You may spend more

So much agree in this. With a lot of conviniences happening, you will tend to do transactions more often. But I don't think we should add this because this is a problem to people themselves and not in the system.

Data can be compromised

Online wallets should be really secure but I think as long as people find vulnerabilities they would be in risk of being compromised. This will all depend on how a company will create their wallet and how will they make it more secure.
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: August 28, 2020, 11:07:24 PM
Based on my experience trading Bitcoin for 3 years, patience is the key to success in making a profit. Imagine if we buy Bitcoin,
then we immediately sell it because the Bitcoin price drops -7%. Even though the price didn't last long up by about 20%, such
events often occur when trading Bitcoin. So we must have patience.

Patience can give you profits but knowledge and skills can give you more profits and take you higher. You can't just invest in any cryptos without knowing what it is, how will it be in the future and if it is even a scam. Patience is needed of course but it should be a combination and not just focussed on one.
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What difficulty do you face on trading bitcoin? on: August 28, 2020, 10:04:10 PM
For me, trading fees is very important to me. I think it is a difficulty to my trading as it is hampering my trading. Besides the price of bitcoin isn't stable.

To be honest, at first I didn't mind these fees since I was focussed on how much profit I can get in a period of time. I didn't know how volatile bitcoin is that I missed a lot of best chances to sell and buy again. Then fees hit me and I started losing some of that to fees. I guess this is also because I am not aware of the volatility of bitcoin.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 28, 2020, 09:15:03 PM
In our country they strictly implement the rules of not letting underage individuals to gamble in the past. Even in some places where there are no casinos, this is also looked into but right now they are quite soft in this that at the young age children can gamble and the worst part is that they are also influenced to other things more illegal than gambling.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 28, 2020, 01:13:06 PM
...There is no cure to gambling addiction.

Well, there is a way for a gambling addict to stop gambling and it all starts with the gambling himself. Stopping your gambling addiction is not easy, I could say that it is one of the hardest thing I've endured in my life even though I am not highly addicted. You're not aware of what is happening, you just wanted to gamble it is like a part of your breathing and you'll die without it.
It is like a part of you and even though you know that you should stop you can't because it is like someone or something is controlling you. It is really hard but with the help of the people I love I slowly stopped it, well, after some therapies I did. Also, I kept on gambling after that and realized I am doing my life wrong seeing my partner like that. If there's a will, there is a way.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 28, 2020, 12:31:38 PM
but we can do slots and dices without VR. We can still do poker, blackjack and roulette without it.

It's more atmosphericб don't you think so? You 're on gambling table with another players, can move your head, hands and so on  Smiley

I also thought of that but I also think of those people that are seriously into gambling and not entirely focussed on how how they gamble. This will be more entertaining to gamblers having fun since they will really try anything new but on the other hand, those gamblers that are going back because they just wanted to gamble might take the traditional way of gambling in a casino.
747  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: August 28, 2020, 11:43:47 AM
I think maybe because the bank is not the main thing that is obligatory for every human being there is a human being can save money anywhere. The place and time of the bank is only a place where we keep a lot of money and it is safer.
everything depends on every human being if it is safer, of course, in the bank and for faster transactions.

You have every right don't use a bank to store your money in it, but you cannot do without it when you pay for services such as electricity, gas, water, Internet which you pay monthly.

I don't understand since most of these bills you are saying, we go directly to their branches or office to pay without the help of the bank. Even in this pandemic, people are still lining up in their offices to pay. Most of the time we asked for online payments, remittances are either offline or have a problem with these.
748  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 28, 2020, 10:08:42 AM
We have to try to prevent corruption in every sector including healthcare. Only a government of good governance can alleviate the plight of its citizens in the Philippines.

The Philhealth issue is one big corruption news right now, imagine billions of pesos are wasted, because of the wrong system of implementation
it's heartless to rob a government agency in this time of pandemic, those involved should be prosecuted the head of the health sector the secretary should resigned out of decency but he's hanging on like a leech.

Let's be real though, there are bigger corruption happening and we don't know it even know how big that is. Philhealth may be the most popular right now but I think there are some too that maybe people are afraid to say, that they are so afraid to blow that whistle since it might not just blow the government up but also their heads.

The most popular biggest corruption happening right now and I'm glad that they are on hot rod and I think those corrupt officials will be punished by now but I think there's lacking, this corruption will not be done if there's no approval made by the past administration. I hope all of them will get jailed to serve as warning to other corrupt officials.

I also hope that happens. I can't forget how President Rodrigo Duterte hates the corruption happening inside the government and promised that he will be stopping that once and for all. We can't actually tell the progress of that promise but all we know is that most of those corrupt officials are slowly being presented to the people, hope we end corruption at the end of his term since it is his vow.
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: August 28, 2020, 08:28:57 AM
I still can't figure out how to combine crypto and the gaming industry. But if it really works, why not?

Well, the gaming industry is fluorishing for a couple of years now and new names in the community are also being known, not just known since most of them are also being millionaires out of these games or platforms. Maybe we can reference SAO II(GGO arc), an anime about virtual world where they can take their out of that game and use it in the real life. That would really work though IMO there are a lot of things still to consider.

But it would be exciting if VR devices will emulate our facial reactions when pplaying poker. It will be great to just bluff everytime.

Going home, I told this to my co-teacher and he's laughing because he knows that gamblers would not be addicted to that. But he added that instead of these casinos having big machines inside, why not just a headset and a VR component and they will just sit there with additional experience and effect that they wanted to. Still, we're just having fun and I think that wouldn't still be popular, don't you all think?
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 26, 2020, 01:31:52 PM
Yeah, I think even if his losses are unknown, I think he should be higher. Michael Jordan's salary alone in NBA is at $30M, that could go in a lot of ways in betting. Another thing is Michael Jordan's shoes are so popular even though he is retired, it is said that he earned $100M from Nike last year. And still, there are a lot of deals where he can still get a lot of money from so a lot of money for him to bet. That $2.5M loss was just last year, we don't know but he might still continuing to bet until now.
...Like Royals. As much as possible they are discrete with their gambling habits.

Yeah, I've been also wondering those people born in the family of royalty. I've been watching some videos of princes and princesses and I think with a lot of that spoiled children, there will be no member not addicted to gambling at all. I don't know how they hide it in the public but for sure, there are those royalties that are addicted to gambling. Maybe they are just doing it online.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 25, 2020, 10:40:55 PM
I don't get how Michael Jordan ended up in the middle spot when his losses was unknown.

I remember there was another former nba player that lost a lot from gambling but I couldn't find the thread.

Yeah, I think even if his losses are unknown, I think he should be higher. Michael Jordan's salary alone in NBA is at $30M, that could go in a lot of ways in betting. To tell how online casinos will look, we should take a look on how most modern VR games look like. Here is Half life:

I do not know what do you think, but for me it's pretty good. It's hard to do a good game with open world in VR, but it;s easy to do highly detalized table with players and cards, for example. So i think it is a good idea. The problem is that for such games you need to spend some money on VR equipment, which will cots 300-400 dollars. Not many people have such opportunity and desire.

It looks amazing but I don't think it will be a bangers for the gamblers. I think this really suit those gamers and those games that they love transferring into VR but we can do slots and dices without VR. We can still do poker, blackjack and roulette without it. I guess they could test gamers on VR chat by adding a dimension there where they could gamble, still, I think it will still be for gamers and not gamblers.

755  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 25, 2020, 12:19:29 PM
In my country there have also been several people who have tried to test a vaccine that comes from this but I see that there is still no development and must do further research, therefore it is better to protect the body than to have to try a vaccine that will not necessarily cure it.
...

As far as I know, that might be a part of the testing since most of the vaccines in the test are in phase 3. Some of my countrymen are also included in those tests and it makes me worry since that is a huge risk being taken by these people. The effects are still being observed and once we finish all of that testings, the productions time is the next problem.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin so unstable? on: August 24, 2020, 11:33:28 PM
we cannot compare bitcoin with gold or other currencies due to some reasons. All countries around the world have their reserve in terms of Gold and gold is a real asset But Bitcoin is an internet currency. unless Regulations are made in Bitcoin, it  will remain unstable. After regulation in world we may expect its stability.

Bitcoin is not just an internet currency, it is a digital currency. Regulations may seem pretty good but it will not tell us how stable the price will be in the near future. It will secure the users in that country, it may boost adoption and that also means having great price changes. Because of bitcoin being decentralized, I don't think we will be seeing it not volatile.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 23, 2020, 10:49:32 PM
I know that everyone thinks Clippers and Mavs series is closer than it looks, but I feel like there is a chance Clippers are doing pretty well considering PG13 hasn't played well at all. If the time comes and PG13 plays like himself again and defends Luka well and scores like he scores, I would assume that they would destroy the Mavs.

So, right now the teams could be looking closer but I feel like with more games the difference will move further away as well, and since there is really no home or away games, teams all play at the same place, I feel like clippers will continue to beat Mavs easier and easier until series is over, I do not see Mavs picking up one more game. Hopefully though Mavs will improve to be an awesome team in the future because they do have that potential.

I think we should not put that pressure on PG13 since he's doing his best, we all know that. I just saw this video where PG13 is labeled as the unluckiest player in the decade since most of the players he defended did the game-winner. And yeah, Mavericks won. If Clippers losses these series and Luka did the game winner against PG13, this is a considerable reason to say that it is really his curse.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 23, 2020, 10:34:18 PM
...most likely ordinary players who do not have problems with gambling addiction will suffer.

I agree, especially those people that can take those losses ten or even maybe a hundred times the set cap by this regulation. I don't think they will be willing to face an ombudsman just to prove that they can take a loss since that might affect their persona negatively knowing that they are gambling like that and in that huge amount.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 23, 2020, 01:42:05 PM
Asymptomatic cases are really scary knowing that they will never show us symptoms of the virus.

My father was tested positive but he was really surprised because he is not feeling most of the symptoms of the virus, it might be because of the immunity these people have from the virus. A lot of asymptomatic cases are also found in the US making it harder to track those people carrying the virus making these lawsuits really a pain in the head to investigate.

Somewhere I read that the proportion of asymptomatic cases can be as much as 95% of all the cases. Most of them are not reported, as the testing is not done. And scientists are divided on whether asymptomatic individuals can spread the disease or not. COVID is spread through micro-droplets, which are released when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Asymptomatic individuals rarely do this. So they may not be contagious, right?

There are researches saying that asymptomatic Covid patients have the same amount of virus in their body as those symptomatic cases. I don't know how they transmit the virus but some studies showed they can. Maybe when they spit, when they eat since the virus can stay in the utensils they used which also means it is really low percentage of being contagious.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 23, 2020, 12:35:05 PM
Well, it is not their fault if these gamblers get addicted to gambling, all they can really do now is to control those people especially if this is really growing as a huge problem that could affect the country. I also think that this is not an interference, I think of it as their way to remind these gamblers that they need to regulate their gambling activities, that they need to control themselves.
Addiction of the gamblers isn't tolerable especially if they are always doing it. The government can't do anything to but to do things like this that can help these addicted gamblers lessen their addiction into it.

I'm thinking too if the regulation that the government will put into these gambling casinos will affect the tax that they are paying or not. Hmmmmmm but anyway this will be a great help for the gamblers but I doubt that all of them will agree with this move.
I always wonder why they want restrictions if they don't want people to get addicted, simply ban could be enough right? So I feel there are lot of politics involved in such kind of decisions anyways lets come to the point, is it really going to stop the people from getting into more gambling? Absolutely not they have to work hard to earn more to satisfy their addictive nature.

As @Logitech says, the government are also thinking about the taxes they will be getting so they are putting this regulation but at the same time they do worry that the taxations happening might be lessen hence also affecting the government. There are obviously politics in there and we don't know what is happening between those curtains.
