721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs - Good or Bad? on: January 28, 2024, 06:52:08 PM
ETF has nothing to do with decentralization, stay away.

The question here is rather whether you want to profit from the Bitcoin price, in which case an ETF is the right option for people who are not confident in dealing with physical Bitcoins. But if you see Bitcoin as an alternative to the currency system and are more ideologically motivated to invest in Bitcoin, then I agree with you that an ETF is the wrong option.

people couldn't resist that's why they pushed for that ETF but the negative effect will come in the long term. we\re happy ffor the approval though.
there were posts weeks ago that a pool tried sensor transactions which i wouldn't be surprised if it was the institutions who influenced them to do it since they are also investing in the stocks of these mining companies.

Whitney Webb a renowned journalist has been discussing BlackRock's agenda for BTC for a while and she said it started since the plan to censor the internet.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 28, 2024, 05:24:28 PM
Anything that's too much is bad, whether it causes a problem or not. That is why moderation is the key to anything, and just because one isn't losing money to anything doesn't mean they aren't causing problems. Their time is probably something that is the most affected of these all because it takes a lot of it to gamble that religiously.

Addicts not losing money are losing something in the process that they are completely oblivious about, and that's something worth pondering IMO.

too much money is even bad right? it's also the reason why i don't wanna be rich anymore. i hate money. lol

so let's say this gambler wins a lot and he got a lot of money. he may not consider the addiction as bad yet but after some time he will find out. it could be that he already doesn't give attention to his kids or wife which could lead to a bigger problem.

some problems don't disappear from people with money. for example too addicted may forget his health condition after sleepless nights gambling. this applies to workaholic men too.
723  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 28, 2024, 04:57:58 PM

a family needs to have a job to support his family. all the rest of the extra money are the ones he can use to gamble and with that, he won't worry about losing that extra money since he has a source of income, no pressure for him while gambling and he can think clearly as well.

when there is pressure to win because of the lack of funds, it is usually the cause of anxiousness.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 28, 2024, 03:53:12 PM

i guess if trump is a little interested in crypto about its advantages and uses i guess if he becomes president he will make policies that will benefit traders in the country, who knows Grin Grin Grin

he benefitted from the crypto project i can't see why not. now that is has earned from crypto I think he will become a crypto-friendly president after all he also doesn't want CBDC.

though he got those ETH for free through those NFT royalties, it's still a big mistake to sell it while the bull run hasn't come yet. he has tons of money so there is no reason for him to sell them.

725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 03:30:10 PM

there is nothing better for him to do now than wait til the authorities decide what to do with their kids. not the kind of ending that anyone would want for their kids.

he could have gambled online as i'm sure he could manage to do it while at home. but i guess the thrill of playing physically is more appealing to this guy. fatherhood didn't stop him from sneaking responsibilities.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking Hidden Gems! on: January 28, 2024, 03:09:19 PM
These three areas are where you would find hidden gems Defi, AI, and Memecoins if you are seeking good ROI. You would need to do your research before you invest in any crypto from those niches. No one here would recommend you a new cryptocurrency as it would look like a promotion. Go through different blockchains and find out what are the upcoming projects on those blockchains. As of now, Solana has some good projects coming up you can find details if you check their social media handles.

these are good suggestions but since he is new, i think sticking to BTC or simply just going to the top L1 projects will be best for him since its always the L1 projects that will make a good run during bullrun.

ETH, SOL or BNB will be the next thing should he have if not BTC. the prices of these tokens will always go up in the bull run, the information about these tokens is easy to understand too for someone who are new in the industry.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 27, 2024, 07:14:21 PM

but he won $2,000 isn't that enough to forgive his fault?   Grin

why didn't he just hire a nanny for a day if it was too itchy to play for a day, i think he can afford to pay a nanny. but now that he is in this situation, do you think will the kids be taken by the social service?

more bad news coming to him now that the authorities are going to look into this couple. and it's been in the news also this is going to get worse.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 27, 2024, 06:27:30 PM
I think what we call gamblers are those regular gamblers but yeah calling us gambler out of nowhere is out of ordinary but I don't think we can associate another word with it when it facts we gamble. Maybe it's just rooted on our memory that if we hear a gambler we tend to associate it on some bad person but I think it's just how we have perceived it but actually there's nothing wrong with it as long as you're not doing something illegal.
This is just the truth, but one thing here is that someone who have not seen you gambling or whom you have not talk about gambling with before can’t just walk up to you and call you a gambler, they need something they can hold on to before they can proceed with calling out someone a name.

If I say I gamble to my friend between me and my friend we know the limit to which we gamble and we can fine an actual word that can define that, but when someone call us a gambler I mean some random who don’t know much about us especially in our local which most times words pronounce in local sounds so hatch than what they actually stands for, but the truth is we can’t help it, if you play gambling they will also refer to you as a gambler.

translated in the local language, it connotates a bad person. but there is sort of an axiom in my country where they prefer to be called names or just about anything than called "old man".

what about "bettor"?  it does not offend somehow.  there are lots of terms to it like staker, punter, speculator, or risk-taker which sounds a bit of a pro.

i gamble myself but i don't consider myself a real gambler though as i'm just into sports. occasionally i do some slots and roulette.

730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 27, 2024, 05:41:39 PM

when you come to an age where your back aches already, it's time. you wouldn't want people to see you with a face of disgust. you know it when you don't belong in the crowd anymore.  no offense to the old guys. you're not going there in a wheelchair. because if you do, one can tell your children weren't taking care of you.

i'm sure when you get to that age, you already are receiving a pension to survive. you don't need to gamble anymore.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 05:27:22 PM

when a gambling addict goes home and the first thing they hear is their nagging wife it really will boil the blood of the addict. and when he goes to the table without something to eat, it will turn the addict into a battering husband.

this is the kind of life in which the addict usually ends up either a drug addict or a gambling addict, especially if he doesn't contribute to making the wife's life easy.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL and XRP have the highest market capture? on: January 27, 2024, 04:26:34 PM

they are not going away. but should we not consider them altcoins?

people are using Tether to trade BTC. we can't afford to crash this one or else the whole crypto market will crash. people including the large institutions are up to using it since it protects them from volatility. USDT could have been prosecuted by the SEC but seems they let it slide and pointed their finger at BUSD.
XRP has the richest team that fights back SEC.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO in 2017-2018 left the strongest impression on you? on: January 26, 2024, 08:48:58 PM

everyone during that time who invested in BTC and invested in the altcoins doing ICO profited from the bull market.
i have gained a lot also even when i was just participating in bounty campaigns. the ICOs was a success since there are still tokens from that time that are still alive today.

i participated in some ICOs some of those tokens are left in my old account after buying back and then the token end up dead or the team migrated to another contract and some of us who weren't aware of the migration ended up holding those tokens still.  i still have my useless ICONOMI (ICN).
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 26, 2024, 06:07:37 PM

the result of the poll says a number of us here want Francis to win. since i also want a rematch of Francis and Fury, i want Francis to win.
Francis is already a legend in both boxing and MMA sports so he is as experienced as AJ in fighting but because AJ is much more graceful than Fury, this fight could be tougher than him with Fury.

i think if Francis loses this fight, he may be concentrating more on PFL.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: January 26, 2024, 05:53:18 PM
Before buying alternative currencies, I think it would be better just to get some Bitcoin or Ethereum, in the case of newbies. Thanks for sharing the article, by the way.

I agree with what you said. If you are a beginner and don't have time don't try to buy altcoins or even join the initial offers. I see what makes people tempted to invest in altcoins is because of the hope of getting big returns. This is a mistake that many novice investors make and I hope they read this before they start investing.

short term investors are riding the pump in the bull market. some are buying the altcoins because the price is rising so it's easier to make money at that time as what they said. altcoins that are launched in the bull market are likely going to die in the bear market while the coins launched in the bear market can possibly make it to the next bull run.

50% turned out to be scams so why is the SEC not chasing those teams by the way? if what they want is to protect investors.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest Some Underrated potential altcoins for next bull run on: January 26, 2024, 05:40:28 PM
Today, See SOV, a best symbol of L2 bitcoin, its outlook and potential in the bull run cycle is very macro. Everything is being set up in earnest and the important transformation is about to begin. So this is the coin I'm optimistic about holding for the next bull run, all seems to be falling into place. I have confidence and optimism for SOV at ATH in 2025

Too good to be true. The circulating supply was not the same like when it was launched. As far as i remember that sov has been launched with small marketcap unlike this time. I think that it's only dreaming to see SOV to achieve its ATH again.
This time is kinda different compared to the when SOV launched in the market. There was no major exchange site was listing this token too. SOV developers are so stingy af. They were not willing to list their token on the major exchange site that can help to keep the liquidity of token.

This token looks so garbage. I don't really care with the current hype coz it will be only short term hype for sure. Please, take a look at the chart right now.

after it fell from $80 down to $0.18 in the bear season, it's hard to say this project can actually come back to life but they have pumped this token up to 54% this week alone. and the team has some kind of new things to hype like their BitcoinOS.

i don't know if the old investor would come back for this one after such disappointments. but who knows. It was a big jump yesterday if you look into the chart, it's already about to be dumped. it's just a matter of hours, it will be.

737  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 26, 2024, 05:25:32 PM

saving is not anymore a good thing these days because you only allow the government to steal the value from you. you save cash while they keep printing. investing nowadays is easy because even the unbanked can already try investing in cryptocurrency.

our bank apps are already allowing people to try cryptocurrency so there are now options to just dive into what is trending.  putting your money into cryptocurrency is a better way of saving while it also provides a chance to make a profit.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 04:43:34 PM
the older men most probably. they can do whatever they want with their money. the nursing home sometimes are doing BINGO i guess they can gamble there all they want.

if you are 60 and above, would you really be going to casinos rather than going to places?  it seems obvious that when you are old and have some money to spend you will want to be with family and watch grandsons.

I provided some of the topic but there’s a lot more the cover already this kind of discussion that will result to same opinion by other people regarding this matter. This topic has no exact answer because it varies on people preferences. We don’t give a fuck about others opinion about gambling.

he sure made a lot of threads about gambling for fun. when i play mahjong with my cousins during weekends, it's only for fun actually until one of us asks loan so we can continue playing. that's when the fun starts to turn into not fun anymore.

we always end the game and just ask our cousin who plays guitar to play some songs because we'll just be drinking. all the money we have is just to chip in to buy beer. there's the fun. you can tell that even if you are playing with relatives, they are not enjoying when money is on the line.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The intersection of AI and Cryptocurrency on: January 25, 2024, 07:02:25 PM

AI is the latest buzzword of the internet and you can see AI in everything you find and even if it has no real case, the developers like to add AI into the name to get more attention.

Not only the AI, but the project claims to bridges the gap between the non-crypto audience and the Defi, Cefi, and NFT Crypto markets. It is more a mixture of crypto terms than a serious project.
The trading volume is zero, the token price is zero, they deliberately mislead users by showing AI results and claiming that it means the project is successful.

Shit, this is just another shill. Roll Eyes

Now I can see what they are trying to do, showing just an AI-created picture and claiming the project is backed by AI. Grin

Instagram and Spotify, that's where I fell laughing.

it's being hyped that the first tokens that grew in price in 2023 are AI tokens. despite people not even knowing what their AIs can do. how do they bridge them where there will be usecase for the token is hard enough. L1 projects trying top figure it a long time ago.

But there are certain AIs that are pretty much taking over our lives like the ChatGPT.
if there is a team creating a physical robot available for everyone to purchase, i think it will be one of the successes of AIs. a robot for an old man who needs someone to push his wheels i tink will be useful.
