.text+0x20d4): undefined reference to `blkmk_submitm_jansson'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

what OS are you using ? . Ubuntu or Raspbian and what RPI ...

you can try below it might install libudev.so.1 right or look in the  /usr/lib folder there might be to many of some thing in there , it's been a long while sense Ive had that issue pop up after i stated using Ubuntu 16 'classic' server so I forgot what i did to fix it .

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/RaspberryPi

i don't care much for Snappy Ubuntu Core, I like using command lines like sudo apt-get update ... why i use Ubuntu 16 'classic' server

Code:
sudo apt-get -y install git build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config libcurl4-gnutls-dev libjansson-dev uthash-dev libncursesw5-dev libudev-dev libusb-1.0-0-dev libevent-dev libmicrohttpd-dev unzip screen

Hello! I install Minera on my Raspberry Pi and i love the possibility to control Minera from the web. I'm trying to mine Bitcoin using my gridseed mini with BFGMiner but i don't know what write in the option line. I try the default profile in the menu for thr gridseed and bfg and work when i mine scrypt currency but not with sha coins... Can help me? Also with the gridseed i can mine x11 coins? Thx!

I don't think bfgminer has support for that only for scrypt, so you should use Cgminer Dmaxl with something like this:

Code:
cgminer --sha256 -o stratum+tcp://pool-url:port -u user -p pass -o --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0,btc=16

BFG supports all most anything, it depends on the Hardware miner ...

by anything i mean GPU,scrypt miners and sha256 miners out the box you may need to compile some flags on ....like
Code:
--enable-scrypt
or for GPUs
Code:
--enable-opengl
, i think it is ...

CGMiner only supports BTC miners or sha256 miners unless some one adds there own support like  INNOSILICON does for there A4 and did for there A2 they no longer support or make ... and you have to get that CGminer version from them, unless CK adds it to the master which he won't unless it's a BTC miners or sha256 miners type not sure what X11 miners use Polly Sgminer... which should work with Minera if you put it in the custom folder and use the custom miners setting  the only thing i know that doesn't work to well is ZEC mining and ETH ...mining no API support. it may if you use a custom Sgminer in the custom folder and add your own stuff then link it
Luke will add support for BFG, if you donate the hardware miners you want support added for but ask him first or he used to .

I could really use some help here. Not sure what to do.
I have Minera and Zeus rigs. Cannot get Minera to see any miners or even pools.
All I get is a message about:
No pools data available.
No local devices found

Clearly I have pools defined when I go into config, so I have no idea why it sais there is no pool data. IT's right in front of me on the other screen.
Completely lost, been trying for 2 hours with 0 luck.

Ive tried all sequences of power cycling, just cannot see any miners or pools. Getting very frustrated.

is any software miner installed if there is no Software miner it will show no miners or pools, how was minera  installed ?

or do this at a SSH '

install or reinstall all the software miners :

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh all

ALL will install all the default software miners but you can use your own custom forks.

if you just need or want 1 or 2  software miner installed use below

to see a list of default miners minera uses

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh

for the CGMiner fork

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh cgminer-dmaxl

for BFG

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
./build_miner.sh bfgminer

if your using BFG with ZUES miners

I lift out chip and clock setting because, i don't know which ZEUS/GAW  miners your using .

Code:
--scrypt -S all -S zus:all --set zus:chips= --set zus:clock=

I don't care much for cgminer-dmax

so i can't really give any command line because i don't use it sorry .

if you use a  moded bios use

anything above 16.11.5  you have to patch the driver or use the stock bios .
