661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 26, 2023, 01:19:29 PM
Moving to SPL is the last thing Mbape can consider at the moment no matter the amount of money they offer, and as you said,he can only leave to that league when he wants to retire from football just like Messi and Ronaldo did. They are still in that league, and they are doing well at where they are, earning huge amount of money.
Mbape cannot win the champions league when he is at PSG,and I believe he has noticed that, and it's the reason he wants to move to Real Madrid by the January transfer window,to see if he can get chance if winning the champions league with them.I believe he is the next person on the line for the Ballon'Or.
If Mbappe's goal was money then he would have been in the SPL this season because last season there was an offer from an SPL club with a 300 million clause and 7 times the salary compared to him being at PSG but it was rejected outright because Mbappe did not want destruction in his career.
In terms of money indeed he will change very rapidly but the target of professional players especially with the talent that Mbappe has is of course not only money but there is something more for individual achievement like some legendary players or maybe now the benchmark is Ronaldo and Messi.

The SPL is currently not going to enter the list of Mbappe because he is still a lot of big clubs in big competitions also want his services so it would be a shame if we continue to discuss the SPL and Mbappe because it will not happen.
I agree with what you said because however at this time he is one of the most highlighted players and is predicted to replace the role of Messi and Ronaldo in modern football which is currently our two goats have entered the final phase of their careers so Mbappe is one of the successors who deserves to have great achievements from club and individual achievements.
Now the offer to PSG is also not small from big clubs in Europe for what imposes by continuing to discuss SPL which in the end this will only be the last choice for Mbappe.
What he needs to become a great player now is not SPL but a bigger club and a bigger competition than PSG and Ligue 1. Indeed PSG is also one of the big clubs but they will not be enough to accommodate Mbappe's desire for achievement for himself.

Agreed, Mbappe going over to La liga is the best for Mbappe fans as well for his personal career development. Mbappe on PSG has won 5 out of 6 Ligue 1. There's no real competition their. A youngster that is in line for the goat title should go where he could show his skills. There have been rumors that Mbappe already have bought a house in madrid and these rumours are generally true.
If the likes of Haaland and Willian joins La liga, it would be the league of attention next year. Just hoping they are not in the same team. All of them on Real Madrid would again make it similar to PSG.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 25, 2023, 05:01:54 PM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.

The most important thing is controlling your nerves. Make a budget for your gambling needs and never overdo that.
Gamblers do have a strategy and a plan. The problem arises when they go out of their plans rage betting or betting reckless or due to a bias. The difference on crypto and real cash could also be a reason why people tend to gamble recklessly when it comes to online betting.
The best thing is to keep your mind agile at all situations. Don't gamble when you are intoxicated. Gambling should be taken as an entertainment unless you are a professional.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 25, 2023, 09:59:25 AM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

In terms of probability there would be no difference if it's a rich or poor. Math works same for everyone. Not every rich and poor person are the same.
But if that's observed case and we need to generalize the two slabs, the culprit could be bankroll or lack of it. Rich people have much freedom to bet an increasing amount multiple of times and change their strategies if one is not working while a poor one have limited options.
Another reason could be how the person manages and executes their finance and gambling. Rich people are good with financial management and budgeting while poor people might be more likely to rage bet when they keep on losing.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The love in football on: November 24, 2023, 04:03:42 PM
Why do people love football more than any other sports

Football is the most cosmopolitan game in the world. The reason for is it's ease of understanding the motive and rules and easy setup for play and practice.
Football doesn't need much gear, just a ball and upto 22 people would be contended. It doesn't have a strict requirement for the field on unofficial games like futsal.
The game of football is fast paced and the gameplay are mostly around one and half hours. i.e. it ends quick. It's easier for viewers to find and follow the action.
Even a person who have never seen a game would know and start enjoying the game in a few minutes.
The game doesn't stops or delay due to minor weather conditions. And  it's truly a team game where everyone needs to perform well for a win.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: November 24, 2023, 02:06:54 AM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?

I don't because I'm poor. I gamble only when I have money to spare. I have a day job that pays me well so poverty is not my motivation.
I do admit I have gambled online to get the transaction fees to withdraw as I prefer withdrawing in fewer digit amounts and lost all in some cases. I might also have gambled to get a fixed amount online to get something done but that should not be considered poverty,
I have seen poor people gamble and that's a sure shot way of destroying your life. No poor have gambled to richness. There are lottery stories but the money coming from luck don't last long.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 23, 2023, 05:42:22 PM

Right now, India in well control with SKY and Ishan Kishan both doing impressive job with now required equation is 95 runs on 55 balls, pitch is favorable for the batsmen and bowlers are suffering badly in both innings.

Couldn't believe how easily India chase this target. two wickets fall in the first three over and lot of pressure created and then Sourya and Kishan played a best inining where they not only saves wickets but also decrease the score board pressure. Good to see Young Sourya Kumar Yadav doing their best as a captain. He really deserve to be T20 format captaincy. He proved himself that he has ability to lead the team, put out team from pressure.

Match is enter in the last over(now last ball). Australia fight till the last over but unfortunately SYK already take away match from the Australia. Rinkhu singh is the man who hit two crucial boundaries at the end and make it easy to win first match. Rinkhu hit aggressive six but due to no ball commentators says that six will be he not  count. I hear first time this rule.

The first innings were finished and the second innings were also started but at first, I think Australia made a score because of Josh Inglis. If he doesn’t participate in the team so I don’t think that the Australia team is able to make these huge runs.

Josh Inglis has a huge hand in the back of Australia's target in this match, and in the second innings, India can be stable to play Australian bowlers, they lost their 2 wickets and now I am pretty sure that India will lose this match, and if you know that once upon a time Indian team was all out on 36 runs in test match so I think that Australian bowlers come in the ground with the same mindset, but Indian batters crossed 36 runs.

Though not a full side but it was surely one of the most competitive and thrilling last over for any international T20 in the histor. The sort of close contest imagined only on club games. India did had the advantage of knowing their target and was mostly comfortable along the game with the longer 3rd wicket partnership but Australia was on their hopes taking 3 wickets when they are sort of 1 run to equal. If won by Australia, it would have been an epic comeback.
There are still 4 more matches for Australia to get the tournament back and It's going to be more entertaining than most people expected.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 23, 2023, 03:32:43 PM
Analytical Trading is actually similar to gambling. The only difference in when timed right, you have a 50%+ chance of being a success.
Gambling is always limited to probability below 50%, even the odds on sports betting depends on how much people have gambled on each option plus house edge.
It would be difficult to generalize a gamblers mindset but something we could assume is they are good with numbers and are willing to take risk. Those are good signs in analytic trading and if they be able to hold their nerves, they can have more success from trading as compared to gambling.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 21, 2023, 11:30:07 PM
Have you ever thought of giving back to the community if you ever had a successful gambling run? One of those punters on X, who usually wins large sums of money from betting, is giving out about 25 laptops to folks who cannot afford them, and he recently paid for someone's cybersecurity online course. Do you think this is something that you can do—give back to the community from your gambling runs?

If I will be having that kind of huge win then I guess I might do the same. But the thing on influencer was they are just doing this kind of thing for views and promotion for their own benefits in the end. They will somehow use this as promotion to spread their ref links since most of the people who will view his video or post will surely follow him later on.

The only influencer that I really like is Mr. Beast which his content is solely for helping people and tackling real life problem using his social media influence. The rest of the influencer especially gambling influencer is not that legit. Imho

But if I win really huge amount. I will donate part of it on charity.  Wink

Exactly. They are more like doing cheap promotion for their social media accounts than providing anything. They might not even be a successful gambler as they wants other to believe. And considering there's no further sources/news for the said giveaway by said person, the actual giving away laptops too could be fake.

I don't mean there are no giving away on wins, I had have a number of drinks on real casinos without paying and rains of little amounts on online crypto sites from persons who win a large bet. There are lottery winners who donates to charity. But most of the gamblers are more focused on building the bankroll and spending for themselves. As gambling is never a risk free business and gamblers depending on how large they are have their own expenses.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: November 21, 2023, 05:31:29 PM
Brazil vs Argentina in just a few hours in Rio de Janeiro. Two wins and a draw from five matches saw Brazil move up to fifth place in World Cup qualifying with seven points and face a tough fight against the reigning world champions. The hosts lost 2-1 to Colombia in the last match. Meanwhile, after the first match of the World Cup against Saudi Arabia, the qualifiers suffered a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay for the first time. Argentina top the qualifiers with 12 points with four wins from five games and remain two points clear of second-placed Uruguay. Both teams are very strong but it doesn't look like it will be easy for the Brazilians to beat the world champions. I think the Argentina vs Brazil match is very likely to be a draw.

I know that everybody still doesn't fear that Brazil could get into trouble in this qualification, but when you look at what they have achieved so far in the group, we are talking about a win rate of 40% with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. This game against Argentina will obviously be very hard for them and Argentina doesn't want to lose it either and instead reclaim their supremacy in South America. A win against Brazil would underscore that. But then Brazil would have 3 losses already and could drop further in the table.

Argentina would be a difficult opponent for Brazil specially considering the form of the two teams. A draw would be something for Brazil to rejoice. But brazil still have a good enough chance to qualify straight as all of their initial matches were against better teams and they now get to compete with the lesser teams and they would further have chances to correct their scores in second leg. I believe, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil would be the safer teams to qualify while other compete for the remaining spots.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 21, 2023, 05:00:54 PM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?

I would not call myself a gambling addict but there were times I lost more than I could afford to. In past I spent hours in gambling sites. made 10+ sports bet a day for some months. And played dices and crash till I emptied my balance.
I was highly interested in horse racing as they were fast and stats readily available. I also loved using martingle and its mods on dice and crash. Sports bet were easier to plan but dice and crashes were emotionally motivated. A day, few years ago, after some spectacular loss, I rage bet all of my crypto holdings at lost it all. I was sick and depressed for a week. After that I have highly restricted my gambling desires and lost no more than in 3 digits.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: November 20, 2023, 12:56:40 PM
I was reading and I saw something that I would have agreed with before, but not anymore because of how much things have changed in the crypto gambling.

Quote
Faster and more secure transactions: Crypto transactions are processed much faster than traditional bank transfers, and they are also more secure.

Anonymity: Crypto casinos allow players to remain anonymous, which is appealing to some players.

Wider variety of games: Crypto casinos offer a wider variety of games than traditional online casinos.

More generous bonuses: Crypto casinos often offer more generous bonuses than traditional online casinos.

https://indiacsr.in/what-is-a-crypto-casino-meaning-advantages-and-potential-risks-explained/

Because of KYC verification which is now done by most crypto casino to know the people who gamble on their casino, I think anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency in crypto casino.

Am i wrong to think that this information on the internet needs to be updated.

There are still a few of legit gambling sites that don't require KYC and they're getting rarer. Mostly as they require to follow the laws of land they are based on.
A few more that enforce KYC only when flagged by the authorities but just that clause on their terms could be misussed anytime. So, ones seeking pure anonymity would avoid them.
The people who are really concerned about their privacy gambling would rather not gamble than provide their KYC. No any chance of playing nude baccarat online anonymously.
At present there are dapps gambling that has no control over who bet and the results are enforced by the smart contracts. They are growing but are less popular and their future still uncertain.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 19, 2023, 02:28:55 PM
Anyone with a half-decent brain knows that this pitch is really tough to bat on which is why the game is evenly balanced at the moment. Head is the key wicket currently. If he keeps playing for a long time, Australia will most probably win.

However, if he falls soon, India will have the upper hand since the pitch will most probably keep getting slower and slower. Exciting final!

Australians knows their target, so, they'd play safe till the last 10 overs and the way they are rotating strikes, the required run rate would not be large.
Australia essentially destroyed Indian batting as they are always the favorite playing under pressure. It's mostly the India who wins more games overall but Australia takes it all on the final. The game is still on but India would require a miracle to win over Australia as wickets would not be an issue when they play safe. Given a chance, Australian lower order can bat well. India seems to be one of the unluckiest team when it comes to winning the knock outs against australia.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 18, 2023, 11:55:25 PM
I have noticed some individuals claiming to be successful in gambling.
but, my personal experience with online gambling platform over the past 8 months has been consistently unprofitable
I haven't broken even or made any gains. I'm curious if anyone in our community has actually achieved profitability through gambling. If yes, we can calculate that how much percentage of us are profitable.
I know most of the people pay to win and deposit to recover previous losses.

I'm a hobbyist and a seasonal gambler. And I have a terrible luck. So, yes I'm in loss.
I've been gambling online for the last 12 years and there were multiple of platforms, strategies and analysis I've done. Had many wins and loss but the thing that turned my balance sheet heavily towards red is rage betting. And I still believe that if proper research have been done, you stay strict to your gambling strategy, have a good enough bankroll and most importantly don't rage bet, you can have both of the thrill and profit while gambling.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 18, 2023, 02:00:23 PM
I created this topic as a result of this news, a young Ghanaian man won 6,000,000 GHC ($501,664) with a bet of 40 GHC. This happened few days ago and it trended on social media. Some of the comments from netizens are that the young man should leave Ghana to avoid being robbed or poisoned.

I know some of us must have seen the formal presentation of a mega winner to the public by a gambling platform. Most times, these bookies invite media outlets to their offices to cover the ceremony, so that the news could be captured on newspapers, tv, internet etc. My questions are...  Can a bettor reject being unveiled to the public? Are gambling platforms paying an extra money for the publicity?

There are many examples of people being or trying to be ananymous when they win a large amount of money. Large amounts of money for a normal person do attract different risks. Being anonymous is much easier online while offline lotteries prefer to share the person and how it changed their life and most people also like the fanfare along the win. Sometimes it's the terms and conditions of the lottery that comples the winner to express themselves on media while when not such terms in existence, there are example of people
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 17, 2023, 02:16:50 PM
This is something I've always been wondering about. Gamblers tend to have a league, be it basketball football or any famed sport, that they tend to love most. For instance in the USA American football and NBA betting tend to be very popular, while in south and south east Asia countries cricket is also very popular among other sports. So people tend to have a league in a certain sport that they know the most about, have a favorite team in, know the players etc.

So what's your experience with this. When your league is in break, do you tend to try to follow other leagues that you're familiar with, or will you gamble on anything really? I'm interested to hear what other people have to say in this matter.

For me personally, I try to limit my gambling to teams where I know at least some players, because otherwise it's easy to get carried away. Really in my opinion, gambling on leagues and sports that you know little to nothing about, only increases the edge against you.

Sports betting for me are always seasonal. There are tournaments of every sports running throughout the year but I tend to bet only on the one's I'm actively watching. I bet on tennis when there are the 4 grand slams. For football, I bet on almost each of world cups knock out matches. I bet on Premier League, La liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and German bundesliga when in season but not in there B or C division or other countries league. Though a lot of my friends now follow Saudi and US league, I haven't bet on or actively followed them. I also occasionally bet on cricket, golf and basketball.
Except for the times during some promotions where we need to bet daily regardless, I prefer to stay passive when there are no games that interests me.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 16, 2023, 04:45:51 PM
The risk of providing KYC is your data could be misused. Either directly from the one asking or due to mishandling and hacks. Theft of identity and thousands of complicated situation arising from it.
And with the crypto and gambling most people do want to stay anonymous for personal and legal reasons.
Even in my jurisdiction, gambling with crypto is a gray zone, I have never paid taxes on gambling profits and I don't want my government to know about it and providing KYC would make it easier for the government to blanket prosecute every users.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 16, 2023, 03:35:54 AM
In the India vs New Zealand team match, India team batted first and set a target of 397 runs in 50 overs. India team won this match by 70 runs. India team set a target of so many runs because of New Zealand team's poor performance in the bowling line. India team batsman Virat  Kohli batted well in this match. Virat Kohli got out with 117 runs off 113 balls. New Zealand team had a good performance in batting. New Zealand team could not win this match because of bad bowling line.

The whole of this tournament have two interesting trends, Team India seems to be invincible and the average runs of this ODI worldcup is much higher than any other. Both of which could be the effect of IPL. And it's actually more fun to see a high scoring matches which are not heavily one sided. New zealand fought well too and could have given India some challenges if the could have held the middle order batsmen. Of the remaining teams, South Africa had a humiliating defeat on the hands of India while australia too was easily defeated. The cup's this time most certainly is for India unless something unexpected happens in the finals.

Pakistan VS Newzealand

Like i mentioned during the Asia cup. Middle overs, lack of quality spinners and over dependence on seam bowling could be the downfall of this team.

They only rely on seamers to take plenty of wickets in the first 10 overs with the new ball, after that, everything depends on kudrat ka karisma.

Batting - Good
New ball- death bowling - Simply amazing
Spin- Mediocre at best
Fielding- It's improved a lot but they still manage to fumble when it matters most.

There is another big problem with the Pakistani team, if they do not get any wickets in the first 10 overs then their bowlers tend to get confused. The first two bowling halves of their seamers are important for the team to make a difference with their bowling attack. The next issue is with the opening pairs, they seem to lack the skills to play an ODI. If Babar or Rizwan do not perform then those coming after them would lose their wickets under pressure.

Pakistani bowling is really confusing. Either they work and makes the team win or don't work and feels like an associate team bowling. Spin has been historically a less proritized genre in Pakistani cricket and they still lack them.
Pakistan certainly have one of the balanced team with excellent individual players. I had a high hope over the Pakistani team after years prior to the Asian cup but their loss with India and Sri Lanka showed they lack the consistency.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: September 30, 2023, 04:36:26 PM
Do you think that there is a dependence of online casino winnings on the time of year? For example, for 9 years of playing, I received almost all the biggest winnings from November to May. In other periods, the game develops much worse  Undecided.

What time of the year do you win more often?

Gambling depends on odds and odds watch no calendar.
Though there are times when more people are active gambling and there are times when online casinos bring in more offers and rebates.
Similar to how most of the sites gets more traffic on Saturday and Sunday.
November to May coincides major festival season and the overall experience could be more positive on a users perceptive when they are getting more chances for same money. But that again is my deduction and may not be entirely true.
I don't have similar experiences as I am an occasional gambler and don't gamble year round. But I'm attracted towards special offers during the festive season and anniversary of the respective casinos where I get better deals on my deposit.
