641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 10:30:04 AM
There's nothing wrong with flexing your win, especially with odds of 100.00. That's for sure a very lucky bet for you, man, something you should be happy about. Personally, if I had won with those kinds of odds, I would do the same, as that would somehow give me satisfaction. After all, us gamblers do not win all the time; in fact, we lose most of the time, that's a fact.

Not only that, it's hard to get that 100.00 odds. I have tried to bet on that kind of big odds myself, and I will say that I'm not that lucky like the OP, so he has something to flex here with that big odds.

And if I also remember, there is this one dude as well who win that kind of odds before, forget what thread it is, but I think he bet big that time so it's really like worth a thousands of dollars. In any case, congrats to the OP, again very lucky that you indeed got 100.00 odds, I experience that kind of win though, but it was not in sports betting, but if the lightning roulette if you guys are familiar with that.
642  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 27, 2023, 09:51:13 PM
^  The guys who want further down side are the ones who are prolly mostly sidelined with most of their bankroll still in stables.  I was kinda thinking 25k would've broken down by now after seeing how the US stock market is being pummeled.  But it seems like crypto doesn't care what happens during US session these days.

And speaking of which...  Looks like BTC came alive for no reason.  Lol.  Good to see it tho.  Hopefully it gathers enough momentum to break out 28k around the first couple of weeks of October.  It's due for a long green one for the month.

Just a bit of push though, I thought in the last 8 hours that we could have broken $27k, but it's not meant to be. But I do not think that it's a mental barrier though. Couple of days at the end of the month? who knows?

But I guess almost everyone see this coming, price still moving sideways with no break out run. So we will see what October brings or at least this end of the year. My prediction of around $40k at the end of 2023 might not be hit though.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 27, 2023, 04:51:28 AM
And, hopefully if ever Casimero will have that chance to meet Inoue inside the ring, he will show something that will hype his
name, more on the side where opportunity might open up for after this upcoming fight.

Though i'm a fan of Casimero but i think he will lose to Inoue if ever they will meet in the future. Casimero has power, we knew that but Inoue has a granite chin, we saw that when he fought Donaire, though his jaw was broken but still he stood standing and finished the fight gallantly.

But Inoue vs Casimero will be interesting to ordinary fans and tickets might sell like hotcakes if Quadro Alas would start opening his mount and taunt Inoue.
Regardless of us being a fan though of Casimero, we still wanted to see if he can back up all his talks about Inoue. I mean he is a trash talking, very uncanny for a Filipino boxer. But I guess that's what his personality is, and again, I follow his social media accounts and it seems that he is also helping back his community with the money he earn from boxing and help his family.

Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised if he taunt Inoue again after he wins his fight again Oguni, specially if it will be in spectacular fashion like a knockout win because that will boost his confidence againt call out Inoue for a showdown.

Boxing is a business, and no matter how good a boxer is, if he doesn't know how to market a fight and promote himself, promoters may be hesitant to keep him in the spotlight. Casimero understands that Inoue is his best chance to become a popular boxer, so he is doing everything he can to gain Inoue's attention, hoping that one day Inoue's camp will sign a contract for a fight. Casimero might have a rougher journey compared to Inoue, but we have to admit that he is the closest rival to Inoue right now, and people see that as the reason they are supporting Casimero with his taunting style.

For now, yes, we can say that he could be the best bet for us to beat Inoue, and obviously, they haven't face so we can say that. But before Casimero, the same was said by Fulton himself and thinks he can just manhandled Inoue at super bantamweight as he is the champion and he has beaten a lot of great boxers in the past and hasn't lost yet, and he is still improving from what I seen.

But Inoue proved how great he is. Although we can say that Fulton is not a knockout artist or doesn't have that power as compare to Casimero. So still a great fight if we will ever see this two in top of the ring and see if Casimero has what it takes and do the thing that other boxers failed, that is to beat Inoue.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 27, 2023, 04:06:38 AM
I read that this is the 4 fighters that Inoue wanted to face before moving up in division,

1. 🇵🇭 Marlon Tapales - This November
2. 🇵🇭 John Riel Casimero
3. 🇲🇽Luis Nery
4. 🇺🇿MJ Akhmadaliev

Can we have an official source to these? As far as Inoue is concerned, he is not a type of boxer that target a certain boxer in terms of he really want that to be his opponent. Marlon Tapales isn't on Inoue's radar but since the Pinoy boxer got the championship belt, then he needs to fight him as that was a mandatory to become the undisputed champion in the Super Bantamweight Division.

Maybe that list is those who wants to face Inoue instead and try to keep the monster at the Super Bantamweight for the meantime.

Luis Nery is honestly just full of talks. He won't stand a chance against Inoue. On the list, it's really John Riel Casimero as a better opponent for him although even I will support Quadro Alas here, Inoue is seems to be the better fight over him. Casimero have a hard time dominating the unranked boxer he faced on his last fight. If that performance will be applied against Inoue, it's a clear win already for the Japanese.

As I have said, i read it from a Twitter account, I'll try to get back and see which account it is. But regardless though, do you think that it's logical for Inoue to face this boxer if he decided to stay at this division? Tapales could be not in his radar initially, but since he upset Akhmadaliev then it makes sense for Inoue to go after him and they have a supposedly fight this November (but no official word yet).

For the others, Casimero is improving his rank in the super bantamweight and many fans wanted to see if he can test Inoue because that's what he claim. And then Luis Nery, although ban in Japan, is still a good fighter in this division. And then the man that Tapales beat, Akhmadaliev, is for me another great boxer that Inoue can fight before to the Featherweight division.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 27, 2023, 03:49:42 AM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport.

Yes, it's very prevalent now a days, not just on TV though, it's on mobile phones, on the internet. And we all know that in this age, every kid in the world has access t to least one if all.

How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

It's very different to answer, because we are not on our kids 24x7 and as much as we want to see what they are watching or seeing in those gadgets, sooner or later they will have to encounter it and maybe some of them are curious about it. So I guess that best thing to do as parent is just somewhat be on the lookout, maybe from time to time check their gadgets for something unusual. If they ask about it, then explain to them that they shouldn't be involving themselves at the young age about gambling. So it's about our responsibility as a parent or guardian to our kids and children.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2023, 03:33:02 AM
Even if a team on the west manages to beat Denver this year, which could be done because most teams are not three peat type of teams and just win it once (look at bucks for example) but that doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with East teams just letting whoever is the new west team to win that easily. If Suns ends up going to finals this year, they would still have to play against the team from the east and they may end up losing that as well, so its never guaranteed. I am hoping that it would be good to see a bunch of teams trying to end up good, its not good to have bad parity and just good teams at the top, 1-2 good teams and rest sucks would be terrible.

Yeah the east is getting better and at anytime the power can shift from the west back to the east and vice versa.  Who knows who is gonna have a breakout year or what these young guys are gonna do from one year to the next.  Anything could happen especially injuries which unfortunately shapes the league every year.

And if I'm not mistaken, it was supposedly the East that should dominate last season, with Giannis had a good run with the Bucks in the regular games. And also Boston Celtics, who has the formidable duo of Tatum and Brown and then former Celtic defensive specialist in Marcus Smart. And then the Sixers with Joel winning the MVP and James Harden at the helm.

But the Nuggets has total different mentally in the West. They take the lead, the Suns, Warriors and the Lakers falter with injuries and it seems the focus that time is Lebron breaking Kareem's record. So let's see if the East can bounce back again and win the NBA trophy for this season to even up.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 25, 2023, 10:14:58 AM
The problem is some casino use the none KYC casino word that's why there are people think that they are safe here because this casino doesn't require them a lot of requirements.
Why would anyone think that a casino is safe and trusted just because they don't ask their customers to verify their identity? Sure, it's a plus especially for those who value their privacy but it has nothing to do with safety or trustworthiness.
Besides, personally I don't believe anyone who claims that his casino never ask for kyc be it licensed or not. I witnessed many of those claims and after a while some of their customers start complaining about being requested to verify their identities. Sure, some of them are more lenient than the others but not to the extent to say they will never do it.

Or maybe this kind of casinos are taking advantage of the gamblers, who thought that they are safe with no KYC and then continue to deposit and play. It's good for the casino if they continue to lose in the long run.

But once this gamblers won and won big, then it's that time when suddenly might suddenly ask for KYC because of their big win and so the gamblers are going to be frustrated by it because they thought its a no-KYC.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2023, 10:02:07 AM

Wow that's pretty cool you saw him play in Taiwan?  Did you see any other former NBA players when you went to watch? We rarely hear about where x-NBA players go to play after the NBA.  I honestly had no idea that he was playing Taiwan.  Every once in a while I hear about an x-NBA player playing overseas and always suprised about it.

I bet he wat still fun to watch no?
Dwight has a lot of memes on twitter about him playing in Taiwan during the last Playoffs since he is the only one that stop Joker during his time on Lakers before while Nuggets dominates Lakers on the last playoff with no one can guard Jokic.

He is having the best time of his career on Taiwan since he dominates the game there. I think is he the only popular NBA player playing in Taiwanand the rest is on China and other lower asia league.

I think you are right I'm not sure if there is any other big time players playing over there right now.  Honestly I haven't even been watching, what was his stats while he was over there?  I can't see him not dominating the paint in that league.  I don't have hate against the guy it's just he is a 37 year old big man who bangs down low.  His carrier is pretty much done at this point.

Pretty much the case with Carmelo as well, I mean we still wanted to see him play, he was given that chance by the Lakers, but it was obvious that he is no longer in his prime. And so as much as his mind wanted to play, his body is not cooperating.

And with the case of Howard, he had a good time in Taiwan, numbers are good and yet his team failed. Perhaps the Warriors really didn't see him adding any value on a already experience team and he could be detrimental if he still had that attitude from time to time.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 25, 2023, 09:41:07 AM
This upcoming Saturday will be an exciting moment in boxing again.

Canelo Alvarez versus Jermell Charlo (12 rounds) Super Middleweight Champion Title.
When: September 30 - 8:00 PM
Where: Las Vegas - T-Mobile Arena
PPV: Showtime

I really wanted to see Canelo win this fight and wait for Crawford to climb weight and have a huge match of the decade against him in the US. That would be one of the greatest achievements ever recorded in boxing history if Crawford managed to defeat Canelo. Because many have speculated that's not possible because Canelo is too much for him. therefore, if he proves them wrong, then he will earn the best of all boxers in his time. By the way, he also needs to beat Spence again in order for this fight to have a high chance of happening.

He will still be the crowd favorite, and that's why he was called the cash cow because he can bring fans to the sit and watch his fight. Although is opponent is also a unified titleist if I'm not mistaken, but it was 2 division down.

And so if Canelo won this fight then maybe we can see him and Crawford at 168 lbs next year to be the biggest fights.

For Zhang vs Joyce, Joyce stands no chance at Zhang got powe on both hands. The one that knockout Joyce is Zhang's right, which is very uncanny since his power is in left as he is a southpaw fighter.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are new cryptocurrency projects a viable investment choice? on: September 24, 2023, 10:00:20 AM
However, it's important to remember that new cryptocurrency projects carry inherent risks. While they do offer the potential for substantial profits, they are also susceptible to volatility and uncertainties in the market. Therefore, before considering any investment, it's advisable to do thorough research, assess the project's fundamentals, and consult with experts in the field to make an informed decision.

You're right. Well, I believe that you've done research about the said project, and asking you what you think, is this can be trusted or worthless?

And whatever you said, still I don't easily fall into trusting new projects. Why? I will stand believing that most of them are scams. Though they will show promising project fundamentals, good whitepaper, and big names behind them, still no assurance for their success, and most of the time fail because of the lack of support from the community.

Yes, this is very true, so it is still 50/50 to me, whether there is a good project to invest? remains to be seen. But then there are also projects that becomes meme coins like Shiba Inu, but really take off in the beginning without any questions and investors willing to take that risk.

So it's like a gamble, so either it will pay dividends or not in the end. And it's really up to your risk appetite, if you love that kind of risk then go for it. But if you are conservative enough then it's better to do your own investigation before investing.

I like it though that bot are the new trend right now.
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: September 24, 2023, 09:42:23 AM
The crypto bear market is far from over. Although the Bitcoin price is consolidated between $25k and $27k, one can not surely predict that the market is ready to pump. I think the market correction is not over yet, and the chances are that we might see a dip below $20k before the bull takes over. We might see some fake-out rallies in the coming months to attract more retail investors. Chances are that the market will pump once the BTC halving is over.

I agree that the bear market is far from over,  the crypto bear market may transition to a bullish market probably after the Bitcoin halving.  We all know that Bitcoin halving is the catalyst for the Bitcoin market to become bullish.  So we still have many months left to experience a bear market and we still have lots of months to accumulate Bitcoins.  In case anyone is worrying that the bear market will last forever, I believe that the market has its cycle where a bear market transitions to a bull market and vice-versa so just have patience and see for ourselves how the bear market transition to a bullish one after the Bitcoin halving.

Yes, I think the bear market is far from over, there are even some predictions that the price could still go down a bit as we approach the last couple of months of this year. On the other hand, it might be good to see the price trading sideways though, at least it's kinda like in the middle and we are all just waiting for next year and then the halving.

So we still need a lot of patience, if it trade sideways, then don't be bored, it's just part of the market movement. The best thing if you have funds is just to continue to accumulate at this boring and sideways patterns.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 24, 2023, 09:07:48 AM
It seems that the boxing community here has predicted it right, Zhang by KO, those who voted got it 85% and hopefully they got the win here as the odds are very close if I'm not mistaken.

And if I'm going to describe the performance of Zhang, it's methodical, he just wait and stalk and see what Joyce will offer to him in the first couple of rounds. And after his read, he started to work, body shots to confused Joyce early and hit he target practice Joyce chin with that big right hand. I thought that it will be the uppercut that might closed the show, but still Zhang for the KO win.

Here is the video of the fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so0miye3rYs

Not me. I truly believe the first fight was just a fluke. But Joyce looks very scared already even in the first round.  That right hook was planned, Zhang knew he was about to KO Joyce.
It's a good thing that I have not seen this thread up yesterday for I would have bet for Joyce to win thinking Zhang's win was just a lucky win due to Joyce's eyesight. I was focused on UFC FFight Night.

Joyce did not say anything about retiring but I think this is his last already.

Good for you mate, at least you didn't get some money to lose on Joyce here. But it seems that Joyce is still affected mentally by the first fight because he has been reluctant to throw his power punches, and very defensive as others have noted.

And so it's hard to overcome if you are afraid to throw your shots and just play defense because it won't work. And then Zhang really goes off in the 3rd round and Joyce had no answer. He try with his jabs, but it was not sharp enough to even stop Zhang from taking his offense and it was a perfect shot and I don't see him recovering from that huge right, it was a perfect counter. Joyce might have to take a rest for the rest of the year and re-group.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: September 24, 2023, 08:55:01 AM
~snip~
With open source, it will invite more and more developers to get involved in various AI projects and work on them for later release. With the release of AI projects from many developers, AI projects will grow even more because each developer will use their abilities to design great AI models for various domains, not just the gambling business.

Supported by increasingly advanced technology, the development of AI will also become more advanced and better. In the next 5 years or 10 years or even 20 years, there will be AI models that will be much better than the current ones. Everything will change so quickly that we will not expect it because the development of existing technology will help everyone, including human activities.

The speed of advancement of AI is incredible. It took about 10 years from the initial AlexNet (the winner of the Visual Recognition Challenge 2012) to now having generative AI advancements every year basically.

Even months is a short amount of time with all the big techs competing against each other to win the AI race

I don't know maybe we can also count Deep Blue, a project that was build by IBM and take the task to have a 6 games matches against the number 1 chess player that time in Gary Kasparov and beat him.

But recently, the phase was really accelerate to the point that we feel threaten, specially the notion that AI might be used for jobs that is supposedly design for Human. In any case in sports, it might take several years. However, I don't know if they can perfectly predicted the outcome though, as there are a lot of sports analysis that is needed just to be able to somewhat predict the correct winner.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 24, 2023, 06:42:56 AM
I agree with the Non-KYC because this is the experience of the crypto becoming anonymous and being transparent. You don't need to get worried about your data we know how does people use the data of other people even though they say that "we protect your data." There's no safe on the internet right now the cons only I've seen here is the recovery of the account the assurance of the player for their accounts are lessen if their devices get comprise by other people the casino does not have the capability if there's no KYC for verification the real owner.  Having a level 1 KYC is enough for me im not a large gambler large withdrawal is not too much issue.

Right, every casino is asking for KYC right now, although there could be some that doesn't require specially if you are just withdrawing small amounts. But if you are a whale and big bettor, I will assume that they will have to asked KYC at least level 1 for the casino to get to know you.

Of course, you have every right not to pass if you don't feel like to. But you have to move on and look for other casinos that might or might not ask you to go to KYC process. Just be careful though, we might need to read the ToS first before enrolling to a new casinos.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I can't keep up with the High gas fees on: September 23, 2023, 11:43:20 AM
Excessive transaction fees are a big problem for everyone. Those who are small investors can't trade any coins with extra transaction fees even if they want to. Those who are small investors mostly invest in bitcoins and in case of investing bitcoins they trade bitcoins in different places which makes them pay extra transaction fee from bitcoins. Bitcoin and other ALT coins also had to be transacted with high transaction fees. Transaction fees may depend a lot on Bitcoin transaction fees. If the transaction fee of Bitcoin increases, the effect may be on the transaction of other ALT coins in the market. If transaction fees were normal then maybe no one would have any objection to transact or no one would have any complaints about extra transaction fees.

This is have the issues for years already, if I'm remember it correctly even around 2018-2019, the Ethereum gas fees are so high. First it was due to "CryptoKitties" (remember this?)

And this is the start of the whole network congestion on Ethereum and they try to sell the Ethereum 2.0 to solved this from PoW->PoS but still the problems still exists and I don't think that it can be resolved any time soon. There were times as well that the gas fees is very expensive as compare to Bitcoin sat/vB mempool transactions.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 23, 2023, 10:52:57 AM
(....)
I know some of you people will agree that bitcoin may reach $250000. What about bitcoin to reach all-time-high before halving? As for me, I do not think so and the all-time-high I am predicting is $170000.
I am not really hoping high here or just having hopium.
What I am expecting and I am already happy for Bitcoin is just to create a new all-time high before the Bitcoin block halving.
That is what I am expecting because of the history of Bitcoin block halvings that happened before.

I have a feeling that bitcoin may not hit another ATH pre-halving. Usually it would fall several months after the halving.
Just like how the last 3 halving have turned out. Everyone were expecting another ATH, and the value were unprecedentedly higher than what was everyone was expecting, well expect for those who were over hyped with their 6 digit predictions.
Bitcoin may still fall below $25k even if we are getting closer to the date of the halving, but I'm pretty sure it'll kinda bounce back stronger a few months after.

And I think that what's history tells us and I don't see the pattern breaking off. So in the next 6 months we will be having our halving. But as you can see we are way our last all time high and I don't see it getting breach. I'm not even seeing the price getting to $50k pre-halving, and the best price that we can muster is around $30k so far.

So there's no new trend here, it will be way below the last all time high. And we will go at least touch the last all time high after the block halving. So still the best time to accumulate for now till the block halving.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: September 23, 2023, 09:54:01 AM
It may not be a superstition but a requirement for that person.  If they received a tip or some involvement with the players in a match what events will take place, any inside info as to who is sick or missing from that game then he has no choice.   Its quite sensible to protect your sources if you should have any.
I'm not arguing with anyone who could say this to me, they cant explain themselves and I dont want the trouble for them or myself.

Probably yes, to protect himself as well and we can't blame that gambler, and with that if we have received some inside information and tips, for me we shouldn't shared to the gambling public.

Just bet on it and then go home and see if it hits or not. If you won then good for you, no need for others to hear what you have heard of. It's enough for you to win that game and enjoy it and don't try to explain it to others as well.

You want news everyone about Dwight Howard's development together with the Golde State Warriors? Here's what we've got.

Warriors Will Not Sign Dwight Howard After Two-Day Visit, per Report

Warriors pass on signing Dwight Howard to maintain roster flexibility, per report

Many thought that it's like 99% of him signing on the current roster of the Warriors but then, that little percentage of failing prevailed.

Man, that’s a bummer. I wonder what went wrong. It seemed like a done deal. Those reports seem like they’re from accurate sources though. Dwight Howard seemed like a perfect fit for them. He must either still be a chaotic individual off the court, or old age has come at him fast. He was just winning a championship ring 3 years ago.

I also thought that it was a done deal already as Howard is a sho-in for the Warriors and it might work for him and for the Warriors as well. Maybe we will know what Dwight Howard didn't passed. Perhaps maybe his age or his antics in and out of the court.

Or just the Warriors just looking for a swing man as they have already Draymond and Saric and other names mentioned as well that they could experimented and developed to become a good back up Center for them.

1. 🇵🇭 Marlon Tapales - This November
2. 🇵🇭 John Riel Casimero

So he has his own hit list, similar to what Floyd did before and he all beat them. As least for this 122 lbs, Inoue's hit list is good.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: September 22, 2023, 02:23:41 PM
Voted for Shakur Stevenson to win via decision here.

I think Shakur would be very careful not to be hit by that one shot that would send him to the canvas as this De Los Santos packs a punch as almost all of his opponents were KOed by him, 14 KO out of 16 wins, that's amazing though that came from less popular opponents but still, he needs to be careful.

Of course, with Shakur's ring IQ, he will have a good time to show his defense agains Delos Santos and we might say that he will look amateurish against Stevenson here. But we will give credit to Delos Santos for accepting this fight as a replacement for Frank Martin.

And to add to that, Shakur calls Frank Martin a bitch, but hopefully they can still fight in the future because there are animosity already and it could grew up in years as the might become the face of 135 lbs.

De Los Santos views this as an opportunity, and why wouldn't he accept it if he believes in himself? We've seen similar scenarios, like Ugas vs. Pacquiao, where Ugas was a replacement and won the fight. There are many possibilities in such situations, and one should never underestimate a hungry fighter eager to reach the top. Shakur needs to be cautious here because, while De Los Santos may not be widely known, his record shows a high KO ratio.

Possible, but we shouldn't compare fighters though. In this case, we love to see how De Los Santos will perform against Shakur. I mean, there are reports that it seems everyone doesn't want to have any of Stevenson, but at least De Los Santos is willing to go even if he is rank way below the top 5 if I'm not mistaken.

And as you have said, this is a great opportunity, and lets say he lost the fight, but he shows the world that he is not ducking everyone, not Shakur or even the best of 135 lbs fighters.
