621  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova is closing? on: October 30, 2017, 05:02:55 PM
It seems to be on 2018-04-01. I suggest you withdraw as soon as possible from the platform, like month before or so. However they are only closing the site temporarily so because someone else will take over the exchange, and i hope they will make it more professional  and  improve.
However i find it pretty unfortunate, since novaexchange to this date was one of the best exchanges. However we still seem to have few months left to trade on their platform.

This is just a way to downplay the entire situation and that is what is called damage control nobody is coming to take over the site with the outline of dates I read there, its obvious they are going for good and there is nothing to be done about it. Changing ownership is not enough to do all of those things listed there when businesses changes owners the only thing the customers needs to be aware of is the change in the structure and a commitment that their fund is safe with promise of more quality service not anything close to this. Its a complete shut down
622  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 30, 2017, 04:30:58 PM
I am just a little above 1 year in the crypto industry and I can attest to the amount of earnings I have been able to make as per several activities I am involved in from gambling to trading to bounties and the likes although not enough to list me in the league of extra ordinary men but its still something and if you as an individual for a whole year could not get an headway, then the best advice is to try something else because it then means crypto is not meant for you and your time is better spent on other productive things.

624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Good Solution Of Too Much Greed In Trading ? on: October 30, 2017, 01:15:44 PM
I Am New At Trading Some Of My Trades Actually fail because of too much Greed is there anyway how to determine how to stop ? and avoid this Greed Emotion Sad  Huh Huh

The fist step to problem solution is identifying there is a problem which you have done. Times without number I have fallen into this which is either selling too late or selling too early but the way out is just to set your mind that whatever happen afterwards is not my concern or you don't want to check on the price of what you sold the previous day because without that, you tend to start feeling either you made a mistake or you are actually smart. But believing its all in the past is a way to move forward.
625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Will You Do If You Are Trap On A SHIT Coin ? Or Low Volume Coin on: October 30, 2017, 10:03:18 AM
Huh Huh This Past Day I was Trap At SW Coin or Sky Way Coin is there any possibilities of holding it ?

You are trapped you are trapped. In every trading decision there is always the chance of making mistake at one point or the other. I have my own experience to and you don't expect to be at all times make the right decision. In my own case what I am going to do is to wait a few more days to see how things will turn out if its still the same, I am dumping count my losses, take it as a lesson and move on. The main reason being that as an individual, you can't solely determine the market direction.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and TOP alts price action. on: October 30, 2017, 05:17:19 AM
The last part of the analysis caught my attention and that is concerning the prediction of btc because currently, the price is tilting towards that direction which is one plus for you but looking at the time the post was made, its possible that the trend had been seen before you make the costs which is obvious anyone would have seen that coming without having to rely on some report of some sort. The bone of contention is to only put what you can afford to lose or you won't need shot term because that is only what can guarantee a peaceful sleep in case things goes sideways.
627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make money if bitcoin/altcoin prices keep falling? on: October 29, 2017, 08:58:17 PM
I don't know much about stocks but i know that in stocks if you think certain stocks will fall, you can short them and make money.  However with bitcoin/altcoin, can you short or is that not possible?  Also isn't it true shorting is very dangerous because you can lose a lot more shorting than investing in bitcoin/altcoin?

I know when prices drop, that is when you want to buy because you want to buy low and sell high.  So what would be the strategy if bitcoin/altcoin stays the same or keeps dropping etc?  Thus its all red and stays that way?  Of course you could buy... then wait till it goes back up and sell to make profit.  But you don't know how long that would that or it could possibly not and keep going down etc.  I understand that if you want to daytrade, well you buy it at certain price then sell at certain price to lock in profit.  Thus if prices go higher and you bought earlier, you will make profit if you sell.  But besides buying the coin at low prices, you aren't making any money at the moment.

So what do daytraders do then?  Thus daytraders are on the computer looking at the markets all the time etc.  So if everything keeps going down, how do they make money?  If prices keep dropping for a long time, then there is no money to be made right?  Or is there?  Because what do daytraders do if the market prices keep going down etc?  Sure you can buy a lot of coins at cheap prices but you don't know how long it would take to go back up etc.

In a situation when price keeps dropping when you buy, its obvious that is a loss position and there is nothing you can do about it because you know the risk of what you are entering into to have put money into it. But the way you react is what you can do something about which is either cutting your losses and take more risk which might turn out to be the best one. In the crypto trading, we are used to increase in price and one week of wait is always too week for us. But when you can wait, then it could eventually paid off.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow BTC steadily or safely? on: October 29, 2017, 08:18:54 PM
As we all know that the crypto market can be very volatile and surely we heard many making huge profits while there are also people that lose a lot of money without knowing much about what is happening. Would like to ask for good proven methods or suggestions that can allow us to grow BTC steadily or safely.

*For me it is my first time going into investment and I'm glad crypto is the first one I got into since this year July. Did real-life trading and started small and made some profits. Would like to hear more from the pros out there for more suggestions or methods which I may not know. Thanks guys!

The surest way is what you have mentioned because slow and steady, you can then increase the value of your  wallet in terms of the amount of bitcoin you own. But another way to try is to lay hands on some key skills that is in demand in the cryto world capitalise on it, make an expert out of it and that will even make the money come in faster and the building of trust will then not only increase your client base but makes one a relevant member of the community.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold Fork just costs Bitcoin $5B! on: October 29, 2017, 07:55:55 PM
Bitcoin Gold forked Bitcoin today.  The current price of Bitcoin is $5700.  Dropped from $6200 couple days ago.

Bitcoin Gold is endangering Bitcoin in at least 2 ways - 1. It does not have a replay protection and 2. It causes confusion to new potential Bitcoin investors.

It costs the whole Bitcoin community $5B.  Angry

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-24/bitcoin-retreats-as-another-offshoot-of-cryptocurrency-appears
 - Bitcoin Gold’s arrival pushes spot price down as much as 5.9%

All this disruptions or distractions I see as something ephemeral because whether we like it or not, the market price of bitcoin is volatile and every major event needs to be responded to which will take its effect on the price of the matter of discussion. If the price of BTG cause the price to crash, do we also forget the reason why the price went that high to $6200 was largely due to impending BTG which a lot of people try to hoard the ones they have to get more bonus. But everything is still ephemeral.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon is not a man of his words! on: October 29, 2017, 05:48:25 PM
This guy has gone total insane over Bitcoins by trying to criticize Bitcoins giving so many negatively publicized statements, one of which was this recent one: ‘Stupid’ Bitcoin Buyers Will Pay the Price." So, we're stupid enough eh!?
I salute to this guy who looks too much scared about his empire and ending era of his fear over people being a complete mafia in the world of trading. A person who used to influence markets too much, is extremely "stupid" enough IMHO as he is just helping Bitcoins way too much by commenting over it. I am glad he is saying all this to Bitcoins and thank him to carry over the bullshit. Well, what comes to my mind first when I see his comments nowadays is that this guy must be doing something shady behind like investing himself in Bitcoins and making a fool of everyone by asking them to drop their idea of putting their money in Bitcoins to buy the dips. What's on your mind about this?

Its high time we put the matter of discussing this man behind us and everything that have to do with his comment. When you keep on creating a thread to either criticise or analyse what he has said, you are not only doing that but also making him famous because someone who has not heard about him before will want to Google more about him and that's making him relevant and not good for bitcoin for whatever reason.
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we explain that the bitcoins is not a scam on: October 29, 2017, 07:47:40 AM
This is one of the simplest thing to explain to anyone because even without bitcoin, the moment you are greedy, you cab easily get scammed and the same thing applies to bitcoin. Never be too greedy. The moment the explanation is sounded live and direct to anybody coming into bitcoin you don't even need tonbother yourself because one thing is that you cannot control the behavior of everybody but you can control your own response to whatever you see.
632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tricky Question, Sell BTC and buy Altcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 11:49:46 AM
It is  a good time for Crypto Land, we are on the moon,.... and even better.
When we have to sell Bitcoin and buy Altcoin?
Forking makes your Bitcoin higher,
so I can sell it.

These extra money can be used to buy (cheap) altcoins,... anyone has suggestion when do I have to start to buy it?

It actually going to be on the basis of where you have your allegiance. While some people will hold the believe that this is the time to buy altcoin, others will prefer to stick and hold their coins. In my own case, I would prefer to not sell all bitcoin for the sake of alt coin rather, I would spread my risk to ensure that I don't lose out on both ends and at the same time be more careful about the choice of investments in alt coins because as they could return profit quickly, they could also return losses as well.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Step by Step How to Claim Your Bitcoin Cash Balance and Exchange into Bitcoins on: October 25, 2017, 10:27:06 AM
This information would have been the best one if it had come out like 2 months ago because I read everything and I must say, its very explanatory. The one that is in need now is concerning Bitcoin Gold which I personally is waiting for. Also, as a note of warning for those who might want to just claim their BCH, its better to download those software from their individual official sites in other to avoid the story of getting infected or compromise software by clicking on the link provided by Op.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] || 💰 💰 DraftCoins - Portfolio Competitions- $10000 in PRIZES💰💰 || on: October 25, 2017, 09:13:00 AM
I must admit this is a kind of project I am seeing for the first time and I would appreciate an understanding of what its all about. Is it going to be a game? Are we all going to participate? How is the winner going to be determined? The winning prize, how is it going to come about? These are questions I would really want answers to because the OP is not explanatory enough to clear lots of this issues.

Great questions and thank you for your interest.  Draftcoins is a game where users select crypto assets and then win prizes based on the performance of those assets.  No real money is needed as this is a game.  There is no fee to enter, it is completely free!  The users with the best performing portfolios (based on percentage gain) over a period of time (daily, weekly and monthly) will be awarded prizes - details coming soon to the Draftcoins site.

Draftcoins is powered by Totle and the simple user interface will be the same experience when "real" live trading opens in January for our platform.

Good Luck!

Thank you for your response it has to a large extent clarifies my curiosity and I would definitely be part of this when it is opened for public. But I still have a question. Pending the time that we will be able to enter with funds because you said it will be free to enter now, will the prize also be free, or we will have to pay something to take part in the challenge?
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTC Gold on Bittrex? on: October 25, 2017, 08:30:42 AM
There have been several confusions about this BTG and in my opinion, its going to cause more damage. I don't even know whether its has been forked already yet its being traded on an exchange site while the official site is saying on the 25th. Its just true that the rich will continue to get richer by the time every major wallets providers are ready for BTG the rich would have cash out while the rest of the majority will scramble for the remaining. This is a confusion of the highest order.
636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market will fall today, how to predict?? on: October 25, 2017, 06:10:33 AM
Its expected that price will fall after the fork and its even expected to fall further reason being that a lot of people have not been able to claim their airdrop and when that happen they are dumping a portion or all of what they have gathered prior to the fork episode. So, that's my prediction but its not as a result of panic selling or not believing in bitcoin, its just what is expected to happen at this time.
637  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: October 24, 2017, 01:51:01 PM
Hi guys, I just want to know your views and opinion about the difference in Electronic Money (Bitcoin and others) and the Physical Money. Many people now a days are still confuse about the existence of the Bitcoin and how it differ from our Physical Money that we are using to buy necessity. I hope we could share and learn from each other.  Wink Smiley

If you are looking at the medium of exchange aspect of bitcoin, then I don't see any difference between it and the physical money because they are used to purchased basic items. But the difference here is that while the physical can be spent directly, the case of bitcoin needs to still be converted to fiat and the reason is just because of bitcoin not accepted as the legal tender yet. On the confusion of people about bitcoin, its because of the lack of knowledge which is what is creating the gap as there is no confusion at all.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Saudi's Prince Statement on: October 24, 2017, 11:27:04 AM
What can you say about Prince  Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia's  statement that bitcoin will collapse like Enron? Do you guys think that it will a significant value on the prices?

He is an individual who has his sole right to express his opinion on tropical issues to show he is current with happenings around the world and that does not mean he must show support for bitcoin. He said his own and that's it. It still does not change anything even though his popularity over there is legendary, it does not spread all over the world. Even when the president of World Bank made her own statement, it still does not change anything why would a Prince statement matter at all?
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friend gives wallet seed to stranger and bitcoins disappear from his wallet on: October 24, 2017, 10:44:54 AM

A friend who asked for instructions on how to use certain features of his wallet, was apparently tricked into divulging his seed to a stranger, and now his 2.6 btc are missing from the wallet, and so is the stranger. Does he have any recourse?

For someone who was able to have 2.6 btc in his wallet and not understanding the basic security that even a newbie with even few satoshis know about. I therefore have nothing to say to your friend because losing your seed or private key is more or less losing the whole wallet itself. Its then serve as a lesson for everyone to be more careful in doing our transaction and the amount of information we want to divulge but for a stranger, its definitely out of it entirely.
640  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: October 24, 2017, 10:00:44 AM
The legality of bitcoin depends on who you are, and what you’re doing with it.

There are three main categories of bitcoin stakeholder. Someone may fall under more than one of these categories, and each category has its own legal considerations.

I was hoping to read about the three categories with the relevant explanations as well but unfortunately I am not getting that part but the fact still remains that anywhere you are, you can still use bitcoin even in the United States where some service providers are not extending their services, there is still room to trade in bitcoin, earn it and convert it to cash, but the issue is on the encumbrances one will have to face in doing it the right way in that place compared to other parts of the world where a simple chat on a platform could make the cash land in your bank account in matter of minutes.
