Thinking out loud on the idea of taking a loan on your BTC to buy something (like a house or even a car)...
From what I have seen you have to store twice amount of BTC on the exchange to get half in a dollar loan at around 4% interest. I've also seen that the loan is for one year which means you need to pay it off each year.
-snip-
I'm warming toward the lending scenario. But I need to trial a loan first. I also saw that BlockFi is under some legal pressure so the ability to go through them could go away in the next couple of months.
It's nice of you to share your thoughts. Useful info. Please do keep us posted with any new findings.

I never liked ukulele basses, but this thing looks like it's a different league. Do the strings "stick" to the fingers like it happens with ukulele basses, or do they glide reasonably?
depends on the strings. you can get rubbery strings or more traditional wire wound strings (what my ubass has). each gives a different sound of course so it depends on what youre looking for as far as that goes.. and you do need a different nut for each type; the rubber strings are thicker. so swapping back and forth is a pain. I see. I've tried "normal" (el cheapo) rubber strings on ukuleles - not for me. I wonder if the stock strings on the microbass (rubber too, but with a fancy name) are any different.

Thanks for the info, Jimbo! The Micro Cube Bass RX is exactly what I use with my little 23" scale Gold Tone Microbass: I never liked ukulele basses, but this thing looks like it's a different league. Do the strings "stick" to the fingers like it happens with ukulele basses, or do they glide reasonably? Big box? Haven't used one since I got my first B-15. We were our own roadies back then and the Portaflex made life a lot easier. Not only that, it sounded much better than the big box monstrosities from Traynor, Fender, Marshall, Vox, etc.
My little GK is all I need now. Any larger venues and I simply DI.
+1 If I do get a big box, it will be to move some air in my decently sized live room. The box itself will hardly move from there! :-)

The GK lurking in the back smells bass player indeed ;-)
Not every amp can handle the extreme range of a Hammond organ with pedals. The GK rocks. It's also my main gigging bass amp. The only other bass amp I use now is a little battery-powered Roland I use to add depth to my acoustic Microbass. In my club gigging days I used Ampeg B-15s. I never had an Ampeg, but I do have a Roland Micro Cube Bass RX and a GK MBS III. No big box at the moment, though I'd like to get something that projects a bit more for my project studio/rehearsal room.

I'm more of the First Church of Laurens Hammond, and a huge fan of Don Leslie, for rotating speakers. I have three Hammond organs and two Leslies.

-multisnip-Why do you guys diss her? I often wonder why wo will attack or defend various people. I feel mostly she is attacked and not sure why you all do it. Don't think I've attacked her in this thread but I can probably suggest a few reasons: So yeah I can see why some people think "bore off, things are happening quickly already" about this Thunberg woman. I never dissed or attacked Greta here or elsewhere. I agree with some of her points, actually. However, BitcoinBunny mentioned a few facts that explain why I don't like the way she was set up. Talking to the Pope, for chrissake? Meet the US president? It's daddy who pays for all that and sets things in motion. Daddy and his well connected gang of friends. I challenge any other young one to equal Greta's reach, no matter how much sense they make.

My guess: this 2nd leg of the bull market will have at least 6 more months to go. That would be interesting, my expectation is that a lot of people are expecting a peak in december (for 2017-reasons). If they sell then and miss out on another 3 months of bull market that's going to mess with some people's expectations. You mean by messing with the price trajectory?

This is all wrong. What kind of a sound system are they setting up? I cringe hearing the resulting midrangey mess with my mind's ear. These people definitely can't party.

Come on boys, what's up with all the crap? You're giving the finger to each other without taking the time to even breathe. Get a room. Better yet, don't look at the finger. Look at the moon

~ go to $10m, $20m, $50m, even $100m. Over time.
I really don’t see that Dabs, like ever. Unless you’re talking about the Idiocracy Era (year 2500+). Definitely. By that time, the world will see an unprecedented crash in all state issued currencies, including UNY (USA New Yuan).

Make or break, I'm not so sure. There was a bit of unusually effective China FUD and other fuckery, but S2F and all the rest are still a thing, aren't they? The make or break moment is nearly upon us. If the next 40 days doesn’t produce the beginnings of a major bubble, it will start to discourage those of us who have been watching the stock to flow ratio for a couple cycles now.
Luckily it seems there’s news of an approved ETH incoming that seems to be legitimate…
This ETF (that's what you meant, right? Mind your fingers slipping into heresy ) can maybe be a catalyst, but I think that what is about to happen is about to happen, ETF or not.
