6581  Economy / Speculation / This bitcoin news writer wants bitcoin price down on: July 16, 2019, 02:01:54 AM
I reckon this might imply that there are whales who want to create fear to cause bitcoin to fall so they can buy or they are in a short position.

In any case, why this sudden sentiment from a bitcoin news journalist? Did JP Morgan pay for this article hehehe?

Tom Lee disapproves

The Feds Will Kill Bitcoin via Regulation

We’ve seen this before.

In 2011, the online poker world was rocked when the DOJ indicted executives of the biggest poker sites, seized the websites and froze player accounts.  It also turned out Full Tilt Poker was a Ponzi scheme in which only $60 million was available yet players had $390 million owed to them.

Barack Obama’s administration hated payday lenders, gun dealers, and pornography operators. So they attempted to shut those businesses down by choking off their access to the financial system. The FDIC threatened banks with fines and litigation unless they refused their business, while ACH houses that facilitated online payday loan transfers were shut down.

Make no mistake. The federal government wants bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies dead.

They will choke the life out of them through regulation.

Naturally, foolish bitcoin traders rushed into bitcoin and sent its value higher because they don’t really understand what Steven Mnuchin said. Now they do.

6582  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-14] Wells Fargo Won’t Allow Customers To Buy Bitcoin on: July 16, 2019, 01:30:36 AM
Shall we add a little nuance? It says they're not allowing their customers to buy with their credit cards which falls into line with plenty of other banks. Your debit card or bank transfer is just fine.

This appears to me that the banks might be anticipating another fomo hehehe. They cannot risk their credit card holders to be in debt and not pay them.

The lessons of late 2017 hehe.
6583  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-15] Angry Investors Burn down Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Operator’s Home on: July 15, 2019, 05:48:13 AM
@malevolent. It might be a regular African house made of wood and grass that has no security. How else would the victims have entered and looted the house and burn it?
6584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 15, 2019, 04:45:41 AM
@LTU_btc. I was enoying the race between Max and Charles Leclerc until the Sebastian, Max incident. Max might also have overtaken Charles if their battle continued for more laps.

However, Sebastian immediately apologized and Max happily accepted. Why is Max effortless on being ok about it? It appears he does not care. Will he leave Redbull after this year?
6585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: July 15, 2019, 03:58:29 AM
We should learn something from Grin's transition.

Yup the transition will happen in 28 days when there will be more GRIN in existence then AEON. And it will never reverse again. A solid permanent transition.

One week to go.
Then will be:
15854612 Aeon in existence and 15912540 Grin.
3559 Aeon mined a day worth $2619 and 86400 Grin mined a day worth $334368.
Aeon mining inflation will be 8.19% and Grin's 198% or as its today more modern to say Aeon Stock to Flow will be 12.1 compared to Grin 0.5.

Transition is real!

What transition are you implying? I said we should learn from Grin's transition plan on slowly changing to 100% Asic mining that would occur in a 2 year period.
6586  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-07-15] Angry Investors Burn down Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Operator’s Home on: July 15, 2019, 03:13:15 AM
The lesson is never to create a bitcoin ponzi scheme in South Africa to take advantage of thousands of poor Africans who will not think twice of burning your home hehehe.

Per sources close to the incident, gullible investors who pumped their hard earned money into a Bitcoin Ponzi scheme organized by a Ladysmith resident named Sphelele Sgumza Mbatha, have taken the law into their own hands by setting Mbatha’s property ablaze.

6587  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] Japanese Exchange Hacked for $32 Million in Cryptocurrency on: July 15, 2019, 02:54:04 AM
In any case, I reckon this might be another inside job. Yakuza hehe?

It is very easily possible, imagine yourself in a situation when you have access to dozens or hundreds millions $, and you can hack them anytime. Some simply can not resist to such temptation, and if they are smart enough until it is discovered who is the true culprit, they may be far from the reach of justice.

Crypto exchanges should pay more attention to their employees, they are in most cases the weakest link in the security chain.

Agreed. Someone can also threaten an employee or the employee's family to force him to do whatever the criminals want within the exchange.
6588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 14, 2019, 03:20:27 AM
@Naida_BR. Agreed! This is also Lewis Hamilton's home race. Team orders hehehe. Also, the 2nd row on the grid is Charles versus Max again. Who will first push the other out on the side?
6589  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm down. on: July 14, 2019, 02:53:14 AM
@bitcoinUF. I reckon he is from America not France hehehe.

@buwaytress. Agreed. However, never include Tom Lee in your list of random idiots. He is a special phenomenon like Gangnam style hehehehhe.
6590  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] Japanese Exchange Hacked for $32 Million in Cryptocurrency on: July 14, 2019, 02:15:16 AM
When I was a little girl I was told repeatedly that Asians were all competent and efficient and stuff yet Japan and Korea have become the world capital of hacks. I thought the extremely expensive and comprehensive Japanese licencing was partly about satisfying the people who issue them that this wouldn't happen?

I'd be very curious to know what places like Coinbase and Gemini are doing that these places are not.

Also, that China was the cheap copycat of Japanese products. Today, most Japanese products are made in China hehe.

In any case, I reckon this might be another inside job. Yakuza hehe?
6591  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] Fed Chairman Jerome Powell Compares Bitcoin to Gold on: July 14, 2019, 01:51:39 AM
He also mentioned other things on why bitcoin has become a speculative store of value. The unsustainability of the present fiscal policy of America and the dollar might not be the reserve currency forever.

The skeptical me would think he is already holding bitcoin hehehe.
6592  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm down. on: July 13, 2019, 01:12:52 AM
@1Referee. I reckon most of the bitcoin news websites might be similar to ICOs or altcoins. They will be insignificant after the hype has gone hehehe. How many of the are there spreading the same news with clickbait titles and lower quality? There are too many of them.
6593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 12, 2019, 03:51:16 AM
Also, it is very strange that Kawhi accepted lesser money to join the Clippers.

Seen or already read this article that published just a few hours after Kawhi's decision?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/curtisrush/2019/07/06/kawhi-leonard-chooses-la-clippers-for-less-money-than-toronto-raptors-could-have-offered/#4623ecd57c8f

(Don't focus on the title but on the content, it's really a click bait lol)

This is a long article but good to read for some additional references believed me.

(P.S Some thoughts are speculative so again, just considered those as references.)

This article is creating a story about Kahwi and a desire for a longterm legacy. That is a good storyboard, however, I heard he has made some strange decisions in the past like deciding to go to San Diego State instead of the finer UCLA.

In any case, I accept the he wants to be close to his family in LA argument.
6594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm down. on: July 12, 2019, 03:14:12 AM
It is easy to disparage the media to calm down ourselves hehehe. However, we should also ask why bitcoin is beginning to approach near the volatility it had in the beginning of 2018.

I reckon it might be whales on high leverage trading again.
6595  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: July 12, 2019, 02:48:11 AM
@Ronnie. Your formula 1 race match ups betting has the wrong race indicated. It is the British Grand Prix on Sunday, not Austria. Fix it to avoid confusion hehe.

6596  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-21] Bitfinex Argues Why Judge Should Dismiss NYAG Case in Latest Case on: July 12, 2019, 01:35:45 AM
I do not know how it might occur. However, I reckon with the cryptospace finding many ways to avoid regulations most of the time, the regulators might be very determined in taking down one big fish to make a statement.

here's an idea. maybe the NY prosecutors are just a pawn in a larger game. with this scathing filing, they have obviously established jurisdiction over bitfinex/tether. that gives them the right to compel lots and lots more documents pertinent to possible fraud, securities violations, violations of their previous settlement with the CFTC, etc etc etc.

even if NY can't shut them down or freeze their money, discovery in this case may hand the USA a federal case on a silver platter. and the USA likely can shut them down, seize servers, and freeze at least some of their money.

I reckon money laundering would certainly be one of the violations. It might be real or implied but it would be the best chance the agency has to hand this case over to the FBI.

The mainstream news media would love this storyboard, bitcoin exchange used for money laundering to fund terrorism.
6597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 11, 2019, 03:01:29 AM
@mich. Agreed. She also looks a little similar to Arya Stark with the big eyes and the very wide forehead hehehe.

This pose you might like.

6598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 11, 2019, 02:36:38 AM
@harizen. Kahwi Leonard is more impactful as a player than what the sports media implies, I reckon. All of them talk about statistics and promote players more similar to Lebron or Stephen Curry as the face of the NBA because they get more clicks doing this.

Also, it is very strange that Kawhi accepted lesser money to join the Clippers.
6599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: July 11, 2019, 01:57:54 AM
@freedomgo. It was because you did not read what I said. I said bullish in fiat, capitalization doubled in fiat and their only difference, bitcoin is more volatile.

In any case, Tom Lee's latest statement hehe.

I think all-time highs are imminent.

6600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2019-03-20: current version is 0.12.9.0] on: July 11, 2019, 01:45:05 AM
beautiful marketing document, to comment before diffusion:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeon/comments/c9bk1b/aeon_marketing_initial_document/

I like it, however, the information is not that different from other cryptocoins. We have already seen this before repeatedly. It is not interesting anymore.

I reckon Aeon should go back to its original vision. A lightweight cryptonote coin that can run on your smart phone.
