561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 25, 2023, 12:09:52 AM
NBA basketball is on TV tonight! It’s back baby!
I was so excited, but when I read the article about Bradley Beal (back) being unlikely to play in the opener against the Warriors, as per Shams, my excitement disappeared and turned into disappointment. This is so disappointing because some fans might say that if Bradley Beal had played, the Suns would have surely won in case the Warriors won. Since Bradley Beal will not play tonight, I'm going to pick the Warriors.

I’m not sure the Suns need Bradley Beal to beat the Warriors. However, I also don’t think the Suns have had enough time playing together to be able to beat a team with as much history playing together as Golden State. I really don’t know which way to bet this one, but I’m leaning towards the Suns. The Denver/LA matchup is another tricky one, but I’m leaning Denver.

I think Denver takes this one by double digits.  Think it's also going to come in with a low score.  Something like 112-100.  I think the over under is around 228.  I can see the Lakers coming out of the gate slow.  Lebron and crew get better as the year settles in.  Maybe I'm off but that's what I'm banking on.  Think the Suns game actually ends up being the game that comes down to the final minute.  Just hole we get some good games out of tonight.

They have a huge lead entering the 2nd quarter. It looks like the Lakers are still making some adjustments as they have a lot of new players in their roster trying to read the new plays. As usual Jokic started like just like year and with 10 points already.

Oh, that's too bad to hear that Beal is not going to play at the opener of this season. I guess everyone here is excited to see him with Phoenix and how he will blend with KD and Book. So we need to wait, and with that, I'm not surprised that the Warriors are favorite going into this game.

So Warriors -2.5 @1.88.

Now hackers are taking advantage again, with this so called giveaways to attract potential vicitims. And even uses the face of Dana White.
These are more like script kiddie scammers than hackers, well they do have much in common so its still count.

Maybe some of them started at a young age, at their parent's basement and then grow up to be that criminals, who knows. So doesn't matter if this looks like script kiddie scammers. They are just all the same in my eyes.

Hey! This domains now taken down  Smiley
Probably its only the hosting, later we will see it will be up again, or another similar domain with different numbers lol. But yeah, i hope people won't be tired reporting this shitty bastards to loss all their investments buying domains and hosting servers lmao.

It's good that this has been taken down already. At least the domain registrar works with this report. But I do agree that this will continue and hopefully there will be a lot of like the OP who will give us the warning and for all we know, we really care about this kind of members. They help sanitize the market and with the bull run just around the corner, this scammers are going to create more phishing websites for sure.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2023, 03:43:09 AM
Bad news for the Grizzlies just as the season is about to kick off. Their center Steven Adams is having knee surgery and will be out for the entire year. This is especially bad in my opinion because the Grizzlies have issues and Steven Adam’s is a great person with a lot of influence over his teammates and I think a big part of the reason he’s on that team is to keep Ja Morant in check.

I saw this news earlier and I feel bad for the big guy because he could been a big help to them because they needed him as their center, thankfully this is just the start of the season and they could easily fill that position right now. Or their bench players will have a chance to shine because they will be given more minutes right now. He will still be there giving support for the team on the bench and advising them always.

Isn't it though that he was injured from last season ago? correct me if I'm wrong that's why he was absent in the playoffs and most likely he was a big factor why they've lost their series? So I think he could have re-injured again, or this could be a different one, (again I'm just basing all from my memory, and it could be groin injury before). So if this is the case, they yes it's very bad news for the Grizzlies as they are trying to enter the picture in the West for this season as the last two where like for them to get that needed experience.

But they still have Jaren Jackson to be their man in the middle. However, the presence of Steven Adams will be a big plus factor for the team. I mean we all know how he did the dirty works specially in setting picks for Ja Morant and then the offensive rebounds. Surely he will be missed again at the start of the season.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thurman Vs Stanionis WBA world welterweight December 9 on: October 23, 2023, 03:30:53 AM
This is a 50:50 fight for me, but I think Thurman will prevail. Stanionis isn't a fighter of Keith's level. Even though Thurman is inactive, Stanionis is also inactive. Even though Thurman is much older than Stanionis, I don't see how the younger fighter's age advantage can defeat Thurman's vast experience.

Stanionis isn't special. He's not a rising star. Thurman on the other hand was once a star. He had the power and the skills. Although he's not anymore in his best of shape, neither is the young Stanionis.

Stanionis though is a belt holder at 147 lbs, WBC which him and obviously the unified champ Crawford hold as well. But we all know how f**k up boxing governing bodies as they have a lot of belts, interim, regular champion, etc etc.

So I don't think it's fair to say that he is not a rising star. In fact, he had a schedule fight with Spence back then, but it was not push thru because again, there's corruption and that's why we haven't seen mandatories being enforced by this body.

So yeah, it could be 50:50 as Thurman has a long lay-off, doesn't look good against Barrios although he won the fight. But Stanionis though is also coming from injuries that has been sideline him for a while.

565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 22, 2023, 09:07:17 PM
I have come to realize that our traditional local banks only really give out loans to persons, or organizations that are known either online or offline and has a location with documents to proof their existence.
Same goes for those who use loan apps. You have to at least identify with the verifications stressing on passport, state of residence, age, and the funny thing is that your device location will be required to be turned on while doing all this or even applying for the loan.

Not taking sides, but this is pretty much self explanatory, I mean traditional banks will ask you a proof of existence so that they will know if you have the ability to pay or not. As for the loaning apps, it's the same, but what I don't like about this loaning apps, is that majority of them are really going after you if you missed one payment and they will go to the lengths of embarrassing you in social money specially in Facebook.

I have no doubt my observation is applicable to even crypto currency lenders, because even these days the P2p system isn't as decentralized or anonymous as before where we think we were trading with bots or fake people/scammers.

P2P it's very hard, you really need to be very careful. Although there are platforms like Binance who has P2P features, it doesn't mean that it is safe. You still have to do your due diligence to check the accounts that you are going to deal with.

Is there any truth to the fact that an individual needs to be known in any place before they can qualify to receive loans?
That is, is the need to be known or identified really required to qualify for a loan?

For traditional banks and loaning apps? unfortunately yes. Even if you try to open a bank account, they will ask you a lot of documents and you will be forced to submit.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 22, 2023, 08:35:08 PM
Jack Catterall vs Jorge Linares, no knockdown happen, Jack did his best to score but Linares has avoided that knockout. So it's pretty much a chess game all throughout but Jack is clearly winning on points as his left hand always finds it's target.

So the score is all in favour of Catterall: 117-111, and 116-112.

We were expecting that Josh Taylor will give Catterall his chance for a rematch as a domestic rival. But we all know that Taylor chooses to fight Teo Lopez and he was dominated and lost his belt. So there's no more hype of a Catterall and Taylor rematch.

Here are the highlight of the fight, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDt17FsjfW4

He fought at old Linares, so it should be an easy fight for him. However, Linares didn't make it easy for Jack, although Catterall has the power with this left hand, (not surprised that he should have won against Josh Taylor back then, and why Taylor didn't give him a rematch). But Linares seems to be in the best shape of his life that's why he was able to stand up until the 12 rounds.

So let's give props to the old champ, but with this performance, he should retire for good. He was a good 2x champ back in the days, knock down Loma during their fight, wobbled Haney. But now he is no longer in his prime and time to hang up that gloves.

As for Catterall, Teo Lopez could be a good fight for him next, for a title fight in the US.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 22, 2023, 01:24:45 PM

In this sport, we all know that it's not impossible for the heavy favorite to lose the fight, just a single solid lucky punch that converts
Tapales road to win will take his name on top!

Upsets, that's what we call them, and they can happen in any combat sport, not just in boxing. Pacquiao wasn't always the favorite before he became a legend; he had to challenge and defeat formidable opponents to become the only eight-division world champion. So, it's entirely possible for Tapales, especially since he's putting in the hard work, trying to find Inoue's weaknesses and exploit them.

However, please take note that fans often base their expectations on past results, and Inoue, who is currently a top pound-for-pound boxer, is naturally expected to win. But remember, it's just an expectation.

Upsets do happen, but they're not a frequent occurrence. So, as a bettor, you'd usually pick the better fighter to win. However, when you're supporting your fellow countryman boxer, it's a different story. You might not objectively assess who the better fighter is, as your decision could be slightly biased.

Tapales has the history of making a upset though, like when he won against Akhmadaliev. So he really knows what it is going to be mentally going to the fight being a underdog and no one expects you to mean. So I think this is already a advantage for Tapales, at least his confidence is very high, and from what we read, he truly believes in himself that he can beat the Monster.

So it's just a matter on how he will execute, his team could have a perfect plan laid-out already, picks the right sparring partner, maybe someone of a big puncher and see how Tapales can absorb it because we all know how Inoue's power is. But even if they have a tight perfect plan, if Tapales can't execute it because Inoue is too good, then I don't know how Tapales can win here, just saying.
Did make out some search out of that fight which thanks for that: https://youtu.be/Zi7QVPbWZ90?t=734
So the fight did really end up with split decision which it isnt really that bad since there's no KO ending but still a win a win. Tapales would really be needing up to some changes
which i could say that he should be working up with his defense basing up on the fight observation but when it comes to power then it there but he should really be careful
with those Inoue's body blows because you would definitely be putting up yourself on danger if you do just neglect out or being that careless.

Upsets could really happen and i dont really remove the possibility but of course Inoue's team arent really that making those things to happen.
Both teams are really that in preparation on beating up and using up and taking advantage on whatever weaknesses that they do have.

It was a great fight by Tapales against Akhmadaliev. That time Tapales is the challenger but he sure acted like the champion and then dictates the fight in his own term. And then his strategy, it's not that bad though, I mean every time he will hit Akhmadaliev, he will go close to him and hug him which makes the impression to the judges that he is winning the round.

And that's why there are no KO, it was more of a chess match and it was Tapales who really executed their brilliant game plan. And Akhmadaliev wasn't able to adjust, although he has his moments, Tapales has gain momentum already that the judges give him the fight. But as you have said, there's still no blue print on how to beat Inoue as he doesn't have any weaknesses that Tapales might exploit.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 22, 2023, 11:18:22 AM
A few days of rest before the official start of the NBA regular season. So it seems like almost all of the teams are ready except for those rebuilding teams and the unstable Philadelphia 76ers who still have Harden but made a personal excuse to leave its training camp.

The start of the season always excites me as teams will try their best to start strong. It enables them to observe if they need some trades before the deadline and necessary adjustments.

As we've seen, Victor Wembanyama is NBA-ready and so is Chet Holmgren although the latter seems to have better teammates so the stats might favor the former. But it will be very interesting to see these 2 giant prospects.

Yeah, and they are going to fight for the Rookie of the Year award this season. Chet Holmgren didn't play last season, so this is his first year and so with that him and Wemby is vying for that title. But I guess the hype is no longer on Chet, and others says that he is overrated. But we will see. OKC is also featured a lot of young talents as well and I think as compare to the Spurs they are much better with SGA.

But I think Wemby will shine more just like what we are seeing in the pre-season games. He perhaps has given us a glimpse of what the future will be for him and the San Antonio Spurs. But assuming that both of them will be healthy this season? I think Wemby will have the edge for the ROTY award.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 09:04:31 PM
I've had my digital footprint already embedded over the internet, if people and ad agencies ever decided to reach out to me to talk about my car's extended warranty, they could and they would. That's why I don't really care that much for my privacy especially in the case of gambling sites asking for information so they can allow me to gamble. I would be more than happy to verify my existence and have the chance to gamble than be stingy about it and not be allowed to. There's also just something about casinos who ask for KYC, something along the lines of security cause you know they are really paying cause there's no way in hell they're going to spend that much money and effort to implement a KYC feature if they're going to dip on their customers.

And I think once you created an account in social media, for sure they have your digital footprints already and it's hard to erase it. I have seen my footprints even in the early 2000's still in the Internet, (remember Lycos)? So yeah, if we think about it, maybe some of us doesn't care about the KYC or privacy as everyone is already on the internet like 15-20 years ago and their data are still there no matter what. It's that recently, specially when bitcoin or crypto was introduce, we somewhat become aware that we should stay anonymous.

But it is what it is now, it has evolved, regulators wanted to know everyone, and they don't want someone to hide on the guise of being anonymous in crypto and then do bad things, (hacks, scams, money laundering and others). And even if you go to land base casinos, you may want to get a card and avail it so that you can get mileage points and use it later. So you fill up everything to them. In case that they are hack, then obviously, your data can also be leaked just like in online casinos or any other crypto related services.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inspiring Projects Shaping the Future on: October 21, 2023, 08:50:13 PM
I have a strong interest in innovation, pushing the limit of what is possible, and perhaps what the future holds. Regarding promoting gender diversity and inclusivity, I would definitely like to see more. I'm quite curious in the projects you come across where the use of cryptocurrencies has broken new grounds and motivated people to think outside the box. Which of the projects you've seen has inspired you the most and helped others to see and think beyond existing limitations?

We wouldn't have interesting in innovation? We are here to invest and see projects that we know could be the trend setter in the future? We've seen projects that affected the following industry or sector,

>> Health care
>> Real State ownership
>> Energy
>> IoT
>> Banking System
>> Remittances/Payment System
>> Game Play

And there could be more to come in the future, however, it case of promoting gender diversity, do we really need crypto based or blockchain projects for that? There are a lot of groups that has been advocating it, in my opinion.

With that, we will love to hear your thoughts on how we can used projects to promote that?

Or what will be the next biggest thing?
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 21, 2023, 08:08:04 PM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling. As it's in them. Most articles here also say things like gambling addiction being hereditary. That means gambling can be hereditary as well. Because I just watched from a distant two kids below 10 years, staking bets, after a long argument about who the artiste of a specific song is. They later staked close to 40 cents each, for the person who gets the answer right. Then they went ahead to verify. And I lost sight of them. I thought about, how come or who thought these kids about betting money during a long argument. I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans. Then, as a child, we weren't exposed to gambling. I could only remember of lotto, as a kid. But we still said things like "let's bet it"

It could be hereditary or it could be the influence of the environment. In 3rd world countries, gambling is proliferated because it's one way to win big money very quick and then you change your life for you and your family. But for Australia, it might be the same, I mean there's casinos and then when you open the TV you might see sports and then you think you might want to bet and win some money. And there could be cases that you are born in a family that gambles, whether your parents or your aunts or uncles and every gathering you hear them talking about their gambling activities.

So there could be a lot of sources of our gambling addictions and it's hard to pinpoint what is the exact reasons why individuals became addicted to it. And I do agree that it's very hard to stop it, unless the government is going to crack it down hard. But it will take a lot of time and effort and money to be able to do that. They are just putting measures to reduce it, but will not be able to 100% removed it from the society because it has been ingrain to us.

573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 07:42:24 PM
Speaking of the Warriors, Wemby had a pretty nice highlight tonight swatting Klay Thompson and then getting a monster dunk on a fast break the other way. It was impressive.
Like what people are saying on social media, is he an alien? A few more years and development of his muscle, he's gonna be an absolute beast inside the court.

Yeah he is. I think the Spurs tanking for the season last year has paid off. Though some people has doubt this kid's ability in the NBA, but I don't think he's a bust. With that height and skills he'd be unstoppable in the next 2-3 years.
Imagine buffing himself up just like how Giannis buffed himself, he'd definitely be unstoppable a little better than the freak of nature.
Now, the next step for the Spurs is to build a team around Wemby and surely they'll be back in the playoff picture again.

I don't think anyone is doubting Wembanyama's ability, he's got everything that is needed to thrive in the league, I believe what most people are saying, at least speaking for myself is that we can't expect a Jokic or Giannis-esque from him right from his first season, he's got a lot of potentials but it's not going to be a day work, Giannis and Jokic aren't were they are today by their first season.

Yes, no question about his talent, we've already seen that he can play good basketball and there's a lot of hype surrounding his name and he is living it. But we all know that talent alone is not enough. The GOAT himself in his early years in the Bulls was not smooth, and when he was about to have a break out run, the Pistons are there to stop him. And it's not anymore a mental thing, but physical. So he did go to the weight room and the rest is history.

Same with Jokic, he has to lose weight in the last 2-3 years to be able to play and move like we see him last year. And then Giannis too, in the beginning he as too skinny, but he was able to transformed his body and then improved his games. Wemby has the game already, but he also needs to get his body prime for a gruelling 80+ games a season.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto analysis: Will the price of Bitcoin go up soon after hitting a low point? on: October 20, 2023, 03:42:28 PM
Maybe the analyst failed to include the fake news that cointelegraph released and so it's pushes higher to $30 (although personally, I didn't see that price because of timezone difference). Nevertheless if we look at bitcoin's past historical logs, October seems to be a very positive month for us. And it seems though that the pattern are going to continue. So far the price is 29,540$.

I never thought that we can go as high as $29k this month. I mean it's going on sideway patterns for month. But suddenly it went into a sudden spike although the cause of it a fake news. Nevertheless, as I have said, it's ghost month and so it might be a lucky month for us again. And maybe in this pattern continues, we could go as high as $40k-$50k at the end of year. It will be a perfect price entering 2024 and then the block halving 3 months after.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2023, 03:28:47 PM
He needs to make it his team and use every opportunity to make them realize that they throw the wrong player out.
He couldn't have done that; the Warriors made a well-thought-out decision. If only Poole had a strong playoff performance last season, he probably wouldn't have been traded. Unfortunately, he showed the opposite of what he displayed during their championship run, and that left the team with no choice but to trade him.

It seems like both sides are content, and it appears to be a win-win situation.

A single season of bad performance in the playoffs is usually not a ground for a team to trade or let go of someone they believe is a potential. There should be something not told in public by the Warriors' management. Or it could be that they saw CP3 as a golden opportunity more than Poole hence the trade.

Fans are divided on the trade but it is what it is. This is a blessing in disguise for Poole to show what he is as a player since the Wizards do not have a superstar. We'll find out soon if he is a superstar potential or just a support type of player.

It's no secret, Poole and green literally got into a punching match.  Klay steph and draymond are tight it just wasn't going to work.  And on top of it you can't pay everyone so Poole was the odd man out.  Golden state thrives on chemistry.  Fit in with those 3 or see your way to the door.

And as much as the Warriors wanted Poole to be part of their core, it's an obvious choice that he is the odd man amongst the big 3 of the Warriors. At least though Poole has a ring and help the Warriors win one when no one expect them to win another championship specially after Durant left and everything was on Curry's shoulder that's why he was so emotional after winning their 4th championship.

But the love story has to end there when Green and Poole got into a punching match during their practice if I'm not mistaken. But it seems that everyone has adjusted already, Poole already embraced by the Wizards and even Kuzma is saying all praises for his new team mates and says that the Warriors might have misunderstood the personality of Jordan Poole.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 20, 2023, 03:04:34 AM
I have made it a point to not gamble that much, and to stop my sessions after incurring at least 3 losses or 3 wins. Stopping at 3 losses means I get to still keep a significant amount of my bankroll, while also preserving my mental for another gambling session next day (if I still feel like it), and 3 wins would more than often lock in whatever I have already earned so I end the day with a net profit. It took a few months of discipline cause I did this back when I was also in the process of recovering from gambling addiction, but boy do I tell you things were so different and nicer when I was able to actually control my gambling urges. I don't stress out anymore, I am way happier, and at the same time I don't lose that much money in gambling anymore.

Good strategy, but I don't think that is gambling per se, I mean you could be gambling for fun or what not, but after just let's say 3 spins on a dice or in a roulette you will suddenly stop and quit? Anyhow, it might work for you as it seems that you are not that really into gambling. But for some, it really hard just to deal 3 cards in a deck in black jack or baccarat and then quit.

But in any case that I experience a big win, I will have to think very hard whether to continue or not. Most of the time like after a hour or two of gambling in a land base casinos and I'm winning, I maybe will have to cash out my winnings, even if it just as little as $100. Because I know that it's hard to get a win and as you go on a long sessions, the chances of you losing are increasing as well.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2023, 02:01:00 AM
I do not understand why people currently have an idea of thinking that the people who got accused are criminals before being proven. Yes, he got accused that he had paid to remove a loss from his carrier. But I don't think that has been proven yet. And until it gets proven, I don't think there is any reason to say that he actually did it. As far as I know, Everyone in the West believes in innocent until proven guilty right? So let's give him a chance, and if it actually gets proven, people can talk trash about him. Otherwise, there is no reason for people to actually say all these things about him. Because his image is going to get tarnished even if he is not guilty.
That's true.
And Regis Prograis is not even telling where he got the information or if he has the proof to say so. He wants Devin Haney to do it himself and plead guilty in public. I doubt that will happen. There's a chance Prograis is just creating this story and how I wish Haney can come back to him and sue him with something else because of humiliation or like you say, tarnishing his name. Libel.

This is actually one problem with social media today, they will easily believe what rumors are coming out without even researching the root of it and facts if it is true. "Judge first, proofs later. If they are wrong, say sorry." That's the kind of new tradition that is happening now and this ain't actually the first time.
One reason that I see why they do this is the marketing strategy. Put someone's name in the trend and you will trend too, then they will sell more tickets and PPV in the future.
Their fight is two months away, they better make more ruckus if the tickets are not sold out yet.

Yeah, first of all, I do not want anyone to actually believe this 'trust me bro' level of source. If you are making such a big scene by saying something which is going to affect the career of a man a lot, you should definitely make sure that the source is really good. But in this case all we got is just like I said, trust me bro. honestly, that is never good enough. You are trying to almost kill the career of a player. And you don't have even given a proper source. If anything, the burden of proof should still be on him because he is the one who has spread the news. But I think we all know that it is not what will happen.

I don't think that it will kill the career of Haney though, in the promotion leading up to a fight, there will be a lot of trash talking, and it could be very personal for some boxers or they attack their opponent personally to get inside their head, this is called "psyche war". So if you are the receiving end, like in this case, Devin Haney, it's either it will go in your mind or just let it go and focus on the fight.

Otherwise if you are affected psychologically, then you might have lost the fight already because it will go inside your mind. So in Haney's case, he is just laughing it out. As for Regis, it's a good strategy to come up with this kind of accusations, with or without proved.

No matter the amount of information you receive on this forum, if you don't practice and work on having a first-hand experience, you won't understand much.

Experience is key in everything we do and it plays a huge role in determining how successful we will become in that field.

Experienced traders know when to buy when to sell, and when to hodl. They also know how to manage any fluctuation in the market, This helps them to minimize losses and guides them to take reasonable risk.

As you choose either to trade, mine, or do what works best for you, don't forget to learn the fundamentals and apply them correctly. also learn how to start small and gradually, you learn on the job and with time your experience level should have grown and you can now start making a reasonably calculated risk.

Of course, as what the saying goes, experience is the best teacher. And that's not just the key here in crypto but in life though. That's why we all know that let's say falling for a scam is very annoying. But when you experienced it first hand, you will understand how you fell to the scammers trap and so you make yourself battle tested already and for sure you are not going to be scam again.

I'm not saying that everyone should be scammed or what to get that feeling and experience. But what I'm just saying if in the beginning, like myself, we was a victim of bitcoin doubler way back, it really made me what I'm today in crypto, not trusting anyone, and then the so good to be true offer, that is a red flag that it is a scam.

I believe that parents should not forbid gambling but explain to the child that the price of gambling is very high and they will have to face the loss of what they value. The child should realize that the chances of losing what he already has a little higher than the chances of gaining something. In my opinion, before risking anything you have to learn how to earn and it is really important for children to understand this.

Finally a flash of light in this topic. Instead of hiding, forbidding and banning a parent must teach, show and tell consequences about various things. The rule "I am your parent, I know what is better for your" does not apply anymore in the modern world. We must let the kids have their own life, not to copy ours. I mean how can the understand that gambling is bad (like many here say, even though they wear gambling signatures) and it might raise addiction, if they never saw what it is? It destroys kids vision of the world. Ok, I will never gamble in front of a kid because it is bad, but what should I tell if one day the kid sees me gambling? The kid will either see his parent doing bad thing or will realise that the parent lied to him. Both scenarios are bad.

I guess everyone is very different opinion though, it's different if you tell your kids what the consequences are. Just ask the question to your self, did your parent teach you as well the bad side or gambling?

When I was growing up, I'm seeing my father gamble, yes he bet in front of me on horse racing. But he didn't teach me anything. Until when I grow up and take up gambling myself. So yeah he could be the influence in my life, but I never learn anything from him. It is myself who discover gambling and what it can bring to someone and so I will not tell my children about it or even shows that I'm gambling, just saying.

Of course it will stop, because in a marriage relationship there must be a commitment that must be mutually agreed upon, there are no lies to cover up, so if one partner can accept his partner gambling then he will be lucky but don't gamble carelessly. This means, don't gamble too much so that your partner doesn't experience disappointment. Take advantage of the opportunity to get permission from your partner by gambling well and correctly, by placing small bets and just for entertainment in your free time, because the most important thing is your partner's happiness.
It is very important for us to try and keep our gambling lifestyle oru habit to ourselves. It is unprofessional for us to allow our family or wife to find out that we have this gambling lifestyle which can be very discouraging to them especially if we are spending too much money and always complaining that we don't have money with us. Women always see through things and the way they interpret things can be very different from the males entirely. Gambling need to be secretive and we need to make sure that people we value a lot do not have knowledge about our gambling lifestyle.
Good luck hiding your gambling habit from future wife. She is your wife not coworker that will never see what you are doing at home in leisure time.

It's obviously you are in the dilemma, and I think it depends on why your wife or husband are asking you to do quit gambling.

- you prioritized gambling
- you life is ruined, not just the both of you, but your kids as well

So in this case, your wife/husband has every right to ask you and if you didn't then for sure there will be divorce. So it's really up to you to answer that question. But if I'm in that situation and I still do love my wife or husband, then I might try as hard as I can to quit to salvage our marriage. You also have to see where the other party is coming from and not just you or your gambling activity. Because gambling as well is one cause of divorce and then your kids are going to suffer.
